Robert C. Keller, U.S. Air Force veteran
HILLSBOROUGH -- Robert C. Keller, 62, died Friday (May 11, 2001) in his home in Hillsborough. Born in Hazelton, Pa., he grew up in Manville and lived in Franklin Township before moving to Hillsborough 21 years ago.
Robert was the chief accounting officer for Bio Search Hydromer in Branchburg for the past 5 years, prior to this he was the assistant controller for Mailing Services in Elizabeth for 10 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the International Management Association.
According to his wife and children, Robert was a wonderful family man who could never say "no" to anyone and was always there for family and friends in their time of need. He was also known for his distinct laugh.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Reva; his sons, Scott and Gregg, and his daughter, Dana, all of Hillsborough; his mother, Mary Keller of Manville; his brothers, Joseph Keller of Boston, Mass. and Richard Keller of Manville.
A funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mary Mother of God Church in Hillsborough. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Route 206, Hillsborough. William Shpock, Willie the watchmaker
MANVILLE -- William Shpock, 77, died Thursday (May 10, 2001) at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Son of the late John and Anna Kicak Spock, he was born and raised in Freeland, Pa. After leaving Freeland, he came to Manville and had resided here for more than 50 years.
Mr. Shpock retired in October, 1981 from the Ford Motor Company in Edison, after 33 and a half years of employment.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine Kopcho Shpock with whom he celebrated 43 years of marriage on August 31, 2000; two sons, Dr. Stephen W. Shpock and his wife, Patricia of Saline, Mich., and Daniel Shpock of Edison; two granddaughters, Christine and Candace Shpock; four brothers, John Spock of Manville, Michael Shpock and Joseph Spock, both of Freeland, Pa., Nicholas Spock, M.D. of Overlook, Pa.; three sisters, Mary Gallagher of Naugatuck, Conn., Anna Pelot of Sugerloaf, Pa., and Catherine Hughes of Millville, Pa.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main St., Manville, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Manville. Burial will be at Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption Cemetery in Perth Amboy. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 00, Manville, NJ 08835.

Joseph W. Perkins, 60, band director, teacher
PLAINFIELD -- Joseph Wendell Perkins, 60, died Tuesday (May 8, 2001) at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield.
Born in Richmond, Va., he lived in Westfield before moving to Plainfield 30 years ago.
Mr. Perkins was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Westfield; a member of the Sanctuary Choir, Oratorio Choir, Westley Singers and was a substitute organist. He was also a member of the Stone Square Lodge No. 38 F&AM P.H.A.
He graduated from Virginia State University in Petersburg, Va. Mr. Perkins was employed by the Board of Education of Plainfield as band director and music teacher. He formerly taught in the Westfield school system.
Surviving are his wife, Janette Perkins; his loving daughter, Wendi Perkins of Richmond, Va.; two stepdaughters, Brenda Marshall of Upper Marlboro, Md. and Sharon Drayton of Plainfield; brothers, Newton and Hamilton Perkins of Richmond, Va. and Morris Perkins of Westfield.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Westfield. Stone Square Lodge No. 38 F&A.M., P.H.A. will hold Ritulistic Services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements are by Judkins Colonial Home in Plainfield.

Mary Hart, 82, past VFW Auxiliary president
SCOTCH PLAINS -- Mary Klizas Hart, 82, died Thursday (May 10, 2001) at her home in Scotch Plains. Born in St. Clair, Pa., she lived in Kearny before moving to Scotch Plains more than 40 years ago.
Mrs. Hart had worked at Prudential Insurance in Newark before becoming a sales associate at Sears in Watchung. She retired from Sears in 1981. She was a member and past president of the VFW Auxiliary, Post 10122 in Scotch Plains; a member of the Golden Age in Scotch Plains; and a member of St. Bartholomew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Scotch Plains.
She was predeceased by her husband, William, who died May 10, 2000.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda A. Horvath of Rahway and Jayne H. Danco and her husband, Jeff of Bridgewater; her brother, John Klizas of Stratford, Conn.; her sister, Anna Wargo of St. Clair, Pa.; and four grandchildren, Dan Horvath, Carrie Horvath, James Danco and Kevin Danco.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood, following with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Westfield Avenue in Scotch Plains. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Central Jersey Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, 1 Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08903 or Center for Hope Hospice, 176 Hussa St., Linden, NJ 07036.

MARY HART, AGE 82, SCOTCH PLAINS
Mary Klizas Hart, 82, died Thursday at her home in Scotch Plains.

Lillian Lysy, homemaker
FLEMINGTON -- Lillian Lysy, 92, died Saturday (June 23, 2001) in Passaic Beth Israel Hospital in Passaic.
She was a homemaker. Her husband, Paul Lysy, died in 1984.
Surviving are her son, Robert Lysy of Flemington; her grandchildren, Dina and Brian Lysy, and her great-granddaughter, Amy Lynn Lysy.
Private funeral arrangements are by the McCriskin Home For Funerals, South Plainfield.

Paul H. Burdette Jr., Vietnam veteran
EASTON, Pa. -- Paul H. Burdette Jr., 56, formerly of High Bridge, died Thursday (June 21, 2001) in Gracedale, Nazareth, Pa.
He was born in Hackensack on March 8, 1945. His parents were the late Paul H. Sr. and Bernice Smith Burdette.
Mr. Burdette served with the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. He was employed by Smith Kline Beecham of Piscataway, as a chemical operator, for 23 years. He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantel Catholic Church in Wilson Borough, Pa. He was a member of the Holy Name Society at the church and also was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Easton, Pa. Mr. Burdette was an exempt fireman in High Bridge.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine M. Buranich Burdette; three sons, Scott T. Burdette, Steven P. Burdette and Shaun A. Burdette, all at home; and his brother, Roy Burdette of Camarillo, Calif..
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. today at the Curran-Finegan Funeral Home, Wilson Borough, Pa., followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jane's Catholic Church. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery, Easton, Pa.

Kenneth Bruce Snyder, carpenter, guitarist
EDISON -- Kenneth Bruce Snyder, 35, died Friday (June 22, 2001) at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. He was born in Jersey City and had been a lifelong resident of Edison.
Mr. Snyder was a self-employed carpenter for 15 years. He was an avid blues guitar player for most of his life, beginning when he was 8 years old.
Surviving are his parents, Ronald and Marilyn Snyder of Edison; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and AnneMarie Snyder, Keith and Jennifer Snyder, and Richard and Dianne Snyder, all of Piscataway; his niece, Desiree Snyder of Piscataway; and four nephews, Ronnie Snyder, Eric Snyder, Rich Jr. Snyder and Michael Snyder, all of Piscataway.
A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Piscataway. Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by the Piscataway Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make A Wish Foundation, in memory of Kenneth Bruce Snyder, 1034 Salem Road, Union, NJ 07083.

Trina Iris Grant, home health-care aide
PISCATAWAY -- Trina Iris Grant ("Bones"), 33, died Wednesday (June 20, 2001) at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had been a resident of Piscataway for the past 11 years.
She was employed as a home health-care aide in the Somerset County area for six years and was an attendant for Ryder Bus Company in Piscataway for two years. She was a member of the McClinton Baptist Church of Brooklyn for 27 years and had been a member of the young adult choir.
Surviving are her parents, Vergie Blount and James H. Blount, both of Piscataway; six sisters, Darlene Griffin, Cheryl Gipson and Anita Blount, all of Edenton, N.C., Carlesta Blount of Somerset, and Priscilla Grant and Margie Grant, both of Plainfield; six brothers, Ray Blount of Columbia, S.C., James Blount Jr. of Edenton, N.C., Joseph Grant of Brooklyn, N.Y., Craig Grant, Derrick Grant and Barry Blount, all of Piscataway; and her grandmother, Emma Grant of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McClinton Baptist Church, 303 Malcolm X Blvd., Brooklyn. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Judkins Colonial Home in Plainfield.
