Iva Doris Gray, 82, of Fryeburg, died Oct. 2, 2001, at Bridgton Health Care in Bridgton, Maine.
Mrs. Gray was the daughter of Raymond E. and Sarah (Heath) Ballard. She was born in East Conway and graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1937. She lived in Kearsarge for 40 years and then moved back to East Conway in 1977.
Mrs. Gray and her husband owned and operated Hub Fruit in North Conway for many years. Aside from her business, she had a great love for horse racing and owned many horses.
Her family includes her daughter, Nancy L. Keaten, of Fryeburg, Maine; and three grandchildren, Erika K. Frank, of Portsmouth, and Daniel G. Keaten and Derrick D. Keaten, both of Fryeburg; three sisters, Pearl Coleman, of Kennebunk, Maine, and Mary Fallen and Doris Cox, both of North Conway; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lester M. Gray, in 1985; her son, Peter B. Gray, in 1994; as well as two sisters, Louise Allen and Lucille Johnson, and two brothers, Harland and Dennis Ballard.
There will be a graveside service on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Kearsarge Cemetery, with the Rev. William R. Stockhaus officiating. There will be no visiting hours. The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.

Asia Russell, 8, of Bartlett, died Sept. 29, 2001, in Wakefield following an automobile accident.
A native of the Philippines, she came to the United States in August and had been a student in the second grade at Josiah Bartlett Elementary School for the past two weeks.
She was the sister of Mercedes Russell and the niece of Sonia White, who also died in the accident.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the First Church of Christ Congregational in North Conway, with the Rev. G. Alan Baxter, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Bartlett Village Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church. Donations may be sent to the White family, P.O. Box 57, Bartlett, NH 03812.
The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.

Ian J. White, 16, of Bartlett, died Sept. 29, 2001, in Wakefield, following an automobile accident.
Born in Lowell, Mass., he lived in Lawrence, Mass., for three years before moving to the Mount Washington Valley in 1990.
He was a sophomore at Kennett High School in Conway and had worked at Dunkin Donuts in Glen.
The family includes his father, Jeffrey D. White of Bartlett, and his mother, Cheryl L. James of North Conway; two brothers, Cory D. White and Bradley R. White, both of Bartlett; a step-brother, David James and a step-sister, Meredith James, both of Center Conway; his maternal grandparents, Nelson Dutton and Judith Mullen, both of North Chelmsford, Mass.; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Patricia White, of Chelmsford, Mass., and Lorraine Bradley of Salisbury, Mass.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the First Church of Christ Congregational in North Conway, with the Rev. G. Alan Baxter, pastor, officiating. Sonia M. White, 38, of Bartlett, died Sept. 29, 2001, following an automobile accident in Wakefield. She was born in the Philippines and came to the United States five years ago.
Mrs. White had been working for the past two years as a hostess and waitress at the Peking in North Conway, until the time of her death.
Her family includes her husband, Jeffrey D. White; two stepsons, Cory D. and Bradley R. White; six siblings of the Philippines; her father, Santiago Manera; and her stepmother, Eda Manera, both of whom are from the Philippines.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the First Church of Christ Congregational in North Conway, with the Rev. G. Alan Baxter, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Bartlett Village Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church.

Mercedes Russell, 11, of Bartlett, died Sept. 29, 2001, in Wakefield following an automobile accident.
A native of the Philippines, she came to the Untied States in August and had been a student in the fifth grade at Josiah Bartlett Elementary School for the past two weeks.
She was the sister of Asia Russell and the niece of Sonia White, who also died in the accident.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the First Church of Christ Congregational in North Conway with the Rev. G. Alan Baxter, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Bartlett Village Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church. Donations may be sent to The White Family, P.O. Box 57, Bartlett, NH 03812.

OSSIPEE - Rose (Costanza) Graziano-Martins, 89, of Ossipee, formerly of Somerville, Mass., died Oct. 2, 2001, at Mountain View Nursing Home in Ossipee.
She was born April 20, 1911, in Boston. She was the wife of the late John Martins; mother of Armando Graziano, of Somerville, Mass., Anna Doerrer and her husband, Stanley, of New Hampshire, and William Graziano and his fiancee Debra, of Dracut, Mass.; grandmother of Julie Haggerty and her husband, Kenneth, Joseph Fitzpatrick and his wife, Lynn, Michael Fitzpatrick, John Fitzpatrick and his wife, Michelle, Andrea Doerrer and Kara Graziano; great grandmother of Vikki and Michael Haggerty, Jordan and Kayla Fitzpatrick and Craig Medeiros.
Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Cota-Struzziero-McKenna Funeral Home in Somerville, Mass. Funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, with a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 264 Washington Street (Union Square) in Somerville.
Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Boston.
Donations in Rose's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

LYNN, Mass. - William Fabrizio, 86, of Lynn, Mass., died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Mary B. (McCarron) Fabrizio.
Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Ferdinando and Marguerita DiFabrizio. He was a lifelong resident of Lynn, graduating from Lynn English High, class of 1934, where he was captain of the football team, and Wentworth Institute in Boston. He was offered a football scholarship at Boston College, which he declined.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, where he was awarded the World War II Victory Medal.
He worked for 39 years at General Electric as a stationary engineer, and retired in 1976 as manager of the power plant.
He was a 60-year member of the Gannon Golf Club, a member of the Victoria Rocci Post in Beverly, Mass., the Elfum Society, an usher and communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield, Mass., and a member of the Massachusetts Electric Bowling League. An avid golfer, he had seven holes and one, and shot his age or better over 40 times. He also enjoyed dancing, tennis, painting, sculpting and reading.
Mr. Fabrizio leaves two sons, William and his wife Ruth Ann of Bartlett, and Thomas and his wife Connie of Lynn; a sister, Evelyn, of Malden, Mass.; a companion, Camille Patti of Peabody, Mass.; and four grandchildren, William and Susan of Bartlett, and Scott and Cindi of Lynn.
He was the brother of the later Harry, Frederick and Hugo Fabrizio.
The funeral was held from the Solimine, Landergan and Rhodes Funeral Home in Lynn on Friday, Sept. 28, followed by a funeral mass in St. Pius V Church in Lynn. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn. Memorial donations may be made to the Francis Oulmet Fund, 190 Park Road, Weston MA 02493.

Bertha M. (Bourinot) Pizzano, of Chelsea, Mass., died Oct. 1, 2001, after a long illness.
She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore F. Pizzano.
Ms. Pizzano is survived by her son, Richard C. and his wife Grace of Rye and Hart's Location; granddaughter Heidi Cady and her husband Michael of North Reading, Mass. and Rye; great-grandsons Daniel, age 8, and Jeffrey, age 10; and her sister-in-law Yvette (Dion) Pizzano of Revere, Mass. She was also sister of the late Ernestine McCafferty of Watertown, Mass., and the late Rita Hede of Kingston. She will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered, and relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend the funeral from the Anthony Memorial Funeral Home, 157 Washington Ave., in Chelsea on Friday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. The funeral will be followed by a funeral mass in St. Rose Church, 600 Broadway, Chelsea at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with interment in Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.
Visiting hours will be held at the Anthony Memorial on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Parking is in the rear of the funeral home.
Because of Bertha's lifelong compassion for and love of animals, in lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to the Merrimack Feline Rescue Society, 91 Bridge Road (Route 1), Salisbury, MA or the New England Home for Little Wanderers.

GLEN - Granville W. "Curt" Curtis, 73, of Jericho Road, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Salisbury, Conn., on Jan. 23, 1928, the son of the late Granville W. and Zille (Eldridge) Curtis.
Mr. Curtis was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, serving as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific and Asia from 1945-49. He joined the reserves for 10 years but was recalled for active duty in October of 1950 through July of 1952 during the Korean Conflict in Antrac Crewman. He also served as a drill instructor for the second Lt. P.L.C., Marine Corps School in Quantico, Va.
He joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 921, in Portsmouth until it merged into Local 1996, and he worked for 22 years as a carpenter millwright, cabinet making, retiring in 1985 due to a disability.
He later worked as a field supervisor for the Rockingham County Community Action Program helping out in their winterization program, and he was the first New Hampshire state-certified energy auditor. In his earlier years, he was employed as a guard at the Portsmouth Naval Prison.
He was a longtime resident of Hampton Falls, moving to Glen in 1990.
Mr. Curtis was a member of the National Rifle Association, VFW Post 8810 and American Legion Post 0043 and served on the board of directors for the Self-Help Housing Program. He also enjoyed repairing and refinishing antique furniture.
He was the husband of Ethel L. (Magrath) Curtis for 42 years.
In addition to his wife, family members include three sons, Bryan L. Curtis and his wife, Ruth, of Glen, Bruce Curtis and his wife, Donna, of Newmarket, and Granville W. Curtis Jr., and his wife, Tracy, of Dover; one daughter, Irene Curtis of Dover; one stepdaughter, Donna J. Parsons, of Simi Valley, Calif.; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three brothers, Wilbur Curtis of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Frank Curtis, of Red Hook, N.Y., and Elliot Curtis, of Millbrook, N.Y.; two sisters, Frances Curtis, of Germantown, N.Y., and Shirley Cardinal, of Copake, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Remick and Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call at the funeral home Wednesday for 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, Mass. 01701.
