WILLIAM HALL
CONCORD – William Hall, 62, of Concord died Friday, June 8, 2007, at home after a battle with cancer.

He was born in Carlinville, Ill., a son of Ralph and Alice (Kates) Hall. He was a graduate of Hammond High School in Hammond, Ill. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Indiana.

Mr. Hall moved to New Hampshire to attend Franklin Pierce Law Center, where he earned his degree in the ’80s.

More recently, he worked in construction and worked for the former Universal Packaging.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Eagles and American Legion Post 21.

Mr. Hall was predeceased by his father; and his stepmother, Pearl Hall, who raised him.

Family members include two brothers, Edward Hall and his wife, Eva, of Muncie, Ind., and John Hall and his wife, Noel, of Greys Lake, Ill.; an aunt, Dorothy Smirl of Oak Park, Ill.; nieces; nephews; and a close friend, Emily Patterson.

Waters Funeral Home in Concord handled the arrangements.

LOUIS BAKER
CANDIA – Louis Baker, 89, died June 12, 2007, after a brief illness.

He was born June 21, 1917, in Manchester to John and Katherine Kucharczyk.

Mr. Baker served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was stationed in Puerto Rico and Bretton Wood, England.

He was a finish carpenter and also worked for Manter Construction for more than 20 years.

Mr. Baker enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing.

He was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Walkey) Baker, in 2002; and by a son, Craig William Baker, who died in 1974.

Family members include two sons, Gayle L. Baker of Allenstown and Eric R. Baker of Candia; a daughter, Donna C. Palmer of Candia; a brother, Joseph Kucharczyk of Auburn; and four sisters, Caroline Kucharczyk of Falmouth, Maine, Ann Head of Oregon, Wanda Sech of Columbus, Ohio, and Julia Macropol of Detroit.

Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans Department of New Hampshire, 27 Lowell St., Manchester, NH 03101.

Maiden-Petrin Funeral Home in Candia handled the arrangements.

HENRY J. LINDENBERG
EPSOM – Henry J. Lindenberg, 88, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, after a lengthy illness.

He was born Aug. 22, 1918, in New York City to the late Anna and Albert Lindenberg.

Mr. Lindenberg served proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II and then worked for 35 years at Kollsman Instrument Corp. in Merrimack before retiring and moving to Florida.

He lived at the Epsom Manor Nursing home for the past seven years.

Family members include his wife of 60 years, Mercedes (Coyle) Lindenberg of Epsom; son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Harriet Lindenberg of Virginia Beach, Va.; daughter Lorraine Lindenberg of Salem; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Robert Hazel of Merrimack; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Richard Scholz of Goffstown; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Activities Department at the Epsom Manor Nursing Home, 904 Suncook Valley Highway, Epsom, NH 03234.

RALPH A. HOUGHTON
BOW – Ralph A. Houghton, 82, the eighth generation resident of Wood Hill Road in Bow, died June 24, 2007, at the Harris Hill Center in Concord.

He was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Concord to Ralph A. and Elsie (Colby) Houghton. He attended Concord schools and graduated from Concord High School class of 1942.

Mr. Houghton was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army, Signal Corp.

After serving in the military, he was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier for more than 30 years.

Mr. Houghton was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Concord.

Family members include his wife of 57 years, Barbara (Kirby) Houghton; a son, Larry Houghton and his wife, Darlene, all of Bow; a daughter, Kathy Houghton of Meredith; a sister, Priscilla Chickering of Pembroke; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; and nephews and a niece.

ALBERT J. MINIUTTI
CONCORD – Albert J. Miniutti, 87, of Garvin Falls Road in Concord, died June 19, 2007, at the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association’s Hospice House.

A son of the late Santo and Alice Miniutti, he was born in Concord and attended local schools. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in the East Indies, New Guinea and the Philippines.

Mr. Miniutti owned and operated the former Rodd Roofing Co. for many years. He was a life member of American Legion Post 21 of Concord and a life member of VFW Post 1631 of Concord. He was in the Concord Eagles Club.

He was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Miniutti, and by two sisters, Catherine Miniutti and Pauline Hayes.

Family members include his wife of 61 years, Lorraine (Rancourt) Miniutti of Concord; a son, Dennis Miniutti of Concord; a daughter, Karen Miniutti of Los Angeles; a stepson, Robert Taylor of Bradford, R.I.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Crowley of Manchester, Conn.

KENNETH R. FAULKNER
HOOKSETT – Kenneth Ray Faulkner Jr., 75, died June 16, 2007, in the privacy of his home, surrounded by loved ones.

He was born Sept. 3, 1931, in Medford, Mass., to Kenneth Ray and Rose Ann (Astill) Faulkner.

After graduation from Arlington High School in 1949, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1950 and served aboard the minesweeper U.S.S. Instill 252 during the Korean War. He received a degree in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University in 1966.

Previous employers include Raytheon and Xerox before he and his wife together owned and operated a printing business for 23 years until retirement in 1999.

Mr. Faulkner spent all his summers since the age of 6 at his family cottage on Bickford Pond in Porter, Maine.

He and his wife, Joan Faulkner, purchased the cottage in 1968 to ensure their family heritage. At the age of 17, he handcrafted a 13-foot wooden boat in the basement of his childhood home. He proudly displayed his clever Yankee heritage while creating many wonderful family memories for two generations in and around his handmade boat at his family camp on Bickford Pond. He was a member of the Congregational Church of Hooksett and will be laid to rest with his baby daughter, Sandra Lee, in Framingham, Mass.

He married Joan Adelaide Wyman in 1955, who he first met at the age of 4 when peeking through the white picket fence in his backyard. They had four children.

Family members include his wife of 52 years, Joan Faulkner of Hooksett; sons, Robert and his wife, Mary-Anne Faulkner, of Massachusetts, and Stephen Faulkner of Allenstown; a daughter, Linda Baker and her husband, Mark, of Vermont; eight grandchildren, Timothy Faulkner, Jeffrey Faulkner, Jillian Faulkner, Brandon Faulkner, Meghan Faulkner, Scott Baker, Brianna Baker and Luke Baker.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 249 Canal St., Manchester, NH 03101.

DANIEL B. PINARD
WEARE – Daniel B. Pinard, 56, of Weare, died June 17, 2007, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 13, 1951, in Manchester to Conrad and Cecile (Lesage) Pinard. He lived in Manchester and Goffstown many years before moving to Weare in 2006.

Mr. Pinard served with the 172nd Field Artillery Division of the New Hampshire Army National Guard for seven years and was discharged with the rank of sergeant.

He worked for the Manchester Highway Department for 25 years. In retirement, he worked for the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester and for the Easter Seals Special Transport Services. He was a member of the American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post 2. He enjoyed the outdoors, sitting around a campfire, gardening, landscaping and wintering in Estero, Fla.

Family members include his wife of 35 years, Muriel (Dubois) Pinard of Weare; a brother, Normand of Weare; a brother, Normand of Penacook; four sisters, Ann Groves of Hudson, Constance Rousseau of Manchester, Lucille Vellemure of Goffstown and Susan Jaworski of Manchester; brothers-in-law, James Groves, Thomas Villemure, Stanley Jaworski, Butch Dubois, Don Dubois, Bob Dumas and Tom Cronin; sisters-in-law, Doris Pinard, Cecile Dubois, Susan Dumas, Lisa Dubois and Donna Cronin; his mother-in-law, Julie Hebert and her husband; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may made to Special Transport Services, 180 Zachary Road, Manchester, NH 03109, attn: Maureen Gage; or to Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester, 401 Cypress St., Manchester, NH 03101, attn: Sandra Seney.

JUDITH MARIE LATHAM
ALLENSTOWN – Judith Marie Latham, 59, died Thursday, June 21, 2007, at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

The daughter of John J. and Evelyn P. (Allen) Zakrosky, Mrs. Latham was born in Brockton, Mass., on June 4, 1948. She graduated from Bridgewater High School and lived in Brockton, Mass., and Londonderry before moving to Allenstown in 1976.

For 12 years she was employed as a certified nursing assistant for Concord Hospital and also spent five years as a reading aide at the Allenstown Elementary School. Mrs. Latham was an active member of her community and had served on the Allenstown Budget Committee.

She was most happy when around friends and family and, of course, her beloved animals. She was an amazing wife, mother and friend to all she met and will truly be missed.

Family include her husband of 36 years, Walter J. Latham Jr. of Allenstown; her daughter, Corrina Latham and her son, Cory Latham, both of Allenstown; her brothers, William Zakrosky of Bridgewater, Mass., and Jack Zakrosky of Everett, Mass.; her sister, Ruth Perry of Brockton, Mass.; and nieces and nephews. Memorial donations should be made to the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Route 3, Boscawen, NH 03303.

DENNIS C. RAFFERTY
CONCORD – Dennis C. Rafferty, 88, died June 22, 2007, at the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association’s Hospice House.

He was born in Portsmouth and lived in Concord for 55 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific theater, and was a longtime member of the American Legion.

Mr. Rafferty retired in 1987 from the New Hampshire Highway Department, where he worked as a professional engineer for 36 years.

He was well-known at Beaver Meadow Golf Club as a talented golfer who loved the game and his many golfing friends. Among his achievements were five holes-in- one, the last one when he was 77. He was Beaver Meadow club champion several years, and he won many local tournaments.

He was an active member of the Concord Twilight League, and finally brought home the prestigious title for this league in 1990 at the age of 71.

Mr. Rafferty was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Rafferty Broderick, who died in 1969.

Family members include his beloved wife of 61 years, Barbara Kirby Rafferty; two sons, Jack Rafferty and his wife, Lin, and Thomas Rafferty, both of California; three daughters, Eileen Rafferty Shaw and her husband, Charles, of Georgia, Judith Rafferty Blossom and her husband, Dale, and Nancy Rafferty of Vermont; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Concord Regional Visiting Nurses Association; or to Hospice House, 250 Pleasant St., Concord, NH 03301.
