Robert W. Livingston, HOOKSETT

Tuesday, April 20, 1999

HOOKSETT - Robert W. Livingston died Saturday at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester after a short illness.

He was born in Haverhill, Mass., the son of William and Helen (Shanosky) Livingston of Exeter.

He was a partner of Anderson Livingston Engineers of York, Maine.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Marie (Reynolds) Livingston of Hooksett; two sons, Robert Livingston of Epsom and Michael Livingston of Wells, Maine; a grandson; and a sister, Joanne Kenyon of Waterboro, Maine.

There are no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Hooksett. The Rev. Fernand Croteau, pastor, will be the celebrant.

The Petit Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.

Doris B. Brown

Tuesday, April 20, 1999

Doris B. Brown, formerly of Loudon Road, died yesterday at the Pleasant View Elder Care facility after a long illness.

She was born in Milton, Vt., the daughter of Benjamin and Eugenia (Danforth) Blaisdell, but had lived in the Concord area all her life.

She worked at S.S. Kresgee's for 18 years, and at King's Department Store for eight years, retiring in 1974.

She was predeceased by her husband, Garold Brown.

She was the loving mother of Marjorie Floyd of Concord and Carolyn Horn of Pembroke.

She also is survived by five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours, and private burial will be in Contoocook Village Cemetery.

Georgia P. Snider

Tuesday, April 20, 1999

Georgia P. Snider, 91, of Christian Avenue, died Sunday at Havenwood-Heritage Heights Healthcare.

She was born in Chesapeake, Ohio, the daughter of Bart and Lennie (Gruber) Hicks. She moved to Concord in 1988.

She worked as a clerk for the Ford auto dealership in her hometown, and was a member of the Chesapeake (Ohio) Christian Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dabney Snider; two brothers, Curt Hicks and Everett Hicks; and three sisters, Estol Bysher, Helen Hughes and Ruth Mann.

She is survived by a son, Paul Snider of Plymouth.

Memorial services and burial will be held in Ohio at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Havenwood-Heritage Heights Endowment Fund, 33 Christian Ave., Concord 03301.

The Bennett Funeral Home in Concord is in charge of arrangements.

Conrad Nolfo

Monday, April 19, 1999

PITTSFIELD - Conrad Nolfo, 83, of Webster Mills Road, died Friday at Concord Hospital of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Boston, he was the son of Guiseppe and Franchescia (Carusso) Nolfo. He lived in Medford, Mass., for many years before moving to Pittsfield in 1965.

He worked as a salesman for the Maytag-McGray Co. in Boston and set up and sold coin-operated laundromats throughout the area.

He was the widower of Martha (Ineson) Nolfo. He was also predeceased by a brother, Peter Mungano.

He is survived by a son, Joseph of Houma, La.; three daughters, Frances Dellovu of Burlington, Mass., Elaine Lienhart of Chichester and Judith Martinez of Dallas; his companion, Madelyn Crosbie of Pittsfield; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today in the Perkins Funeral Home, 60 Main St., Pittsfield. The Rev. John Loker, pastor of the Chichester Methodist Church, will officate.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Chichester Resque Squad.

Margaret G. Duggan

CONCORD - Margaret (Peg) Gibbons Duggan, 85, died Saturday at the Pleasant View Retirement Home, following a long illness.

She was born in Berlin, the daughter of Edward and Frances Gibbons. She was a graduate of Keene State College and Columbia University, where she received her master's degree in education.

She was the wife of the late James Duggan. For almost 30 years, they lived in Mamaroneck, N. Y. She taught home economics and child psychology at Davis Junior High School in Mount Vernon and later in the Greenburgh school system. She was active in civil rights causes, education reform, child development and anti-war activities. She was known for her early work with poor, at-risk teenage girls.

She and her husband moved to Athens, Greece, where they taught in the American Community School. They spent summers in Ireland, and were members of the Killarney Country Club.

In 1980, they returned from Greece and settled in Pennington, New Jersey. She helped care for her grandchildren and volunteered with several organizations through the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, including the local schools, the New Jersey State Library for the Blind, Trenton High School and the Pennington Public Library.

Two years ago, she moved to Concord to be closer to her son and youngest grandchild. She was outspoken on issues of education and human rights.

She is survived by a son, James Duggan of Amherst; a daughter, Jane Kerney-Ogle of Los Gatos, Calif; and seven grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be held on Wednesday at the Waters Funeral Home in Concord.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pennington Library.

John J. Grundy

EPSOM - John J. Grundy, 82, of Millhouse Road, died Thursday at his home after a brief illness.

He was born in Boston, the son of John and Mary (Sullivan) Grundy. He lived for many years in Coventry, R.I.

He retired after 30 years as an aerospace engineer for the U.S. Navy in the AWS branch, Quonsett Point, R.I. He had spent a few years with the Navy Reserves.

He was a member of the Corinthian Lodge No. 82 F&AM of Pittsfield. He also was a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Concord, the Bektash Temple, and the IOOF.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Grundy of Epsom; two daughters, Eleanor Pokraka of North Kingstown, R.I., and Grace Marianne Doyle of Springfield, Va.; three sons, John Grundy of Wiscasset, Maine, Henry Grundy of Arlington, Wash., and James Grundy of West Greenwich, R.I.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Bianchetti of Plymouth, Mass., and Margaret Ruggieri of Quincy, Mass.; a brother, James Grundy of Braintree, Mass.; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Peggy (Quinn) Grundy, and a brother, Francis Grundy.

A memorial service will be held at the Corinthian Lodge, 5 Park St., Pittsfield, Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Rev. Artur Foye will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donatiosn may be made to the Corinthian Lodge Building Fund, c/o Ralph Cutting, Pittsfield 03263.

William J. Mahon

William J. Mahon, 69, of Pillsbury Street, died yesterday at Concord Hospital after a sudden illness.

He was born in Concord the son of Patrick and Catherine (Lyons) Mahon. He graduated from St. John's High School, Class of 1949, and lived in Concord all his life.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was employed as a claims manager at Merchants Insurance Company in Bedford for 30 years. He was a member of the Concord Senior Dancers, the Knights of Columbus Council No. 112 and the Monsignor Buckley Assembly of 4th Degree Knights.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Elizabeth (Gannon) Mahon; three daughters, Sheila Mahon of Keene, Nancy DeCoster of Underhill, Vt., and Patricia Mahon of Penacook; a grandson; a sister, Mary LaPointe of Claremont; two brothers, Edward and Bernard Mahon, both of Concord; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, John Mahon and Richard Mahon.

isiting hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 72 S. Main St., Concord. Burial will follow in the Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 N. State St., Concord.

Donations may be made to St. John Regional School, 61 S. State St., Concord, or to Bishop Brady High School, Columbus Avenue, Concord.

Cecile A. Hull

FRANKLIN - Cecile A. Hull, 79, of East Bow Street, died at Franklin Regional Hospital on Friday.

She was born in Franklin, the daughter of Adelard and Helen (Dussault) Mercier. She lived in Franklin for many years and resided in Little River, Fla., for a few years.

While in Florida, she was employed as a hairdresser. She worked at the former Jack's Restaurant in Franklin for several years.

She was the widow of Ralph Hull.

She is survived by three daughters, Cecilia Sanford of Franklin, Betsy Norman of Guilford, Conn., and Barbara Miner of Penacook; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rita Durgin of Franklin and Regina Joyal of Laconia; two brothers, Raymond Mercier of Westlawn, Pa., and Richard Mercier of Franklin; and nieces and nephews.

There are no visiting hours. A private graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery Wednesday morning.

Donations may be made to the Franklin Visiting Nurse Association, 75 Chestnut St., Franklin.

Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin, is in charge of arrangements.

Walter E. Woodward

FRANKLIN - Walter E. Woodward, 88, of Kidder Avenue, Franklin, died at Franklin Regional Hospital Saturday.

He was born in Andover, the son of Charles and Marion (Glines) Woodward. He was raised and educated in Andover. He was a member of the Civil Conservation Corps. He later lived in York Village, Maine, before moving to Franklin, where he lived for the past 52 years. He was employed by the Boston and Maine Railroad and was a roofing contractor in Maine. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local Union No. 1996. He was a superintendant for Hidges Construction.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rose (Trottier) Woodward of Merrimack County Nursing Home; a son, Brent Woodward of Franklin; two stepsons, Roland Miller of Bouse, Ariz., and Richard Miller of Polk City, Fla.; a brother, Forrest Woodward of Tamworth; and a sister, Myrtle DeLude of Wonalancet; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Donald Woodward; and two sisters, Dorothy Copp and Grace Day.

Visiting hours will be tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesdat at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Church. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.

Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Robert B. Campbell

Sunday, April 18, 1999

Robert B. Campbell, 38, of Robbinsville, N.J., and a relative of area residents, died from injuries suffered in a car accident on Thursday.

He was a graduate of Princeton (N.J.) High School, and Penn State.

He was the owner of R.B. Campbell Associates, in Hamilton Square, N.J., and was previously employed by Air Frieght Companies of Newark, N.J.

He was a founding member of the Olde Yorke Country Club in Bordentown, N.J.

He was an avid sportsman, playing varsity lacrosse at Princeton High and Penn State. He also played varsity football at Princeton High.

He is survived by his parents, D. Bruce and Margaret Campbell of Princeton; his wife, Christi Campbell; two brothers, Ronald Campbell of Bow, and Bruce Campbell of Stoughton, Mass.; nephews and nieces; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held tomorrow from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, Nassau Street, Princeton. Burial will be in Princeton Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Princeton High School Athletic Department scholarship fund in memory of Robert B. Campbell, 25 Valley Road, Princeton 08540.
