John A. Arena, 92, of Hammonton, died Monday, January 7, 2013, at home.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a Hammonton resident for 87 years. John was the owner and operator of Arena’s Barber Shop in Hammonton. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the Army Air Force Band where he played the clarinet, saxophone and mandolin. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus Pallotti Council #3471 where he bowled for the club team. He was also a member of VFW #1026 and American Legion #186. He was an usher for St. Joseph Church, served as secretary and treasurer for Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Church, and was a member of the St. Joseph High School Booster Club. He was an avid golfer and a member of the “Reach the 80s Club”.
Predeceased by: sisters, Angie LaSassa, Rose Passarella. Surviving him are: wife, Marie (nee Monzo); son, Mario J. Arena M.D. and his wife Diane of Bryn Mawr, Pa.; grandchildren, Lauren, John Arena; great-grandchild, Garrett; sisters, Sue Padulese, Anne DiGerolamo,
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 14, at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

Michael C. Bucci, 87, of Hammonton, died Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Hammonton Health and Rehab.
Mickey was born in Philadelphia and was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. He was a 1943 graduate of Hammonton High School. He was the owner of Mickey’s Hobby Shop before becoming a self-employed builder. Later he became a Casino Host at Golden Nugget Casino, Atlantis Casino, and Resorts. He enjoyed flying model airplanes and skiing in his younger years.
Surviving him are: wife, Mildred (nee Rossetti); daughters, Andrea Warren and her husband John, Cynthia Tomasello and her husband William all of Hammonton; grandchildren, John Warren and his wife Carrie, Christina Tomasello; great-grandchild, Caitie Warren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 15, at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
Donations may be made to Hammonton Fire Company #2, P.O. Box 281, Hammonton, NJ 08037.

Karen A. Falotico (nee Carter), 55, of Egg Harbor Township, died Saturday, January 5, 2013.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Egg Harbor Township for the past eight years. Karen was a server at Resorts Casino for over 30 years and a member of Gilda’s Club.
Predeceased by: father, Fred. Surviving her are: husband, Peter; daughters, Gabrielle Falotico, Danielle (Amir) Seliman; mother, Jane (Charles) Menarde; brother, Daniel (fiancée Suzanne) Carter; sisters, Diane (John) Wright, Patricia (John) Leonetti, Brenda Menarde, Marianne (Jeff) Wooton; grandchildren, Sophia, Gianna; brother-in-law, Rev. Ronald S. Falotico.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 11, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

Richard M. Neals Jr., 78, of Mullica Township, died Sunday, January 6, 2013, at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Galloway Township with his loving family by his side.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of Mullica Township for more than 30 years. Mr. Neals served in the United States Navy and he was very proud of his assignment with the Seebees helping with military construction. He was a member of the American Legion in the Philadelphia area. Mr. Neals was the co-owner of J & R Imports and Uncle Richie’s Mouse House. He enjoyed building and selling bird houses at local flea markets.
Predeceased by: brother, John; sister, Patricia. Surviving him are: wife, Tomiko P. Neals; sons, Richard M. Neals III and his wife Rita of Folsom, Michael A. Neals and his wife Nunziatina of Sweetwater; brother, Paul Neals and his wife Shirley of Canada; grandchildren, Nicole, Theresa, Stefanie, Payge, Arielle; great-grandchildren, Gabby, Morgan, Brennan, Aiden, Sammy; sister-in-law, Geraldine Neals; many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Friday, January 11, at the Carnesale Funeral Home followed by burial on Tuesday, January 15, at Greenmount cemetery, Philadelphia.

Virginia L. Santomas, 91, of Hammonton, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, at home.
Born in Chicago, she was a resident of Hammonton for more than 65 years. Mrs. Santomas was a United States Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Before retiring, she worked as an administrative assistant for Caesar’s Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City.
Predeceased by: husband, Joseph J. Santomas. Surviving her are: daughters, Ann Santomas of Wilmington, Del., Linda Frey of Canton, Ga.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing today, January 16, from 10 – 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph’s followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenmount cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.

Veronica Sterling, 68, of Collings Lakes, died Thursday, January 10, 2013, at home.
Born in Scotland, she was a resident of Collings Lakes for 41 years. Before retiring, Mrs. Sterling worked for Whitehall Laboratories in Hammonton and Virginia. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she helped to raise.
Surviving her are: sons, Sean Sterling and his wife Renee of Cocoa, Fla., Kevin Sterling and his fiancée Melissa St. Dennis of Collings Lakes; mother, Margaret Doherty of Scotland; grandchildren, Felicia, Rochelle, Drew, Devon Sterling; brother, Michael Doherty; sister, Evelyn Daily and her husband Keith.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 15, at Our Lady of the Lakes R.C. Church in Collings Lakes followed by burial at Greenmount cemetery.

Nancy Lawson (nee Atturo), 86, of Blue Anchor died Sunday, January 13, 2013, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a resident of Blue Anchor for 44 years. Before retiring, she worked for UBIA Sportswear in Hammonton. Mrs. Lawson enjoyed going to Harrah’s Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.
Predeceased by: husband of 47 years, Malcolm Lawson. Surviving her are: son, Michael Cataldo and his wife Carol of Medford, Mass.; daughters, Cindi Storti and her husband Mike of Blue Anchor, Cheryl Kovba and her husband Russ of Blue Anchor, Jacque Butler of Folsom; grandchildren, Michelle, Sharon, Michael, Mark, Tara, Holly, Erin, Jimmy; great-grandchildren, Jaclyn, Mark, Cody, Madyson, Emma, Ally, Justin, Alexa, Jake, Mark, Brooke, Sydney, LeeAnna, Madalyn; brother, Carlo Atturo of Somerdale; sisters, Connie Fonte of Hammonton, JoAnn Dischert of Voorhees.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing today, January 16, from 6 – 7 p.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home where services will be held at 7 p.m. Burial at Greenmount cemetery will be private.

Gloria T. Devine, 84, of Atco, died Saturday, January 12, 2013.
Gloria lived in Philadelphia before moving to Hammonton 10 years ago. She worked for William H. Rorer Pharmaceuticals for over 30 years retiring in 1990.
Predeceased by: husband, Charles Devine. Surviving her are: daughter, Patricia McMahon and her husband Michael of Hammonton; brothers, Thomas (Rita) MacDonald, Francis Mugrauer; sister-in-law, Teresa Devine; grandchildren, Gloria (Mark) Fiorentino, Michael McMahon, Sean (Keri) McMahon, Colleen (Charles) Mihalitsch; 13 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday, January 17, from 9:30 – 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson.

Elwood “Woody” Lomberk, 71, of Hammonton and formerly of Vineland, died Monday, January 21, 2013, at home after an extended illness.
Born in Newark, he had lived in Vineland for over 25 years and then moved to Hammonton for the last 38 years. “Woody” served in the United States Marines from 1961 until 1967 during the Vietnam War and was a Lance Corporal. He will be remembered as the owner and operator of Woody’s Exxon Service Station in Hammonton. He loved to go to the casinos and playing bingo. Woody also was an avid bowler and in his younger days worked at Loyal Lanes Bowling Alley in Vineland where he met his late wife Lynn Vanaman Lomberk.
Predeceased by: wife, Lynn; daughter, Susan. Surviving him are: daughters, Denise (Sean) Staller of Fort Meyers, Fla., Barbara (Ed) Oram of Hammonton; brothers, William (Maureen) Lomberk, Ted (Carol) Lomberk, Robert Lomberk all of Vineland, Raymond Lomberk of Apopka, Fla., Lou Lomberk of Millville; six grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended services on Monday, January 28, at the Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home of Millville followed by burial at Greenwood Memorial Park cemetery.

Alexander A. Mutko, 60, of Winslow Township, died Monday, January 21, 2013, at Virtua Hospital in Berlin.
Born in Auburn, N.Y., he lived in Winslow Township since 1984. He worked as a licensed mechanic at Air Works in Millville for 10 years. Alex served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Alex loved to fish, hunt and read. His second love next to his wife Susan was his Volkswagon Litlbit.
Predeceased by: parents, Alexander and Inga; sister, Lori Miles; mother-in-law, Grace Clifford. Surviving him are: wife, Susan (nee Clifford); step-mother, Mary Mutko; father-in-law, Joseph Clifford; brothers, Daniel (Karen), David (Denise), Mike (Shirley); sister, Maryann (Shawn) Long; sister-in-law, JoAnne Watson; many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 26, at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
