Anne M. (McGuire) Schubert

Mrs. Anne M. (McGuire) Schubert of Hudson died Monday January 16 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Nashua. She was married to the late Dr. Herbert E. Schubert who passed away on June 17, 1971.

Born in New York, New York, on July 14, 1922, the daughter of the late Mr. Thomas McGuire and Mary Jane (Gavin) McGuire. She was a graduate of St. Brendan's High School of the Bronx, New York.

A resident of Hudson for the past 12 years, she previously lived in Hampden, Massachuesetts, and West Harwich, Massachusetts. She was employed with Young and Rubican Advertising Company of Manhattan, New York. She was also co-owner of Bookkeeping Services and Workshop of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

She was a communicant of St. Kathryn Church of Hudson.

She is survived by five sons, Herbert E. Schubert, Jr. and his wife Linda of Ponte Verde, Florida; Attorney William J. Schubert of Manchester, New Hampshire; John T. and his wife Mary Jo (Nader) Schubert of Longmeadow, Massachusetts; Thomas E. Schubert of London, England, Dr. Paul J. Schubert and his wife Cindy Matheison of Cohasset, Massachusetts; four daughters, Patricia A. Schubert of Hudson; Ellen M. and her husband S. Raymond Mitchell of Alexandria, Virginia; Anne and her husband Billy Edwards of Orange Park, Florida; and Marguerite Stewart of Prospect Park, Pennsylvania; three brothers, John McGuire of Bronx, New York, Thomas and his wife Kathleen McGuire of Ellenton, Florida, and Vincent and his wife Ann McGuire of Ellenton, Florida and West Des Moines, Iowa; one sister Therese and her husband Donald Grohs of Oakland, New Jersey, as well as ten grandchildren and one great grandson.

She was the sister of the late Edward McGuire and the late Michael McGuire, both of New York, New York, and the late Sister M. Dolores of the Holy Angels, O.P. of North Guilford, Connecticut.

For those that wish, memorials may be made in her name to St. Kathryn Church, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson, NH 03051. Dolan Funeral Home of North Chelmsford, Massachusetts, was in charge of arrangements.

Raymond Leveille
Ernest R. Leveille, 84, of Tamarack Street, Hudson, died Sunday, January 8 at the Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare Center.

Mr. Leveille was born in Nashua on April 28, 1921, a son of the late Alphonse and Josephine (Miller) Leveille. He was the husband of Florence M. (Gamache) Leveille of Hudson.

Mr. Leveille, a longtime resident of Hudson, was educated in Nashua schools. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Leveille had been employed by Doehla Greeting Cards for over 20 years and then retired from Nashua Corporation in 1983. He was a World War II Army veteran serving with Battery A 210th Antiaircraft Artillery. He served in the southwest Pacific until his discharge in 1945. Mr. Leveille was a life and gold card member a of the American Legion Hudson Post #48; a life and charter member of the Hudson V.F.W. Post #5791; a third degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council #5162; and a member of the Hudson Historical Society. He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church where he served as an usher for more than 30 years.

He was predeceased by five brothers, Alphonse, Alfred, George, Henry and Arthur; and five sisters, Eva Lafayette, Melvina Ferris, Ida Belanger, Marian Plourde and Yvonne Levesque.

Besides his wire, Mr. Leveille is survived by two godchildren, Sandra Lussier of Nashua, and Juliana Allard of Farmville, North Carolina; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Anctil-Rouchette and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mary (Hetherington) Albert

Mary (Hetherington) Albert, 81, of Hudson, died Monday, December 26 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua.

She was born January 22, 1924, in Boston, Massachusetts, daughter of the late John C. and Margaret (Mooney) Hetherington. She was also predeceased by a brother, John J. Hetherington.

Mrs. Albert was the beloved wife of William Albert of Hudson to whom she had been married for 56 years.

Mrs. Albert moved to Hudson in 1988, prior to which she and her husband lived in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, where they raised their family.

During World War II, she worked at Western Electric Co. in New Jersey and was later employed by Lambrecht Foods as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Albert was previously very active in St. Robert Church in West Andover. In her earlier years she volunteered her time with various charities.

She enjoyed crocheting, camping, watching baseball, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as always setting a wonderful example of how to be a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Besides her loving husband, survivors include son, Andrew W. Albert of Nashua; son and daughter-in-law Peter and Lorraine Albert of Merrimack; son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Jacqueline Albert of Salem, New Hampshire; daughter Jane Albert, and her partner Tom Salvo of Haverhill, Massachusetts; daughter and son-in-law Kathryn and Michael Usher of Saratoga Springs, New York; 11 grandchildren: Angela Albert of Lowell, Massachusetts; Daniel Bazzinotti and Nicole Bazzinotti of Haverhill, Massachusetts; Erin Albert, Caitlyn Albert, Juliana Albert, and Christopher Dionne of Merrimack; Steve Albert and Maria Albert of Salem, New Hampshire; Christina Usher and Eric Usher of Saratoga Springs, New York; a brother-in-law, Roland and Eleanor Albert of DeBary, Florida; as well as two nieces, a nephew and many cousins.

A funeral mass was celebrated on Friday, December 30 in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring Street, Nashua. Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. The family requests donations be sent to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. The Dumont - Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson was in charge of arrangements.

Pauline G. Doucette

Pauline G. Doucette, 81, of Chatham Street, Hudson, died Thursday, December 22, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a long illness.

Born in Nashua, August 1, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Murray) Gauthier. Mrs. Doucette was a graduate of Nashua High School and attended Berklee School of Music and Bentley College. Before her retirement she had been employed as a bookkeeper at Sadler Insurance Agency in Nashua.

She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Nashua. She also held membership in the AARP, National Rifle Association, and was a past member of the Hudson and Nashua Seniors.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Gordon and Lawrence Gauthier, and a siste, Natalie Beaulieu.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Raymond H. Doucette of Hudson; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Raymond L. Doucette of Manchester, Michael G. and Louise Doucette of Littleton, and Kenneth Doucette of Nashua; a daughter and son-in-law Diane and Peter Moore of Manchester; five grandchildren, Michael Doucette of Bolder Colorado, Jenna Doucette of Littleton, Brian Doucette of Pepperell, Massachusetts, Jason Doucette of Pepperell, and Paula Doucette of Hudson; also five great grandchildren.

A funeral mass was celebrated Tuesday, December 27 at St. Patrick Church, Spring Street, Nashua followed by burial in St. Patrick cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 159, Nashua, NH 03061.

Robert Victor Geiger

Robert V. Geiger, 80, of Windham, died Wednesday, December 21, at his home.

Mr. Geiger was born September 17, 1925, in Pepperell, Massachusetts, son of the late Victor and Gertrude (Noakes) Geiger. He was the husband of the late Thelma (Madsen) Geiger. He was also predeceased by three brothers and a sister.

Mr. Geiger was a Navy Veteran of World War II, having served in the Construction Battalion. He was a member of the Nashua Elks Lodge # 720, as well as a member of the VFW in Pepperell, Massachusetts.

He was a rabbit breeder who owned and operated Hallmark Rabbitry in Windham for many years. He was also a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association. He loved caring for the rabbits, and they were his pride and joy.

He is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Ruth and William Lajoie of Hudson; three grandchildren, James Lajoie and Robert Lajoie, both of Merrimack, and Jeanne Lajoie of Hudson; one great grandchild, Tegan Lajoie of Merrimack; and two brothers, Leon Geiger of Machias, Maine, and Bruce Geiger of Lyndeborough, New Hampshire.

Visitation hours were held on Friday, December 23 in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson.

Gerard P. "Jerry" Knights
Gerard P. "Jerry" Knights, 56, of Litchfield, died early Thursday morning, December 29 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, after a brief illness.

Mr. Knights was born in Nashua on April 5, 1949, son of the late Horace L. and Marion Louise (Grant) Knights. He resided in Hudson during his youth and has made his home in Litchfield for the past 28 years.

He is the husband of Glenna D. (Cleveland) Knights with whom he celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary in August.

Mr. Knights had worked as an industrial sales representative for the former Whitney Screw Corporation in Nashua for several years and more recently was employed with the Hillsborough County Department of Correction for three years.

Educated in local schools, Mr. Knights was a graduate-of Alvirne High School, class of 1967 and earned a bachelor's degree in education from Keene State College in 1971.

Mr. Knights was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Hudson, where he was currently serving as moderator. An avid sportsman, he coached both baseball and soccer, and trained boxers. He was also actively involved with Golden Gloves.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a son, Joshua Matthew Knights, who died February 9, 1983.

Besides his wife, Glenna, survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jason P. and Jennifer Knights of Londonderry; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jessica and John Sosnowski of Litchfield and Jillian Knights of Keene; three grandchildren, Abigail and Ryan Knights and Emelia Sosnowski; a brother and sister-in-law Jeffrey P. and Elaine Knights; also nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Farwell Funeral Service, 18 Lock Street, Nashua was in charge of arrangements.

Gerard O'Halloran
Gerard “Jay” O’Halloran, 40, of Hudson, died Thursday, December 22 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

He was the son of Barbara (Dufresne) O’Halloran of Warner, New Hampshire and the late Gerard V. O’Halloran.

Mr. O’Halloran was the husband of Dodi (Tieff) O’Halloran of Hudson.

He was the Vice President of Rapid Finishing Corp., in Nashua. He enjoyed playing hockey in an over-30 league in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts. Jay also coached hockey for several years in the Nashua Bantam League. He was a true hockey fan and loved to play, watch, and go to games. Jay also was a fan of Jimmy Buffet and very much enjoyed going to his concerts. He also enjoyed taking island vacations, snowmobiling, ice skating on the pond, waterskiing, and boating.

Besides his loving wife and mother, survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith and Denice O’Halloran of New Boston, New Hampshire, David and Christina O’ Halloran of Hudson; six sisters and a brother-in-law, Cheryl O’ Halloran of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Linda Ginnetty of Chester, New Hampshire, Karen and Richard Sartori of Barnstead, New Hampshire, Diane Stathopoulos of Nashua, Debra Shaugnessy of Londonderry, New Hampshire, and Barbara Ginnetty of Plymouth, Massachusetts.; a mother-in-law, Erma Tieff of Nashua, a father-in-law, Frank Tieff of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, as well as four brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law; also many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church, 27 Library Street, Hudson on Wednesday, December 28. Burial was in St. Patrick cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115 or Friends of Alvirne Ice Hockey, 39 Glen Drive, Hudson, NH 03051. The Dumont - Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson was in charge of arrangements.

Kirk D. Brown
Kirk D. Brown, 42, of Hudson, died Tuesday, December 19, 2006, in Litchfield, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Kirk was born May 11, 1964, in Athens, Greece, son of Norman and Arta Lee (Breegle) Brown of Donegal, Pennsylvania.

He was the husband of Karen (Parks) of Hudson.

Mr. Brown was employed by Continental Resources in Hudson for 16 years. He enjoyed working with computers and was an avid picture taker. He always enjoyed using his camera and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his two loving daughters.

Besides his wife and parents survivors include two daughters, Emilee Brown and Natilee Brown, both of Hudson; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Antoinette Carpenter of El Paso, Texas, Leslie and David Bowen of Litchfield, Belinda and Tom Drieci of San Diego, California, and Karen Hawser of West Harrison, Indiana; a mother-in-law, Patricia Parks of Lyndonville, Vermont; two sisters-in-law, Pam Parks of Hudson and Michelle and her husband Harold Miller of Methuen, Massachusetts; a brother-in-law, Dean and his wife Debra Parks of Nashua; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 23 in Woodlawn cemetery, located on Kinsley Street in Nashua. All are asked to meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Kirk’s loving memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of arrangements.

William J. Woolfall

William J. Woolfall, 87, of Pelham, formerly of Dracut Center, Massachusetts, and Nashua, died Sunday morning, December 17, 2006, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a lingering illness. He was the beloved husband of Isabelle (Frechette) (Brunelle) Woolfall, with whom he celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on October 21.

He was born in Lowell, March 26, 1919, son of the late William A. and Florence M. (Desrosiers) Woolfall. He was predeceased by his first wife, Blanche (Brunelle) Woolfall who died in 1977. Mr. Woolfall was also the brother of the late Mildred "Millie" Ouellette who died in 1990.

Mr. Woolfall served in the United States Navy for three years during World War II, aboard the USS William T. Powell (DE-213), as an Electrician's Mate, First Class. He was honorably discharged in 1945, and earned the World War II Victory Medal, the American Area Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and the European African Middle Eastern Ribbon.

Before retiring, Mr. Woolfall was employed for over 30 years as a salesman and Sales Manager for Jim Witt Pontiac; and prior to that for Waldimer Pontiac, in Lowell, earning many awards, including the honor of winning the Salesman of the Year Award numerous times. He also won the top 10 Salesmen Award during his many years with the Pontiac Motor Division earning many trips.

He was a loving-devoted husband, father and brother; and his family and friends will always cherish their many fond memories of him, especially his mischief and wonderful sense of humor.

Mr. Woolfall enjoyed following football and baseball. In his earlier years, he loved playing golf and was a member of the Mount Pleasant Golf Club. He and his wife spent many of their later years traveling together. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Pelham.

Besides his loving wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Sandra (Kay) Woolfall of Northville, Michigan, and James and Joanne (Reichert) Woolfall of Nashua, a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and George Lewis of Milford, Michigan; three stepsons and their wives, Donald and Diane (Martineau) Brunelle of Pelham, Roland and Julie (Martineau) Brunelle of Ravenna, Ohio, and Raymond and Vivian (Marcotte) Brunelle of Pelham; four grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife Briana (Constance) Woolfall of Denver, Colorado, Kerry Woolfall of Chicago, Illinois, Kimberly Lewis and her fiancé Keegan King of Chicago, Illinois, and Lindsay Lewis of Novi, Michigan; and a brother and sister-in-law, Frederick and Lillian Woolfall of Lowell. He is also survived by 11 step-grandchildren and their spouses, as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday January 20 in St. Patrick Church in Pelham. Burial will be in St. Josephs cemetery in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, NH 03101. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of arrangements.
