Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Marshall Funeral Chapel, Nebraska City. Private family burial at later date. Visitation: 1-9 p.m. today; 9 a.m. until services Thursday, funeral home. Eastern Star services (open to public) at 7 p.m. today, with family greeting friends after the service until 8 p.m. Memorial fund: Tabitha Foundation.

Morgan -- Helen Gates, 91, David City, died Tuesday (10/8/2002). Born, David City. Graduated, University of Nebraska, Alpha Phi sorority. Taught elementary school, later worked for gas company.
Survivors: son, daughter-in-law, Thomas G. Morgan and Concepcion Diaz Morgan, Minneapolis; daughter, son-in-law, Mary L. Sneller and Todd C. Sneezer, Lincoln; four grandchildren; brothers, Gid W. Gates, Greeley, Colo., Jack Gates, Covina, Calif. Preceded in death by parents; husbands, Dr. James Dosek (1941) and Merle Morgan (1985); parents; aunt and life-long companion, Lucile Gates.
Funeral Mass: 2 p.m. Friday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, David City. Parish cemetery. Visitation: noon Thursday until services, Knott Funeral Home, David City. Wake service at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, followed by PCCW rosary, funeral home. Memorials to David City Area Foundation.
