ANITA T. LEMAY
MANCHESTER – Anita T. Lemay, 71, died March 16, 2006, of natural causes.
She was active in serving American veterans as Jr. Vice President of Ladies Auxiliary VFW Chapter 8214 and was a member of Knights of Columbus.

Mrs. Lemay was an active parishioner at St. Endmond Parish in Pinardville for 44 years, where she also taught CCD.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert T. Lemay.

Family members include two sons, Donald and James Lemay of Manchester; three daughters, Diane Mancino of Goffstown, Debra Loverin of Dunbarton and Irene Bernier of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Morin of Goffstown; a sister, Monique Dione of Broadbrook, Conn., and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Manchester VA Medical Center Recreation Dept., c/o Debra Krinsky, 718 Smyth Road, Manchester, NH, 03104.

GEORGIANNA D. MARTEL
MILTON – Georgianna D. Martel, 48, died March 14, 2006, in Rochester, as the result of an automobile accident.
She was born Jan. 2, 1958, in Manchester to William P. and Dorothy M. (Scott) French. She was raised in Hooksett and attended Hooksett schools.

Mrs. Martel enjoyed outdoor activities, especially whitewater rafting and riding motorcycles. She enjoyed taking trips with her family in their R.V. She and her husband loved dogs, and raised pugs. She also loved working on arts and crafts projects. She always put other people first, and was willing to help anyone.

Family members include her husband of 22 years, Richard G. Martel of Milton; a daughter, Marie S. Martel of Pittsfield; three sisters, Susan Heaney, Beverly Bellemare and Shirley Bergeron, all of Concord; two brothers, William French and Mark French, both of Hooksett; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Phaneuf Funeral Home and Crematory in Manchester handled the arrangements.

ROSE E. CASSIDY
BEDFORD – Rose E. Cassidy, 93, died April 11, 2006, at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 14, 1912, in Manchester to Ernest and Albertine (Houle) Roy. She was a resident of Bedford for most of her life.

Mrs. Cassidy was a communicant of Sacred Heart Parish in Manchester.

She loved to sew and do crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Cassidy was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Cassidy, who died in 1986 and also by her former husbands, Walter Cote and Oscar Tremblay; a daughter, Alice Jolicoeur; and stepsons, Andy Cassidy and Maurice Cassidy.

Family members include a daughter, Irene Cassidy of Manchester; stepsons, Robert Tremblay and Roger Cassidy, both of Manchester; stepdaughters, Theresa McGuigan of Manchester and Jeannette Barbin of San Jose, Calif; 24 grandchildren; a sister, Blanche Nault of Manchester; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, 400 Mast Road, Goffstown NH 03045.

W.J. CUNNINGHAM III
PEMBROKE – William J. Cunningham III, 57, died April 13, 2006, at his home.
He was born July 16, 1948, in North Conway to William and Doris (Bellemore) Cunningham Jr. He was raised in North Conway and had lived in Manchester prior to moving to Pembroke about a year ago.

Family includes a daughter, Cathleen Fredette of Manchester; a son, William J. Cunningham IV of Pittsfield; a stepson, Charles Winchel of Pembroke; eight grandchildren; a brother, Timothy Cunningham of Epsom; and a sister, Carleen Martel of Allenstown.

ROY H. UPHAM
HOOKSETT -- Roy H. Upham, 86, died April 11, 2006, at Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association’s Hospice House, after a period of failing health.
He was born Feb. 9, 1920, in Roxbury, Mass., to Roy D. and Alice C. (Gordon) Upham.

He was educated in the Hingham, Mass., school system and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Boston College.

During World War II, Mr. Upham served in the U.S. Army. As a professor of chemistry at Saint Anselm College for nearly 40 years, he was a devoted teacher who spent countless hours with his students. He loved teaching, spending time with his family and traveling.

Mr. Upham was a member of the New England Association of Chemistry Teachers (NEACT) and the Hooksett-ites. He was also active with the Cursillo Movement.

Family members include his wife of 61 years, Aurie (Duplin) Upham of Hooksett; their children, Alice and Michael Dunfey of Manchester, Charles and Pat Upham of Chichester, Jim and Kathy Upham, formerly of Goffstown and now of Brunswick, Ga., Barbara and David Foster of Northfield, William Upham and Frances Nutter-Upham of Nashua, Betty and David Griffin of Gorham, Mary Upham and Mike Gualtieri of Ordell, N.J., and Meg and David Pfalzgraf of Londonderry; 24 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; stepsisters, Helen White and Patricia Kelley, and a stepbrother, Robert McGrory, all of Massachusetts.

Memorial donations may be made to the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, P.O. Box 1797, Concord, NH 03302- 1797; or to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind, 25 Walker St., Concord, NH 03301.

MARTHA J. MUNSEY-SORENSEN
EPSOM – Martha J. Munsey- Sorensen, 43, died at the Concord Regional Visiting Nurses Association Hospice House in Concord following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 27, 1962, in Concord to the late Herbert and Evelyn (Corson) Munsey. She attended Pittsfield High School and joined the U.S. Air Force, serving her country for four years.

Upon return from the military, Mrs. Munsey-Sorensen worked for Pittsfield Weaving for 18 years. Most recently, she was employed as a cook for the Multiple Offender Program for the state of New Hampshire.

She was an avid NASCAR fan who also enjoyed concerts, movies and crotcheting.

Family members include her husband, Walter J. Sorensen; a daughter, Heidi Munsey; a granddaughter, Angel Rose; a brother, Steven Munsey; a sister, Julie Swain; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to M.A.D.D.; or the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association Hospice House; or the Payson Center at Concord Hospital.

The Cremation Society of New Hampshire handled the arrangements.

ALBERT R. NOEL
PEMBROKE – Albert R. Noel, 82, died April 14, 2006, at his home.
He was born in Wickford, R.I., to Omar and Mary (Salsbury) Noel. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.

Mr. Noel worked for most of his life as a store manager for First National Supermarket in Rhode Island.

He enjoyed his family and vegetable gardening. He was married to his wife, Cecile, since 1945.

Family members include his wife, Cecile (Messier) Noel of Pembroke; three sons, Raymond Noel of Warwick, R.I., Marc Noel of Pembroke and Errol Noel of Fort Myers, Fla.; two daughters, Judith Small of Epsom and Paulette Brant of Leesburg, Fla.; four brothers, Robert Noel, Harry Noel, Richard Noel and Everett Noel; a sister, Jean Glenn; 10 grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Concord Regional Visiting Nurses Association Homecare, P.O. Box 1797, Concord, NH 03302-1797.

CLARA LOUISE FORBES
NEW BOSTON – Clara Louise Forbes, 76, died April 22, 2006, in Boston.
She was born in Manchester to Eugene and Louise (Norris) Philibotte. She resided in New Boston for most of her life.

Mrs. Forbes was employed for many years with Laurel Center in Bedford.

Her great joy in life was traveling and spending time with her family. She was also an avid bingo player.

Mrs. Forbes was predeceased by two husbands, George “Bruno” Beauchemin Jr., and Eugene E. Forbes.

Family members include four daughters, Linda Fleury and Gail Pierson, both of New Boston, Joyce Quinn of Chino Hills, Calif., and Sheila Cullinane of Goffstown; a son, Bruce Beauchemin of Goffstown; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Beverly Martineau of Londonderry, Evelyn Busiere of Manchester and Dorothy Groulx of Epsom; two brothers, Richard Philibotte, both of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire, 545 Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110.

ELIZABETH I. MARTELL
EPSOM – Elizabeth I. Martell, 98, died April 19, 2006, at Concord Hospital.
She was born in Boston, to Charles and Ida (Wilkinson) Grocott. She was a resident of Epsom since 1969.

Mrs. Martell was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Northwood and the New Rye Ladies Aid. She was past president of the Epsom Woman’s Club and Garden Club.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin Martell.

Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Marie Martell of Hopkinton; grandchildren, Molly Raymond and Dinah Martell; and greatgrandchildren, Jack and Gus Raymond.

A memorial Mass will take place, Saturday, April 29, at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Northwood.

MARY JANE PACKARD
GOFFSTOWN – Mary Jane Packard, 76, died April 21, 2006.
She was born in Boston, to John R. and Priscilla (Robinson) Sweeney. She was a resident of Goffstown of the past 27 years, previously living in Kinston, N.C.

Mrs. Packard was graduate of Bentley College in Waltham, Mass., and was employed for many years with John Hancock Insurance Co. She later became a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and raising her children.

She was a lifetime member of DAV Auxiliary Unit 1 of Manchester. Mrs. Packard was predeceased by her husband, Burton E. Packard.

Family members include a daughter, Pamela F. Packard of Goffstown; a son, Gregory M. Packard of Goffstown; a grandson; a brother, John R. Sweeney of Pembroke; a sister, Joan A. McGrath of Reading, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 399 Silver St., Manchester, NH 03101.

LOUISE DONAHUE
BEDFORD – Louise Donahue, 84, died May 28, 2006.
She was born March 21, 1922, in Manchester on to Miles and Harriet (Wiggin) Wallace.

Mrs. Donahue attended local Manchester schools and was a longtime Bedford resident.

She enjoyed playing cards and solving crossword puzzles but most of all being with her family. She had a large extended family, many friends and an excellent memory. On your special day she would always call or send a greeting card to wish you well. If you knew her, you would be mentioned in her prayers. She was truly blessed by having the caregivers and the compassionate care she received in her final years.

Mrs. Donahue was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and would enjoy watching them on TV or listening to the games on the radio. She was extremely happy when the Red Sox won the Word Series and was convinced that they won the championship for her.

She was a proud mother and grandmother and was supportive of her family’s accomplishments no matter how big or small. She always made those she knew feel special and found a spot in everyone’s heart. She will be missed by her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, John Rogers Donahue Sr., in 1983; a daughter Cheryl P. Armour in 2001; and a sister, Ethel Yaquis, who died in 1999.

Family members include sons, John Rogers Donahue Jr. of Merrimack and Michael E. Donahue Sr. of Bedford; daughters, Helen T. Donahue of Raymond, Maureen L. Chase of Dunbarton and Debra A. Norris of Raymond; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a greatgreat- grandchildren; a brother, Donald Wallace of Manchester; a brother-in-law, Frank Yaquis of Bedford; and nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to VNA, 1850 Elm St., Manchester, NH 03104.
