Reginald "Reggie" Michaud
Reginald "Reggie" Michaud, 45, of Gillis Street, Hudson, died Monday, October 4, 2004 at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, following injuries he sustained from an accident earlier that day. He was born July 20, 1959 in Ste. Rose Ville Degelis, Province Quebec, Canada, son of Martine (Soucy) Michaud of Lawrence, Massachusetts, and the late Clovis Michaud.

Mr. Michaud was the husband of Patricia (Mehlhorn) Michaud of Hudson, with whom he would have celebrated his 21st wedding anniversary with on October 29.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Nicole Lynn Michaud in December of 1996.

Mr. Michaud went to Lawrence, Massachusetts, from Canada in July of 1972 and became a U.S. citizen on April 22, 1983. He resided in Lawrence until moving to Hudson in 1990.

He was, a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson and was employed by Sanmina Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts, as a machine operator,

He was loving man; wonderful husband, terrific father, and well liked by all and will be remembered for his fun loving joker sense or humor. He enjoyed bowling, camping, and taking his daughter on bike rides. He was also an avid sports fan who loved the Red Sox. He was looking forward to starting school in November to become a tractor-trailer driver. He will always be remembered as being willing to lend a helping hand to others.

Besides his loving wife and mother, survivors include one daughter, Chantal Jaclyne Michaud of Hudson, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Yvan and Charlotte Michaud of Raymond, Jean Louis and Lisa of Lawrence, Massachusetts, Maurice Michaud of Methuen, Massachusetts, three sisters, Jocelyne Thach and Frances Michaud, both of Methuen, Massachusetts, Linda Michaud of' Andover, Massachusetts, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00 p.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 27 Library Street, Hudson. All are invited and may meet at the church in time for Mass or at the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry Street, Hudson at 11:15 a.m. Burial will be in St. Patrick cemetery, Hudson. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of arrangements

Eleanor L. Kobelenz Paquette
Eleanor L. (Burndrett) Kobelenz Paquette, a resident of Hudson the past four years, formerly of North Conway, New Hampshire and Chelmsford, Massachusetts, died Monday, July 5, 2004 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, New Hampshire after a lengthy illness at the age of 80. She was the wife of Henry L. Paquette with whom she was married for 35 years, and the late Charles E. Kobelenz.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on August 10, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Irene (Higgins) Burndrett. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Paquette was employed as an insurance account executive for Picken Insurance Company in North Chelmsford, prior to which she worked as an administrative assistant for the Chelmsford School System. She was a former member of the North Chelmsford Congregational Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by: four children, Debora L. Kobelenz and her companion Richard Siverhus of Hudson; Mary Ellen Greaves and her husband Edward of Chelmsford; Jack Koeblenz and his companion Betty Belcastro of Littleton, Massachusetts and David Kobelenz and his wife Lisa of Weare, New Hampshire; eight grandchildren, Molly Kobelenz of Winchester, Massachusetts; Emily Kobelenz of Lowell, Massachusetts; Jason Kobelenz of Weare, New Hampshire; Rachel Kobelenz of Hudson; Chelsea Greaves of Chelmsford, Massachusetts; Karen Grantham of Merrimack, New Hampshire; James Kobelenz of Milford, New Hampshire and Tony Kobelanz of California; Stepchildren, Paul and Leslie Paquette of Atkinson, New Hampshire an Richard and Diane Rosa of Lowell; and her best friend Liz Goulding of Hyannisport, Massachusetts. She was pre-deceased by a son, Terry D. Kobelenz and a sister, Mary Robinson.

Steven Prince
Steven Prince, 47, of Timber Lane Road, Hudson, died at his home Friday, November 12, 2004. He was the son of Robert Prince of Hudson and the late Marge (Carter) Prince.

He enjoyed family pizza night on Friday, camping with his family, riding roller coasters with his daughters and shopping at Home Depot. His passions were motorcycles, NASCAR racing, and he followed Mark Martin. He loved the peacefulness of the outdoors and had fond childhood memories of Damariscotta Lake in Maine and he enjoyed swimming and bowling. He liked woodworking and doing building projects

He had been employed for 26 years with Public Service of New Hampshire in Nashua and was a USWA Local Union 8938 member and was the unit chairperson from 1997 – 2003. He was a New Hampshire Licensed electrician and a member of the American Motorcyclist Association. Steve was a graduate of Alvirne High School and a member of St. Mark Church.

Besides his father survivors include his wife Jill (Horgan) Prince of Hudson, two daughters Lauren and Erica Prince, both of Hudson; a sister Paula Prince of Houston, Texas; along with several nieces, nephew, cousins, aunts and uncles.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mark Church, Londonderry, on Monday with burial in Hills Farms cemetery, Hudson. Those choosing to make a memorial offering in memory of Steve, donations may be made to: Prince Family Education Fund., c/o Bank of New Hampshire, 80 Derry Road, Hudson, New Hampshire 03051. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of arrangements.

Jeffrey Leo Roome
Jeffrey Leo Roome of 20 Stoney Lane, Hudson, died suddenly Thursday, July 1, 2004 in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. He was born on August 17, 1968 in Melrose, Massachusetts, the son of Theodore F. and Catherine R. Roome. He lived in Hudson his entire life except for two years spent in Springfield, Virginia.

Jeffrey attended Hudson schools and played soccer for Alvirne High School. He graduated from the Nashua Community Adult Education System and attended classes at the New Vocational Technical Institute. He worked in construction in the Hudson area and was currently self-employed as a painter. Jeff was previously employed by Total Glazing Systems of Londonderry and was a member of The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, District Council No. 35.

He was a silent volunteer for the Hudson Old Home Days, always helping with setup before the crowds arrived. Jeff was an active snow boarder and especially enjoyed the White Mountain region. He was an avid ice hockey fan, especially the Boston Bruins – a love he shared with his late grandmother.

Family and friends always remember his sensitive and generous nature, and will especially miss his kindness to their young children.

In addition to his parents, Jeffrey will be deeply missed by his sister, Michele L. (Roome) Alukonis, her husband, David J. and their son Seamus. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Florence M. Roome of Medford Massachusetts; the Richard MacDonald family of Medford Massachusetts; the Paul Roome family of Orion, Illinois, and the Edward McGonagle family of Hudson.

Edna J. “Jackie” Roussell
Edna J. "Jackie" (Valarose) Roussell, 72, Pelham, New Hampshire, died Friday, August 13, 2004, at Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Raymond A. Roussell who died May 20, 1994.

Born in Lowell, January 16, 1932, a daughter of the late Charles Valarose and the late Edna (Petroski) (Valarose) Thomas.

Prior to her retirement she was a bookkeeper for the former Pelham Bank and Trust Co.

Mrs. Roussell was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Pelham and was a member of the Red Hat Society of Pelham and Pelham American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was an accomplished pianist and musician.

Surviving her are three children, Jacqueline Sargent and her husband Daryl of Beverly, James Roussell and Pam Stevens of Pelham, and Joanne Duncan and her husband Shawn of North Conway, four grandchildren, Jared and Jesse Roussell, Stacey and Andrea Sargent, a brother, Cliff Valarose of Pennsylvania, a sister Sandra Valarose-Lapierre of Rhode Island, dear friend Norma Redman of Windham, and several nieces and nephews.

John H. Rufo
John H, Rufo, 67, of Dugout Road, Hudson, died Friday, September 10 at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

He was born February 13, 1937 in Boston, Massachusetts, son of the late Luigi and Rose (Auferio) Rufo.

He was the husband of Madeline (Anderson) Rufo of Hudson.

Mr. Rufo was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson.

Mr. Rufo worked for many years at Gringeri Trucking Company. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and loved taking trips to the beach and to Lincoln, New Hampshire. He also enjoyed attending the Fisherman's Feast in the North End of Boston.

He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Rufo, and two sisters, Mary Rufo and Ida Fredette.

Besides his loving wife, survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Susan Rufo of Wilmington, Massachusetts, Anthony Rufo of Hudson; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jody Rufo of Hudson, and Mary and Bobby Evans of Hudson; one brother, Louis Rufo of Nashua; two sisters, Annie Kennison of Hudson and Jeanette Bice of Carver, Massachusetts; five Grandchildren, Gage Evans, Mariah Evans, and Dominic Evans, all of Hudson; John "JR" Rufo, Jr. and Nicholas Rufo, both of Wilmington, Massachusetts, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Those choosing to make a donation in John's loving memory may do so to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, Massachusetts 01701. The Dumont Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of arrangements.

Warren F. Stanley
Warren F. Stanley, 73, of Hudson died at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center on Saturday afternoon November 6, 2004.

He was born in Somerville, Massachusetts on November 21, 1930, a son of the late Irving and Frances (Forand) Stanley. He had resided in Hudson for the past 47 years.

He was the husband of Florence T. (Utka) Stanley, whom he married on August 22, 1953. He had been employed for many years at Stanley Elevator Company. Mr. Stanley created a patriotic float which later became known as the “INSPIRE MOBILE” and has been featured in local parades for many years.

He was an active member of INSPIRE. As well, he held membership in Hudson Post # 48, American Legion.

He was educated in Tilton and Nashua and was a graduate of Nashua High School.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Florence T. (Utka) Stanley of Hudson, his daughters Mary Ann and Belinda Turner of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Beverly A.Stanley of Hudson and Roseann Vischer and her husband Will of Brandon, Florida; a son Richard Stanley and his wife Jodi of Collierville, Tennessee, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two brothers Richard I. Stanley and Eleonore Montzko of Nashua and William A. Stanley and his wife Sylvia of Melbourne, Florida; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Josephine Zaikis of South Boston, Massachusetts and Joseph and Margaret Utka of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts and several nieces and nephews.

The Davis Funeral Home, One Lock Street, Nashua is in charge of arrangements.

Philip J. Tiebor
Philip J. Tiebor, 33, of Greeley Street, Hudson, died Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua.

Born February 12 1971 in Nashua, he was the son of Sharon (Russo) Gallo of Ansonia, Connecticut, and the late Roland Tiebor, Jr.

Mr. Tiebor was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed three-wheeling and loved watching football, especially the Patriots.

Besides his loving mother, survivors include his wife Jackie (Ramos) Tiebor of Hudson; a son, Philip of Hudson; a brother Daniel D. Tiebor, of Derby, Connecticut; and two sisters, Lea True of San Diego, California, and Alex Gallo of Ansonia, Connecticut; also a very close friend, Tim O’Dowd of Hudson.

Services were held in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home on Friday, December 17 with a graveside service in St. Patrick cemetery, Hudson, on Saturday, December 18.

Yvette Vaillancourt
Yvette Vaillancourt, 79, of Bush Hill Road, Hudson, died Friday, August 6, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts May 10, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Blanche (Paquin) Cloutier. She was the widow of Harvey Vaillancourt who died in February of this year.

Mrs. Vaillancourt was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. She was the manager of Kay’s Laundromat before her retirement and had previously worked at J.F. McElwain Shoe Co. She was a former member of the Nashua Seniors.

Survivors include a son and daughter in law Dennis and Kathleen Vaillancourt of Londonderry, four brothers, Raymond Cloutier, Roland Cloutier, Norman Cloutier, all of Hudson; Kenneth Cloutier of Florida, two sisters Anita Hajj of Nashua and Laurel Lincoln of Hudson. Two grandsons William and Brian Vaillancourt of Londonderry.

She was predeceased by three brothers Donald, George and Wilfred Cloutier.

A Memorial Mass was celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church, 27 Library Street, Hudson, Wednesday, August 1.

Arthur L. Baker, Jr.
After a courageous battle with stomach cancer, Arthur L. Baker, Jr., 76, of Windham and formerly of North Reading, Massachusetts, died Friday evening May 27 at his home surrounded by family. He was the husband of Marion (Stevenson) Baker; they would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary later this year.

He was born in Medford, Massachusetts, November 17, 1928, the son of the late Arthur L. Baker, Sr. and the late Sybil (Haseltine) Baker. He was raised in Malden, Massachusetts, and was a graduate of Malden High School in the Class of 1947. In 1972, he graduated from Lowell Technological Institute (now the University of Massachusetts - Lowell).

Mr. Baker was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict as a Corporal in the Military Police.

Before retiring several years ago, he was a Senior Project Manager with Mass Electric Construction Co. of Allston for many years. He held membership in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 103 for over 57 years.

He was a member of the North Reading Masonic Lodge A. F. & A.M.

Mr. Baker and his wife did a lot of traveling before Marion slowed down. Their favorites were to England and a cross country trip visiting as many gardens as possible. They also enjoyed many trips with the former Senior Friends of Parkland in recent years.

He enjoyed the Red Sox, but stopped everything to watch his favorite New England Patriots. He looked forward to the family's many gatherings through the years.

His biggest passion was as a gardener, passing on his knowledge and sharing his plants with others. No one left his home in the planting season without the car trunk open and Arthur giving them plants.

He was one of the first members of the Windham Garden Club and received the club's Golden TroweI award in 1990.

Mr. Baker was also a member of the first New Hampshire Master Gardener's class. Still active until illness forced him to stop, he was working on the Rockingham County Botanical Garden in Brentwood, which is a work in progress.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Susan Earle and her husband, David, of Wilmington (Susan was his primary care-giver with the rest of the family working as a team to help); A. Lee Baker and his wife, Debra, of Stephens City, Virginia; Cliff Baker and his wife, Barbara, of Brookline, New Hampshire; and Amy Lynne Baker-Santagate of Derry; eleven grandchildren, Erich Baker and his wife, Melissa, of Stephens City, Virginia; Brad Baker and his wife, Kati, of Brookline; Rachel Ann Baker of Winchester, Virginia; Scott S. Conrad of North Reading; Shannon L. Baker of Brookline; Diana Lee Baker of Stephen City, Virginia’ Beth L. Baker of Brookline; Rebecca A. Baker and Callie L. Baker, both of Stephens City, Virginia; Shailynne J. Santagate and Jaquelyn M. Sanatgate both of Derry; three great grandchildren, Siera S. Baker, Jade Wainwright, and Dillon Baker; a sister and brother-in-law, Sybil and Emile Rodrigue of Bridgewater, Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.

Fiends were invited to a Remembrance Service to Honor His Life on Wednesday, June 1 at the first Congregational Church, Main Street, Pelham. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to the R.C. B.G. c/o Nancy Adams, New Hampshire Cooperative Extension, 113 North Road, Brentwood, New Hampshire 03833 or to the Plymouth/Derry Hospice, 1E Commons Drive, Unit 31, Londonderry, New Hampshire 03053.
