Don Crum
OGDENSBURG —Don Crum, 61, of Ogdensburg, passed away at home in the early hours of Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007.
Mr. Crum was an Army veteran who served his country in Vietnam, a lifelong car enthusiast and a man with a passion for helping others.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; his sister, Marian Happ of El Cajon, Calif.; his sister, Deborah Lucas of Indepen-dence; his stepdaughter, Eileen Payack of Fort Plain, N.Y.; his stepson, John Metcalf of Belvidere; a niece, Jessica; a nephew, Jordan; and seven grandchildren, Daniel, Bradley, Melissa, Christian, Jonathan, Brian and Eric.
A memorial service will be held at Word of Life Christian Ministries, 67 Bassett Highway, Dover, on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be given in his name to World Vision online at www.worldvision.org or mailed to World Vision, P.O. Box 9716, Federal Way, WA 98063-9716.
The Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, is in charge of arrangements.

Antoinette LaBarck Scolaro
LAFAYETTE — Antoinette LaBarck Scolaro, 85, of Lafayette, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, at Newton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Mrs. Scolaro lived in Paterson for 60 years, then lived in Toms River for 22 years before moving to Lafayette three years ago. She was a saleswoman at Jacobs 29 Department Store for 25 years before her retirement in 1985.
The daughter of the late Ralph and Irene Gregorio LaBarck, Mrs. Scolaro is survived by her husband, Vincenzo of Lafayette; two daughters, Mary Campbell and her husband, Jeff, of Lafayette, and Sandra Lee Caywood of Fair Lawn; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. Interment will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the New Jersey Parkinson's Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, 1 Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

Carol J. Anthony
ANTHONY, CAROL J., 56, of York, Pa., formerly of Sussex, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007. Visitation: Wednesday, 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at Ferguson Funeral Home, Sussex. Service: 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Carol J. Anthony
YORK, PA. — Carol J. Anthony, 56, formerly of Sussex, died suddenly on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Mark R. Anthony, formerly of Sussex.
The daughter of the late Arlie and Albert Brink, Mrs. Anthony was born on Feb. 27, 1951, in Sussex. She was a graduate of Sussex County Vocational Technical School. She retired in January of 2007 from the Sussex County Homestead after 25 years of dedicated service as a certified senior nurse's aide.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Anthony is survived by her two children, Fred Lauster III and his wife, Jill, of Wilson, N.C., and Arlie Jager and her husband, Jeff, of York; her two brothers, William Leek of Sussex and Glendon Brink of Newton; her sister, Barbara Miller of Mecca Lake; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007 at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third St., Sussex. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, and again from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The Sussex County Homestead, 129 Morris Turnpike, Newton, NJ 07860.

Gloria V. Coughlin
MONTAGUE — Gloria V. Coughlin, 75, passed away on Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at Saint Claire's Hospital in Sussex. Born in Yonkers, N.Y. on Nov. 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William and Miriam Knowles Darville.
Mrs. Coughlin moved to Oakland in 1964 and then to Montague in 1988. She was a member of the Minisink Reformed Church in Montague, where she was treasurer of the Ladies Christian Circle for many years. She was a member of the Montague Grange, Montague Seniors, Montague Quilting Society and M.A.R.C.H.
She was predeceased by her sister, Jeanette Ciralli.
Mrs. Coughlin is survived by her husband, William P. Coughlin; her daughter, Virginia Caputo and her husband, Mark; her two sons, William C. Coughlin and his wife, Debbie and Douglas P. Coughlin and his wife, Kay; four grandchildren, Frank, Ryan, Alexander and Timothy; two great-grandchildren, Belel and Brody; one brother, Charles Darville; and three sisters, Naomi Lewandowsky, Betsy Moore, and Ronie O'Brien; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, N.Y. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. at the Minisink Reformed Church in Montague. The Rev. Angelo Forleo will officiate. Interment will take place at the Minisink Reformed Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 66 Mt. Prospect Ave., Clifton, NJ 07013.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.

LADY LAKE, FLA. — Eleanor Snyder, 79, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at the Villages Regional Hospital. Mrs. Snyder was born in Scranton, Pa., lived in Kearney, the Lake Tamarack section of Stockholm, and the Silverton section of Tom's River, before moving to Lady Lake in 1989. She was employed by the Hardyston Township Police Department as a dispatcher for many years, retiring in 1979. She was an avid bowler and her family was her joy.
Mrs. Snyder is survived by her beloved children, Nancy, Greg, Jeffrey and Janie. Also surviving her are her brother, Larry Kramos; four grandchildren, Gregory Snyder Jr., Gail Fiasco, Alexander Mescher-Snyder and Lacey Mescher-Snyder; and six great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Justin's R.C. Church, 975 Fischer Blvd., Tom's River. Interment of cremated remains shall follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Tom's River. Rigg's Funeral Home, in Forked River, is in care of arrangements.

John V. Duffy
VERNON — John V. Duffy, 44, died after a short illness at home on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007. Born to Vincent and Patricia Duffy in Bronx, N.Y., he lived in Croton on the Hudson River in New York for most of his life before moving to Vernon 12 years ago.
Mr. Duffy graduated from Mercy College in Tarrytown, N.Y. with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He worked as a sales director for C.M.P. Media Company, in New York City, N.Y., and also sold webinar sponsorships. He enjoyed sports, along with golfing and skiing.
Mr. Duffy is the beloved husband of Sandra Trovato Duffy; devoted father of Aidan and Ava ; loving son of Vincent and Patricia Duffy of Croton-on-the-Hudson, N.Y.; dear brother of Edward Duffy of Carmel, N.Y., Patrick Duffy of Monroe, N.Y. and Jane Kotalik of New Paltz, N.Y. Mr. Duffy is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday from the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis deSales R.C. Church in Vernon. Interment will take place at Glenwood Cemetery in Vernon. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714, would be appreciated.
