NICHOLAS MIELE JR., 42, of MATAWAN, died Tuesday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was a truck driver for Nick Miele Trucking, Cliffwood, working with his father for the past 25 years. He was a member of Raritan Road Runners Motorcycle Club, Red Bank. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church and first past president of the Parish Leadership Committee of St. Joseph's. He was a member of the New Jersey Motor Truck Association. Born in Newark, he lived in Iselin before moving to Matawan in 1972.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Paduano Miele; two sons, Anthony Miele and Christopher Miele, both at home; a stepson, Nicholas Criscuolo of Keyport; his parents, Nicholas Sr. and Carmela Miele of Holmdel a brother, Joseph Miele of Holmdel; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Theresa and John Longette of Matawan, and Melanie and Mark Shroyer of Neptune; and a niece, Emily Shroyer.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport.

MILDRED CAPRAUN, 90, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., formerly of HAZLET
MILDRED CAPRAUN, 90, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., formerly of HAZLET, died Nov. 20 in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
Her husband, Ernest, died in 1975. Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward of Florida, Robert and Charlotte of Florida, and William of Hazlet; two daughters and a son-in- law, Eleanor and William Jones, and Geraldine Capraun, all of Florida; a sister, Bernice Toynbee of Florida; two daughters-in-law, Trena Capraun of Union Beach, and Carol Capraun of Highlands; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark's Church, Keansburg. Burial will follow in Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals, Keansburg, is in charge of arrangements.

WILLIAM H. MEYER, 59, of PINE BEACH
WILLIAM H. MEYER, 59, of PINE BEACH, died June 8 while in Atsugi, Japan. He was employed from 1989 to 1996 at Commander Fighter Air Western Pacific Command in Atsugi, Japan. He was a chief petty officer with the Navy for 30 years, retiring in 1989. His tours of duty included naval air facilities in Iwakuni, Japan, Brunswick, Maine, Keflavik, Iceland, Kingsville, Texas, and Atsugi, Japan. He also served aboard the USS Essex and the USS Midway. He was a member of the Retired Chief Petty Officers Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9503, Bayville, American Legion Post 129, Toms River, and the Disabled American Veterans. Born in Elizabeth, he traveled to many places during his military career. He resided in Atsugi, Japan, for many years and has been living in Pine Beach for the past four years.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Keiko Tagami Meyer; two sons, James of Lakewood, and Robert of Japan; two daughters, Miki Ikegami and Kazuko Tagami, both of Japan; four sisters, Cindy Bunnell of West Creek, Alice Banks of Nevada, Pat Zinke of Howell, and Kathleen Marshall of Bayville, Berkeley; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass 10 a.m. today in St. Barnabas Church, Bayville. Mastapeter Funeral Home, Bayville, was in charge of arrangements.

KRYSTYNA A. DUDZINSKI, 72, of Holiday Heights, BERKELEY
KRYSTYNA A. DUDZINSKI, 72, of Holiday Heights, BERKELEY, died Thursday at home. She was an senior electronics technician for International Telephone and Telegraph in Nutley for 25 years before retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Polish American Youth Club and the Polish Aria Choir, both of Wallington. She was also a member of the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Berkeley. Born in Michalowka, Poland, she came to the United States from England in 1955 and settled in Clifton. She moved to Holiday Heights six years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Z. Jess Dudzinski; a daughter, Barbara Scholz of Toms River; her brother, Lech Dlugolecki of Florida; and two granddaughters, Sonya and Nicole.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. A Funeral Mass will be offered 9:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Berkeley. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

JOSEPH FRANK DIMMICK, 72, of Normandy Beach, DOVER TOWNSHIP
JOSEPH FRANK DIMMICK, 72, of Normandy Beach, DOVER TOWNSHIP, died Tuesday at Brick Hospital. He worked in sales at A.B. Murray & Co., Elizabeth. He then was a partner at Keller Supply, Rahway, and a partner at Piping & Equipment in Passaic for 40 years, retiring in 1992. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a 1952 graduate of Seton Hall with a bachelor of science degree. He was a member of St. Valentine's Church, Bloomfield, for 60 years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Normandy Beach. He was past president of West Essex Lions Club and a member of the Moose Lodge of Seaside. He was a loving husband, a devoted father and an avid fisherman and golfer. Born in Orange, he lived in Bloomfield before moving to Normandy Beach 12 years ago.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Maryann Johnson Dimmick; five daughters, Lynn Johnson of Brielle, Debora Petersen of Point Pleasant Beach, Susan Aufiero of Lavallette, Catherine Franzoni of Point Pleasant, and Elizabeth Sartori of Lavallette; and nine grandchildren, Lynda, Maryann, Kara, Hope, Lauren, Anthony, Tyler, Morgan and Neil.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Grand Central Ave., Lavallette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Peace Church, Normandy Beach. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle. JACOB RAUDSEPP, 54, of LAKEWOOD, died Monday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. He was born in Sweden.
Surviving are his mother, Sophia Raudsepp of Lakewood; and his close friends, Mary and Frank, and Pam Halston.
There will be no viewing or services. Cremation Services of Ocean, Brick, is in charge of arrangements.

ELLEN MAY BOENI NICHOL, 72, of TOMS RIVER
ELLEN MAY BOENI NICHOL, 72, of TOMS RIVER, died yesterday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. She was a key punch operator at Community Medical Center, Toms River, for 30 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the American Legion Post in Seaside Park. She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson. Born in Union City, she lived in Jersey City before moving to Toms River in 1970.
Her husband, Edward, died in 1973. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Dawn Ellen Nichol-Granata and Emilio A. Granata of Jackson; a sister, Grace Van Deman of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a stepsister, Marilyn McGowan of Virginia; two step brothers, Charles Kuster of Florida, and Robert Kuster of Toms River; and four grandchildren, Daniella, Rosa Leigh, Monica and Gabriella.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. Relatives and friends may gather at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home Monday prior to a Funeral Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson, with the Rev. Scott Shaffer officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Nichol may be made to the charity of one's choice, and would be greatly appreciated.

EDWARD L. VOLLRATH JR., 55, of POINT PLEASANT, died Wednesday at Brick Hospital. He was self-employed for most of his life as an auto body repairman. Born in Point Pleasant, he lived there most of his life.
Surviving are his wife, Jessie Fayrafe Vollrath; a son, Edward Vollrath of Toms River; two daughters, Teri Vollrath of Roosevelt, and Tina Joa of Port Richey, Fla.; a brother, Peter J. Deibel of South Easton, Maine; his father, Edward L. Vollrath Sr. of Philadelphia; and his mother, Mary Deibel of Point Pleasant.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Shore Memorial Funeral Home, 511 Forman Ave., Point Pleasant Beach. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Point Pleasant Beach. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.

Ethel M. Schaeffer, owned Shamrock Inn
HOLMES BEACH, Fla. -- Ethel M. Schaeffer, 81, died Wednesday (June 20, 2001) at her home. She was born Oct. 27, 1919, in Queens, N.Y. She had moved from Somerville to Holmes Beach in 1981.
Mrs. Schaeffer was retired as the owner of the Shamrock Inn in Somerville for 12 years. She is of the Protestant faith.
She was predeceased by her husband, George E. Schaeffer, in 1987, and a son, Kurt R. Schaeffer, in 1998.
She is survived by her companion, Connie Collings of Holmes Beach, Fla., and her sister, Violet Supple of Lebanon.
Private burial will be held at Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto, Fla. Arrangements are by Griffith Cline Funeral Homes in Bradenton, Fla. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.

Thomas Hicks, owned Hicks & Co. Dance Troupe
RARITAN -- Thomas Hicks of Raritan died June 11, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Tom was employed by Lonza of Fairlawn as a Computer Systems Validation Manager. He is the former owner of Hicks & Company Dance Troupe and was a country western dance instructor and disc jockey. Tom was also a country western dance competition competitor; the dance coach for "One Life to Live" and the Miss America Pageant and has appeared in the movie "Jeffrey" and in the soap opera "One Life to Live."
He is survived by his partner, Randy Stark of Raritan; his mother, Gail Hicks of Las Vegas; his children, Matthew of the Air Force, stationed in the United Kingdom and Kate of Plainfield; his brother, Mike Hicks of Hillsborough; and two sisters, Gina Dietzer and Debora Hicks of El Cajon, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ewing Presbyterian Church, 100 Scotch Road, Ewing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Suicide Prevention Center of Clark County, 3342 South Sandhill Road, No. 9-528, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
