RAYMOND MASTALSKI SR., AGE: 77, MANVILLE
Raymond J. Mastalski Sr. died Sunday at Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. He was 77.
He was a lifelong resident of Manville.
He retired in 1977 after 38 years as a foreman at Union Carbide Corp. in Bound Brook.
He was honorably discharged in 1946 from the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant after serving during World War II, most notably in the Battle of the Bulge.
He is predeceased by his wife, the former Helen Esock, who died in 1971; two brothers, Frank and Ted; and a sister, Anne Hendlowitch.
Surviving are a son, Raymond Jr., with whom he lived, and two sisters, Hedy Veres of Highland Park and Sophie Malley of Bridgewater.
Private arrangements are under the direction of Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main St., Manville.

BESSIE FOX, 80, of the Loveladies section of LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP
BESSIE FOX, 80, of the Loveladies section of LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP, died Thursday at home. She was a homemaker. She was a parishioner of St. Peter's at the Light Church, Barnegat Light. She was a member of Loveladies Harbor Association and an avid player of duplicate bridge. Born in Gibbsboro, she lived in Laurel Springs and Arvba, West Netherlands, before moving to Loveladies in 1959.
She is survived by her husband, William L.; two daughters, Bonnie Overgaard of Scotts Valley, Calif., and Wendy Liversidge of Newburyport, Mass.; four sisters, Laura Radil, Bagley, Minn., Ruth Wiles, Lake Placid, Fla., Mae Charles, Bellmawr, and Marlyn Ifill, Cherry Hill; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's at the Light Church, Barnegat Light. Burial will be private. Donations in her name can be made to St. Peter's at the Light Church, Barnegat Light, NJ, 08006.

DR. SHARON S. MULLANEY--ERBECK, 50, of SPRING LAKE HEIGHTS and SEA GIRT
DR. SHARON S. MULLANEY--ERBECK, 50, of SPRING LAKE HEIGHTS and SEA GIRT, died Saturday in Sea Girt. She was a self-employed chiropractor in Sea Girt. She was a member of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, Sea Girt. She was a member of New Jersey Chiropractic Society; a social member of the Friendly Sons of the Shilleleigh, Belmar; and a member of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, Sea Girt. She was a graduate of Wyndham College, Vermont, and of New York Chiropractic College in 1978. She was a diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners from 1978 to the present. Born in Newark, she lived in Chatham and Spring Lake Heights before moving to Sea Girt 31 years ago.
She was predeceased by her father, Bert Mullaney, in 1986. Surviving are a son, Gerard, at home; and two daughters, Marita and Ryan, both at home; her mother, Barbara Portuese Mullaney, Spring Lake Heights; and three brothers, William Mullaney, Ocean Township, Thomas Mullaney, Spring Lake, and Kevin Mullaney, Spring Lake Heights.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at O'Brien Funeral Home, Route 35 at New Bedford Road, Wall. Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, Sea Girt. Interment will be at St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Erbeck Education Fund, 509 Union Lane, Brielle, NJ 08730.

HELEN PAKKA DE SARNO, 77, of the Oakhurst section of OCEAN TOWNSHIP
HELEN PAKKA DE SARNO, 77, of the Oakhurst section of OCEAN TOWNSHIP, died Thursday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the New Jersey Destroyer Escort Auxiliary. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Neptune City for 30 years before moving to Oakhurst 32 years ago.
She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Pakka, in 1998. Surviving are her husband, Louis J.; two sons, Richard L., and his wife, Marilyn, Wall, and Gary J., and his wife, Robin, Wall; a sister, Tyna Bennett, Alexandria, Va.; and six grandchildren, Richard Jr., Brian, Alicia, Gary Jr., Grace and Amanda.
Funeral services were private under the direction of Ely Funeral Home, Neptune.

JOHN P. CHAMBERLAIN, 74, of MIDDLETOWN
JOHN P. CHAMBERLAIN, 74, of MIDDLETOWN, died yesterday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He owned and operated Foundry and Forge Co., Middletown, which represented steel manufacturers, for many years until his death. He was a communicant of and a usher for many years at 8:15 a.m. Mass at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth, Middletown. He was a member of St. Mary's Holy Name, Mater Dei Booster Club, Middletown, Friendly Sons of the Jersey Shore, Irish Federation of Monmouth County and Briody's Group, Rumson. He was a captain and strutter for the Happy Days String Band. Born in Johnson City, N.Y., he lived in Newark before moving to Middletown 46 years ago.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Eleanor Murphy Chamberlain; three sons and their wives, Brian and Mary, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Dennis and Cathy, Little Silver, and Michael and Marie, Ocean Township; two daughters and their husbands, Eileen and Bob Smith, Belford, Middletown, and Erin and Gary Reynolds, Brick; a brother, Thomas, Randolph; two sisters, Ruth Mitrowitz and Mary Joan Sheredy, both of Johnson City, N.Y.; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. Interment will be at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Donations in his memory may be made to the Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Foundation.

Eleanor Rosenberg, motor vehicle clerk
BRICK -- Eleanor M. Rosenberg of Brick, 73, died Saturday (Nov. 6, 1999) at home.
Born in Raritan, she lived in North Plainfield before moving to Brick 17 years ago.
Eleanor was a clerk at the Motor Vehicle Office in Silverton, Toms River, for 12 years. She retired four years ago. She was a member of the Friday Good Times Bowling League in Lakewood.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne of Brick and Joseph of New York; a daughter, Karen Haines of Brick; two sisters, Lena Yorlano and Rose Crescenzi both of Brick, and two grandchildren, Steven Haines and Kelly Haines.
Visiting will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrive at 10:30 a.m. Interment Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.

Mary Perantoni, Raritan resident
Mary Perantoni died Thursday (Nov. 4, 1999) at her home in Burke, Va. Born in Raritan, she was the daughter of the late Marianna and Frank Perantoni.
She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. She moved to Virginia in 1996. Surviving are her sister, Angela Perantoni of Burke, Va.; a nephew, Frank B. Pesci of New Carrollton, Md.; a niece, Carla Perantoni Walsh of Fairfax, Va.; and eight grandnieces and grandnephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at the Church of the Nativity, Burke, Va.
For friends and relatives in the New Jersey area a visiting hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cusick Funeral Home in Somerville. Followed by a 10 a.m. interment service at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northern Virginia, P.O. Box 1576 Merrifield, Va. 22116-1576.

Baby Jacque Parrot, of Plainfield
PLAINFIELD -- Baby Jacque H. Parrott, died on Tuesday, (Nov. 2, 1999) at St. Peter`s University Hospital, New Brunswick.
He is survived by his father, John H. Parrot Jr. of Plainfield; mother, Tanya T. McAllister of Plainfield; sister, Qiana D. Hill of Plainfield; brother, Jaylin Parrott of Plainfield; paternal grandparents, Gail and John Parrott Sr. of Plainfield; maternal grandmother, Katie McAllister of Plainfield; maternal grandfather, Ralph McAllister of Elizabeth; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at King`s Temple Ministries, 121-23 New St., Plainfield, N.J. Interment at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Arrangements are by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Ave. New Brunswick, N.J. 08901.

Blandina DeSantis, founder of Brass Rail
BOUND BROOK -- Blandina DeSantis, 94, died Wednesday (Nov. 3, 1999) at Harborside Nursing Home in Bridgewater.
She was born in St. Nicholas, Italy, and moved to Bound Brook in 1925. She was the founder and former proprietor of the Brass Rail Restaurant in Bound Brook. She was a member of the Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary Post, a member of the N.J. Tavern Owner`s Association and a communicant at St. Joseph`s Roman Catholic Church in Bound Brook.
Her husband, Joseph DeSantis, died in 1950.
She is survived by two sons, Lawrence DeSantis of Bound Brook and Joseph DeSantis of Pt. Pleasant, a sister Amelia Bocchino of Glen Cove, Long Island, N.Y., four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Private funeral services were handled by Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, N.J. Interment was at St. Joseph`s Cemetary, Bound Brook.

CHARLES C. SPINELLA, AGE 84, CLARK
Charles C. Spinella died yesterday at Rahway Hospital, Rahway. He was 84.
He was a lifelong resident of Clark.
He retired in 1977 after 18 years in the maintenance department of the Westfield Board of Education. He was previously the proprietor of C. and S. Spinella Decorators, Clark, for 25 years.
He served on the Clark Republican Party committee.
He was a communicant of St. Mark R.C. Church, Rahway.
Surviving are his wife, the former Angie Lonardo; two sons, Robert of Clark and Charles of Winfield Park; a sister, Connie Semler of Tampa, Fla., and two grandchildren.
Services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday at Pettit-Davis Funeral Home, 371 W. Milton Ave., Rahway, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Mark R.C. Church. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Clark.

NORA McCABE, AGE 93, HAZLET
Nora McCabe died Friday at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. She was 93.
She was born in County Clare, Ireland, and lived in Brooklyn, N.Y. She moved to Hazlet five years ago.
She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Hugh, died in 1965.
Surviving are a son, John of Holmdel, and two grandchildren.
Services will be 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Keyport. Burial will be at Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y. Arrangements are by Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport.

MINNA LEFKOWITZ, AGE 86, FRANKLIN
Minna Lefkowitz died Friday at the Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged, Somerset section of Franklin. She was 86.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived there before moving to East Windsor in 1980.
She worked for Lerner Shops, New York City, until her retirement. She previously was owner and operator of a clothing-alteration business in Brooklyn, later becoming a manager for Joyce Leslie, New York City. After her retirement, she started up her business again in East Windsor.
Surviving are a daughter, Myra Cramer of East Windsor; a brother, Morris Minoff of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Ethel Kerchman of Mission Viejo, Calif., and two grandchildren.
Services will be at noon today at Bloomfield-Cooper Funeral Home, 44 Wilson Ave., Manalapan. Burial will be at Washington-Floral Park Cemetery, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.
Shiva will be observed at the home of Myra and Stanley Cramer until Friday.
