Debra A. (Dupont) Dougherty
Debra A. Dougherty, 44, of Elmwood Drive, Hudson died Saturday March 27, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital.

Born November 21, 1959 in Nashua, she was the daughter of the late George Dupont and Victoria (Paquette) Dupont, of Dalton, NH and formerly of Hudson.

Mrs. Dougherty was employed as a sales clerk for GNC.

Besides her mother, survivors include her husband, Paul M. Dougherty, of Hudson. Also one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Kim Rhodes, of Hudson and one step-daughter, Kristle E. Dougherty, of Brookline, NH. Also one brother, George Dupont Jr., of Dalton, NH as well as three sisters, Lisa Dumont and her companion, Michael Haley, of Hudson, Dorothy Dupont and Donna Dupont, both of Dalton, NH. Also four grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There was no funeral service. Memorial visitation hours were Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St., Hudson, NH. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, Hudson is in charge of arrangements.

Adam Daniel Dubowik
Adam Daniel Dubowik, 23, of Derry Road, Hudson, died suddenly Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.

He was born June 5, 1981, in Nashua, son of Dan and Judith (McDonough) Dubowik of Hudson.

Adam was a graduate of Alvirne High School Class of 1999. He enjoyed playing basketball and softball and was employed by Dubowik Excavation and Equipment Sales in Londonderry.

He was pre-deceased by his maternal grandparents, Coleman, Sr., and Margaret (Kearney) McDonough, and his paternal grandfather, Peter Dubowik.

Besides his loving parents, survivors include three brothers, Jake Dubowik, Ben Dubowik, and Brian Dubowik, two sisters, Danielle Dubowik and Audrey Dubowik, all of Hudson, a paternal grandmother, Rita T. Dubowik of Hudson, 11 aunts and uncles, and many cousins.

The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge or arrangements.

George Edward Duffy
George Edward Duffy, 74, of Woodcrest Drive, Hudson, died Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

Mr. Duffy was born June 8, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts, son of the late George and Frances (Robinson) Duffy.

He was the husband of Lois (Robinson) Duffy, of Hudson. Mr. Duffy was previously married to Barbara A. (Farrell) Duffy, who died on September 11, 1987.

Mr. Duffy was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson. He was a graduate of Boston University and a WWII veteran, having served in the Navy.

Mr. Duffy was a previous member of the Cable TV Pioneers as well as the AOH of Nashua.

Besides his wife survivors include: one son and one daughter-in-law, Tom and Donna Duffy of Hollis; two grandchildren, Meghan Duffy and Michael Duffy, both of Hollis; one step-daughter, Michelle Keegan of Southborough, Massachusetts; eight step-grandchildren, Love Fargolo of Providence, Rhode Island; Jessica Keegan, Rachel Keegan, Michelle Keegan, Gabriel Keegan, Alexander Keegan, Nickolas Keegan, and Issac Keegan; and one step-great-grandchild, Tyler Fargolo of Providence, Rhode Island.

Lionel “Leo” Frenette
Lionel “Leo” Frenette, 82, of Dumont Road, Hudson, died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at the New Hampshire Veteran’s Home in Tilton.

He was born on October 16, 1921, in Hudson, the son of the late George and Laura (Roy) Frenette. Mr. Frenette was the husband of Mrs. Helen (Gagnon) Frenette of Hudson.

He was a World Ward II veteran having served in the Army. Mr. Frenette received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, and the Silver Star. He was also a member of the American Legion Hudson Post 48 and VFW Nashua Post 483.

Mr. Frenette previously owned Hudson Auto Body and later Town Auto Body, which he closed upon falling ill. He also worked part time with his sons in Frenette Brother’s Inc.

Mr. Frenette will be remembered for his magnetic personality and was known as” Leo the Lion” for his outdoor ability in the Great Northern Woods.

He was an avid outdoorsman who was a member of the Hudson Fish and Game Club, was considered a great hunting and fishing partner, and enjoyed inventing things such as his infamous “six wheel drive.”

He enjoyed playing horseshoes and most of all, spending time with his family and friends.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Rosemary Theriault; three brothers, Eugene Frenette, Harvey Frenette, and Robert Frenette, Sr.; also by five sisters, Val Ducharme, Irene Frenette, Regina Frenette, Violet Dumas, and Rita Burns.

Besides his loving wife Helen, survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, John “Mandoe” Frenette, Dana and Janet Frenette, Dennis and Ellen Frenette all from Hudson. One daughter, Donna Frenette of Hudson. Two brothers, Roger Frenette and Henry Frenette, both of Hudson. Ten grandchildren, Dawn Lee Dubois and Clifton Dubois, both of Merrimack; Carrie Ann Willey of Nashua; Malinda Frenette of Hudson; Kristin Emerson and Stephanie Emerson both of Hudson; Nicole Frenette, Megan Frenette, Chantel Frenette, and Shannon Frenette, all of Hudson, ass well as six great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 27 Library Street, Hudson. All are invited and may meet at the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry Street, Hudson, at 9:15 a.m. Viewing hours will be on Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Patrick cemetery, Hudson. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of the arrangements.

Leon J. Gosselin
Leon J. Gosselin, 68, of Hudson, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Gosselin was born September 19, 1935, in Ste. Ephrem DeBeauce, Quebec, Canada, son of the late Gedeon and Alice (Poulin) Gosselin.

He was the husband of Helene (Roy) Gosselin of Hudson, with whom he would have celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary of May 19.

In his earlier years, Mr. Gosselin enjoyed brook fishing, camping with his family, and boating. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. When spending time with his family, he loved playing board games and cards.

Mr. Gosselin was predeceased by three brothers and one sister. Besides his wife, survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Jerrilyn Gosselin of Nashua, and Yves and Valerie Gosselin of Hudson. One daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Tom Bannworth of New Providence, New Jersey; one brother, Robert Gosselin; eight sisters, Yolande Bilodeau, Gilberte Lacasse, Therese Carrier, Cecile Bizier, Francine Couture, Fernand Veillieux, Laurence Couture, and Colette Fortin, all of Canada; as well as 11 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of arrangements.

Jonathan P. Gove
Jonathan P. Gove 23, of Sand Hill Road, Hudson, died Friday morning from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Jonathan was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on January 24, 1981. He is the son of Lester and June (Heino) Gove of Hudson.

He was a 1999 graduate of Alvirne High School, he received is associates degree from Horrey Georgetown College, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, his BA from Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach and was attending classes towards his MBA at Southern New Hampshire University. Jonathan was working in sales at Marvin Window and Door of Amherst while going to school. He was a communicant of St. Kathryn Church in Hudson.

Jonathan enjoyed the outdoors and was active in fishing, golfing, hiking, boating, and snowboarding. He also enjoyed spending time at the ocean. He also bowled with the Tuesday Industrial League in Nashua.

Jonathan was a very caring, considerate and sensitive individual that set his goals high and achieved them. He was always sending cards to his family and friends with personal notes. He enjoyed being with his family and friends the most.

Besides his parents he is survived by a sister Megan Gove of Hudson; his maternal grandmother, Rita Ouellette Gove of Hudson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dorothy E. (Demanche) Hirth
Dorothy E. (Demanche) Hirth, 60, of 1 Buttonwood Lane, Merrimack, New Hampshire died on Sunday afternoon, May 9, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.

She was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on August 6, 1943, a daughter of the late George and Helen (Poliquin) Demanche. She had been a resident of Merrimack since October of 1996, prior to which she had resided in Nashua, New Hampshire.

She was the wife of Bermard P. Hirth Sr. whom she married on January 30, 1960.

At one time, Mrs. Hirth was a self-employed hairdresser and also worked at Benchmark. Most recently, she had worked at Locheed Martin as a solderer.

Mrs. Hirth loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed the beach, camping, crocheting, and computer games. Her patron saint was St. Jude.

She was a graduate of Nashua High School and Michael’ Beauticianary School in Boston.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, George Demanche.

In addition to her husband of 44 years, survivors include: four sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard P. and Svetlana Hirth Jr. of Port Richey; Florida; Andrew P. and Donna Hirth of Hudson; Gary J. and Denise Hirth of Derry; and Phillip G. Hirth of Merrimack; eleven grandchildren, Bernard P. Hirth III, Nicholas Hirth and Nick Bartov all of Port Richey, Florida; Jason Hirth, Jacob Hirth, and Jonathan Hirth all of Hudson; Keith Hirth and Krystal Hirth both of Derry; Dana Hirth, Natasha Hirth, and Shane Hirth all of Merrimack; a sister and brother-in-law, Yvette and Robert Marquis of Merrimack; sisters-in-law and brothers-in law, Jean and Robert Howe of Goffstown; Karen Wisnosky of Hudson; and Jerry Lawrence of Burlington, Vermont; a father-in-law, John P. Lawrence, former Hudson Selectman; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pauline (Shorey) Howe
Pauline (Shorey) Howe, 92, of Megan Drive, Hudson, died late Wednesday night, February 25, 2004, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 15, 1911 in Lowell, Maine, daughter of the late George and Besse (Cunningham) Shorey.

Mrs. Howe was the widow of Reverend Harvey M. Howe, whom she married on October 17, 1931 in Mars Hill, Maine. He was the founding Pastor of the United Pentecostal Church of Hudson, and Superintendent of Central New England District of the United Pentecostal Church, International. Reverend Harvey M. Howe died in December of 1985.

Mrs. Howe graduated from Howland High School at Howland, Maine, Class of 1930. Except for a brief period in Southington, Connecticut, she lived in Maine until moving to Manchester, in 1957.

Since 1965, she has lived in Hudson, and was a member of the Hudson United Pentecostal Church, where she served as Church Treasurer for over 30 years. For many years she also taught Sunday school classes and worked closely with her husband in various church activities.

She loved her family and enjoyed caring for them, along with entertaining the many guests who visited her home. She was especially known for her homemade rolls, doughnuts, and date crumbles. She enjoyed reading and knitting mittens for her grandchildren.

Mrs. Howe was predeceased by: two brothers, Walter Shorey and Clifford Shorey; as well as by five sisters, Pearl Shorey, Jennie Willet, Lucy Shorey, Thelma Trundy, and Erma Hilchey.

Survivors include: four sons and three daughters-in-law, Delmont H. and Sandra Howe of Fort Smith Arizona; Reverend David L. and Jane Howe of Hudson, with whom she lived, Reverend Paul E. and Deborah Howe of Nashua; and James P. Howe of San Mateo, Florida; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Lois P. and Oscar Chandler of Manchester New Hampshire; Mary L. and Richard Dame of Hudson; Phyllis E. and Allen Merchant of Addison, Maine; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marion and Ernest Cook of Auburn, Maine and W. Leota Peavey of Cointh, Maine; two sisters-in-law, Ellen Shorey of Bangor, Maine and Patricia Shorey of Bristol, Connecticut; as well as 28 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Normand L. Landry
Normand L. Landry, 76, of Lowell Road, Hudson died January 11, 2004 at the Fairview Nursing Home.

He was born in Nashua on April 14, 1927 a son of the late Noel C. and Marie J. (St. Onge) Landry. He was the husband of Diane (Caron) Landry of Peterborough.

Mr. Landry was a longtime resident of Nashua and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. Mr. Landry had been employed by Gregg and Sons, and prior to his retirement, Triangle Pacific.

Besides his wife, Mr. Landry is survived by: Three daughters and two sons-in-law; Joyce and Wayne Nadeau, Lisa Ricard and her fiancé, Richard Clark Jr. all of Hudson, Denise and Robert Morgan of Jacksonville, NC, two sons; Brian Landry and Gerard Landry both of Hudson, five grandchildren; Andrew Ricard, Danielle Ricard, Jason Kierstead, Gregg Kierstead and Keeley Greenleaf, three great-grandchildren, two brothers; Robert Landry of Hillsboro and Raymond Landry of San Jose, CA, one sister and brother-in-law; Priscilla and Donald McMullin of Florida, a brother-in-law; Douglas Carroll of Nashua, also several nieces, nephews, and cousins
