Wilfred J. Lamothe

BERLIN--A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Mr. Wilfred J. Lamothe on Saturday January 24, 2004, at St Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, following recitation of prayers at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home. The main celebrant was Rev. Maurice Lacroix. Co-concelebrants were Rev. John MacKenzie, and Rev. Richard Roberge, including the reading of committal prayers. Interment was in the Mt Calvary Cemetery. The soloist was Patti Berube, and Lance Gorham and Cara Gorham gave the offertory gifts.
The pallbearers included Bob Pelchat, Paul Croteau, Fern Sutton, Maurice Rainville, Raymond Bizier and Romeo Croteau, all members of the Knights of Columbus.
The Honorary Bearers from the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem were: Father Maurice Lacroix, Normand Roy, Lionel Roy, Romeo Therieault, Robert Morrissette, Jean Paul Poirier, Armand Arguin, Robert Baillargeon and George Arsenault.
A delegation from the Knights of Columbus attended they included: Richard Poulin, Raoul Boucher, Norman Gagne, Claude Marquis, Robert Lizzie, Henri Boucher, Donald Bisson. The flag ceremony was preformed by Sergeant Hakenson and Private Winnie, The Military Honor Guard 10th Calvary Division, Fort Drum, NY.

Those family and friends attending from out of town were: daughter Irene Lamothe from Green Valley California, daughter, Jeanette Nichols from Las Vegas, Nevada, daughter JoAnn Gorham and her husband Terry and children, Lance & Cara from Monroe, NH. A sister, Dorothy & her husband Norm Cote from Florida, and numerous cousins, nieces & nephews from throughout the country and Canada. There were a locally numerous friends who attended the mass.

Frederic A. Genesse

BERLIN— A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Mr. Frederic A. Genesse of Berlin on Saturday, March 20, 2004 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, following recitation of prayers at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High St., Berlin, NH. Officiating at the service was Rev. Richard Roberge, who also read the committal prayers. Interment was in St. Kieran Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Raoul Boucher Leo Gagne, Romeo Croteau, Andre Gauthier, Donald Duquette and Robert Pelchat.
Patty Berube served as cantor accompanied by organist Doris Clinch. A beautiful poem “I’m Free” was read in his memory by his son-in-law Raymond Aubut. Father Rich delivered the Eulogy and Raymond Aubut served as lector. Michael Genesse and Kathy Myers presented the offertory gifts and symbolic gifts presented by Raymond, Louise, Christopher and Nicholas Aubut.
Members from the White Mt. Post #2520 Veterans of Foreign War extended full military honors. A delegation from the United States Army from Fort Drum, NY, presented the American flag to his wife.
There were numerous local and out-of-town family members and friends who attended the services from North Carolina, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

George Joseph Henry Perrault

BERLIN--George Joseph Henry Perrault, 76, of Berlin, NH, on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, following recitation of prayers at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High, St., Berlin. Officiating at the service was Rev. Richard Roberge, who also read the committal prayers. Interment will take place in the spring at the St. Kieran Cemetery.
The pall bearers included sons-in-law, Steve Poirier, David Jubert, Brian Pelchat , and nephews Glen Whittemore, John Tucker and Phil Yurechko.
A delegation from the U. S. Army, Fort Drum, NY, attended the services and presented the American flag to his wife, Rita.
There were numerous local and out of town family members and freinds who attended the services from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Washington, New York, Connecticut and Florida.

Yvette D. Frechette

GORHAM--A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Mrs. Yvette D. Frechette on Monday, March 29, 2004 at Holy Family Church, following prayers at the Fleury - Patry Funeral Home 33 Exchange St., Gorham, NH.
The Reverend John MacKenzie officiated and recited committal prayers. The pallbearers were her children and their spouses Yvonne and Roger Bouffard, Normand and Paulette Frechette and Elaine and Eddy L'Heureux. The soloist was Emily Stiles and the organist was Jeanne Theberge. Her granddaughter, Michelle Kearney, delivered the eulogy. The first reading was done by her granddaughter, Sandy Pouliot, and the second reading was by her grandson, Peter L'Heureux. The offertory gifts were brought up by her daughters Yvonne and Elaine. Interment followed at the Holy Family Cemetery. Several relatives and friends attended the funeral from NH, ME, MA, PA and Canada.

Gloria Jean Bellemore

BERLIN, NH--Miss Gloria J. Bellemore, 60, of 640 First Avenue, Berlin passed away Sunday evening, April 25, 2004 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital after being stricken ill while returning from Lewiston, Maine. Miss Bellemore was born in Berlin on February 4, 1944, the daughter of Roland and Mina Mae (Downes) Bellemore, and has been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Berlin High School with the Class of 1962. She had worked for Brown Company, James River Corp., Crown Vantage, American Pulp and Paper and Fraser-Nexfor Corporation as a transportation and payroll clerk for 42 years. Miss Bellemore was a member of the Salvation Army in Berlin.
Members of the family include her mother, Mina Mae Bellemore of Berlin; her brother, Ronald and his wife Helen Bellemore of Lewiston, Maine; her sister, Faith Desgroseilliers and her fiancee Don Kingsley of Berlin; one niece, Amy Bellemore; one nephew, Adam and his wife Stapanie Bellemore, four aunts, Minnie Oleson, Lorraine Downes, Doris Norton and Florence Quiram and her husband Ray; many cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 29, at 11 a.m. at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin with interment in the New City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Anyone who wishes may contribute to the Activity Fund at the St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home in her memory.

Nicole S. Cote

BERLIN--Ms. Nicole S. Cote, age 19, of 416 Burgess St., Berlin, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday April 24, 2004 off Route #110 in Berlin, NH.
She was born on October 9, 1984 in Berlin, NH, the daughter of Jean and Diane Frechette Cote.
A resident of Berlin, NH, and Milan all of her life, Nicole was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. She had been employed as a waitress at the Yokohama Restaurant in Gorham. She was a graduate of Berlin High School, the Class of 2002, and also had attended Newbury College in South Carolina.
She is survived by her father, Jean Cote and fiancée Diane Rice of Canaan, VT, and Milan, NH; two sisters, Josee Robinson and husband Roy of Milan, NH, and Celine Cote of Hampton, NH; her maternal grandparents, Louis Frechette and Emerentienne (Leclerc) Frechette of East Hereford, PQ, Canada; her paternal grandmother, Pauline Cote of West Stewartstown, NH; two nieces, Adrianna Robinson and Delaney Robinson of Milan, NH. There several aunts and uncles.
She was predeceased by her mother, Diane F. (Frechette) Cote, who died June 9, 1998. She was also predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Oscar Cote in 2000.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May t, at l0 a.m. at the St. Albert’s Church in West Stewartstown, NH. Interment will be in the St. Albert’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours, family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service. The Fleury-Patry Funeral Home of Berlin and Gorham are caring for final arrangements.

Juliette E.Fitzmorris

BERLIN--Mrs. Juliette Eva (Landry) Fitzmorris, age 90, passed away on Sunday April 25, 2004 at the St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home in Berlin, N.H. where she had been residing since June of 1998.
She was born on July 12, 1913 in Berlin, NH, the daughter of Charles and Roseana Ouellette Landry.
A resident of Milan, for many years, Mrs. Fitzmorris was a member of St. Kieran Parish, now known as Good Shepherd Parish. She was a member of the church choir, and also belonged to the Altar Guild. She was a member of R.S.V.P. and the Merry Makers singing group. Prior to her retirement several years ago, she had been employed as a an assembly worker at the Granite State Rubber Company.
Her husband, Philip Fitzmorris died in 1984.
She is survived by five sons: Vernon Fitzmorris of Penacook, NH., Bernard Fitzmorris of Barnstead, NH, Gerald Fitzmorris of Milan, NH, Dennis Fitzmorris of Berlin, NH, and Michael Fitzmorris of Berlin, NH; one daughter: Madeleine Orcillo of Prospect, Connecticut; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Albert Landry of Oakville, Connecticut; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Binder of Wallingford, Connecticut, and Mrs. Laurette Gelinas of Fort Charlotte, Florida. There are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Roger Fitzmorris and Normand Fitzmorris and three daughters, Roseana Albert, Janet Paradis, and Priscilla Moore.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 28, at 1 p.m. at the St. Anne of Good Shepherd Church. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours are on Wednesday, April 28, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High St. Berlin.

Signe Laurhammer

BERLIN--Mrs. Signe (Paulson) Laurhammer, 96, formerly of 8 Granite Street, Berlin, NH, passed away Saturday evening, April 24, 2004 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She was born in Berlin of December 8, 1907, the daughter of Martin and Johanna (Srenson) Paulson and had lived in the north country most of her life.
Members of the family include a son, Einar Laurhammer of Jefferson and El Paso, Texas, and a daughter Shirley Gagnon of North Wales, Pennsylavania; five grandchildren, Steven, Ingrid, Carla, Eric and Faith; two nieces Gloria Orr and June Jensen, two nephews Melvin Johnson and Philip Jensen and several cousins.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. Interment will be in the Old City Cemetery. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Georgette B. Raymond

LEBANON, NH--Mrs. Georgette B. (Roy) Raymond, age 74, of 524 Goebel St., Berlin, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday April 24, 2004 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, where she had been admitted as a patient.
She was born February 19, 1930 in Windsor, PQ, Canada, the daughter of Henry and Berthe Francis Roy. A resident of Berlin, NH, for most of her adult life, Mrs. Raymond was a member of the Guardian Angel Parish, now known as Good Shepherd Parish. She had been employed as co-owner and operator of Paul’s Auto Body Shop in Berlin. She greatly enjoyed cooking, her family was her life. She will be missed by those who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Jean-Paul Raymond of Berlin, NH; four sons, Luc Raymond and wife Beverly of Berlin, NH., Yves Raymond and wife Carol of Berlin, NH, Claude Raymond and wife Terry of Gorham, NH, and Jean Raymond and wife Marguerita of Providence, Rhode Island; four daughters, Claire Ramsey and husband Guy of Berlin, NH, Joan Raymond of Berlin, NH, Lucy Lamoureux and husband Paul of Berlin, NH., and Sylvie Raymond of Bethlehem, NH; there are 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mona Saurette of St. Claude, PQ, Canada. There are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Francine P. Belanger who died August 31, 1996; and three brothers, Roger, Roland, and Raymond Roy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 29, at 11 a.m. at St. Anne of Good Shepherd Church. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours are on Wednesday, April 28, from 2:30 to 4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m. at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High St., Berlin, NH, 03570, using School St. Entrance.

Lloyd E. Oleson

BERLIN--Mr. Lloyd E. Oleson, 74, formerly of 1874 Riverside Drive, Berlin, NH, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2004 at the the Coos County Nursing Home after a long illness. He was born in Berlin, February 16, 1930, the son of Paul and Hilda (Knudson) Oleson and was a graduate of Berlin High School with the Class of 1948. He was a US Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War. After his Navy service he was employed by the US Goverment as Post Engineer at the White Sands Missile Range for the Department of the Army at White Sands, New Mexico. In 1989 he returned to Berlin. Mr. Oleson was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW in Berlin.
Members of the family include a brother Richard Oleson of Las Cruces, New Mexico; a grandson Michael Farrington of Massachusetts, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Marion J. (Wood) Oleson and a son Douglas Farrington.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin with interment in St. Kieran Cemetery.
