WILLIAM F. STEARNS
BOW – William F. “Bill” Stearns, 65, of Woodhill Road, died Friday, April 4, 2008, at Massachusetts General Hospital.
He was born Jan. 28, 1943, in Quincy, Mass., to Harold E. and Barbara (Stone) Stearns. He was a Bow resident since 1966, and previously lived in Concord for almost 20 years.
Mr. Stearns was employed by the city of Concord as a firefighter and paramedic in the ’60s and later as a police dispatcher. After this, he spent time in sales and marketing for several companies, including WJYY, New England Guide and Home Depot.
He was a member of the Army National Guard and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. Because his passion in life was cooking and especially gardening, his family fondly remembers him through this poem:
I love to watch the Miracle
When blossoms bud and grow
I am nearer to God in the Garden
Than anywhere else I know.
Family members include his wife, Diane (Labrie) Stearns of Bow; two daughters, Debra Stearns of Concord and Jennifer Lamphear of Inlet, N.Y.; two sons-in- law, Kelly Brown and Brian Lamphear; three grandchildren, Benjamin Brown, Westley and Noah Lamphear; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Donald Morrison; and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 10, at 10:30 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Church in Concord.

CHARLES P. FREDERICKSON
GOFFSTOWN – Charles Peter Frederickson, 77, died April 6, 2008, following a brief illness.
He was born in Pittsfield, Mass., to Clarence P. and Grace (Oswald) Frederickson and has lived in Goffstown since 1960, previously living in Hartford, Conn.
Mr. Frederickson was employed for more than 32 years with New Hampshire Insurance and later, American International Group.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the United States Army.
Mr. Frederickson was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time constructing model airplanes, boats and puzzles.
Family members include his wife of 48 years, Patricia A. Frederickson of Goffstown; two daughters, Nicola G. Wyman of Colebrook and Clarice A. Manning of Barnard, Vt.; and two granddaughters.
Funeral services will take place Thursday, April 10, at 3 p.m., at French and Rising Funeral Home. Internment with military honors will be at Westlawn Cemetery.

JEAN M. CELESTE
GOFFSTOWN – Jean M. Celeste, 82, died March 31, 2008, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.
She was born in Malden, Mass., to Daniel and Helen (Mc- Carthy) O’Connor.
Mrs. Celeste was raised in Medford, Mass., and graduated from Girls Catholic High School in Malden.
She later resided in Natick, Mass.; Scarsdale, N.Y.; and South Yarmouth, Mass., before moving to Goffstown 12 years ago.
Mrs. Celeste owned and operated J. Celeste Limited in Dennisport, Mass., and the J. Celeste Outlet Store in South Dennis, Mass.
She was a member of the St. Patrick Solidarity in Natick.
Family members include her husband, John “Jack” I. Celeste Sr.; children, Jan. C. Brown of Bedford, John G. Celeste of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., and Jill E. Racioppi of Merrimack; five grandchildren, brothers, the Rev. Robert D. O’Connor of Iowa and John O’Connor of Roslindale, Mass.; sisters, Sister Anna O’Connor of Wilton, Conn., and Claire Stanley of Louisville, Ky.; and nieces and nephews.
Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield, is in charge of arrangements.
KRISTI B. LEBLANC
BEDFORD – Kristi Beth LeBlanc, 27, of Bedford, died April 14, 2008, at home surrounded by those she loved.
She was born in Manchester on Feb. 4, 1981, to Lori (Sidman) LeBlanc and Richard LeBlanc. She graduated from Manchester West High School, Class of 1999; and the Continental Academie of Hair Design.
Miss LeBlanc was a talented and passionate hair stylist and color specialist, always willing to share her knowledge with others. She was most recently transferring that passion studying toward a new career in retirement investments.
She was an independent and determined young woman whose free spirit and inner strength inspired all who knew her. She had an astonishing eye for fashion and makeup, loved shopping with her mom, playing a round of golf with her dad, spending time at the beach, especially in Florida, with her family and friends, traveling, riding her motorcycle, and her dog, “Tyson.”
Miss LeBlanc had an amazing passion for life and taught all who knew her some valuable lessons on how to live. She was gracious and selfless with inimitable courage that will forever be admired. Her beautiful eyes and infectious smile would light up a room and warm the hearts of her family and friends. Her amazing sense of humor and laughter were her gifts to protect those around her.
Family members include her parents, Lori and Richard LeBlanc of Bedford; her fiance, Kevin Nyberg of Nashua; a brother, Joshua LeBlanc and his fiancee, Jessica Boulard, of Los Angeles; a sister, Sarah Kelliher and her husband, Scott, and nephew, Sam, of New Jersey; grandparents, Emile LeBlanc of Bradenton, Fla., and Leonard and Patricia Duval of Bradenton; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and other close family members whose lives are forever changed and enhanced by her love.
A memorial funeral service took place Saturday, April 19, at the First Congregational Church, 508 Union St., Manchester. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.

OLAF J. CLAUSEN
BEDFORD – Olaf J. Clausen, 98, died May 2, 2008, at Villa Crest Healthcare.
He was born in Bamble, Norway, on May 8, 1909, to Anund and Anne Helene (Trosby) Clausen.
He attended schools in Norway and later graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
He moved to Bedford in 1971.
Mr. Clausen served with the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was ship’s captain for American Fruit Co. for many years, transporting goods from all over the world. He was a member of the Masters, Mates and Pilots Union.
He liked being independent and preferred to help others. He enjoyed his family, his home, his summer cottage, traveling and his garden with his great rhubarb patch.
Even when Mr. Clausen lost most of his eyesight, he continued helping others and caring for himself.
He was a communicant of St. Raphael Church.
Mr. Clausen was predeceased by his first wife of 27 years, Yvonne (Bourgeois) (St. Pierre) Clausen, in 1970; and his second wife of 36 years, Amelia “Millie” (Wollow) (Dors) Clausen, in 2007.
Family members include two sons, Robert St. Pierre of Manchester and Thomas Dors of Bow; three daughters, Doris Milligan of Pebble Beach, Calif., Frances Roux of Concord and Elaine Dors of Acton, Mass.; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

RUSSELL H. BUSSIERE
HOOKSETT – Russell H. Bussiere, 70, of West River Road, died in December while doing what he enjoyed most – hunting.
He was born in Concord on May 1, 1937, to Arthur and Harriett (Duckworth) Bussiere. He lived almost 40 years in Suncook before making his home in Hooksett in 1975.
Mr. Bussiere joined the U.S. Army in 1959, serving in Germany with the 18th Infantry Division, and he was later assigned to the Army Reserve. He was a member of the John J. Maguire American Legion Post No. 2860 and the VFW Post No. 28, both of Suncook.
He worked for National Fence and Granite for 32 years and founded Granite State Curbing Setters in 1986. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the Suncook Valley Rod and Gun Club. He was also a Red Sox fan and a season ticket holder for the Winter League in Fort Myers, Fla.
Mr. Bussiere was predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Barbara (Williams) Bussiere.
Family members include three children and their spouses, Kathy and David Carter of Center Barnstead, Michael and Susan Bussiere of Allenstown, and Richard and Jessica Bussiere of Pembroke; his companion, Sue Cabaniss of Hooksett; five grandchildren, Keith and Jenny Carter of Barnstead, Nicholas and Taylor Bussiere of Allenstown and Nathaniel Bussiere of Pembroke; a brother, Richard Bussiere of Hooksett; a sister, Ann Emond of Hooksett; a stepsister, Esther Perron of Concord; and nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated May 17 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown.

JANE M. THIBODEAU
GILMANTON – Jane Marie Thibodeau, 35, of Gilmanton Iron Works, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, after a battle with abdominal cancer.
She was born Feb. 27, 1973, to Thomas P. and Margaret Jane Coito.
Mrs. Thibodeau graduated from Concord College for hair design and owned her own business making clothes for dogs. She was well loved and always smiling. She was a great mother, daughter, sister and friend to all who knew her.
Family members include her parents; her husband, Todd J. Thibodeau; two children, Breanna and Tyler Thibodeau; four sisters, Sandra Lahr, Barbara, Debbie and Cathy; two brothers, John and Mike; her grandmother; and numerous other relatives.
Services will take place Saturday, May 10, at 1 p.m., at the Gilmanton Community Church, 1807 Route 140, Gilmanton Iron Works, NH 03837.

WILLIAM F. SHIVELY
ALLENSTOWN – William F. Shively, 60, of River Road, died May 3, 2008, at Concord Hospital.
He was born in Columbia City, Ind., on March 15, 1948, to Max Shively and Louella (Burnworth) (Shively) Ayers of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Mr. Shively lived in Manchester before making his home in Allenstown for the past 18 years.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Shively pursued a degree in business. He worked as a computer quality engineer for Sentillion in Andover, Mass.
He was a football and NASCAR fan and enjoyed working with computers, even in his spare time.
Family members, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Ilze (Holiskey) Shively of Allenstown; three daughters, Karen Cumings of St. Marys, Ga., and Laura Shively and Brenda Shively, both of Allenstown; two brothers, Terrence Shively of Whitehouse, Ohio, and Ted Shively of Churubusco, Ind.; two sisters, Darlene Clevenger of Roanoke, Ind., and Katherine Guthrie of Angola, Ind.; and nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, committal services will take place Friday, May 9, at 3 p.m. at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. The Rev. Ryan Bradley of Manchester Life Church will officiate.
ELLSWORTH V. BROWN
WEARE – Ellsworth V. Brown, 84, of Lull Road, died April 29, 2008, at Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough after a brief illness.
He was born in Mason on Sept. 27, 1923, to Fred L. and Emily (Vatcher) Brown. He was raised in Mason, and lived most of his life there. He moved to Weare in 1990.
Mr. Brown was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was drafted in March 1943 and sent to Camp Shelby, Miss., for basic training. He also had further training in California. After training, he was stationed in England before being deployed to Utah Beach in France, serving with the 965th Engineer Maintenance Co. He was discharged in November 1945.
He worked for more than 20 years at Greenville Auto, Greenville.
He later worked 12 years for Hitchner Manufacturing in Milford, retiring in 1990.
Mr. Brown enjoyed camping and spending winters in Florida. He especially loved his pets.
Family includes his wife of 55 years, Carmen M. (Morneau) Brown; a son, Wallace A. Brown, of Mason; two daughters, Lisa E. Koblenz and Pamela Greene, both of Weare; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
