Olivia F. Sibson

PORTSMOUTH - Olivia F. (Duranleau) Sibson, 80, of 3 Chatham St., died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at her home.

Born June 12, 1920, in Claremont, N.H., she was the daughter of the late Victor and Lodina (Sylvester) Duranleau. She moved to Portsmouth in 1954, from Barre, Vt. She worked closely with her husband in their business most of her life.

She was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

She was the wife of the late Howard W. Sibson, who died in 1997.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Patterson and her husband, Wilcox, of Portola Valley, Calif.; a brother, Leo Duranleau and his wife, Marie, of Claremont; three nieces, Cherylyn Patrylak, Cathy Chamberlain and Susan Chase; a nephew, Leo Duranleau; several great-nieces and great-nephews; special friends Michael and Kim Haberkorn; and numerous close friends.

SIBSON - Olivia F. Sibson, 80, of 3 Chatham St., died Aug. 17, 2000. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Visiting hours 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Farrell Funeral Home, 684 State St., Portsmouth. Burial in Central Cemetery in Rye. Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church, 98 Summer St., Portsmouth, NH 03801.

Mitchell Kimon Fulis

PORTSMOUTH - Mitchell Kimon Fulis, 81, of 71 Kensington Road, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at his home.

Born Sept. 3, 1918, in Portsmouth, he was the son of the late Kimon Mitchell and Anastasia (Karippy) Fulis. He attended and graduated high school in Athens, Greece, and was a graduate of the N.H. Vocational Technical School, formerly of Portsmouth.

He had been employed as a machinist for Sanders Associates in Nashua; for Eastern Air Devices in Dover; and before his retirement, he was employed with Temco in Danvers, Mass.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Portsmouth, served as its council past president, and was a member of St. John's Lodge No. 1 F&AM of Portsmouth.

During World War II, he was known as a hero in the Greek Resistance.

A master machinist, he loved working with his hands. He also enjoyed collecting coins, loved art, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved gardening, at which he took great pride.

He was the husband of Constantina (Chrysanthou) Fulis.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two children, Irene Mitchell Kouloungis of Lowell, Mass., and Kimon Mitchell Fulis of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren, Niclis Kouloungis of Lowell, Constance Kouloungis Christakos of Lowell, Sofia Kouloungis of Manhattan, N.Y., Pamela Kenyon Webber of Somersworth, N.H., Irene Kenyon Ducharme of Dracut, Mass., Melissa Fulis of Portsmouth, Sofia Fulis of Portsmouth, and Michael Kimon Fulis of Portsmouth; three great-grandchildren, Krystal Webber of Somersworth, Alexa Christakos of Lowell, and Brandon Price of Dracut; two nephews, Steven Lalas and Kimon Lalas, both of Rochester, N.H.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Efrosine Fulis Kenyon.

FULIS - Mr. Mitchell Kimon Fulis, 81, of 71 Kensington Road, Portsmouth, died Aug. 17, 2000. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 40 Andrew Jarvis Drive, Portsmouth. Friends invited. Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad St., Portsmouth, with Masonic services by St. John's Lodge No. 1 F&AM at 5:45 p.m. Monday. Wake services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Donations in memory of Mr. Fulis may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund, 40 Andrew Jarvis Drive, Portsmouth, NH 03801; or to The Masonic Home, 813 Beech St., Manchester, NH 03104. Arrangements by J. Verne Wood Funeral Home.

Odis A. McGee

NEWINGTON - Odis A. "Bill" McGee, 73, of 104 Little Bay Road, died suddenly at home Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000.

Born in Lax, Ga., May 16, 1927, he was the son of the late Rosa (Jones) and Jesse McGee.

He served in the Navy during the World War II, seeing action in Okinawa and Iwo Jima, and participated in the occupation of Japan. He was a 50-year member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars including a term as Senior Vice Commander of the Kittery post.

He worked for Coleman Oil Co. for many years. He later owned and operated McGee's Transport, retiring in 1988.

He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, looking forward with great anticipation to his first moose hunt this fall. He took a lot of pleasure in his garden.

He is survived by his wife Rosaline (Bronzetti) of 54 years; two sons, Allen and his wife, Mary, of Portsmouth, and Kenneth and his wife Carolyn of Eliot; one daughter, Wanda Jessee of Dover; grandchildren Colin, Meghan, Kenneth, Stephen and his wife, Rachel, and Julie McGee, and also Raven, Chelsea, and Morgan Jessee; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leroy R. of Plymouth, Fla., and Herman E. of Portsmouth; two sisters, Emma Pearl of Ocilla, Ga., Jewelene McCook of Broxton, Ga.; and his close friend Robert Greenier Sr. of Newington. He was predeceased by his brothers Samuel, and Jesse, and sister Hazel.

He was very proud of his family and was a big part of many people's lives. He will be greatly missed.

Bradley P. Pridham

YORK BEACH - Bradley P. Pridham, 67, of Ridge Road, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at York Hospital.

Born Nov. 19, 1932, in Portsmouth, he was the son of William H. and Eleanor (Moore) Pridham and attended Portsmouth High School.

He served in the Navy on the USS Monrovia during the Korean Conflict.

He had been employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 29 years, retiring as a pipe insulator in Shop 07.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 168 of Portsmouth, the American Legion Frank E. Booma Post No. 6 and the Portsmouth Elks Lodge No. 97.

He was predeceased by a brother, William H. Pridham Jr., who died in 1957.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille (Dion) Pridham of York Beach; one daughter, Deborah A. Pridham of Milton, Mass.; a grandson, Michael Pridham of Portland, Maine; two stepsons, Michael E. Morin of Poland, Maine, and Thomas R. Morin of Marietta, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Arline Rovnak of York Harbor and Tina L. Desmarais of Mooretown, N.Y.; six step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and aunts and cousins.

PRIDHAM - Bradley P. Pridham, 67, of Ridge Road, York Beach, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, in St. Christopher Church, York Street, York; Interment in First Parish Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, at the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Road, York. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Service, 42 Brickyard Court., York, ME 03909.

Ann M. Desotelle

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Ann M. Desotelle, 88, died Aug. 4, 2000, at Indian River Memorial Hospital after a prolonged illness.

Born April 23, 1912, in Portsmouth, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Hannah Sweeney.

She was retired from General Electric Co. in Somersworth.

She was the wife of the late Walter J. Desotelle Sr., who died in 1971.

Survivors include three sons, Walter J. Desotelle Jr. and his wife, Judy, of North Hampton, Paul Desotelle of Ft. Pierce, Fla., and Philip Desotelle and his wife, Diane, of Belmont, N.Y.; one daughter, Barbara Weston of Portsmouth; six grandchildren, Michael Weston, Mark Desotelle, Susan Winters, Jeffrey Desotelle, Lisa Desotelle and Patrick Desotelle; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Julia Buckley and her husband, Robert, of New Castle; and two nieces, Sheryl and Christine Weston of New Castle.

DESOTELLE - Ann M. Desotelle, 88, of Fort Pierce, Fla., died Aug. 4, 2000. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in her memory to Portsmouth Home Health (Visiting Nurse Association), 95 Albany St., Unit 11, Portsmouth, NH 03801. Indian River Cremations Inc., Vero Beach, Fla., provided cremation services.

Dorothy Stevens

DURHAM - Dorothy (Reid) Stevens, 85, formerly of Church Hill Apartments, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, after a long illness. She died at Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth, where she had resided for the past seven years.

Born March 28, 1915, in Bethlehem, N.H., she was the daughter of George and Catherine (McCann) Reid.

She was a 1937 graduate of the University of New Hampshire and was a member of the American Association of University Women.

She was also an active member of St. George's Episcopal Church, Durham.

She was the widow of Samuel Stevens, who died in 1998.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan James of Somerville, Mass., and Jean McPeak of Hanoi, Vietnam; four grandsons, Robert James of Fairfax, Calif.; Gregory James of Pacific Grove, Calif.; Nathan Samuel Webster of Stratham; and Mark Webster of Arcata, Calif.; a great-granddaughter, Lindsey Madison James of Pacific Grove, Calif.; a great-grandson, Bryce Gregory James of Pacific Grove, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

STEVENS - Dorothy (Reid) Stevens, 85, formerly of Church Hill Apts., Durham, died Aug. 17, 2000. There are no calling hours. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Durham Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Those who desire, may send memorials in her name to a favorite charity. The Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter St., Newmarket, is assisting with the arrangements.

Angelina Fitzpatrick

EXETER - Angelina (Ann) Fitzpatrick, 76, of 3 Colcord Pond Drive, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.

Born Dec. 15, 1923, in Cambridge, Mass., she was the daughter of George and Frances (Wontroba) Vargeletis.

A graduate of Somerville High School, she lived for many years in Somerville and Malden, Mass. She moved to Exeter in 1987.

She worked for the Data Printer Co. in Malden, in the electronic repair department, and later worked for Analog Devices in Cambridge.

Active in the Exeter Senior Center and its knitting club, she sang at all the parties and gatherings there.

She was also a Rockingham volunteer.

She was the wife of Robert F. Fitzpatrick of Exeter for 49 years.

In addition to her husband, survivors include one son, Robert G. Fitzpatrick of Malden, Mass.; two daughters, Celeste E. Cohen of Lynn, Mass., and Anne J. Rebello of Medford, Mass.; four grandchildren; one brother, Dennis Vargeletis of Chelmsford, Mass.; four sisters, Esther Linpinski of Illinois, Honorette Morgan of Exeter, Christine Sonis of Nahant, Mass., and Lucille Uguccioni of Dennis Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

FITZPATRICK - Angelina (Ann) Fitzpatrick, of 3 Colcord Pond Drive, Exeter, died Aug. 16, 2000. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, Mass. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday (today) at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. Flowers are acceptable. If desired, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688.

Edith Leota Sewall

EPPING - Edith Leota Sewall, 90, of 218 Main St. died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood following a brief period of illness.

Born Edith Leota Percy on May 10, 1910, in Newport, Vt., she was the daughter of Carl L. Percy and Gladys M. (Dailey) Percy.

In Epping, she was known as the Avon Lady, having sold Avon products for more than 51 years.

She was always busy serving the community in various ways.

In 1930 she joined the Grange in West Peabody, Mass., as well as Mass. State Grange. She lived in several communities over the years, including Concord, N.H., and Exeter, before moving to Epping in 1948.

In 1949 she joined Rockingham Grange No. 183 in Epping, where she held various offices including master and lecturer, serving in the latter for more than 30 years.

For more than 25 years she was secretary of Gov. Bachelder Pomona Grange. she later transferred to East Rockingham Pomona.

She was also a longtime member of New Hampshire State Grange and National Grange.

She had been noble grand of Fern Rebekah Lodge. She was a 4H leader for many years.

A member of Epping Community Church since 1950, she taught Sunday school and had been president of the Ladies Aid.

She managed the hot lunch program for the Epping school system for many years.

She was the wife of the late Walter Low, who died in 1963, and the late Edgar Sewall, who died in 1979.

Survivors include a son, Robert K. Low and his wife, Barbara M. (Shaffer) Low, of Epping; two granddaughters, Sharon L. Allard of Roswell, Ga., and Susan K. O'Connor of Newburyport, Mass.; a grandson, Kenneth Robert Low of Tallahassee, Fla.; two great-granddaughters, Jillian G. Allard and Marissa O'Connor; a sister, Elsie Coveno of Ayer, Mass.; a sister-in-law, Lillian Merrill of Exeter; two nieces, Anita Boisseau of Ayer, and Barbara Becker of South Carolina; and a nephew, William Coveno of Chelmsford, Mass.

Sylvia Brown

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. - Sylvia (Levine) Brown, 78, of 1001 Colony Point Circle, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at the Hospice House at Memorial Pembroke.

Born May 16, 1922, in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ann Levine. She was a resident of Portsmouth for more than 44 years.

She had been employed as a bookkeeper for M&S Food and Vending Service.

She was a member of Temple Israel in Portsmouth; a life member of the Hadassah; a member of the Women's American ORT; member of B'nai Brith; and former co-president of the Sisterhood of Temple Israel.

She was the wife of Martin Brown.

In addition to her husband, survivors include three sons, Barry Brown of New York, Jeffrey Brown of Los Angeles, and Kevin Brown of New York; one daughter, Andrea Gray of Sharon, Mass.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces.

BROWN - Mrs. Sylvia (Levine) Brown, 78, of 1001 Colony Point Circle, Pembroke Pines, Fla., died Aug. 15, 2000. Funeral services will be at noon Sunday at Temple Israel, 200 State St., Portsmouth. Friends invited. Donations in her memory may be made to the Temple Israel Improvement Fund, 200 State St., Portsmouth, NH 03801. Arrangements by J. Verne Wood Funeral Home.
