FRANK H. LOGAN
GOFFSTOWN – Frank H. Logan, Jr., 64, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Laurel Center Genesis Healthcare after a lengthy illness.
Born in Malden, Mass., on June 10, 1940, he was the son of Frank H. Sr. and Claire H. (Grant) Logan. He was raised and educated in South Boston, Mass., and resided in Medford, Mass., for 28 years prior to moving to Goffstown in 2000.

He was employed as a heat treater with T.R.W. Inc. of Cambridge, Mass., for many years prior to retirement.

Mr. Logan was a member of the Concord (Mass.) Rod and Gun Club and a member of Hillside United Methodist Church of Grasmere.

Family members include his wife of 38 years, Judith E. (Shine) Logan of Goffstown; two sons, Frank H. Logan III of Concord, and Michael Logan of Goffstown; one daughter, Kristeen Thompson of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Frank H. Logan IV and Katherine Alexandria Logan, both of Malden, Mass.; two brothers, Steven Charles Logan of Gorham, Maine, and William Logan of South Boston, Mass.; three sisters, Claire Watson of West Buxton, Maine, and Ellen Beaulieu and Julie Cote, both of Beverly, Mass.; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

French and Rising Funeral Home of Goffstown handled the arrangements.

WILLIAM R. MCCLINTOCK
GOFFSTOWN – William R. McClintock, 70, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester after a battle with cancer.
Born in Norwood, Mass., on July 5, 1934, he was the son of Alvin R. and Helen (Sienkiewicz) McClintock. He was raised and educated in the Walpole, Mass., area.

He served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1958.

He was a resident of Goffstown for the past 37 years.

Mr. McClintock was a retired heat-frost insulator and was employed by All Temps Insulation Co., and was a member of Heat-Frost Insulators Union Local 6 of Boston. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying both hunting and fishing.

Family members include his wife of 44 years, Betty Ann (Robinson) McClintock of Goffstown; two daughters, Laurie A. St. Laurent of Goffstown, and Karen L. Houston of Middletown, R.I.,; two granddaughters; one brother, Alexander McClintock of Wrentham, Mass.; one sister, Eleanor Fletcher of Indiana; one aunt and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

French and Rising Funeral Home of Goffstown handled the arrangements.

Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110.

GEORGE J. SALAK
ST. CLOUD, Fla. – George J. Salak, 81, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004.
He was born in Cowansville, Pa., and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service.

Mr. Salak was also the owner and operator of George’s Insulation Inc. in Goffstown for many years.

Family members include his wife, Mary Salak of St. Cloud, Fla.; a son, Edwin Salak of Jacksonville, Fla.; a stepson, Mark Vandressen; two grandchildren, Tiffany Marie Salak of Bethlehem, and Joshua Allen Salak of Gansevoort, N.Y.; three brothers, Joseph Salak of Lower Burrell, Pa., Frank Salak of Virginia, and John Salak of Meadville, Pa.; and two sisters, Stella Edmonds of Sarber, Pa., and Martha Allard of Santa Monica, Calif.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Anna.

Services were held Nov. 19 at Fisk Funeral Home, St. Cloud, Fla. Interment followed at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla., with full military honors.

CHARLES L. SHUMAN II
HOOKSETT – Charles Louis Shuman II, 49, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester.
Born in Boston on April 4, 1955, he was the son of Charles Louis Shuman I and Beatrice Josephine (Hughes) of Lake-land, Fla.

He spent his early life in Boston, graduating from South Boston High School. Later he moved to Manchester and for the past 12 years had made Hooksett his home.

Mr. Shuman had been employed by Boston Ladder and Scaffolding in Hooksett, where he was a salesman.

He was a member of the Manchester Firearms Gun Range.

In addition to his mother, family members include his wife, Carol Ann (Biedugnis) Shuman of Hooksett; his children and their spouses, Charles III and Natalie Shuman of Pittsfield, Christopher Shuman of Hooksett, Brian Shuman of Hooksett, Michelle Shuman of Lynn, Mass., and Denise and George Karan of Hooksett; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Schofield of Lakeland, Fla., and Carol McElhinney of Dorchester, Mass.; and two nieces.

Petit Funeral Home of Pembroke handled the arrangements.

KENDALL A. BLAY SR.
ALLENSTOWN – Kendall A. “Ken” Blay Sr., 61, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at Concord Hospital.
Born in Rockland, Maine, on June 21, 1943, he was the son of Paul and Josephine (Farrington) Blay of Hooksett.

He spent his early life in Manchester, graduating from Bishop Bradley High School in 1961, and for the past 32 years, he had made Allenstown his home.

He had been employed by Z-Tech in Bow, McElwain Shoe in Manchester and had also spent 15 years with Prevue Products in Manchester.

Mr. Blay served with the U.S. Navy and was a member of the John J. Maguire American Legion Post of Suncook. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed cooking and sports. He volunteered as a coach for several teams, including Little League, the Pony League and CYO basketball. He was also a Scoutmaster for Boy Scouts Pack No. 97.

In addition to his mother, family members include his wife, Patricia (Stepanon) Blay of Allenstown; his children and their spouses, Bruce and Kathryn Blay of Manchester, Robyn and Timothy Chadwick of Allenstown, Kendall Jr. and Bobby-Ann Blay of Manchester, Kimberly Blay of West Lebanon, and Shaun Blay of Allenstown; four grandchildren, Amber, Kaitlin, Jacob and Keith; a sister, Paulette (Mrs. Levi) Griffin of Manchester; nieces and nephews.

Petit Funeral Home of Pembroke handled the arrangements.

BERNARD F. FLEET
KITTERY, Maine – Bernard F. Fleet, 70, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, in Manchester.
Born in Fitchburg, Mass., on Nov. 15, 1934, he was the son of Eastman and Lillian (Aubrey) Fleet. He attended Fitchburg schools.

Mr. Fleet had lived in Fitchburg and Hooksett before moving to Kittery 23 years ago.

He was self-employed all his life.

While living in Hooksett, he was a member of the Lions Club and was a part-time policeman.

Family members include his wife of 23 years, Donna (Young) Fleet of Kittery; a son, John B. Fleet of Belleview, Fla.; a daughter, Donna Myers of Hooksett; a stepson, Todd D. Ball of Florida; four grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Smith of Virginia.

J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home of Kittery handled the arrangements.

WILLIAM BURNS
BEDFORD - William B. Burns, 28, formerly of Bedford, died suddenly, May 15, 2005, at Elliot Hospital, Manchester.
He was born in Hartford, Conn., and moved to Bedford as a child. He attended public schools in Bedford and played little league ball for many years.

He was a 1995 graduate of Manchester High School West and enjoyed wrestling on the J.V. team and golfing as a junior member of the Manchester Country Club.

He also worked at Bedford Agway during his later high school years.

In May 2000, he received a bachelor of science degree from Arizona State University, where he majored in justice studies with a minor in business administration. He was recently employed at the Home Depot in Nashua.

Family members include his mother and father, Bill and Leslie Burns, and a sister, Emily of Bedford, and a brother, Robert of Manchester; his paternal grandmother, Helen Burns of Amherst, and his maternal grandmother, Shirley Stadelbauer of Cambridge, Ontario; several aunts, uncles and cousins, most of whom are living in New England or are away at college.

Smith & Heald Funeral Home of Milford handled the arrangements. Burial will be in Meadowview Cemetery, Amherst, at a later date.

Donations may be made or a book donated in Mr. Burns.

ROBERT N. ACORN
BEDFORD – Robert Neal Acorn, 62, died May 13, 3005, in a Bedford health care facility.
Born March 9, 1943, he was the son of J. Alonzo and Florence (Hodgman) Acorn.

He was a truck driver for many years.

In 1977, he married Kathryn Melendy and they began B & K Farm, where he was a certified tree farmer, selling Christmas trees, strawberries, vegetables and plants.

He was a member of Bedford Presbyterian Church, a charter member of the Bedford Historical Society, a trustee of Bedford Center Old Cemetery Association, a member of the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests and of the New Hampshire Farm Bureau.

Family members include his wife of 27 years, Kathryn (Melendy) Acorn; a daughter, Rebecca G. Acorn of Bedford; a niece; and nephews and cousins.

Goodwin Funeral Home and Cremation Services handled the arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bedford Fire Department, 55 Constitution Drive, Bedford, NH 03110.

DAVID C. GRAUPNER
BEDFORD - David C. Graupner, 65, died May 13, 2005, at a local hospital.
Born on May 6, 1940, in Manchester, he was the son of Ernest and Martha (Hohman) Graupner. He was a graduate of Central High School.

He worked at several car dealerships in the area and later at Erettie's on Elm and at Wal-Mart. He enjoyed sailing on Merrymeeting Lake.

He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Manchester.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Family members include his good friends Michael and Diane Carrier of Manchester, Bob and Susan Keller Jr. of Bow; and several cousins.

A private graveside memorial service will take place at Pinegrove Cemetery at a later date.

LEOPOLD C. POULIOT
FRANKLIN - Leopold C. "Paul" Pouliot, 91, of West Bow Street, died Sunday, May 22, 2005, at Franklin Regional Hospital in Franklin.
He was born in Franklin on Oct. 26, 1913, the son of Joseph and Olivine (Fredette) Pouliot.

Mr. Pouliot was a lifelong Franklin resident and attended Franklin schools. He was one of 10 siblings.

Several years ago, Paul was employed at the Sulloway Hosiery Mill as a full-fashion knitter. He later worked at The JP Stevens Co. in Franklin and Barbary Mills in Lakeport. Mr. Pouliot was a routeman for Table Talk Pies and lastly worked at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton for several years before retiring in the mid-'80s.

He was a member and former president of the State Employees Union Local and was a member of the State Employees Association.

A life member of the Fr. AJ Timon Knights of Columbus Council, Mr. Pouliot was also a communicant of St. Paul Church.

Mr. Pouliot was an avid gardener and enjoyed walking and spending time with his family.

He also enjoyed following many sports teams.

Family members include his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Gilbette (Beaupre) Pouliot of Franklin; five children, Pauline L. LaPlante of Franklin, Richard A. Pouliot of Virginia Beach, Va., Linda Daniels of Tilton, Brenda Froton of Allenstown and Jerry Pouliot of Epsom; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, August Pouliot of Franklin; two sisters, Hilda Boisclair and Irene LaBraney, both of Franklin NH; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the T.R.I.P. Center, 20 Canal St., Franklin 03235.
