JOHN R. LAVIN
FRANKLIN - John R. Lavin, 46, of South Main Street, died Jan. 26, 2006, at Concord Hospital after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 22, 1959, in Concord, to Leo and Marlene (Bresaw) Lavin Jr.
"Dick," as his family knew him, was a lifelong resident of Pembroke, having recently moved to Franklin.

Mr. Lavin attended Pembroke Academy, graduating with the Class of 1978.

He was married to Jane C. Call on Sept. 15, 1979, in Hooksett. Mr. Lavin worked for General Services and Recycling at St. Paul's School in Concord for 19 years.

An outdoorsman and a family man, he enjoyed his work at St. Paul's School and his fellowship with the staff and the students. He always loved helping other people.

Mr. Larvin was a 4-H leader assistant with the Best Yet 4-H Club of Pembroke.

He was predeceased by his father, Leo A. Lavin Jr.

Family members include his wife of 26 years, his best friend and soul mate, Jane Lavin of Franklin; two sons, Derek Lavin of Londonderry and Brandon Lavin of Franklin; a daughter, Brooke Moul of Franklin; his mother, Marlene Fritz of Florida; his grandmother, Dora Bresaw of Florida; a brother, Leo A. Lavin III of Pembroke; a grandson, Colbe Moul of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101.

GENEVIEVE L. MARTIN
BEDFORD – Genevieve L. (Petrosky) Martin, 80, died unexpectedly Jan. 16, 2006, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Jennerstown, Pa., to Stanley and Caroline (Orzech) Petrosky. She and her husband had recently moved to the Bedford area.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Martin was a claims representative for the Social Security Administration for 25 years.

She loved gardening, traveling and spending time with her family.

Family members include her husband, Francis J. Martin of Bedford; two sons and daughters- in-law, Joseph and Fiona Martin of Palo Alto, Calif., and Steven and Jeanne Martin of Hudson; a daughter and sonin- law Kimberly and Steven DiOrio of Merrimack; five grandchildren, Juliette and Philip Martin, Katelyn, Matthew and Andrew DiOrio; a sister, Margaret Rode of Dix Hills, N.Y.; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Elizabeth Petrosky of Bridgewater, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.

Lambert Funeral Home and Crematorium in Manchester handled the arrangements.

THERESE R. VALLEE
MANCHESTER - Therese R. Vallee, 79, of Manchester, died Jan. 26, 2006, died at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 8, 1926, in Merrimack to Raoul and Alice (Paquin) Brunelle. She lived most of her life in Manchester and wintered in Florida for the past 25 years.

Mrs. Vallee was a graduate of the Manchester schools and worked as a bookkeeper in her husband's business, Vallee Construction. Family was the prime thing in her life.

She loved her niece, Celeste (Brunelle) Beaudoin of Manchester.

Family members include her husband of 58 years, Gerald Vallee of Manchester; two sons, Armand vallee of Auburn and Marc Vallee of Goffstown; a daughter, Gisele Fournier of Goffstown; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 Route 101, Unit 501, Bedford, NH 03110.

ADELE M. SIBSON
BEDFORD – Adele M. (Cugini) Sibson, 94, died Jan. 27, 2006, at Windham Terrace in Windham, following a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 24, 1911, in Worcester, Mass., to Gerardo and Angelina (Notturno) Cugini.

She married James A. “Sibby” Sibson on Feb. 18, 1936, and they moved to Portland, Maine, where she assumed the duties of homemaker. She and her husband moved to Bedford in 1978.

Mrs. Sibson was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother as well as a talented homemaker. Her family shares the sentiment, “Those we love are always with us – their memories a flame to warm out days until we are together again.”

She was predeceased by her husband in 1999; a daughter, Carol-Ann Sibson, who died in 2003; and a son, Albert James Sibson, who died in 2005.

Family members include two daughters, Adele-Marie and her husband, Paul Richard of Hooksett and Barbara and her husband, Bret Bersack of Belmont, Mass.; a daughter-inlaw, Sandra Sibson of Portland, Maine; three grandchildren; three brothers, Frank Cugini of Natick, Mass., Albert and his wife, Joan Cugini, of Natick and Edward Nargi of Milford, Mass.; and nieces, nephews and many extended family members and friends.

ELIZABETH WASON
GOFFSTOWN – Elizabeth (Hagland) Wason, 88, died Jan. 25, 2006, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack.
She was born to Ernest and Laura (Todd) Hagland and was raised in New Boston. She lived in Goffstown since 1942.

Mrs. Wason was a longtime member of Goffstown Rebeccas and Goffstown Mothers Club.

She served as a volunteer for the Goffstown Public Library, the Upper Elementary School Library, and the Goffstown Meals on Wheels program.

Mrs. Wason was also an active member of the Goffstown Congregational Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward W. Wason, who died in 1986.

Family members include a daughter, Suzanne Wason of Weare; two sons, Edward Thomas Wason of Union, Maine, and R. Michael Wason of Fairbanks, Alaska; five granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; and a sister, Susan French of Meredith.

EVELYN F. HOYT
CANDIA - Evelyn F. Hoyt, 80, died Jan. 27, 2006, at home following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 28, 1925, in Alexandria to Harold and Florence (Tenny) Patten. Mrs. Hoyt lived in Candia for 52 years.

Prior to her retirement, she was a sales clerk at E&R Cleaners. Mrs. Hoyt was a member of the ladies auxiliary for the Candia Fire Department and a member of the Granite State Senior Citizens.

She was a graduate of Andover High School, Class of 1943.

Family members include her husband of 60 years, Robert Hoyt; a son, Wayne Hoyt of Candia; a daughter, Beverly Laurendeau of Deerfield; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis Patten of Salisbury and Clinton Patten of Concord; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial donations, may be made to Candia Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 72, Candia, NH 03034.

RUTH J. CLARKE
MANCHESTER - Ruth J. (Hill) Clarke, 91, of Manchester, died Jan. 22, 2006, in Villa Crest Nursing and Retirement Community.
She was born March 9, 1914, in Coudersport, Pa., to George G. and Medora (Baker) Hill. She grew up in and attended school in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

Her secretarial career began in 1949 at the Gredag Grease Co. She also worked at General Electric, as an executive secretary for the Speer Carbon Co. (Now Airco), at the Niagara Power Authority in Lewiston, N.Y., and several short-term positions in Manchester.

Mrs. Clarke lived in the Manchester area since 1987, having come from Hooksett. She lived in Lewiston since 1968.

She was a member of the National Secretary's Association, the Lewiston Service Guild, the First Baptist Church, Niagara Falls, the First Presbyterian Church in Lewiston and the Hooksett Women's Club.

Mrs. Clarke was an avid golfer and was a past member of Intervale Country Club in Manchester. More recently, she attended Bethany Covenant Church in Bedford.

She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Elton G. Clarke, who died in 2005; four brothers, Derald, Theron, Gordon and Edward.

Family members include a son, Gerald E. Clarke and his wife, Diane, of Florence, Ala.,; a daughter, Jane Clarke Teffar of Skaneateles, N.Y.; three grandchildren, James Clarke and his wife, Tracey of Memphis, Tenn., Stephen Clark and his wife, Rachel of Houston and Kathryn Clarke of Houston; five great-grandchildren, Sydney and David Clarke of Memphis and Ashley, Alison and Lauren Clark of Houston.

ESTELLE HACHE
WELLESLEY, Mass. - Sister Estelle Hache, a member of the Religious of Jesus and Mary and former teacher at Villa Augustina elementary school in Goffstown, died Nov. 2, 2005.
At the time of her death, Sister Hache was living at an intercommunity retirement center in Wellesley.

She was born in Waltham and graduated from Villa Augustina Academy, when the Villa was an all girls high school. She entered the Religious of Jesus and Mary in 1952, taking vows in 1955. After vows, she began a life-long ministry in and love affair with elementary school education and children that would span 40 years. She received her bachelor's degree in education from Fordham University in New York.

Her ministry in elementary education took her to New York, Maryland, Rhode Island, Texas, California and Alabama. Eventually, Sister Hache returned to Villa Augustina where she taught fifth and sixth grades for more than 21 years, with a focus on science.

She is remembered for her enthusiasm for education, her creativity in the classroom and her joy in watching her students learn.

Memorial donations may be made to the Villa Augustina Scholarship Fund in her name and sent to Villa Augustina School, 208 South Mast St., Goffstown, NH 03045.

DOROTHY J. CAMLEY
EPSOM - Dorothy Jean (Cimikoski) Camley, 76, of Goboro Road, died Jan. 23, 2006, at the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association's Hospice House.
She was born in Norwich, Conn., to the late Leo and Helen (Wrobel) Cimikoski Sr. She attended Norwich private and public schools.

While living in Connecticut, Mrs. Camley was employed at the Norwich State Hospital. She was a resident of New Hampshire since 1979.

She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 9452, and the AARP. She was a communicant of St. Peters Church. She was an avid reader and subscribed to many publications, and she enjoyed collecting cookbooks and sharing recipes with family and friends. She loved to dance and lived for the chance to vacation and spend time at the beach.

Family members include two daughters, Charlene Johnson and her husband, Norman, of Norwich, and Hollie-Jean Petrone and her husband, Frank, of Charlestown, R.I.; three sons, Harland Camley Jr. of Milford, Conn., Brad Camley and his wife, Leslie, of West Haven, Conn., and Glenn Camley and his fiancee, Jolene Campbell, of Epsom; a sister, Helen Kilkenny of East Falmouth, Mass.; four brothers, Daniel Cimikoski of Santa Rosa, Calif., Dr. William Cimikoski Sr. and his wife, Mehri, of Gilmanton, Leo Cimikoski Jr. of Concord, and Stefan Cimikowski and his wife, Tracey, of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

RAYMOND E. BASSETT
EPSOM – Raymond E. Bassett, 84, died Jan. 25, 2006, at Presidential Oaks after a brief illness.
He was born Jan 20, 1922, in Boscawen to Edward and Catherine (Lynch) Bassett.

In 1936, Mr. Bassett graduated from Penacook High School.

A licensed master plumber and electrician, he worked for Marshall and Fred Irving and retired from Steenbekes.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Force overseas as an airplane and engine mechanic. During his wartime service, he flew over the Burma Hump.

Playing cards – especially cribbage – blueberry and strawberry picking, playing his harmonica, deer hunting, fishing and cooking brought Mr. Bassett great enjoyment. Most importantly, sharing cherished moments with his family and friends was his greatest joy.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Cynthia (Porter) Bassett; and a brother, John Bernie Bassett.

Family members include his four daughters, Brenda Farrell and her husband, Robert, of Boscawen, Rayleen Harris and her husband, William, of Hillsville, Va., Mary Sauerheber and her husband, Wayne, of Allenstown and Sally Lefebvre and her husband, Brian, of Feeding Hills, Mass.; three stepsons, Douglas H. DuVerger and his wife, Gabrielle, of Manchester, Mark D. DuVerger and his wife, Brenda, of Bradford and Timothy D. DuVerger of Nashua; a stepdaughter, Amy E. Robertson of Louisville, Ky.; two brothers, Eugene Bassett and his wife, Lydia, of Concord and Maurice Bassett and his wife, Dorothy, of Chambersburg, Pa.; a sister, Kathleen Foote of Penacook; a very dear friend, Beth of Epsom; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
