Born, Chicago (2/16/22) to Karl Erland Byleen, who was born in Torsang, Sweden, and Helga Maria Charlotta Sandstedt, who was born in Tranas, Sweden. Retired Baptist pastor. World War II Army veteran. Graduate, University of Minnesota. Bethel Theological Seminary, St. Paul, Minn. American Baptist Seminary of the West, Berkeley, Calif. Pastored churches in Minnesota, California, New Jersey. Churches in Nebraska included Stromsburg Baptist, Second Baptist in Lincoln, First Baptist in North Platte. In his retirement, wrote a Swedish column with English translation in the Stromsburg newspaper weekly, 10 years.
