Former Hastings resident Wayne E. Reiss, 54, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at his home from cancer.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Funeral Home in Colorado Springs. The remains will be cremated.
Mr. Reiss was born Sept. 29, 1944, to Reinhold and Veryl (Houdersheldt) Reiss in Hastings. He attended school in Hastings. In 1962 he graduated from Wasson High School in Colorado Springs. He worked for 37 years with Furrs, Millers and National grocery chains. He retired from King Soopers grocery store chain, where he worked as a meat department manager.
He was a member of the Izaak Walton League of America.
Survivors are four sons, Troy and Mark, both of California, Scott of Georgia and Matthew of Colorado Springs; his stepmother, Geraldine Reiss of Aurora, Colo.; one brother, DelRoy Reiss of Colorado Springs; two stepsisters, Beverly Dutcher of Nebraska and Doris Ortega of Pueblo, Colo.; and one stepbrother, Gary Valko of Aurora, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his father.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Pikes Peak Hospice, 3630 Sinton Rd., Suite 302, Colorado Springs CO 80907-5073.

Hastings resident Fred A. Ollendorf, 86, of Good Samaritan Village Perkins Pavilion, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, at his home.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hastings. Brand-Wilson Funeral Home of Hastings is in charge of arrangements.

Hastings resident Nathan Lee Lemke, 19, of 1737 W. Fourth St., died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church in Hastings with the Rev. Dean F. Clausing officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery. Visitation is until 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Butler-Volland Funeral Home in Hastings and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Lemke was born March 9, 1980, to Roger and Marcia (Elledge) Lemke in Hastings. In 1998 he graduated from Hastings Senior High School. He was working as an apprentice electrician for Krieger Electric in Hastings at the time of his death.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Boy Scouts and the American Legion baseball team.
Survivors are his parents; one brother, Heath of Hastings; two sisters, Michelle and Michaela, both of Hastings; and grandparents, Stan and Kay Elledge and Clara Lemke, all of Superior.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Lemke.
Memorials may be given to the family's choice.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Evangelical Free Church in Hastings with the Rev. Randy Madison officiating. Burial is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Moses Hill Cemetery in Loomis. Visitation is until 9 p.m. today at Brand-Wilson Funeral Home in Hastings.
Survivor is one sister, Louise Carlson of Hastings.

Ong resident Laurel Arnold Johnson, 85, died Saturday, July 10, 1999, in Geneva.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church in Ong with the Rev. Mark Richardson officiating. Burial is in Ong Cemetery. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva.
Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 27, 1914, to Willard and Betsey (Danielson) Johnson at Ong.
Survivors are his wife, Donna; one son, David of Omaha; one daughter, Lois Reinke of San Antonio; two brothers, Hubert of Las Vegas and Willis of Kansasville, Wis.; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Urbauer of Forrest Grove, Ore., and Dona Urbauer of Shickley.
Memorials may be given to the family.

Hastings resident Grace Arlene (Welch) Urbauer, 88, died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home in Edgar with the Rev. Rick Cepris officiating. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery in Edgar. Visitation is until 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home in Edgar and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Brand-Wilson Funeral Home in Hastings. Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home of Edgar is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Urbauer was born Aug. 13, 1910, to Andrew and Daisy (Dean) Welch in Deweese. She grew up in Davenport. In 1930 she graduated from Davenport High School. From 1930-32 she taught rural school. On June 10, 1932, she married Kenneth D. Urbauer in Lincoln. She and her husband lived in Davenport. They owned and operated funeral homes in St. Edward and Hastings. They lived in Omaha for a short time before moving to Edgar, where they ran Urbauer Funeral Home. In 1976 they sold the funeral home and retired. On Nov. 14, 1977, her husband died. She then moved to Hastings.
She was a member of the Methodist Church, did volunteer work for Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 39 and Chapter HT, P.E.O., both in Hastings.
Survivors are one son, Barton of Grand Island; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters.
Ruby K. Wilton

Superior resident Ruby Kathryn (Bargen) Wilton, 79, died Thursday, July 8, 1999, at her home.
Services were to be 11 a.m. today at the Salem Lutheran Church near Superior with the Rev. Michael Osberg officiating. Burial was to be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Superior. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wilton was born March 15, 1920, to Carl and Marie (Grummert) Bargen near Superior. She was a graduate of Superior High School in Superior and taught in several schools in Nuckolls County. On May 30, 1952, she married Clarence C. Wilton at Salem Lutheran Church in Superior. On March 12, 1981, her husband died.
Survivors are three sons, Ronald of Omaha, Dennis of Overland Park, Kan., and Daryl of York; one daughter, Janette Leece of Webber, Kan.; three brothers, Alvin Bargen of Hardy, and Orlin Bargen and Leland Bargen, both of Superior; and six grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one son and three brothers.
Memorials may be given in care of the family.
Minnie M. Grube

Franklin resident Minnie Margaret (Kuster) Grube, 91, died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at Franklin Nursing Center in Franklin.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Macon with the Revs. Baron and Nancy Cole officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Franklin. Visitation is until 9 p.m. today at Hutchins Funeral Home in Franklin and 9:30 a.m. until services Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Grube was born Nov. 10, 1907, to Thomas and Mary (Bruns) Kuster near Macon. She attended District 67 School. On Feb. 24, 1946, she married Otto Grube at Zion Lutheran Church in Macon. They farmed near Macon. In 1969 they moved to Franklin. On Jan. 28, 1996, her husband died.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and the church's quilting circle.
Survivors are one son, Jerry Marcum of Franklin; and two sisters, Rosina Grube and Lydia Fegter, both of Franklin.
She also was preceded in death by four sisters.
Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church.
Carl E. McCollough

Minden resident Carl E. McCollough, 90, died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Minden with the Rev. Dr. Terry Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the Minden Cemetery in Minden. Visitation is 3-5 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at Layton Funeral Home in Minden.
Mr. McCollough was born May 13, 1909, to Dwight and Eliza Rebecca (Town) McCollough in Marshall County, Ind. He grew up in Argos, Ind. In 1929 he graduated from Argos High School in Argos. On July 31, 1936, he married Irene Stadler in Minden. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed at Camp Roberts in California. He returned to Minden and worked for Kansas Nebraska Gas for 28 years. In 1974 he retired. His wife died Feb. 25.
He was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Minden.
Survivors are one son, Pat of Norfolk; and one grandchild.
He also was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Frances L. Callahan

Former Superior resident Frances L. (Schleiger) Callahan, 87, of Washington, D.C., died Sunday, June 20, 1999, at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Springs, Md.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery in Superior with the Rev. Mark Diehl officiating. Williams Funeral Home of Superior is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Callahan was born Jan. 20, 1912, to Fredrick and Katherine (Schidemann) Schleiger in Superior. In 1929 she graduated from Superior High School in Superior. On Aug. 4, 1938, she married Ira George Callahan. They lived in West Virginia for a short time. In 1941 they moved to Washington, D.C. She worked for the government for many years. She was last employed with Housing and Urban Development. On July 28, 1989, her husband died.
She was a member of the Wheaton Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are three sisters, Thressa Freiberg of Tacoma, Wash., Helen George of San Francisco and George-Jean Ruelin of Hudson, Wis.
She also was preceded in death by one sister.
Eulalie Wiegers

Former Alexandria resident Eulalie (Overman) Wiegers, 97, of Pharr, Texas, died Thursday, July 8, 1999, in McAllen, Texas.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church in Alexandria with the Rev. Sylvia Cross officiating. Burial is 1 p.m. Tuesday at Plainview Cemetery in Western. Visitation is until 9 p.m. today at Price Funeral Home in Hebron and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Wiegers was born Dec. 14, 1901, to Herschell and Minnie (Ewaldt) Overman in Western. On Aug. 17, 1927, she married Claude Wiegers in Western.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters; Judith Greene of Hampton, Va., and Linda Lewis of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Beulare Wiegers; two brothers; and three sisters.
Memorials have been established.
