Daniel J. Trickler, 50
HEMINGFORD - Daniel James Trickler, 50, departed to live in the kingdom of heaven on June 6, 2006, a Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Dan was born July 27, 1955, at Sidney.

He lived most of his younger life at Sacramento, Calif., where he graduated form Hiram W. Johnson High School.

While in California, Dan was an avid scuba diver, and worked for 10 years at Cal Tran Railroad, building passenger train cars.

In 1990, Dan returned to Hemingford and established his career as a machinist for BNSF Railroad for the past 12 years. He lived a very active life around his career at BNSF with many hobbies.

Dan was tremendously enthusiastic about these hobbies including building and flying beautiful radio controlled aircraft, snow skiing with his family and vinyl graphics.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at the United Methodist Church at Hemingford, with Pastor Jeri Soens officiating.

Burial will be in the Hemingford Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Hemingford Volunteer Firefighters Association or to Hemingford Community Care Center.

Dennis Eversull, 54
ALLIANCE - Dennis R. Eversull, 54, died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at the Morrill County Hospital at Bridgeport.

He was born July 15, 1951, at Alliance, to Ward and Viola (Watson) Eversull.

He attended Alliance High School and then joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Lompoc Air Force Base in California with the Strategic Air Command. He was honorably discharged.

He became a Journeyman Electrician, completing his apprenticeship at White Electric at Chariton, Iowa. He was a licensed Journeyman Electrician with IBEW Local 944 at San Bernadino, Calif., and most recently worked as an Electrician First Class with the Maintenance Department at Parker Hannifin at Alliance.

He was a licensed Journeyman Electrician in the state of Nebraska as well.

He married Terri Rogers of Burbank, Calif., and to this union two sons were born, Greg and Keith Eversull. He also had been married to Jan Bacon of California and Sandy Siedler of Alliance.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, at the Bates-Gould Chapel, with Rev. Jim West officiating.

Burial with military rites will be in the Hemingford Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association at, 1550 South 70th Street, Suite 100, Lincoln, NE 68506.

William Hofmann, 59
LAS VEGAS, Nev. - William ( Bill ) Joseph Hofmann, 59, died Friday, June 2, 2006, at Summerlin Medical Hospital in Las Vegas after a yearlong battle against cancer.

He was born Sept. 7, 1946, in Alliance to Clifford and Faye (Gebhart) Hofmann.

Bill graduated Alliance High School in 1964. He attended Chadron State College for one year and entered the Army.

He married Ellen Manewal on Nov. 27, 1970, in California. To this union came one son, John William.

Bill was an electrician who worked for his father and then later contracted with his brother Monte.

Bill & Ellen moved to Las Vegas in 1986 where he was an electrician.

At the time of his death, he was employed by The Mirage Hotel & Casino.

His interests included the PT Cruiser Club, Square Dancing, Nebraska & Denver Bronco football, going on cruises with his wife and son, and frequenting "Soarin Over California" at the Disneyland Resort.

Ray Andersen, 93
NORTHPORT - Ray Ola Andersen, 93, died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Morrill County Community Hospital at Bridgeport.

Ray was born May 23, 1913, at Winside, to William and Anna (Brogren) Andersen.

He graduated from Winside High School in 1931. He served as a heavy equipment mechanic in the U.S. Army from March 1942 to January 1946.

He married Aileen Alice Brehding on Sept. 21, 1947, at Trinity Lutheran Church at Winside. He worked as a mechanic all his life, and with the help of his wife and daughters, built the family home at Northport.

He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church at Broadwater, The American Legion Post 29, and V.F.W. Post 7786.

Visitation hours are Monday, June 5 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, June 6 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Jollilffe Funeral Home at Bridgeport. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at Messiah Lutheran Church at Broadwater, with Ann Bairn, P.M.A., officiating.

Burial with military honors will be in the Oregon Trail Cemetery at Bridgeport. Memorials have been established to Messiah Lutheran Church, The American Legion Post 29, Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department or Rescue Unit, Morrill County Hospital Foundation or Prairie Haven Hospice.

Jolliffe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Fred Knaub, 80
ALLIANCE - Fred "Fritz" Knaub, 80, died Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at Good Samaritan Health Care Center.

He was born May 26, 1926, at Minatare, to Mike and Lydia (Reitz) Knaub.

During his childhood his family lived at Minatare and then he lived at Alliance.

On April 16, 1959, he married Carmen Lliteras at Cheyenne, Wyo. He served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 1945 until Dec. 1946.

He then worked for Burlington Northern Railroad, Koester Farms, Dobson Dodge for 22 years and at Dayco for 10 years prior to retiring in 1989. Following his retirement they moved to Hemingford.

He was a member of the American Legion Post. No. 9, V.F.W. Post No. 1517, Fraternal Order Eagles and the A.A.R.P.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 5, at the Bates-Gould Chapel, with Norma Jensen officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent in care of the family at P.O. Box 427, Hemingford, NE 69348-0427.

Tidus Johnston, Infant
OMAHA - Tidus Dean Johnston passed away Saturday, July 22, 2006.

He was born Monday, July 10, 2006, to Dr. Casey and April Johnston.

Memorials may be given in memory of Tidus Dean Johnston to Children's Hospital Foundation, 8401 West Dodge Rd., Ste. 160, Omaha, NE 68114; or Children's Hospital, 8200 Dodge St., Omaha, NE 68114.

Johnny Sanderson, 66
LITTLETON, Colo. - Johnny W. Sanderson, 66, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, at a Pueblo, Colo., medical center.

He was born Nov. 2, 1939, at Alliance, to John and Valda (Zutavern) Sanderson.

He grew up in various communities in Western Nebraska, and graduated from Alliance High School in 1958.

Johnny married Jean Hanson on June 7, 1959, at Wallace. They lived the majority of their married life at Littleton, where he served as a manager for Honeywell.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at the Wallace United Methodist Church, with Pastor Anne Gatobu officiating.

Burial will be in the Wallace Cemetery.

Beverly J. Watson, 77
CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Beverly J. Watson, 77, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, at the United Medical Center West.

She was born March 19, 1929, at Alliance, to Joe and Reba Falfar.

She was married to Tom Watson on June 17, 1948, at Alliance. She grew up at Alliance, and moved to Scottsbluff in 1954, and to Cheyenne in 1964.

Beverly was a member of X-JWC and Newcomers.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Her memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, at Schrader Chapel, 2323 Carey, Ave., Cheyenne, with Fr. Tim Solon officiating. Cremation will be at Schrader's Sunset Park Crematory.

Memorials may be sent to Meals-on-Wheels, 2015 S. Greeley Hwy., Cheyenne, WY 82007, or a charity of the donor's choice.

Schrader Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
