Patricia E. Harris
Patricia E. “Patty” (Harman) Harris, 46, of Lunenburg, Massachusetts, died January 9 at Leominster Hospital in Leominster, Massachusetts.

She was born February 18, 1960, in Ithaca, New York, daughter of the late Ralph L. Harman and Susanne E. (McMickle) Harman of Litchfield. She graduated from Tahanto Regional High School, West Boylston, Massachusetts, in 1978 where she was a cheerleader, started a music program, sang in the chorus, and was selected to compete for the high school. She was a prize winning swimmer at State College in Pennsylvania. She attended Fitchburg State College majoring in Special Education. She also attended Mount Wachusett Community College majoring in Business.

Mrs. Harris was a member of the Sawtelle Singers performing in Jesus Christ Superstar, Brigadoon, and Little Shop of Horrors. She was also a member of the New Players Theater Guild, performing in many productions including playing the lead role of Maria in the Sound of Music. She was one of the founding members of the Showstoppers, a small group of 10 – 15 who performed musical reviews. Mrs. Harris also performed many beautiful productions with the Theater at the Mount including, Scrooge, Annie, HMS Pinafore, the Sound of Music, Oklahoma, and Brigadoon. She was also a member of the Greater Gardner Community Choir where she sang and was a soloist for weddings and funerals. Music was a big part of her life.

She and her husband ran the Joslin Hill Farms, a dairy farm in Leominster. She was an avid gardener. She loved farming, planting, flowers, and animals. She loved her family and her family loved her. She also enjoyed cross-stitching for gifts as a way of expressing her love for others.

She leaves her husband of 15 years, Paul D. Harris; her mother, Susanne E. (McMickle) Harman of Litchfield; two sisters, Debbie L. Courcy and Barbara J. DesRoches, both of Litchfield; five nieces and nephews, Amanda Harman, Trevor Cloutier, Shawn DesRoches, Meagan DesRoches, and Chris Andreasen.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 17 at the Congregational Church of Christ in Leominster, Massachusetts. Burial followed in the Evergreen cemetery. As an everlasting tribute, donations may be made to the Glen Downer Scholarship Fund, c/o The New Players Theater Guild, P. O. Box 1653, Fitchburg, MA 01420, or to the Mount Wachusett Community College Foundation in the name of the Theater at the Mount, 444 Green Street, Gardner, MA 01440.

William E. Hedges
William E. Hedges, 77, of Litchfield, died Friday evening at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts.

Born in Mineola, New York, he was the son of the late William D. and Alberta (Budress) Hedges. Mr. Hedges was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was the owner of St. John Lumber Co. in St. John Virgin Island for 24 years before his retirement. He moved to Litchfield in 2002 to be closer to his grandchildren and for the past three years he drove a school bus in Hudson. In the 60s he built a plane and got his private pilots license and in the eighties he received his captain’s license for an 100-ton boat and also received his dive masters certification.

He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Derry.

Survivors include his wife Marianne (Hansen) Hedges of Litchfield, a son David Hedges and his partner Joel Auville of Brooklyn, New York, Dean W. Hedges of Seattle, Washington, a daughter and son-in-law Donna and Frank Plunkett of Litchfield, a sister June Thomas of Bethesda, Maryland; four grandchildren, Amanda, Max, Valerie, and Billy Plunkett all of Hudson.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In William’s memory donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice or to their own church. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of arrangements.

Russell King
Russell King, 82, of Hudson died unexpectedly at his home on January 14, 2007. He was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts on March 13, 1924. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Elmer and Grace May (Bissett) King, Prior to living in Hudson for the past 38 years he had lived in Lowell, Massachusetts. He was an auxiliary police officer with the Lowell Police Department for several years. He had also attended a course in Boston teaching him how to repair television sets. Mr. King also served as a dispatcher with the Tyngsborough Police Department while living in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, and was good friends with the former Police Chief Charlie Chronopoulous who now resides in Florida. He was married for 50 years to Dorothy King who predeceased him in 1994. They were married September 10, 1944. He was retired from Centronics in Hudson, and worked at Batesville Casket Co. He was a member of the Nashua Senior Citizens Center where he had his noon day meals with many friends. His hobbies consisted of having large yard sales in his yard, long drives with his wife, true crime books, historical reading, reminiscing about the "good old days” and his much beloved cat and companion "Fluffy, ”."

He leaves four children, three sons and one daughter, David R. of Nashua, Richard P. of Windsor, New York, and John of Greenfield, Massachusetts, and his beloved daughter Judith A. Doucette of Hudson; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, one brother, many nieces and nephews, and many friends. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire was in charge of arrangements.

Gary E. Moore
Gary Emerson Moore, 58, of Nashua died Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua following a brief illness.

Mr. Moore was born July 24, 1948 in Beverly, Massachusetts, son of the late Ralph and Grace (Benson) Moore.

Gary was a dedicated fan of NASCAR and was an employee of April Industries in Hudson for the past five years.

He is survived by all his loving friends at April Industries.

Visitation Hours were held on Monday, January 15 with a Prayer Service in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry Street in Hudson. Burial was private. In lieu of flowers, you are asked to consider a donation in Gary’s name to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 Rte 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of arrangements.

Allison M. Corf
Allison M. Corf, 19, of Litchfield, died Monday, January 8, 2007 in the Children's Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. Allison was born in Derry, New Hampshire on February 13, 1987, a daughter of Michael J. and Patricia A. (McCarthy) Corf, and was a lifelong resident of Litchfield. She was a graduate of Campbell High School in Litchfield, Class of 2005, where she was involved in sports, a member of the National Honor Society and was vice president of the Band. Allison was currently enrolled at Keene State College where she was involved in a campus-based outreach program against violence. She was an avid Red Sox and sports fan, and enjoyed music, people, the ocean, and the lake.

In addition to her parents of Litchfield; she is survived by her sister, Michelle Corf of Litchfield; her maternal grandparents, William and Mary McCarthy of Quincy, Massachusetts; her paternal grandfather, John Corf and his wife Beatrice of Winchester, Massachusetts; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Patricia Corf.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 12, at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 9 St. Francis Way, Litchfield. The burial will be in the Pine Grove cemetery in Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Campbell High School Music Department, c/o Phillip Martin, 1 Highlander Court, Litchfield, NH 03052, or to the Pan-Mass Challenge, c/o Dr. Samuel C. Blackman, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Department of Pediatric Oncology, 44 Binney Street (Dana 3), Boston, MA 02115 (make checks to Pan-Mass Challenge), or go to www.rideforthem.com.

The Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium in Londonderry is in charge of arrangements.

Thomas G. Levesque
Thomas Gerard Roy Levesque, 63, beloved husband of Evelyn Levesque, of Pomona, Missouri (formerly of Litchfield) died January 2, 2007 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri from a brief illness.

Mr. Levesque was born in Nashua on January 20, 1943. He was the son of Lieutenant Gerard Roy and Grace M. (Gagnon) Roy (Levesque). He and his brother Richard were adopted by Roland Levesque in his early childhood when his widowed mother married Mr. Levesque. He spent his childhood in Litchfield attending Litchfield schools and high schools in Manchester and Hudson. He earned his Associate’s degree from Wentworth Institute in Massachusetts and his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Northrop Institute of Technology in California.

He married his wife Evelyn Lockhart in August of 1967. They lived in Hawthorne, California, for many years and then moved to Pomona.

Mr. Levesque worked as a mechanical engineer for Hugh’s Aircraft in California and then Marathon Electric in West Plains, Missouri. He was also an avid “gentleman farmer” at his farm in Pomona which he named “Little Litchfield.” He also enjoyed building, repairing and restoring machinery especially cars and trucks. In his early years he enjoyed racing cars first at the Hudson Speedway and then in Pomona. He and his family enjoyed many camping trips and RVing in the desert of Southern California. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

He was a communicant of and Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph Church in Peace Valley, Missouri.

Mr. Levesque was predeceased by his father Lieutenant Gerard Roy, his adoptive father Roland J. Levesque and mother Grace Gagnon Roy Levesque and a granddaughter Elizabeth Grace.

Mr. Levesque is survived by his daughter Ginette Levesque Rought of Pomona; his grandchildren Andrew, Joshua, and Brianna; his brother Richard Roy Levesque; sisters Susanne Levesque Lindquist and Marian Levesque Tibbetts; aunts Jean (Gagnon) Boucher and Eva Gagnon, all of Hudson, and Pearl (Roy) Nevens of Conway, Gloria (Royu) Biron of Burlington, Vermont, Elizabeth Gagnon of Manchester, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and grandnieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held January 8 at St. Joseph Church in Peace Valley. Arrangements were under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains.

George L. Mousseau

George L. Mousseau, 61, of Hudson died Friday, January 5, 2007 at home.

Mr. Mousseau was born December 11, 1945, In Lowell, Massachusetts, son of George O. and Lillian (Tardiff) Mousseau. He was a resident of Hudson for 37 years.

He was husband of Bess (Soukas) Mousseau with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.

Mr. Mousseau worked for Hesser College as a computer technician and teacher before retirement. He also was previously employed at Dynamics Research Corporation as a systems engineer.

He was a Vietnam Navy veteran, serving for 6 years. During his duty, he served on the USS Jamestown and received the Vietnam Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal.

Mr. Mousseau was a former Hudson Town Councilor and past Hudson Lions Club President. He was also a member of the American Legion Hudson Post 48, Veterans of Foreign Wars Hudson Post 5791, and the Franco-American Genealogical Society.

He was a graduate of Lowell High School, Franklin Pierce College and Rivier College.

Mr. Mousseau was predeceased by his brother, Raymond in 1997. In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Nicolle and Kevin Wilamowski of Manchester; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jason Mousseau and companion Anne Beaudoin of Goffstown, Philip and Jennifer Mousseau of Weymouth, Mass; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. National Cremation Society is in charge. In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations in his memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans and The Salvation Army.

Pearl M. (Williams) Tenney
Pearl M. (Williams) Tenney, 80, of Hudson died at home on Thursday, January 4, 2007.

Mrs. Tenney was born in Nashua on December 17, 1926, a daughter of the late Earl and Elizabeth (Cushing) Williams. She had resided in Hudson since 2004, and previously lived in Hollis and Nashua, New Hampshire and Florida.

She was the wife of Richard G. Tenney whom she married on April 2, 1965.

At one time, Mrs. Tenney worked in Medical Records at St. Joseph Hospital. She also was employed at Sanders Associates. During World War II, she worked at Ft. Devens.

She was a member of Pilgrim Chapter #55, Order of the Eastern Star, and Nashua Assembly #9 International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Mrs. Tenney enjoyed knitting and crafts.

Mrs. Tenney was a graduate of Nashua High School.

She was predeceased by a sister, Marion Britton.

In addition to her husband Richard of 41 years, survivors include a daughter, Brenda Goodwin Carver of Windham, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Joyce Goodwin of Hudson, NH; three grandchildren and their spouses, Pamela J. and Luc Carrier, Travis Goodwin, Kalie and Jeremy Griffith; four great-grandchildren, Aimee Carrier, Melanie Carrier, Joshua Carrier, and Jacob Goodwin; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Madeline Dionne of Nashua and Mildred and Edward Quigley of Nashua; a brother Leonard Williams of Nashua; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are in the care of Davis Funeral Home, One Lock Street, Nashua.

Cheryl Lewis

Cheryl Ann Lewis, 47, of Litchfield, died Thursday, December 21, 2006 at the Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua.

She was born February 27, 1959 in Boston, Massachusetts, daughter of Florence Hartford of North Easton, Massachusetts and Albert Merola, and his wife Virginia, of Norton, Massachusetts.

Cheryl was the wife of Quentin Lewis of Litchfield.

Mrs. Lewis was employed most recently at the Charlotte Avenue School for two years as media specialist and was employed previously for seven years at the Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson as a librarian and computer teacher.

She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson and was a member of the Litchfield Garden Club. She volunteered at Nashua Soup kitchen and was a mentor for the Presentation of Mary Academy Lego Team. She was currently working towards her Masters degree in Library Science at Simmons College in Boston. She loved kids and always tried to be an example to students on how to help others.

Besides her loving husband and parents survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Lewis of Brooklyn, New York and Kristen Lewis of Litchfield; five brothers and three sisters-in-law; David Merola of Plymouth, Massachusetts, Albert and Denise Merola of Gorham, Maine, Kevin and Colleen Merola of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, Ronald and Sue Merola of South Easton, Massachusetts, William Merola of Manchester; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, December 27 in the Chapel of Presentation of Mary Academy. Burial was in St. Patrick cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers the family requested donations be made in Cheryl’s loving memory to the PMA Library Fund, c/o Presentation of Mary Academy, 182 Lowell Road, Hudson, NH 03051. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson was in charge of arrangements.

Olivette (Rivard) Pelletier

Olivette (Rivard) Pelletier, 80, of Nashua, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack.

She was born August 31, 1926 in Nashua, daughter of the late Ernest and Irene (Jeannotte) Rivard.

Olivette was the wife of Conrad Pelletier of Nashua.

Mrs. Pelletier was a 1943 graduate of St. Louis High School in Nashua.

For five years she served as a Eucharistic Minister and advocate for senior citizens in Green Briar Terrace. She supported many charitable organizations, both financially as well as with volunteering her time. She loved music and dancing and truly enjoyed vacationing in Florida.

Besides her loving husband survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Pelletier and his fiancé Cheryl Brush of White River Junction, Vermont, Mark and Lisa Pelletier of Ashburnham, Massachusetts; two daughters, Susan Hundermark of Summit, New Jersey, and Michele Pfaff of Nashua; two granddaughters, Brooke Pfaff and Ashley Pfaff, both of Los Angeles, California; as well as several cousins and many dear friends.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, December 29 in the Parish of the Immaculate Conception, 216 East Dunstable Road, Nashua. Burial was in St. Louis cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Olivette’s loving memory to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson was in charge of arrangements.
