IMELDA V. BELIVEAU
MANCHESTER – Imelda V. (Cyr) Beliveau, 90, died Dec. 15, 2005, at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home in Manchester.
She was born July 5, 1915, in Manchester, to Adelard and Valeda (Goulet) Cyr.

Mrs. Beliveau worked for many years for various shoe companies in Manchester.

She was a parishioner of St. Marie Church most of her life.

Mrs. Beliveau volunteered for more than 30 years, working in the rectory at St. Marie Church and was also a member of Ladies of St. Anne and vice president of C.W.V. Auxiliary 1749.

She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Family members include two sisters, Laura Laframboise and Lea Savage, both of Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.

Phaneuf Funeral Home and Crematorium in Manchester handled the arrangements.

FRANCIS J. BUCKLEY
GOFFSTOWN - Francis J. "Buck" Buckley, 91, of Goffstown died Jan. 17, 2006, with family by his side, at home.
He was born Jan. 11, 1915, in Weare to Joseph and Florence (Breed) Buckley. He was a resident of Goffstown for 61 years and worked in the area as an office machine repairman specializing in typewriters.

Mr. Buckley was a World War II Army veteran who served as a forward observer in the 10th Armored Division 419th Field Artillery. For his dedicated service, he received a Bronze Star and Presidential Citation. For over 50 years, he was a member of both the Mason's Bible Lodge #27 and the Martha Washington OES #6 and was recognized by receiving a 50-year pin from each organization. He was also a parishioner of Hillside United Methodist Church.

Family members include his wife of six years, Teresa (Giddings) Buckley; two stepdaughters, Sallie Hyman of Wendell, N.C., and Catherine "Cathy" Cushing of Pembroke; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Memorial donations may be made to Buck's honor to the VNA Home Hospice, 1850 Elm St., Manchester, NH 03104.

The Cremation Society of New Hampshire handled the arrangements.

ALAN J. POLLARD
CANDIA – Alan J. Pollard, 68, died Jan. 17, 2006, at Elliot Hospital.
He was born May 14, 1937, in Manchester to Jonathan and Olive (MacNeil) Pollard. He was a 1955 graduate of Central High School and attended New England College in Henniker before joining the Army. He late worked for the phone company and retired from Nynex in 1993. He was a member of the First Congregation Church in Manchester.

Mr. Pollard was a very accomplished Mason, past master Washington Lodge 61, past head of York Rite Bodies of Manchester, past grand steward Grand Lodge of New Hampshire, past grand master of Grand Commandery Knights Templar of the State of New Hampshire, past thrice illustrious grand master of Cryptic Masons of the State of New Hampshire, past knight commander of Palestine Temple XLI Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priest; past president and founder of the Past Commanders Association of New Hampshire, Granite State Conclave Knights of the Red Cross of Constantine, New Hampshire Priory 56 Knights of the York Cross of Honor, Profile York Rite Collage 100, Scenic Council 37 Knight Masons, past prior of KYCH, past sovereign of Granite State Red Cross Constantine.

He enjoyed spending time gardening and with his dogs and, most of all, with his family.

Family members include his wife of 44 years, Albra Pollard; a daughter, Judith Ann Pollard of Candia; a son, Jon Alan Pollard and his wife, Anne Marie Kielbasa of Wakefield, Mass.; a brother, Jonathan Pollard Jr. of Concord; a sister, Beverly May of Boxford, Mass.; a niece and three nephews.

PATRICIA T. LUCY
BEDFORD - Patricia T. Lucy, 89, died Jan. 16, 2006. She was born April 22, 1916, in Manchester to Frederick and Ella (Shaughnessy) Timmins.
She was a lifelong area resident.

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Lucy was a sales manager with The Bell Shop clothing store in Manchester.

She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School for Girls and was a longtime member of Manchester Country Club.

Mrs. Lucy was predeceased by her husband, Ben Lucy.

Family members include nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

DAVID W. WORRAD
MONT VERNON - David William Worrad, 78, died Jan. 16, 2006, in Milford, following a sudden illness.
He was born in Nashua to Joseph V. and Eva Marie (Brousseau) Worrad. He was a resident of Mont Vernon since 1958.

Mr. Worrad was the owner of Dave's Goffstown Foodliner from 1958 to 1991.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening and growing his pumpkins.

Family members include his wife, Ruth I. Worrad of Mont Vernon; three daughters, Vickie T. Worrad and Gail Bonin, both of Goffstown and Ruth Marie Stallsmith of Huntsville, Ala.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Madeline Langley of Reeds Ferry, and Shirley Quinlan of Port Richie, Fla; and several nieces and nephews.

REBECCA WATSON
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Rebecca H. (Ricard) Watson, 100, died Jan. 3, 2006, in a nursing center in Port Charlotte, Fla.
She was born Aug. 13, 1905, in Concord to William and Florence Houston. She later attended Pembroke schools and graduated from Pembroke Academy in 1923. She also graduated from Plymouth Normal School, now Plymouth State University.

Mrs. Watson began her long teaching career teaching eight grades in a tiny one-room school in North Canaan, N.H. She continued to teach in Canaan schools until 1949. She also taught fifth and sixth grade in Hooksett before teaching first and second grade in the Pembroke schools, until she retired in 1967.

She was a member of the Silver Fox Club in Pembroke for many years and a member of the Women's Club in Deerfield. She also enjoyed gardening and raised flowers and vegetables.

Mrs. Watson was predeceased by her second husband, Murray H. Watson of Deerfield, who died in 1973; and a son, Richard Ricard.

Family members include three children for her first marriage to Ralph Ricard, two daughters, Barbara Longley of Port Charlotte, and Marian Harrington, formerly of Hancock, N.H., and Douglas Ricard of Pembroke; a sister, Pearl Teal of Newfield; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

MARY A. LARSON
MANCHESTER - Mary A. (Kazanowski) Larson, 73, of Bedford, died Jan. 13, 2006, at Catholic Medical Center, following a brief illness.
She was born on Feb. 10, 1932, in Manchester to Stanislaw and Mary (Lesniak) Kazanowski. She was raised and educated in Manchester and graduated from Central High School.

Mrs. Larson worked in the office of Royal Globe Insurance in Bedford until her retirement, with over 26 years of service.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. A lifetime member of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Cathedral in Manchester, she was very active with the Women's ANS Society.

Mrs. Larson enjoyed a challenging crossword puzzle.

She was an avid reader, and loved boating on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Family members include her husband of 50 years, Allan T. Larson of Bedford; three sons, Stephen Larson and his wife, Tricia, of Eaton, Michael Larson of Goffstown and Richard Larson of Bedford; a daughter, Kathie Vieira of Manchester; a brother, John Kazanowski of Signal Mountain, Tenn; four sisters, Ann Voisard of Manchester, Stella Butler of Clearwater, Fla., Eleanor Norelli of Austin, Texas, and Violet Laundry of Ludlow, Vt.; six grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

CLINTON M. JONES
GOFFSTOWN - Clinton M. Jones, 58, died Jan. 18, 2006, at the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association's Hospice House in Concord, after a 2.5- year battle with cancer.
He was born in Marshall, Minn., to Edward H. and Jenny (Kress) Jones. He was a resident of Goffstown since 1999.

Mr. Jones graduated from Worthington Community College in Worthington, Minn. and St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn.

He was the project director for New Hampshire Nursing Workforce Project. He also served as business liaison for Manchester School to Careers Partnership for the Manchester School District. He worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 21 years as a supervising manager for the Massachusetts Department of Employment and Training.

Mr. Jones was known for his unique sense of humor and delighted in spending time with his family, including his daughter- in-law, Emily Marion Swota Jones, and son-in-law, Jefferey Gonsalves.

With a great love of the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing and golf and was well known for taking extended walks with his longtime faithful companion, "Bill the Black Lab." During these walks, he searched for lost coins and found many. During the past year, he developed a love for writing poetry.

Mr. Jones was a registered member of Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians of North Dakota.

Family members include his wife, Leslie Glines-Jones of Goffstown; his mother, Jenny K. Jones of Bigelow, Minn.; a son, Matthew Alan Jones of Concord; a stepdaughter, Juli Lynn Parker of Swanse, Mass.; two sisters, Jenita Kennedy of Kearney, Mo., and Denise Helmers of Allendorf, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews greatnieces and great-nephews.

Memorial services will be held Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. at Brookside Congregational Church of Manchester.

HIRAM F. THOMAS
EPSOM - Hiram F. Thomas, 94, a resident of Epsom for more than 54 years, died Jan. 20, 2006, at Genesis Health Care Center in Laconia following a brief illness.
He was born in Thomasville, Nova Scotia, to Bert and Winifred (Newell) Thomas.

Mr. Thomas was the founder and longtime operator of the Granite State Alarm Co. in Manchester.

He was a member of the Epsom Bible Church and worked for years doing odd jobs at the church and working the men's prayer breakfast. He was a 33- degree Mason.

Mr. Thomas loved fishing and hunting and was an avid outdoorsman. He was always referred to by his nephews and nieces as the favorite uncle.

He was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn (Reams) Thomas, who died in March of 2004; and a son, Jeffrey Craig Thomas. Family members include two sons, Ted F. Thomas of Northwood and Win O. Thomas of St. Augustine, Fla.; three grandchildren, Kelley Cavanaugh of Manchester, Stephanie Thomas of Northwood and Matthew Thomas of Mars Hill, Maine; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clayton Thomas and Hilbert Thomas, both of Nova Scotia; a sister, Avis Dexter of Nova Scotia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial donations may be made to the Epsom Bible Church Building Fund, Epsom, NH 03234.

ROSE A. RAUDING
BEDFORD - Rose A. Rauding, 94, died Jan. 17, 2006, in Bedford.
She was born July 30, 1911, in Arlington, Mass., to Andrew and Hedvig (Petterson) Hammerbeck and lived in the Manchester and Bedford area for many years.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Rauding was an executive secretary with Amoskeag Trust Co.

She was an accomplished pianist who also enjoyed rock music and was known among family and friends as "Jammin. Gram." She also enjoyed her family, baseball and her cat and dog companions.

Mrs. Rauding was a member of The Order of Easter Star, White Shrine, and the Manchester Women's Club. She was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Manchester.

She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert V. Rauding.

Family members include her daughter, Lynda R. Poloian and son-in-law, Ralph S. Poloian, both of Townsend, Mass.; seven grandchildren, Kristen Soterion, Erik Gamans, Heather Poloian, Scott Poloian, Robin Fontenot, Julie Ahlman and Janet Shaw; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
