JOSEPH J. YADVISH SR., 71, of TOMS RIVER
JOSEPH J. YADVISH SR., 71, of TOMS RIVER, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at home. Born in Hazleton, Pa., he lived in Manville for 25 years before moving to Toms River in 1994. He retired in 1993 after 42 years as an instrument mechanic with Union Carbide in Bound Brook. He was a former member of the National Guard, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and retired from the Army Reserves as a sergeant first class, serving as instructor for special weapons. He was a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader with Troop and Pack 193, Manville, for 35 years, and was a Boy Scout patch collector. He was a member of the American Legion; life member of Elks Lodge 2119, Manville; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10185, Toms River; president of the Carefree Men's Club of Toms River; president and secretary of the Carefree Anglers Club of Toms River; and secretary of the board of directors for the Carefree community. He played Santa Claus for more than 30 years at the Manville-Hillsborough Elks Lodge 2119 for disabled children. He was a builder of plastic models of military aircraft and vehicles, and he made wooden crafts. He played tenor and soprano saxophone, clarinet and organ; played in the band "The Jays" for the Carefree community; sang in the Carefree Choir and with the Stouthearted Men's Choir; and was a member of the Carefree Variety Show.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Simchik Yadvish. Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Isabella M. Franzoso Yadvish; four sons, Paul R. Ceiswich Yadvish of Thomasville, N.C., Matthew A. Ceiswich Yadvish of Budd Lake, Joseph Yadvish Jr. of Hawaii, and Michael Yadvish of New Jersey; a daughter, Lisa Ann Yadvish of Florida; several grandchildren; a sister, Helen Vrabel of Manville; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Memorial contributions may be made to Caring Hospice, 525 Route 70 West, Suite B-15, Lakewood, NJ 08701.

KEITH H. HARMS, 38, of PINE BEACH
KEITH H. HARMS, 38, of PINE BEACH, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at home after a lengthy illness. He was an avid hunter and a racing enthusiast. He was a heavy equipment manager for George Harms Co. before becoming disabled three years ago. Born in Pompton Plains, he lived in Freehold Township before moving to Pine Beach 10 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Marianne; his parents, William and Lonnie Harms, of Freehold Township; and one brother, Darrell Harms of Wall.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Chapel, Freehold. Interment will be at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.

MARION G. NEVAD, 87, of LAKEWOOD, who died Saturday, Feb. 14, at home was predeceased by a daughter, Lillian Greco, in 2001. This information was in correct in yesterday's Asbury Park Press. Holmdel Funeral Home, Holmdel, is in charge of arrangements.

RACHEL CAMILLO, 99, of TOMS RIVER
RACHEL CAMILLO, 99, of TOMS RIVER, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at Community Medical Ceneter, Toms River. Born in Monangah, W.Va., she lived in most of her life in Jersey City and lived in Lyndhurst for 18 years before moving to Toms River in 1990.
She was predeceased by her husband, Camillo Camillo; and her parents, John and Laetitia Grandinetti Sardella. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Sophie and Sam Martorano of Toms River; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Anna Camillo of Delray Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irma Baratta of Stuart, Fla., and Josephine DeMarco of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church, Toms River.

ROBERT T. PICTON, 87, of BRICK
ROBERT T. PICTON, 87, of BRICK, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at Meridian Nursing Home, Brick. He was a truck driver for Rheingold Brewery in East Orange for approximately 30 years, retiring in the 1970s. He was a communicant of St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church, Brick. Born in Plymouth, Pa., he lived in Bloomfield before moving to Brick five months ago.
He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Freda Picton, in 1992; and a brother, George W. Picton, in 2003. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Harriet Picton of Brick; several nieces, nephews; and a grandniece.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home, Brick.

SYLVIA MARCIO LIGAY, 90, of JACKSON
SYLVIA MARCIO LIGAY, 90, of JACKSON, died Friday, Feb. 13, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She had been employed by Otis Elevator, Yonkers, N.Y., as an assembly operator, retiring in 1975. She was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township, and a member of the Howell Senior Citizens. Born in Yonkers she lived in the Villages, Howell, before moving to Jackson a year ago.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Ligay, in 1979; her daughter, Jean Pisacano, in 2001; a grandson, Scott Pisacano; her three brothers, Martin, Frederick and John Marcio; and two sisters, Caroline Mika and Veronica Kuczkowski. Surviving are a son-in-law, George Pisacano of Jackson; two grandchildren, George Pisacano of Ponte Vedre Beach, Fla., and Susan Hughes of Lakewood; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. today at George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. A funeral gathering will be held at 8 a.m. at the funeral home with the Funeral Liturgy to follow at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 61 George Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Yonkers.

Emma Mathis
Emma Mathis, 81, died Wednesday, July 17. Emma was born in Tuckerton and moved to Florida in 1980. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star in Tuckerton.
She is survived by her husband, Orval; three daughters, Anita Matlack, Fla., Diane Friberg, Gloucester, and Helen Harper, Fla.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The National Cremation Society is in charge of arrangements.

Ema M. Jensen, 78, dress maker
GREEN BROOK -- Ema M. Jensen, 78, of Green Brook died on Saturday (Feb. 14, 2004).
Mrs. Jensen was born in Birkenberg, Germany, coming to the United States in 1952, and had lived in Dunellen for 15 years before moving to Green Brook 35 years ago.
Mrs Jensen was a dress maker and has worked at Bridals by Anita in Green Brook before retiring.
She was a member of the Plainfield Gesang Und Turn Verein in North Plainfield. Mrs. Jensen was also a member of the First German Reform Church in North Plainfield.
She was the beloved wife, for 55 years, of Uwe Jensen; the mother of Marion Jensen of Dunellen and Rita and her husband, Joseph Puleo, of Watchung; grandmother of Kimberly and Lance Puleo; sister of Ingrid Kaese of Whitehouse, Edeltraut Duda, Christel Fritsch and Horst Wietoska all of Germany.
The family will gather 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 223 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bound Brook.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in her name to The Greater NY Chapter of the ALS Association, 116 John St., NY, NY 10038, for research.

TOMS RIVER -- Joseph J. Yadvish Sr., 71, of Toms River died Saturday (Feb. 14, 2004) at home. Born in Hazleton, Pa., Mr. Yadvish resided in Manville for 25 years before moving to Toms River in 1994.

Ruth Kane Waldron, 93, mother and wife
RARITAN TOWNSHIP -- Ruth Kane Waldron, 93, of Raritan Township died Saturday (Feb. 14, 2004) in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township.
Born in Reaville, Jan. 3, 1911, daughter of the late George and Zaidee Quick Kane, she had resided most of her life in Raritan Township, Delaware Township and Flemington. She also formerly resided in Freehold for five years.
She was a school bus driver for Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Flemington, and afterward employed by Hunterdon Occupational Training Center, Raritan Township.
She was a member of the Amwell Church of the Brethren, Delaware Township, and the Flemington-Raritan Senior Citizens. She always maintained beautiful flower gardens and enjoyed her family.
Her husband, J. Stanley Waldron, died in 1972. She is also predeceased by four brothers, Robert, John L., George and Horace Kane; and three sisters, Helen Pegg, Alice Cronce and Martha Roth.
Surviving are two daughters, Dale McPherson of Delaware Township, and Joan Courser of West Halifax, Vt.; a son, Douglas Waldron of East Amwell Township; a sister, Mary Edgar of Raritan Township; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington. Internment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Amwell Church of the Brethren, 40 Sandbrook-Headquaters Road, Stockton, NJ 08559.

PETRINA MAZZA-KOCHOL, AGE 90, SOMERSET
Petrina Mazza-Kochol, 90, of the Somerset section of Franklin Township died yesterday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in Anita, Pa., Mrs. Mazza-Kochol has been a resident of Somerset for many years. Mrs. Mazza-Kochol had been employed as a dressmaker and seamstress by Bond Clothing Co. in New Brunswick for many years before retiring in 1978.
She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Mrs. Mazza-Kochol was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Vita (Medile) Mazza, she was also predeceased by her husband, John, who died in 1991; her sister, Carmella Fama, who died in 2003, as well as her other siblings, and a grandnephew, David Serge. Surviving are her brother-in-law, Samuel Fama, with whom she resided for over 55 years in Somerset; her nephew and his wife, Peter and Chris Fama of East Windsor; two nieces, Petrina (Fama) Serge and her husband, Anthony, of Lawrenceville and Vita Signore Schiemann and her husband, Peter, of Somerset, and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews, including Kiralie Fama and Kimberly Serge.
Funeral services will be held at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Gowen Funeral Home, LLC, 233 Somerset St., New Brunswick, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church, New Brunswick. Burial will take place at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Relatives and friends may call from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
