Helped on the family farm. married Edward E. Zadina on Feb. 10, 1936, in Ord. They farmed west of Ord and in 1955 moved to Wilber, where they owned and operated Ed'sBar. She retired and continued to live in Wilber the remainder of her life. Member, St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wilber.

Member, Lincoln Berean Church. Founded Lincoln Berean Church in 1962 and retired in 1994 after pastoring for 53 years. He was instrumental in planting or pastoring 15 churches in several states. He served as a board member of Back to the Bible Broadcast, Grace Mission, Eastmont Towers Community and Maranatha Bible Camp. Served as president, Berean Fellowship Council, 1986-1993, and served many years as district leader of the East District of the Berean Fellowship.
