Armando Lewis Fantasia
Armando Lewis Fantasia of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday November 30, 2004 at Winchester Hospital. He was 79 years of age.
Born in Revere, Armando was the beloved son of the late Andrea Fantasia and Phimomena (Esposito) Fantasia. Armando was a loving and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all.
Armando was devoted to his family. They were first and foremost in his life. Armando was a dedicated mason for the Local 52 in Quincy and the Local 3 Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union. He was the past President of the Woburn South End Italian Club. He was a past member of the Woburn Sons of Italy. During World War II, Armando proudly served our country in the United States Navy.
Armando was the beloved husband the late Mary Josephine (Chiocariello) Fantasia. He was the devoted father of John James Fantasia and his wife Heidi (Collins) of Winthrop, Michael Anthony Fantasia and his wife Jamie (Doherty) of Billerica, Andrew William Fantasia and his wife Paige (Lombard) of Wakefield, Lorraine Marie Jackson and her husband Donald of Stoneham. Armando was the cherished grandfather of 10. He was the dear brother of Eleanor Polito and her husband John of Billerica, the late Ralph Fantasia and his wife Frances of the North End, the late Biaggio Fantasia and his wife Genive and the late Carmen Anthony Fantasia. Armando was the brother in law of Mary Fantasia of Wareham and was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.

Lawrence Boisvert
Had worked for Nabisco Co. for 33 years

ALTON - Lawrence P. Boisvert, 74, of Old Wolfeboro Road, died April 9, 2002, at concord Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born April 12, 1927, in Meriden, Conn., son of Archibald V. and Catherine (LaHaye) Boisvert.
He worked for the Nabisco Company for 33 years before retiring 12 years ago. He had lived in Barnstead for 10 years and in Alton for a year-and-a-half.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Alton.
Family members include his wife of 52 years, Jean M. (Frenette) Boisvert of Alton; four daughters, Linda Fraser and Sandra Pickett, both of Barnstead, Janice Harris of Milford, Conn., and Patricia Suprenant of Waterbury, Conn.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marianne Dibble of Meriden, Conn.

Dorothy Caspar
Formerly of Andover, Mass.

WOLFEBORO - Dorothy R. (Swanton) Caspar, 96, of Wolfeboro, died April 10, 2002, at Huggins Hospital.
She was born Jan. 15, 1906, in Andover, Mass., daughter of Minnie (Harding) and Charles V. Swanton. She graduated from Cushing Academy and attended Nasson College.
In 1928, she married Frederick G. Caspar, who died in 1982. They resided in Andover, Mass., for most of their married life. In 1991, she moved to Wolfeboro.
Family members include her daughter, D. Ann Caspar and her sister, Grace M. Swensen, both of Wolfeboro; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen S. Parker, in September, 2001.
There were no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 19, at 11:30 a.m. at First Congregational Church in Wolfeboro. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover, Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Huggins Hospital, 240 South Main St., Wolfeboro, NH 03894; First Congregational Church, PO Box 913, Wolfeboro, NH 03894; or to First Church Congregational, 26 Pleasant St., Methuen, MA 01844.
Baker-Gagne Funeral Homes and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.

Colleen Clough
Active in her community, enjoyed travel

MILTON MILLS - Colleen J. Clough, 68, of Main Street, died Sunday, April 14, 2002, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 6, 1933, in Brookfield, daughter of Harry W. and Phyllis (Grant) Morrill, and had lived in Milton Mills for the past 50 years, having moved from Wakefield.
She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Sanbornville, a member of Milton Women’s Club, the Historical Society of Milton, the Pleasant Valley Grange, the YAH’s and the Birthday Girls for several years. She loved to travel and also helped her mother, who has predeceased her, raise her sister Phyllis L. Lavertue’s four children after her death.
Family members include her husband of 51 years Herbert E. Clough, of Milton Mills; two sons Gerald H. Clough, of Gilford, and David J. Clough, of Milton Mills; three brothers Richard Ham of Acton, Maine, Fred Morrill of Springvale, Maine, and Donald Morrill of Acton, Maine; one sister Goldie Day, of Dover; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the chapel of H.J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, Rochester, with Father Peter Vaass officiating. Burial followed at Milton Mills Cemetery.

James Hirshberg
District manager for Eastern Mountain Sports

WARNER - James “Jim” Hirshberg, 41, of Warner, died Monday, April 15, 2002, with his family at his bedside, after a long illness.
He was born March 29, 1961, in Manchester. He graduated from Gould Academy and the University of New Hampshire.
He loved tennis, skiing and hiking. After graduating from UNH in 1988, he joined Eastern Mountain Sports as a store associate. He advanced to district manager, responsible for the stores in the Northern New England district. He was respected for his managerial and leadership skills and admired for his quick wit, his sense of humor and his integrity.
His twin brother, Bill, predeceased him by two months.
Family members include his mother, Louise Hirshberg of Marblehead, Mass.; his father, Howard Hirshberg of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters Nancy Hirshberg of Wolfeboro and Susan Hirshberg of Washington, D.C.; brother and sister-in-law Gary and Meg Hirshberg of Concord; two nephews and a niece; and countless friends.
A memorial service will be held at the new lodge at Mt. Sunapee in Newbury at 2 p.m. today, April 18 (www.mtsunapee.com for directions). Dress will be casual.

Virginia Lamper
Longtime resident of Alton

ALTON - Virginia E. “Ginny” Lamper, 75, of Route 28 South, died Sunday evening, April 14, 2002, at home, after a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 16, 1927, in Gilmanton Iron Works, daughter of Fred and Stella (Patten) Swett. She had lived in Alton for most of her life.
A stitcher, she was employed for 30 years with Bill Freese in Alton, a division of Globe Manufacturing.
Family members include her husband, George F. Lamper, Sr., of Alton; one daughter, Virginia E. “Ginny” Caverly of Alton; three sons, George F. Lamper, Jr., Harland A. Lamper and Fred H. Lamper, all of Alton; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Swett.
The funeral service was April 17 at the Community Church of Alton with the Rev. Peter Bolster, pastor, officiating. Burial followed at New Riverside Cemetery on Route 28 South.

Craig G. Lougee
Former resident of Wolfeboro

PEORIA, Ariz. - Craig G. Lougee, 43, of Peoria, died April 9, 2002.
He was born in Wolfeboro, N.H., and spent his elementary school years in Hampton N.H. He returned to Wolfeboro and spent his high school years there, graduating from Kingswood Regional High School with the class of 1977.
He held a bachelor of arts degree in history from the University of New Hampshire and a master’s of business administration in aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He was one month away from graduating from Chandler-Gilbert College with an AMT degree.
He was also a captain in the Army when he was discharged and was with the 101st Airborne.
Family members include his wife, Allyn Patterson Lougee; his mother, Glenna F. Lougee; sisters Lori Kline, Wendy O’Brien, Angela Paisker and Becky Curran; his grandmother, Gertrude N. Lougee; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Barry N. Lougee, and grandfather, Carl M. Lougee.
Graveside services were held April 15 at Westhampton Memorial Park. Goodbyes were said that morning at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, Glen Allen, Va.

Dorothy MacDonald-Brown
Active in many community organizations

MIDDLEBORO, Mass. - Dorothy H. MacDonald-Brown, 92, of Middleboro, formerly of Melrose and of Brookfield, N.H., died April 11, 2002, at the home of her son, after a brief illness.
She was the widow of James G. MacDonald and Ernest H. Brown.
She was born in Beverly, Mass., daughter of Alonzo Rae and Augusta (Zimmer) MacDonald. She had lived in Melrose for many years and the past 10 years in Brookfield, moving to Middleboro with her son in the last year.
A graduate of Medford High School, she had worked as a nurse’s aide in nursing homes in her younger years.
She had attended First Baptist Church in Melrose and Wakefield Congregational Church in New Hampshire. She had been active in many organizations and in the community where she lived. She loved square dancing and traveling.
Family members include four sons, Ray MacDonald of Rocky Hill, Conn., James MacDonald, Jr., of Middleboro, Bruce MacDonald of San Diego, Calif., and Keith MacDonald of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Mary Mogavero of Melrose; a stepson, Ernest Brown, Jr., of Brookfield; two stepdaughters, Joan Hynes of Wakefield and June Brown-Moore of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Edith Estes of Portland, Maine; 27 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren. She was stepmother of the late Jeannie Barclay.
Services were held April 15 at Egger Funeral Home, Middleboro, Mass. Burial followed at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
