Beins -- Lily E., 89, Aurora, died Saturday (5/3/2003) in Grand Island. Born, Hampton (6/19/13) to Nels P. Bernhard and Lydia (Christensen) Eskildsen. Grew up north of Hampton, attended Hampton Schools. Member, Zion Lutheran Church, which one grandfather, Lars Eskildsen, helped build, and her other grandfather, G.B. Christensen, led as pastor. After graduating high school, she lived and worked in Omaha. married W. Don Beins (3/2/34) in Hampton. They had two sons. Farmed the home place northwest of Aurora and moved into town in 1960. After Don's death in 1971, Lily moved to Lincoln, where she lived until April 2001. Then she returned to Aurora, residing at East Park Villa.
Member, First Christian Church, organist, choir director. Taught piano lessons for many years. Fifty-year member, PEO and past president, Aurora Chapter. Loved music and playing bridge. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
