Donna Hauf
MESQUITE, Texas - Donna Mae Hauf, 66, of Mesquite, Texas, formerly of Bartlett, died July 16, 1999, at her home.
Mrs. Hauf donated her body to Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Aurora.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Hauf was born
on Nov. 15, 1932, in Bartlett to Richard and Marie Ganskow. She grew up in Neligh.
She married Jimmie L. Hauf on Nov. 21, 1951, in Neligh.
Survivors include three sons, Alan L. Hauf and Thomas L. Hauf, both of Mesquite, Texas, and Ronald E. Hauf of Grand Island; two daughters, Connie J. Burleigh and Janet D. Hauf, both of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Maxine (Mrs. Vic) Carlson.
She was preceded in death by one son, Danny Rae; one sister and four brothers.
Richard J. Krivohlavek
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. - Richard J. Krivohlavek, 57, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, in Mount Pleasant.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at J. Henry Stuhr Mount Pleasant Chapel in Mount Pleasant. Burial will be private.
Mr. Krivohlavek was born
in Schuyler, Neb., to James and Arlene (Kroger) Krivohlavek. He graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
He was a member of the Lutheran faith. He was a member and past president of the South Carolina Merchants Association and was owner/operator of Phillips Shoes.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; two sons, Curtis Krivohlavek of Conway, S.C., and Bobby Krivohlavek of Mount Pleasant; one daughter, Patty K. Britain of Columbia, S.C.; two stepchildren, Julie Quillen and Laura Quillen, both of Mount Pleasant; and three grandsons.
'Dale' Moore Clinton
"Dale" Moore, 77, of Grand Island, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Kleine Funeral Home. Mr. Moore's remains were cremated.
Lorraine Augustyn
ORD -- Lorraine M. Augustyn, 71, of Ord, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at the Valley County Hospital in Ord.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. The Rev. James Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Mervin Evans
LOUP CITY -- Mervin "Merv" Evans, 69, of Loup City, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, while traveling through Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City. The Rev. Reginald A. Urban will officiate. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery at Loup City.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City. Further visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. vigil service at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Robert Paxton
PALMER -- Robert James Paxton, 46, of Palmer, died July 27, 2000, in a car accident by Chapman.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Wesleyan Church in Palmer. The Rev. Dean Welch will officiate. Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Palmer with military rites.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Palmer Funeral Home in Palmer.
Mr. Paxton was born
on Dec. 7, 1953, at O'Neill to Norman H. and Joyce (Thornton) Paxton. He grew up in Chambers, Sedalia, Mo., and Omaha Home for Boys in Omaha.
He served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1973. After the service he returned to Palmer where he married Jean Ann Taylor of Palmer on June 23, 1973.
He worked as a truck driver and did mechanical work. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and building derby cars.
Survivors include his wife, Jean; four sons, Dale of Sierra Vista, Ariz., James of St. Paul and Jesse and Jeremy at home; one sister, Norma J. Smith of Grand Island; and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cecil and an infant brother; one son, Jeffrey Lee; and one daughter, Robbie Jean.
Evertt Woeppel
ERICSON -- Evertt Richard Woeppel, 87, of Ericson, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Ericson. The Rev. Jurdan Counts will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at Cedar Rapids.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Ericson.
Memorials are suggested to the church. Eberle-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Burwell is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy Stines
Dorothy K. Stines, 78, of Grand Island died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at BryanLGH Medical Center East in Lincoln.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Congregational Church. The Rev. Lonnie Logan will officiate. Cremation will follow the services, with burial at a later date.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday at Kleine Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the church.
Everne Darnall
Everne G. Darnall, 91, of Grand Island died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at St. Francis Memorial Health Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home. The Rev. Delvin Roper will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m., with the family receiving from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church or the family.
Mr. Darnall was born
on April 28, 1909, at Cordova to Fred and Clara (Herrold) Darnall. He grew up and was educated at Farnam and graduated from Farnam High School in 1927.
He married Bessie Klein on Sept. 16, 1931, at Norton, Kan. They lived in Farnam and Gothenburg, where he repaired wells and windmills. While in Gothenburg, he began working as an auto mechanic. They moved to Grand Island in 1942, and he worked at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant during World War II. He began working for Diers Motors in 1946 and retired in 1973 as an auto mechanic. After he retired, he continued to work as an auto mechanic on his own until he was 80 years old.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Phyllis Johnsrud of Norfolk and Juleen Olson of Omaha; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Oris and Wilber; and a sister, Zelma Floweday.
June Vestecka
LINCOLN -- June J. Vestecka, 62, of Lincoln, formerly of Grand Island, died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, after a 30-year battle with multiple sclerosis.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln. The Rev. Robert Tucker will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be until 11 a.m. Friday at Roper and Sons Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth's Hospice or the Cathedral Altar Society.
Mrs. Vestecka was born
on June 13, 1938, in Grand Island to Walter and Elsie (Krause) Renter.
A homemaker, Mrs. Vestecka was a bookkeeper for the family construction business.
She was a member of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ and the Altar Society, of which she was a past president. She assisted with the Cathedral School art classes and aided a refugee family from Vietnam.
Survivors include her husband, Wally; a son, Dan of Lincoln; three daughters, Sue (Mrs. Lee) Loudon of Lincoln, Barb (Mrs. Jude) Cook of Omaha and Ann Dozoretz of Denver; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Joy Eckles of Seward; two brothers, Dennis of Corona Del Mar, Calif., and Dehn of Grand Island; and special friends, Sandy Anderson and Heather Sorem, who were caregivers.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

CENTRAL CITY -- Mae L. Scranton, 93, of Central City, formerly of St. Paul, died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at the Integrated Health Services Nursing Home in Central City.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Mountain Standard Time Saturday, July 29, at the Potter Cemetery in Potter. The Rev. Mary Frohs will officiate.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
