Henry L. Paquette

Henry L. Paquette, 87, a resident of Hudson, New Hampshire, formerly of Greater Lowell, died Wednesday, January 25 at the Community Hospice House, in Merrimack, New Hampshire. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Patenaude) Paquette, who died in 1968, and Eleanor (Burndrett) Paquette, who died in 2004.

He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, on April 5, 1918, a son of the late Napolean “Paul” Paquette and Celida (Pellerin) Paquette, and was educated in the Lowell public school system.

For over 20 years, Mr. Paquette worked as a milkman, for the H.P. Hood Company. He then worked as a guard for the Brink's Armored Car Company for 15 years. Following his retirement, his love and skill at woodworking led him to work for Country Kitchen Cabinets, in North Conway, New Hampshire. He was an avid golfer and a member of the North Conway Country Club and former member at Vesper Country Club.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Diane M. and Richard DeRosa, of Lowell; a son and daughter-in-law: Paul H. and Leslie Paquette of Atkinson, New Hampshire; his stepchildren, Jack Kobelenz and his companion Betty Belcastro of Littleton, Massachusetts; Debora Kobelenz and her companion Rick Siverhus of Hudson, Mary Ellen and Edward Greaves, of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and David and Lisa Kobelenz of Weare; his grandchildren, Mark Paquette and his wife Heather Rowe of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, Kathleen and Paul DeVito of Hudson, Stephen and Kerri DeRosa of Lowell; Christine and James Lowell of Nashua, and Beth and Timothy Martin of Lowell; his step-grandchildren, Karen Grantham of Merrimack, James Kobelenz of Milford, Anthony Kobelenz of Hastings, Nebraska, Molly Kobelenz of Winchester, Massachusetts, Emily Kobelenz of Youngstown, Ohio, Jason Kobelenz of Weare, Chelsea Greaves of Chelmsford, and Rachel Kobelenz of Hudson; a brother-in-law, James O. Robinson of Chelmsford; and also many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Noella Trombly, Victor Paquette, and stepfather of the late Terry Kobelenz.

The Mahoney Funeral Home in Lowell was in charge of funeral arrangements. His funeral mass was held at the Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell on Saturday, January 28. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society; 30 Speen Street; Framingham, MA 01701-9376; or to Community Hospice House; 210 Naticook Road; Merrimack, NH 03054.

Susan M. (Eschleman) Curtis
Susan M. (Eschleman) Curtis, 63, of Litchfield, New Hampshire, died Friday, January 20 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.

Susan was born July 29, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of Arthur and Caryl (Hoffman) Eschleman of Litchfield.

Mrs. Curtis was the wife of Jack Curtis of Litchfield and had shared 26 loving years of marriage together.

Susan received her master’s degree in nursing from St. Joseph College in Maine and also earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Florida. Mrs. Curtis was a nursing instructor at the St. Joseph School of Practical Nursing.

Susan was a Eucharistic Minister and taught CCD classes at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Hudson. Mrs. Curtis was passionate about the fight for breast cancer. In 2005, she was the recipient of the New Hampshire Representative Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation Award. She also had several articles published in leading medical magazines articulating about those dealing with breast cancer and their survival.

Mrs. Curtis loved horses and at one time was a horse trainer for 15 years in Florida. Susan was never more devoted to one cause than that of her family. She supported her children with all that she had and took great interest in every activity they participated in.

Besides her husband, survivors include her parents, Arthur and Caryl Eschleman of Litchfield, three daughters and one son-in-law, Melynda and Joseph O’Neill of Topsfield, Massachusetts; Patricia (P.J.) Curtis of Litchfield, Christine Curtis of Litchfield; one brother, Dr. Robert Eschleman of Woodstock, Georgia, two very dear grandchildren, Conor and Audrey O’Neill, both of Topsfield, Massachusetts; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral mass was celebrated on Tuesday, January 24 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson. Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery in Hudson. The family requests that in Susan's loving memory, donations be sent to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, PO Box 65039. Dallas, TX 75265. The Dumont - Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson was in charge of arrangements.

Richard “Dick” Quinn

Richard “Dick” Quinn, 56, of Litchfield died peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 19.

Dick was born November 7, 1949, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, son of the late Leo Quinn and Therese (Gosselin) Quinn, of Salem, New Hampshire.

Mr. Quinn was the husband of Carol (Phillips) Quinn of Litchfield.

Mr. Quinn throughout his life held many positions. He was a member of the Planning Board and a Chairman in Litchfield. He was also a member of the Litchfield Fire Department, the Nashua Area Radio Club, a private pilot, and an entrepreneur with his business Quinn Associates.

Beyond all of his activities, Dick especially loved spending time with his family, traveling, and running his business with his wife. Dick also enjoyed ham radio, hiking, camping, his motorcycle, woodworking and spending time with all of his associates and friends.

Besides his loving wife, Carol, survivors include one son, Benjamin Quinn of Litchfield; one daughter, Allison Quinn of Rockport, Massachusetts; his mother, Therese (Gosselin) Quinn of Salem; 10 siblings; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

A remembrance service was held on January 21at the Dumont - Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson.

The family requests donations in Dick's memory be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756.

Priscilla C. Bouley

Priscilla Cecelia Bouley, 87, of Hudson died Saturday, January 14 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry.

She was born December 8, 1918, in Nashua, daughter of the late Albert and Maria (Mackowska) Kopiczko.

Mrs. Bouley was predeceased by her husband Raymond R. Bouley. She was also predeceased by a son, John Bouley; two brothers, Stephen Kapisky and John Kapisky; and a sister, Ann Christopher.

Mrs. Bouley loved to crochet and to work with her hands. She enjoyed playing bingo and playing cards. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook who made delicious pies.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law Glenn and Peggy Bouley of Derry, Stephen and Rebecca Bouley of Hillsboro, Richard and Nancy Bouley of Hudson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Raymond Menard of Derry, Shirley and Larry Carlson of Middleburg, Florida; 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson was in charge of arrangements.

Lolita Joan Coombes
Lolita J. Coombes, 69, of Windhaven Drive, Hudson, died Thursday, January 12 at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

Mrs. Coombes was born in Belmont, Massachusetts, on May 14, 1936, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elena (Candelmo) Amodeo. She was the wife of Edward J. Coombes of Hudson.

Mrs. Coombes was a longtime resident of Hudson. For 24 years she had been employed by the Hills Memorial Library in Hudson. She was a devoted grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Coombes was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. She was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters: Anthony, Albert, Generoso, Carmella, Americo, Esther, Ann, Geraldine Ingegneri, Mary Palladinto, Linda, and Mario.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Coombes is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Todd Lyon of Hudson; one son and daughter-in-law Brian and Michelle Coombes of Pittsfield; two grandchildren Evan Morse and Anna Lyon; one sister, Sylvia Grinnell of North Chelmsford, Massachusetts; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Anctil - Rochette and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Annette L. DeNitto

Annette L. DeNitto, R.N., 70, of Hudson, New Hampshire, and formerly of Trumbull, Connecticut, devoted wife of Julius DeNitto, died peacefully surrounded by family at St. Vincent Medical Center on Monday, December 26 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Calabrese Cianciola.

Annette was a wonderful wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a great friend to many. She enjoyed entertaining and reading. She attended St. Patrick’s School, was a graduate of Lauralton Hall and St. Vincent’s School of Nursing. Mrs. DeNitto served as the junior vice chairman of the Woman’s Auxiliary of VFW Post 10059, Trumbull. In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her daughter Julie St. Louis, a son, Julius DeNitto, grandchildren, Megan, Jason and Kayla St. Louis all of Hudson; sisters Letitia Francouer, and friend Jack Merz of Bridgeport, Connecticut; Joela Keane and her husband Robert of Tolland, Connecticut, a brother Joseph Cianciola of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services took place on Friday, December 30 at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home in Trumbull, Connecticut and at St. Catherine of Siena Church, in Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial.

Francis W. Dinan
Francis William Dinan, 92, of Laurel Place in Hudson, died Wednesday afternoon, January 11 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua after a brief illness.

Mr. Dinan was born in Wakefield, Massachusetts, on October 31, 1913, son of the late D. Thomas and Elizabeth G. (Connelly) Dinan. He resided in Wakefield during his youth then in Falls Church, Virginia for 25 years, and later in Sandwich, Massachusetts, for 24 years before moving to New Hampshire in 2000.

He was the husband of Janet (Payson) Dinan, whom he married on February 9, 1946. The couple would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary next month.

Mr. Dinan had been employed with the federal government as a computer analyst at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. for 25 years. A Navy veteran of more than 20 years, Mr. Dinan served as a Commander on destroyers in the Atlantic during World War II, and during the Korean War he was stationed in Key West, Florida.

Educated in Massachusetts, he graduated from Wakefield High School in 1931 and from Boston College in 1935 with a bachelor’s degree in English. He later earned a master’s degree from Boston University and a master’s degree in education from Harvard University. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dinan taught at Saint Anselm College in Manchester and coached football and hockey there. He also coached the Wakefield hockey team for a time and was an avid golfer.

While residing in Sandwich, he was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church.

Mr. Dinan was predeceased by three brothers, Thomas E. Dinan, M. D., Charles W. Dinan, and Edward J. Dinan and two sisters, Helen F. Fitzpatrick and Dorothy Carr.

Besides his wife of 59 years, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert P and Lynn K. Dinan of Nashua, and Warren W. Dinan of Somerset, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Janet F. Darracott of Bourne, Massachusetts; five grandchildren, Kristen L. Wilson, Janice A. Page, Russell Darracott, Matthew Dinan, and Melanie Horner; seven great-grandchildren, Joey and Cassie Page, Brett, Tyler, and Derek Wilson, Kameron and Karlie Horner; a brother, George B. Dinan, D.M.D of Peabody, Massachusetts; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Farwell Funeral Service of Nashua was in charge of arrangements.

Arthur George Graves, III

Mr. Arthur George Graves, 67 of Litchfield, formerly of Westford, Massachusetts, died Sunday, January 15 at home. He was married to Janice A. (Malpass) Graves of Fitchburg, Massachusetts.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on January 10, 1939, the son of the late Arthur G. Graves, Jr. and Alice D. (Kiernan) Graves. He was a graduate of Oxford High School with the class of 1957. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Massachusetts in 1962, and a master’s in computer science from the University of Lowell. He was a member of the Phi Mu Delta Fraternity.

Mr. Graves was employed over the years as a software engineer in the computer industry. He worked at Kollmorgen in Northampton, Massachusetts; Itek in Lexington, Massachusetts; Raytheon in Bedford, Massachusetts; MITRE in Burlington, Massachusetts; Sanders Associates in Nashua, New Hampshire; MIT Lincoln Laboratories in Lexington, Massachusetts; and Paymentech in Salem, New Hampshire. He retired in November of 2004.

He was a member of Nabnasset Lake Country Club in Westford, Massachusetts. Mr. Graves was an avid golfer. He loved travel, photography, computers, and reading. He enjoyed sports, including the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and University of Massachusetts basketball and football.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sondra L. Graves-Sokolowski of Springfield, Massachusetts, and Susan and her husband, Douglas Worobey of Peoria, Arizona. He leaves two brothers and their wives, Richard and Martha Graves of Concord, New Hampshire, Paul and Carol Graves of Oxford, Massachusetts, and a sister and her husband, Marcia and Steven Grady of Vernon, Connecticut. He is survived by his mother-in-law, Catherine F. Malpass of Auburn, Massachusetts. He also leaves five grandchildren: Geoffrey M. Sokolowski and Jonathan H. Sokolowski, Joshua R. Worobey, Madison S. Worobey, and Darrah M. Worobey, as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Souhegan Home Care & Hospice, 4 Bud Way, Suite 2, Nashua, NH 03063.

Gerald D. “Jake” Kilbride
Gerald D. “Jake” Kilbride, 73, a resident of Pelham, died unexpectedly Monday, January 9 at his home.

Born in Lowell on March 25, 1932, he was a son of the late William F. and Mary A. (O’Neil) Kilbride.

A former Lowell resident, he was a communicant of St. Michael Church.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Kilbride was employed by the City of Lowell with the Traffic Division.

Mr. Kilbride served with the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He was a charter member and past president of the East End Club and also belonged to the United Commercial Travelers.

He is survived by a brother Walker Kilbride of Pelham, two sisters, Kathleen Kane of Lowell and Anne Henderson of Nashua; also several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. He was the longtime companion of the Late Yoshie Kakris.
