REV. R. PAUL MUELLER, AGE 64, SOMERSET
The Rev. R. Paul Mueller, 64, of Somerset died yesterday, Feb. 15, 2004, at his residence.
Born in Springfield, Mass., he lived in East Windsor, Conn., before moving to Somerset 15 years ago. He was a minister at The Unitarian Society in East Brunswick for the past 15 years. He was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Society in Manchester, Conn. The Rev. Mueller had interned under the Rev. Jack Mendelsohn at the First Parish Church of Bedford, in Bedford, Mass.
The Rev. Mueller was a 1985 graduate of Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Conn. He received his master's in divinity in 1988 from Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Center, Mass. The Rev. Mueller was past chairman of the East Brunswick Clergy Council. He had taught church history and polity at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa., at the New Brunswick Seminary, and at Drew University and Union Theologic Seminary in New York City.
He was the son of the late Gilbert and Ethel (Richmond) Mueller. He is survived by his wife, Peg (Lathrop) Mueller; a son, James of Somerset; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Christopher Rossano of Chelmsford, Mass., and three grandchildren, Margaret, Joseph and Benjamin Rossano.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at The Unitarian Society, 176 Tices Lane, East Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Friday at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N. Main St. at Riva Avenue, Milltown. The family requests donations to Outreach Ministries, c/o Unitarian Society, 176 Tices Lane, East Brunswick, NJ 08816 or the "Fund for the Living Tradition," c/o UUA, 25 Beacon St., Boston, MA 02108-2800.

Angela Santoro, 97, homemaker
SOUTH PLAINFIELD -- Angela Santoro, 97, died on Sunday (Feb 15, 2004) in her son`s home.
Born in Lione, Italy, she came to the United States in 1947, residing in Washington, D.C., for 20 years. Mrs. Santoro moved to South Plainfield in 1968.
She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield.
Her husband, Sabino Santoro, died in 1967.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Carmine and Philomena Calabrese of South Plainfield; three step-daughters, Mary Celia of Silver Springs, Md., Kathleen Pollack of Virginia and Millie Baffronoe of Florida. Also surviving are her loving grandchildren and loving great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in the McCriskin Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, South Plainfield. Internment will be noon Thursday in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, Md.
Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Cecilia Pisula Dudek, retired inspector
LINDEN -- Cecilia (Poczatek) Pisula Dudek, 96, of Linden died Friday (Feb. 13, 2004) at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway.
Born in Bendziemysl, Poland, before coming to the United States in 1929 where she lived in Elizabeth until moving to Linden in 1952.
She was an inspector for Singer Manufacturing Company in Elizabeth for 27 years, retiring in 1973.
She was a communicant of St. Adalbert Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth. She was also a member of the St. Adalbert Rosary Society.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Pisula, in 1946; and her grandson, John Pisula III.
She is survived by her son, John F. Pisula Jr. of Piscataway; her daughter, Helen Kwiatek of Piscataway; her six grandchildren, Candice Pisula, Penny Diefenbach, and Anthony Jr., Joseph J., John F. and Mark A. Kwiatek; and her six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 9:15 a.m. Tuesday from the Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East St. George Ave., Linden. A funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Adalbert Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth. Internment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Linden.
Visiting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.

Dorothy Saranczak Donatelli, wife, mother and grandmother
SOUTH PLAINFIELD -- Dorothy Saranczak Donatelli, 76, of South Plainfield died Saturday (Feb 14, 2004) at her home.
Dorothy was born and raised in Elizabeth and moved to South Plainfield 58 years ago.
Dorothy was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield and a member of the South Plainfield Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Silvio Donatelli; her sons, James S. Donatelli of Kansas City, Kan., Arthur K. Donatelli of Sonoita, Ariz., and David J. Donatelli of Hillsborough; her daughter, Diane M. Riepl of Monmouth Beach; her sisters, Helen Walker of Raritan and Stella Schnitzer of Westfield; her loving grandchildren, James Christian, Amy Jo, Kari Lee, David James, Tyler and Oscar Silvio.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Thursday from the James W. Conroy Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Ave, South Plainfield, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield. Burial will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
Relatives and friends are invited to call the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

RICHARD STEPHEN CATANZARO, 49, of SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS,
RICHARD STEPHEN CATANZARO, 49, of SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, died on Saturday, March 20. He was well-respected and loved by everyone who knew him and touched the lives of even those who didn't. Nine years ago he moved to San Antonio when he was recruited by H.E. Butt Grocery Co. where he was director of seafood, deli and food service product development, procurement and merchandising. He headed the seafood department for H-E-B for nine years in which time he tripled sales. He was an innovator in marketing seafood within the grocery store format and was responsible for numerous products that have become staples at the H-E-B chain. He was an important part of the National Fisheries Institute, Special Olympics (on behalf of H-E-B Seafood). He was a speaker for such events as the Texas A&M Shrimp Summit, International Ground Fish Conference in Barcelona, Spain; National Shrimp Processors; and International Shrimp Processors; and testified before the International Trade Commission. He was a major supporter and promoter of the Gladys Porter Zoo, the Blessing of the Fleet, the Shrimporee, the Releasing of Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtles; and a major contributor to such publications as "Seafood for Dummies" and "H-E-B's The Cooking Connection's Seafood Recipe Collection." He was involved with countless organizations worldwide throughout his 30-year career in the seafood industry. He was born in North Arlington, and raised in Scotch Plains.
Surviving are his wife Karen Catanzaro; a daughter Nina Catanzaro; a son, Zachary Catanzaro; his mother Nancy Catanzaro; two sisters Connie Ewing and Nancy Walter; and a brother Joseph Catanzaro.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. with a service at 5 p.m. Sunday at Porter Loring North Chapel, 2102 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 26, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Monsignor Douglas Fater officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Catanzaro Family Trust, P.O. Box 34235, San Antonio, TX 78265.

Hannah M. Spingola, 75, formerly of Dunellen
POHATCONG -- Hannah M. Spingola, 75, of Pohatcong, formerly of Dunellen, died Friday (April 16, 2004) at her daughter's home.
Mrs. Spingola was born in Rosevelt, N.Y., to Alexander and Edith Ada Schanschieff.
Mrs. Spingola was a nurse and last worked at Ashbrook Nursing Home in Scotch Plains. She later owned and operated the Country Cottage, a craft store, where she sold many of her own creations, that was located in Dunellen in the 1980s.
She was a member of Original Forks of the Delaware Doll Club, the Eggs Original Club and the Garden State Beads Learning Association.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Spingola; her daughters, Jeannie Rossi of Northampton, Pa., Joanne Durham of Phillipsburg and Joyce Bulkilvish of Pohatcong; her sisters, Barbara Garrison of Manasquan; a brother, Alexander Schanschieff of South Bound Brook; five grandchildren, Alex, Christianne, Kathleen, Heather and Nicholas; and three great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Juliet and Isabella.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral service at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, North Plainfield. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.

AGNES NEWMAN, AGE 81, SPRING LAKE HEIGHTS
Agnes T. (Greshko) Newman, 81, of Spring Lake Heights entered heaven yesterday, April 18, 2004.
Born in Freeland, Pa., she was a resident of Spring Lake Heights for 50 years. Although retired, Agnes was a registered nurse. She was a communicant of St. Catharine's R.C. Church in Spring Lake and also a member of the Beehive Senior Citizen Club. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Predeceased by her husband, John, in 1978, Agnes is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Thomas Kwietniak of Milltown; a sister, Helen Zamborsky of Allentown, Pa.; a granddaughter, Jennifer Kwietniak of Milltown, and her devoted companion, Dick Maurer of Tinton Falls. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home, 152 North Main St., Milltown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in Milltown. Interment will be at St. Catharine's Cemetery, Sea Girt. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monmouth Medical Center Foundation in support of the Jacqueline M. Wilentz Comprehensive Breast Center, 300 Second Ave., Long Branch, NJ 07740.

ALICE HURLEY, AGE 96, GREEN POND
Alice (Lubeck) Hurley, 96, died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Rutherford for 30 years before moving to Green Pond in 1976. Mrs. Hurley was active in numerous historical, environmental and church activities.
Her husband, John H. Hurley, died in 1974. Surviving are a son, Brig. Gen. (Ret.) John A. Hurley of Alexandria, Va.; two daughters, Carolyn H. Kuhlthau of Piscataway and Elizabeth H. Muchmore of Green Pond; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Green Pond Chapel, 8 Notch Road, Green Pond. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, North Brunswick. Relatives and friends may call 9:30 a.m.-10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Green Pond First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 251, Green Pond, NJ 07435, the Green Pond Fire Company, 32, Pleasant Lane, Green Pond, NJ 07435, or to the Somerset Hills Handicapped Riding Center, P.O. Box 305, Oldwick, NJ 08858. ANDREW LAPOS, AGE 53, CRANBURY
Andrew J. Lapos, 53, died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in Coaldale, Pa., he grew up in Old Bridge. He moved to Cranbury several years ago. He was a heavy duty mechanic for AMTRAK, New Brunswick, where he worked for 31 years. A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he belonged to American Legion Post 177 in Old Bridge, where he served in the Color Guard.
He was predeceased by his mother, Tillie Bohensky Lapos, in 2002. Surviving are his father, Andrew B. Lapos of Tamaqua, Pa.; three sisters, Donna Lapos of Jamesburg, Karen MacNeil and her husband, Donald, of Coatesville, Pa., and Deborah Bishop of East Brunswick, and four nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, at The Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Old Bridge. Cremation will be private. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 20, from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. only. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 846 Main St., Fords, NJ 08863.

BLANCHE SALATOWSKI, AGE 80, SOUTH RIVER
Blanche A. Milko Salatowski, 80, died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Care One in East Brunswick.
Born in Perth Amboy, she had resided in South River most of her life. Before her retirement, she was employed as a plant worker with E.R. Squibb & Sons in North Brunswick where she worked for 13 years, and was a member of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Retirees Activity Club. Mrs. Salatowski was a communicant of St. Mary of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in South River where she was a member of the Rosary Society and was also a member of the Union of Polish Women in South River.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley A. Salatowski, in 1989, and by her brothers, Joseph and Edward Milko. Surviving are her daughters, Barbara Kosa of Tucson, Ariz., and Arlene Certo of Monroe Township; her grandchildren, Cynthia M. Certo Parravicini, Frank S. Certo, Kenneth A. Kosa and Paul Kosa; her great-grandchildren, Carly F. Certo and Jack R. Certo, and her sister, Josephine Kanaval of South River.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave., South River, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at St. Mary of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in South River, with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick. Calling hours will be 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Members of St. Mary's Rosary Society will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home for services.
