EDWARD H. STEWART, 76, of Ormond Beach, Fla., formerly of Oakhurst, OCEAN TOWNSHIP, died June 17 in Daytona Beach, Fla. He was superintendent of schools and principal administrator in East Brunswick before retiring. He helped found the Daytona Beach Outreach Community Care Network, a full-service AIDS organization where he was a 14-year volunteer. He also served on its board as treasurer for 10 years and received its highest humanitarian award. He received a doctorate degree and made many contributions to animal organizations. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Oakhurst before moving to Florida 15 years ago.
Surviving are a niece, Judith Smock of Eatontown; and Michael "Mike" Marotta, who helped provide for his care.
A graveside service with military honors will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be made to Outreach Community Care, 119 S. Palmetto Ave., Suite 101, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.

Funeral services for Helen Jager, who died Friday, will be held 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton.

JAMES E. SCARBROUGH JR., 66, of NEPTUNE
JAMES E. SCARBROUGH JR., 66, of NEPTUNE, died Tuesday, at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was a U.S. postal clerk in Eatontown, retiring in 1999. He was a master sergeant in the Air Force for 26 years, specializing in satellite radar communications during the Korean War and Vietnam War. He received many medals of honor. After his retirement from military service, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Eatontown. He attended public schools in Red Bank and Monmouth University, West Long Branch. He was born in Long Branch.
He was predeceased by a sister, Judy Scarbrough Clark; his parents, James and Virginia Epps Scarbrough; and his stepfather, Raymond Lee Sr. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Sanders Scarbrough; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Darrell Bradwell; a grandson, Darrell S. Bradwell; three stepbrothers, Raymond Lee Jr., Lawrence Lee and John Lee; a stepsister, Sharon Lee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Jackson Funeral Home, 242 Neptune Blvd., Neptune. A funeral service will be offered 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.

JAMES W. BEUTELL, 45, of OCEAN TOWNSHIP
JAMES W. BEUTELL, 45, of OCEAN TOWNSHIP, died Thursday at home. Born in Neptune, he was a lifelong area resident.
His mother, Barbara H. Beutell, died in 1996. Surviving are his father, Paul M. Beutell of Oakhurst, Ocean Township; three brothers, Dr. Nicholas Beutell of Millburn, Michael Beutell of Oakhurst, and Paul R. Beutell of Big Pine Key, Fla.; a sister, Laura Crane of Howell; two nephews; and four nieces.
Funeral services will be private. Worden-Hoidal Funeral Home, Oakhurst, Ocean Township, is in charge of arrangements.

JUDITH "KATE" HANNAN, 62, of MANASQUAN
JUDITH "KATE" HANNAN, 62, of MANASQUAN, died June 15 at home as a result of ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease. She was passionate about cooking and baking and was the proprietor of the House of Coffee in Bucks County, Pa. She attended St. Peter's High School and graduated from St. Elizabeth's College, Convent Station. She was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Point Pleasant Beach. She enjoyed fine restaurants, theater, art and enriching the lives of others. Born in New Brunswick, she lived in Bucks County, Pa., for 10 years before moving back to the Jersey Shore in December to be near her family.
Surviving are her partner, John; two sons, Daniel and William; a sister, Mary; a niece, Natalie; a nephew, Robert; and an aunt, Betty.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Church, Point Pleasant Beach. Crematon will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Hope Foundation, 219 North Broad St., Seventh Floor, Box 40777, Philadelphia, PA 19107. The Van Hise & Callagan Leber Funeral Home, Point Pleasant Beach, is in charge of arrangements.

LAURA BELL HAMILTON, 80, of NEPTUNE
LAURA BELL HAMILTON, 80, of NEPTUNE, died Wednesday at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Stafford. She was a clerk at School House Deli, Neptune, for 20 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of O'Brien Major Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2639, Neptune. Born in Neptune, she was a lifelong area resident.
Surviving are a son, Ronald W. Hamilton of Little Egg Harbor; and two grandchildren, Dana and Troy.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Francioni, Taylor & Lopez Funeral Home, 1200 10th Ave. and Atkins Avenue, Neptune. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent, Manalapan.

MARY ELLEN ANKER, 88, of NEPTUNE
MARY ELLEN ANKER, 88, of NEPTUNE, died Thursday at home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Neptune Senior Citizens Club. Born in Reading, Pa., she lived in Asbury Park before moving to Neptune in 1939.
Her husband, Max, died in 1968. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Lou Carroll of Middletown, Rose Marie Harbour of Sheridan, Mich., and Margaret Dierlam of Neptune; eight grandchildren, Debby Mrykalo, Keith Carroll, Michael Carroll, Charles Harbour, Eric Harbour, Stephanie Jensen, Darlene Schrecke, and Wayne Van Lew; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ely Funeral Home, 3316 Route 33, Neptune. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by interment at Monmouth Memorial Park Cemetery, Tinton Falls. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite church or charity.

RAYMON J. PEDRAZA, 41, of HOWELL
RAYMON J. PEDRAZA, 41, of HOWELL, died Friday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. He was a computer technician and technical support supervisor for Avery-Dennison Manufacturing Co., Edison. He was a member of the Abundant Life Church of God in Freehold. Born in Neptune, he lived in Lakewood prior to moving to Howell 19 years ago.
Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Margaret Haggas Pedraza; a son, Ryan at home; a daughter, Andrea Pedraza at home; his father, Ramon Pedraza of Kingman, Ariz.; and his mother, Josephina Muniz of Brockton, Mass.; a brother, Valentine of Philadelphia; and four sisters, Carmen Pedraza of Puerto Rico, and Eda Morales, Yvonne Robles and Wanda Tirado, all of Brockton, Mass.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. The funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Chris Fraley officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, West Main Street, Freehold Township.

RUTH M. ARON, 81 of NEPTUNE CITY, died Thursday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was a homemaker. She was a volunteer at Jersey Shore Medical Center and was a former member of the Neptune City First Aid Squad Auxiliary. Born in Clifton, she lived in Neptune City for the past 35 years.
Her husband, Edgar, died in 1995. Surviving are two brothers, Bernard T. and obitpix Henry D. Wasdyke, both of Bradenton, Fla.; three nephews, Dr. Wesley and Roy Wasdyke of Massachusetts, and Lawrence Wasdyke of New Hampshire; and two nieces, Janet Engel of Massachusetts, and Carolyn Sandor.
Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Ely Funeral Home, 3316 Route 33, Neptune, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Entombment will be at Monmouth Memorial Park Cemetery, Tinton Falls.

THOMAS IANNICELLI, 38, of KEANSBURG, died June 14 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a clerk for Quick-Chek, Middletown, for a few years. Born in Montclair, he lived in Keansburg for 20 years.
His mother, Mary, died in 2000. Surviving are his wife, Cheryl Lita Iannicelli; a son, Joshua at home; two daughters, Samantha at home, and Jennifer of Keyport; a brother, Marc of Keyport; two sisters, Mary Wilson and Esther Iannicelli, both of Keansburg; a goddaughter, Crystle Da Foe of Keansburg; an aunt, Marie Applegate of Fords; and two nieces and a nephew.
A religious service will be held 7 p.m. July 5 at the Pentecostal Church, Carr Avenue, Keansburg.

THOMAS L. BAKER III, 60, of Shark River Hills, NEPTUNE, died Saturday at home after a long battle with cancer. He owned and operated Financial Facts Limited,Neptune. Prior to that, he was a reporter for the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and following the stock market. Born in Somerville, Mass., he lived in Jersey City and Avon before moving to Neptune 20 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen; his daughter, Amanda at home; and his brother, Lewis Haskell of Ashburn, Va.
Visiting hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Ely Funeral Home, 3316 Route 33, Neptune. A funeral service will be offered 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by interment in St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, 432 Rhawn St., Philadelphia, PA 19111.
