ANNE M. LONERGAN, AGE 87, WOODBRIDGE
Anne M. Lonergan, 87, of Woodbridge died Saturday at the Carriage House Manor in South Amboy.
Born in Woodbridge, Mrs. Lonergan was a lifelong resident there.
She was employed by Shell Oil Co. in Sewaren as a secretary for 25 years, retiring in 1963.
She was a member of St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge. She was a previous member of the church's Altar Rosary Society.
Mrs. Lonergan was predeceased by her husband, John Lonergan, in 1995. Her parents, Lawrence and Mary Geis Ryan, and her brothers, Lawrence, Patrick and James Ryan, are also deceased.
A Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be offered 9 a.m. tomorrow at St. James R.C. Church. Entombment will be at the church mausoleum.
There is no visitation. Arrangements are by the Leon J. Gerity Funeral Home, 411 Amboy Ave., Woodbridge.

Maria Ozczpok Klymec, machine operator
SOUTH PLAINFIELD -- Maria Ozczpok Klymec, 80, of South Plainfield died Sunday (May 6, 2001) at the Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield.
She was born in the Ukraine and came to the United States in 1950, settling in New York before moving to South Plainfield 44 years ago.
Mrs. Klymec was a machine operator for the former Standard Plastic's in South Plainfield for 20 years before retiring in 1983. Mrs. Klymec loved gardening and spent her time tending to her vegetable and her flower gardens. She loved swimming during the summer at the South Plainfield Community Pool.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gregory Klymec, in 1988.
Surviving are her son, Jaroslaw Klymec of Frenchtown; her daughter, Anna Garelick of South Plainfield; and her dear friend, Andrew Minarck of South Plainfield; her grandchildren, Adam Lloyd Klymec and Candace Klymec.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the James W. Conroy Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield. Burial will follow at the St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery in South Bound Brook. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Helen "Holly" Hyde, homemaker
OLD BRIDGE -- Helen "Holly" Hyde, 95, of the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge, died Sunday (May 6, 2001) there.
Born in Williamsville, Mo., on June 12, 1905, daughter of the late Asa Edward and Easter Alexander Talbert. She had formerly resided in Ramsy, then in Flemington from 1979 to 1995 and had resided in the Reformed Church Home since 1995. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Stanton Reformed Church, Stanton, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Piedmont, Mo.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dayton F. Hyde in 1968, and a daughter, Joanne Berger in 1957.
Surviving are a daughter, Donna Cooper of Lambertville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Stanton Reformed Church. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington. Memorial contributions may be made to Stanton Reformed Church, Stanton, NJ 08885.

Alice McKee Giovetti, artist
LONG ISLAND, N.Y. -- Alice Jeanne McKee Giovetti, 81, died Wednesday (May 2, 2001) in Salisbury, Md., due to complications following emergency vascular surgery.
Alice was born May 1, 1920, on Long Island to Augustus and Mary Magdalena McKee. She studied nursing at Somerset Hospital in Somerville. She worked in New York for a short time before marrying Alfred Giovetti, a World War II veteran, and her lifetime companion of 60 years.
Alice was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Alexandria, Va., and was devoted to the study of the saints and popes of the Church of Rome. She was a gifted artist who produced a number of original works in chalk, pencil and oil.
In addition to her husband, Alice is survived by two sisters, Marie Honning of Dunellen and Dorothy Robinson of Lavalette; three children, Patricia Marie Cookston, Alfred Charles Giovetti and Jeanette Anne Giovetti; six grandchildren, Jacqueline Cookston, Robert Cookston III, Allison Giovetti, Catherine Giovetti, Amanda Giovetti and Michael Giovetti; and one great-grandchild, Amelia Cookston.
Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, 2907 Popkins Lane in Alexandria, Va.
Relatives and friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson Funeral Chapel, 5755 Castlewellan Drive, Alexandria, Va.

IRENE FERCHIE, AGE 86, FORMERLY OF METUCHEN
Irene Demes Ferchie, 86, of Leesburg, Fla., died Friday at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Ferchie was born in Keasbey, and lived in Metuchen before moving to Florida in 1966.
She was a homemaker, and a former member of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Perth Amboy.
She is survived by her husband, Peter; her beloved niece, Nora Infusino; her beloved nephew, Gerald Kampo, and many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords, followed by a 9:30 a.m. service at the Hungarian Reformed Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Hopelawn.
Visitation hours will be held tomorrow from 7-9 p.m. A Christian Wake Service will be held 8 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

JOHN J. CARNEVALE, AGE 83, EDISON
John Joseph Carnevale, 83, of Edison died yesterday at the Masonic Home in Burlington.
Born in Morristown, he resided in Edison for the past 54 years.
He was a foreman of housing at Rutgers University in New Brunswick for 12 years, retiring in 1982.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army, serving in the Signal Corps.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in Edison. He was a member of the Middlesex County Democratic Organization, serving as a 9th District committeeman since 1987. He was a member of the Raritan Americus Lodge 61 F&AM in Carteret, and the Clara Barton Democratic Club. He was also a past president of the Clara Barton Senior Social Club.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Varady Carnevale; a daughter, Janet Miller of South Plainfield; a son, John Carnevale of Sewell; a brother, Louis Carnevale of Newton; three grandchildren, John III, Michael and Joseph, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church. Burial will be at Cloverleaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge.
Visitation will be tomorrow from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

JOSEPH R. COSTA JR., AGE 61, EAST BRUNSWICK
Joseph R. Costa Jr. died Saturday at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was 61.
He was born in Edison, where he lived until 1965, when he moved to East Brunswick. Prior to retiring in 1999, he was assistant administrator of training and development for 36 years at the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center in North Brunswick. A graduate of St. Peter the Apostle High School in New Brunswick, he received his bachelor's degree from Monmouth University. He pursued graduate studies at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. He was a member of Calvary Chapel, Old Bridge. Mr. Costa also belonged to the East Brunswick Senior Center, and was a past officer of BPO Elks 2370, East Brunswick.
He was the son of the late Joseph and Marion Costa and the loving husband of 38 years of Penny Klink Costa. Mr. Costa was the loving father of Nicholas of Centralia, Wash., and Michael of Minot, N.D.; father-in-law of Linda and Jean; brother of Joan Gonzalez of Stuart, Fla., Maryann Johnson of Seaside Heights, and Barbara Costa of Edison; cherished grandfather of Corey, Taylor, Meagan and Nicole, and uncle of Joanne Gonzalez.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, where funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Calvary Chapel, 123 White Oak Lane, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.
