Col. Norman G. Paré, M.D.

HAMPTON FALLS - Col. Norman G. Paré, M.D. (U.S. Air Force - retired) 68, of 11 Baldwin Place, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, in Exeter Hospital.

He was born March 12, 1933, in Manchester, the son of the late Ernest A. and Yvonne (Poisson) Paré. He resided in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Topsfield, Mass., before moving to Hampton Falls in 1995.

He was a 1951 graduate of St. Joseph High School, Manchester, a 1955 graduate of Manhattan College, New York City, and a 1959 graduate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine.

Dr. Paré served his internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., from 1959 to 1960 and his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Chelsea/Boston, Mass., from 1962 to 1965.

His private practice took him to Beverly (Mass.) Hospital from 1968 until 1982. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1982 and served as a colonel for 40 years. He was chief of staff at Eglin Air Force Base Hospital in Florida before his retirement in 1996.

Dr. Paré served in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm from 1990 until 1995 and was the recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Training Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Longevity Service Award and the Outstanding Unit Award.

He was a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Hampton, and St. Mary Church in Fort Walton Beach.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Margaret (Griffin) Paré of Hampton Falls; two sons and their wives, Norman G. "Jerry" Jr. and Elizabeth Paré of Georgetown, Mass., and Matthew J. and Anne Paré of Fort Walton Beach; one daughter and her husband, Michelle and Timothy O'Brien of Hampton Falls; three grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine Doucet of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Hampton. After cremation burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hampton Falls.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Oncology Clinic of Exeter Hospital, 10 Buzzell Ave., Exeter, NH 03833 or to the charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are by the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, Hampton.

Janice C. Pepper

RAYMOND - Janice C. (Snow) Pepper, 43, of 26 Scribner Road, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, in Elliott Hospital, Manchester, after a lengthy battle with an aggressive brain tumor.

She was born March 28, 1958, in Dedham, Mass., the daughter of Frank "Bub" and Eleanor (Tomilson) Snow and had resided in Raymond for 14 years.

Mrs. Pepper was an assistant manager of the Raymond Shop 'n Save deli and seafood department where she had worked since it first opened. She was honored as the Associate of the Month in November 2000.

She was the assistant coach of the Pee-Wee Division Girls' State Champions of the Nor-Rock Viking Cheerleading program and was an active supporter of the Raymond Youth Soccer programs.

Mrs. Pepper contributed to many of the fund-raising efforts for the community including the Raymond Fire and Police departments.

She excelled in sports and was an avid water skier and enjoyed spending summers at Great East Lake in East Wakefield.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 17 years, Robert W. Pepper of Raymond; one son, Warren F. Pepper of Raymond; one daughter, Brittany E. Pepper of Raymond; one sister, Elaine McCarthy of Taunton, Mass.; three brothers, Larry Snow of Mashpee, Mass., Frank Snow of Amherst and Kenny Snow of Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday in St. Joseph Church, Epping. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond.

Arrangements were by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond.

Steve P. Plumley

ELLIJAY, Ga. - Steve P. Plumley, 37, of John Teem Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, in Murray County Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Laurie Plumley of Ellijay; one son, Chris Plumley of Ellijay; his mother, Linda Plumley of Ellijay; and his father- and mother-in-law, James and Lois Ringland of Seabrook.

Funeral services were held Saturday in the chapel of the Bernhardt Funeral Home, Ellijay, with the Rev. Mark Kelly and the Rev. Edith Murray officiating. Burial was in Yukon Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to The Lupus Foundation, P.O. Box 79563, Baltimore MD 21279-0563.

Graceann Repczynski

FREMONT - Graceann (Lepore) Repczynski, 66, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2002, at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was born Feb. 29, 1935, in Worcester, Mass., the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Grace E. (Harrison) Lepore. She resided in Plaistow for many years before moving to Fremont.

She was educated in Newton, Mass., schools and was a 1954 graduate of Newton High School.

Mrs. Repczynski served as a Plaistow police officer.

She was the founder of The Acting Company, a Haverhill, Mass., theater organization with many shows held in the Haverhill City Hall Auditorium. She also produced the melodrama featured during Plaistow's Old Home Day for more than 15 years. She was involved with dinner theater productions in greater Haverhill serving as a producer and costumer.

She was a member of Holy Angels Parish, Plaistow.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Repczynski of Fremont; three daughters and their husbands, Diana and Michael Reardon of Lakeland, Fla., Cheryl and John Wheeler of Lawrence, Mass., and Laura and David Bilodeau of Epping; three sons and their wives, Thomas E. and Patricia M. Vlack of Plaistow, James E. and Anne Vlack of Haverhill and Robert A. and Angie Vlack of Kingston; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jane Barclay of Vernon, British Columbia.

Calling hours will be held Friday, Feb. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the C. Frank Linnehan & Son Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, Atkinson Depot Road, (Route 121), Plaistow. Spring burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery, Plaistow.

Memorial donations may be made to the Oblates of the Virgin Mary, 1105 Boylston St., Boston, MA 02215 or to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115.

Kathryn C. Smith

NEWMARKET - Kathryn C. Smith, 81, of Bay Road, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, in Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Dover.

She was born July 13, 1920, in Roslindale, Mass., the daughter of John J. and Mary (Glynn) Moynihan and had resided in Newmarket since 1959.

Mrs. Smith has been a trustee of the Newmarket Trust Funds since 1981 and for the past several years was in charge of the annual high school scholarships. She was a member and past president of the Newmarket Women's Club.

She is survived by her husband, A. Dickson Smith of Newmarket; one son, Lawrence D. Smith of Surry; four grandchildren; two brothers, Vincent Moynihan of Florida and Bruce MacVarnish of Plymouth, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Francis J. Moynihan, who was killed in World War II, and John "Jack" Moynihan, who died in 1996.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by the Kent and Pelczar Funeral Home, Newmarket.

Lionell A. Cascio

RAYMOND - Lionell A. "Butch" Cascio, 65, of Green Road, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at his home after courageous year-long battle from complications following surgery.

He was born March 5, 1936, in Roxbury, Mass., the son of the late Joseph and Angelina (Maggio) Cascio. He was raised by Angelo and Mae Aquino in Somverille, Mass., and had resided in Raymond for 35 years.

He was a 1954 graduate of Somerville High School and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Cascio owned and operated Auto Trans in Raymond for 20 years. He had previously been a mechanic for Genest Ford and Chrysler-Plymouth in Manchester for many years.

He was a former member of the Derry Sportsmen's Club and was a ham radio operator using the call letters N1VWR.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and training hunting dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Helena "Honey" Cascio of Raymond; tow daughters, Lynn Paquette of Allenstown and Denise Cascio Bolduc of Hooksett; one son, Kim Cascio of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; two grandchildren; six siblings, Florence, Nunzio, Angel, Ollie, Pearl and Kenny; and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church, Candia. A reception will follow at noon at Denise Bolduc's home, 6 Sunrise Blvd., Hooksett.

Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond.

Charles B. Clark

BRENTWOOD - Charles B. Clark, 87, of North Road, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home.

He was born June 4, 1914, in Hampstead and was a lifelong resident.

Mr. Clark was an active member of Hampstead Congregational Church, where he served as a deacon, passed the collection plate and handled maintenance.

He was a former member of the Hampstead School Board, serving for 19 years.

The widower of Jennie M. (Cartier) Clark, who died in 1985, he is survived by one daughter, Jean E. Sharpe of Danville; two sons, Everett C. Clark of Pelham and Allen W. Clark of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth H. Clark of Hampstead; several nieces and nephews; and his companion, Elizabeth Boisse of Sandown.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Home, 15 Birch St., Derry.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Hampstead Congregational Church, Main Street, Hampstead. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry.

Memorial donations may be made to Hampstead Congregational Church, Main St., Hampstead, NH 03841.

Arthur H. Courteau

EXETER - Arthur Henri Courteau, 75, of 12 Lee's Mobile Home Park, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born May 27, 1926, in Auburn, Mass., the son of the late Lucien and Alice (Vaudreuil) Courteau and had resided in Fremont for 31 years before coming to Exeter.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving as a torpedo man.

Mr. Courteau owned and operated Martco Engravers for 35 years. He had previously been employed by Raytheon and Sanders Associates.

He enjoyed square dancing, round dancing and camping. He was an avid ham radio operator.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice (Dolson) Courteau of Exeter; two daughters, Gail Dennis of Holden, Mass., and Linda Courteau of Worcester, Mass.; three stepchildren, Francis, Carol and John; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Irene Clark and Virginia Weagle, both of the Worcester area; one brother, Robert Courteau of Mulberry, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at his home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH 03833 or to the charity of one's choice.

Arrangements were by the Brewitt Funeral Home Exeter.

Donald J. Evans

EXETER - Donald J. Evans, 74, of Main Street, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, after a sudden illness while on vacation in Melbourne, Fla.

He was born July 31, 1927, in Winthrop, Mass., the son of the late Harold and Mildred (Eldridge) Evans.

He was a graduate of Cushing Academy and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

Mr. Evans was a hardware representative for many years. Following his retirement he worked part-time at a hardware store in Seabrook.

He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Exeter Country Club. He enjoyed horse racing.

He is survived by two daughters, Leslie Evans of Portsmouth and Sherry Horreanopolis of Princeton, Mass.; one son and his wife, Don and Ronda Evans of Peta Luma, Calif.; four grandchildren; four brothers, Sam Evans of Pennsylvania, Harold Evans and Richard Evans, both of Winthrop, and Mike Evans of Florida; several nieces and nephews; and his companion of 20 years, Irene Hennessey of Cambridge, Mass.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Christ Church Episcopal, 43 Pine St., Exeter. Burial will follow in Exeter Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Exeter Public Library for talking books for the blind, Chestnut St., Exeter, NH 03833.
