Raymond L. Kingston
Died: Wednesday, May 04, 2005
Age: 81

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Raymond L. Kingston, 81, of Life Care Center, formerly of Seekonk, Mass., Dexter, Maine and Wolfeboro, died Wednesday, May 4, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Mass. He was the husband of Ruth E. (Hodson) Kingston. Raymond and his wife celebraterd their 59th wedding anniversary on April 27.

Born in 1923 in Pawtucket, R.I., a son of the late Emile and Abby (Cloutier) Kirouac, he lived in Seekonk for most of the last 40 years. He owned and operated Eastern Construction Co., of Pawtucket, before retiring. He was the Building Inspector in Seekonk during the mid-1970s. He was a member of the Darlington Congregational Church, Pawtucket, R.I., and a member of the Rhode Island Carpenters Union #342 for many years. He was also active with the Boy Scouts of America and served as a Troop Leader. He was an Army combat veteran of World War II and served in the European Theater.

Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Robert V. and Ross H. Kingston, both of Seekonk; Rod D. Kingston of Middletown, R.I.; two daughters, Raye Kingston-Kramer of Warwick, R.I., and Robin A. Kingston of Wolfeboro; 11 grandchildren; Sherry Hinton, Corrina, Matthew Kingston, Brandy Kingston, Tabitha MacKenzie, Melissa Julian, Jason Kingston, Casey and Hallie Kingston and Nicolas and Stephanie McNally and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by five sisters and three brothers.

His memorial service was held Saturday, May 7 at the Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home in Pawtucket. Donations in Kingston's memory can be made to the Food Pantry at Darlington Congregational Church, 73 Downes Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02861.

Richard L. Dore
Died: Monday, May 02, 2005
Age: 70

TUFTONBORO - Richard L. Dore, 70, of Ledge Hill Road, died Monday, May 2, at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro. Dore was born Oct. 2, 1934 in Wolfeboro, the son of the late Leon and Mildred (Davis) Dore. He had lived in Tuftonboro all of his life and had attended Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro.

Dore worked as a self-employed carpenter in the Tuftonboro area for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara (Hulshuk) Dore, Tuftonboro; a son, Larry Dore, Tuftonboro; a daughter, Linda Dalton, Tuftonboro; a granddaughter, Stacey Kendal, Tuftonboro; a great grandson Bradey Kendal, Tuftonboro; two sisters, Ruby Gray, Rochester, and Eunice Hodgdon, Tuftonboro; nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be today (Thursday), from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lord Funeral Home, Wolfeboro. Funeral services will be Friday, May 6, at 10 a.m., at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Townhouse Cemetery, Tuftonboro.

Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Thomas Adam Moore
Died: Thursday, April 28, 2005
Age: 40

BARRINGTON - Thomas Moore, 40, died Thursday, April 28.

Born Oct. 28, 1964 in Wolfeboro, he was the son of David and Susan (Mattison) Moore.

Moore was currently attending UNH. He was taking social studies courses with a major in history. He was a veteran serving in the Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post 114 and a member of the VFW. He was also a member of the Law Enforcement Advisor, the Youth Center Committee in Wolfeboro and worked closely with the Special Olympics.

Before moving to Barrington he enjoyed a career in law enforcement with the Wolfeboro Police Department. He loved serving his country and was very patriotic. He was also a family orientated man, and enjoyed this quote from John F. Kennedy, "Ask any man in this country what he did to make his life worth while and he will say, I served."

Survivors include his father, David Moore; his wife Sherri; one son, Adam Moore; four daughters, Crystal, Tabitha, Madison and Savanna Moore; two step-daughters, Kristen Nedeau , Ashley Sample; one step-son David Moore; two brothers, Mark and Shaun Moore; and one sister, Becky Tee. He was pre-deceased by his mother Susan Moore.

Calling hours were Tuesday from 12 to 1 p.m. with a funeral service following at the Purdy Memorial Chapel in Lee with Rev. John Newman officiating.

Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery in Barrington.

John R. Sanders
Died: Thursday, April 28, 2005
Age: 82

OSSIPEE - John R. Sanders, 82, of Ossipee, died suddenly in Rochester on Thursday, April 28. He died after surgery but as a result of complications from surgery 23 years earlier.

He was born Aug. 2, 1922 in Cambridge, Mass., the son of Thomas Henry and Anna Gertrude Schulz Sanders.

Educated in the Cambridge schools, at Browne and Nichols, and Dartmouth College, he interrupted his education to serve in the Army in the Pacific Theater in WW II. He returned to Dartmouth, finishing in 1946 and went on to the Harvard Business School, completing his MBA in 1950. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth, in 1951.

While an Assistant Professor at Lowell Technical Institute, he was a consultant for Pondview Cancer Research Center. He was an administrator for J.J. Martin Moving Company, and treasurer of the Graff Company, both in the Boston area. In 1961 he moved to his beloved Ossipee hilltop, custom making parts for antique pianos for Tuner's Supply in Somerville. He served as Town Clerk and Tax Collector in Ossipee and was Ossipee Moderator for many years. He could fix anything.

He was a firefighter for almost 50 years, beginning in Tyngsboro, Mass. He volunteered in the Ossipee Corner Fire Department, answering calls until a week before his death. He served as Chief and was always an educator and driver trainer.

He enjoyed reading history, canoeing, fishing, fly tying, and snowshoeing.

In his later years he headed down every morning for two copies of the local paper so that he and Libby could compete on the crossword puzzle.

He leaves his wife Libby, his sister Mary, of State College, Pa., his sister-in-law Virginia, of Richmond, Va., his beloved daughter, Susan, his admiring son-in-law, Patrick, and the three darlings of his life, Kathy, Elizabeth and Molly of Tuftonboro, as well as nieces, nephews, and their children to whom he was like a father. He will be sorely missed.

He hated ritual and formal occasions, and asked for no funeral. And, please, no flowers. A hilltop gathering in his memory, whether he'd like it or not, will take place during the annual family reunion time in August.

His most recent interest was planning for a new fire station in Ossipee Corner. Memorial donations may be made to the Ossipee Corner Fire Department, P.O. Box 415, Ossipee, NH 03864 for their land and station fund.

Thomas Raymond Randall
Died: Thursday, April 28, 2005
Age: 75

New Durham - Thomas Raymond Randall, age 75 of Old Bay Road in New Durham, died suddenly at home on Thursday April 28, 2005.

Born June 28, 1928 in Rochester, he was a son of the late Charles H. & Ruth A. (Labby) Randall. He resided in New Durham all of his life.

Randall retired from the Town of New Durham, where he was employed with the road crew for many years

Randall loved fishing, hunting, and working in his garden.

The widower of the late Carrie Elizabeth (Woodard) Randall, Randall is survived by 2 brothers: John E. Randall of Alton, and Roswell R. "Joe" Randall of New Durham. Randall is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by 3 brothers: Charles H. Randall Jr., Roger M. Randall and Samuel E. Randall.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday May 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street in Farmington. Calling hours are prior to the service from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at John C. Shirley Cemetery in New Durham.

John "Sonny" Borella
Died: Friday, April 22, 2005
Age: 80

MOULTONBOROUGH - John "Sonny" Borella Jr., 80 of Severance Rd., died April 22 at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro.

Born in Everett, Mass. March 31, 1925, the son of the late John and Sarah (Steves) Borella Sr., he had lived in Moultonborough for 20 years, vacationing there for more than 50 years and previously living in Everett, Mass.

Borella worked as a welder for Market Forge Company in Everett for 44 years.

He was a communicant of St. Katharine Drexel Church in Wolfeboro.

A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, he was predeceased by his wife Josephine Jeanne (O'Connor) Borella in 1998. He is survived by two sons, John of Moultonborough, and Joseph, and also by four grandchildren.

Calling hours were Sunday, April 24, at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service 85 Mill St., Wolfeboro, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday at St. Katharine Drexel/St. Cecilia's Church on South Main St. in Wolfeboro.

Beverly A. Willard
Died: Wednesday, April 20, 2005
Age: 84

MELVIN VILLAGE - Beverly A. Willard, 84, died April 20 at Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro, after a brief illness. She was born October 10, 1920 in Jaffery, to Phillip Bean and Aldora Gelinas Bean. She graduated from Spaulding High School and received her Registered Nurse degree from Massachusetts Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1942.

She is predeceased by her first husband, Herbert G. Person of Moultonborough, who died in 1955, and her second husband, Emery Willard of Melvin Village, who died in 1975.

She leaves a daughter, Cynthia A. Gunn, three grandsons; William Pollini, Todd Pollini and Christopher Gunn; three step-grandchildren; Steve Gunn, Toni Gunn and Karen Gunn; two great-grandchildren; William and Jillian Pollini. She also leaves her sisters; Barbara Bean, Phyllis Hunter and Shirley Gibbons.

Willard was a member of the Moultonborough Grange for more than 50 years, and a member of the Hikers of Melvin Village since 1946.

Memorial services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Hikers Scholarship Fund, PO Box 102, Melvin Village, NH 03850.

Beverly A. Willard
Died: Wednesday, April 20, 2005

MELVIN VILLAGE - There will be a memorial service this Sunday, June 26, for Beverly A. Willard, who died April 20, 2005.

The service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Melvin Village Community Church.

Friends and family are welcome. A reception will follow at 458 Center Street, Wolfeboro.
