Julio E. Rodriguez, 21, of Hammonton died on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.

Born in Atlantic City, he was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. Julio graduated from Hammonton High School in 2010, and in addition to his studies he excelled on the football and baseball teams. He was a proud member of the 2009 Group III State Football Championship Team. Julio was very active in sports during his lifetime. He played football for the Hammonton Hawks, baseball for the Hammonton Little League teams and basketball for the Hammonton Bulldogs program. He volunteered his time as a coach for the Hammonton Hawks Varsity Team and as a Hammonton Little League coach. Most recently, he coached the Kiwanis major league team. He also helped his father with his disc jockeying business.

He is survived by his father, Antonio J. Rodriguez; his twin brother, Antonio J. Rodriquez Jr. both of Hammonton; one sister, Dovanni Rodriguez (Angel Castro) of Vineland; his paternal grandparents, Esther Rodriguez and Jose Velazquez of Vineland; his paternal great-grandmother, Leonor Perez of Buena; two uncles, Edward Rodriguez (Demaris) and James Rodriguez, both of Vineland; and many more cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held Today, June 11, 2014, at 9 a.m. at the Spanish Pentecostal Assembly of God Church, 100 French Street in Hammonton. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenmount cemetery in Hammonton.

Edwin C. Coia, 74, of Hammonton died suddenly on June 2, 2014.

Eddie and his wife, Angie, owned and operated The Country Farm Market and Mama D’s Catering in Atco for 40 years. He also worked at Eastern Brewing Company. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School’s class of 1958 where he played basketball. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and traveled internationally with its ice hockey team as a manager. Eddie loved fishing, hunting, college sports, Philly sports teams, telling stories from the old days and all things Italian. Eddie was a no-fuss guy in a world full of bells and whistles. He found pleasure in life’s simplest, and most important, pleasures: grandchildren, friends, reading, the diner and his work.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Catherine (nee Penza) Coia, and his wife’s parents, James (“Brute”) and Antoinette DiNatale. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Angela R. (nee DiNatale); his children, Renee Adamucci (Ron) of Hammonton and James Coia (Angel) of Sicklerville; his grandchildren, Alexa and Astin Adamucci, and Giovanna and James “Jimmy” Edwin Coia; his brothers, Joseph (Barbara) and Louis (Shirley) of Hammonton; his sister, Terese (Matt) Butenhoff of Ventnor, and sisters-in-law, Rita DiNatale and Diane (DiNatale) Fitzpatrick of Atco; nieces, Kellyanne (George), Renee (Greg), Shannon (Scott) and nephew, Luke (Angel). He was also an Honorary PopPop to George, Claudia, Charlotte and Vanessa; Honorary brother to Walter (Barbara) Sacco and honorary father to John Beckisz. Edwin was a true and entertaining friend to countless others.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, June 6, 2014, at Assumption Church, Christ the Redeemer Parish in Atco. Burial followed at Oak Grove cemetery in Hammonton. Donations may be made to Assumption Church, St. Joseph High School (328 Vine Street, Hammonton) or the Wounded Warriors Project (PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675).

Edward P. Liberto, 82, of Blue Anchor, died suddenly on Friday, June 6, 2014.

Born and raised in Blue Anchor, he graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1950 and attended LaSalle University. Ed served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was an owner and operator of L.B. Farms – a family business for many generations. He was a former Winslow Twp. Committeeman from 1978-1982 and a member of the N.R.A.

Ed was predeceased by his wife, Jeanne S. Liberto (nee Smith); parents, Antonio and Erminia Liberto; sister, Thelma Parisi and brothers Sam, Joseph, Raymond and Rudy. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Linardo (Jim) and loving grandsons, Kyle and Alex Linardo of Blue Anchor; his stepson, Albert Winstel (Evelyn) and grandchildren, Cheryl, Shannon, Mary Louise, Ryan, Albert and Margaret of Berlin; his brother, David Liberto of Hammonton; two sisters-in-law, Josephine Liberto and Jean Liberto, both of Blue Anchor; and nine great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday, June 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, June 14 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph’s Church, Third and French Streets in Hammonton. Entombment will follow in Greenmount cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton. In memory of Edward P. Liberto, donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.

Daniel Damiano, 87, of Elm, died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Virtua Hospital in Berlin.

Born in Rosedale, he lived in Elm most of his life. Mr. Damiano retired in 1993 as a cook at Ancora State Hospital. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, a member of the former Elm American Legion Post, a charter member of the Elm Volunteer Fire Co., and a member of 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Shanes Castle Council of Waterford. Dan was an active parishioner of St. Joseph’s RC church and a member of the Holy Name Society. He worked at the annual Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Festival for many years. Dan was a licensed pilot and ham radio enthusiast. Other hobbies of his included hunting, cake baking and decorating, and riding his motorcycles.

Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Angelina (nee Montresor); three daughters, Joan Ward (Matthew) of Brigantine, Janet Esposito (Ken) of Hammonton and Lori Merkel (Jeff) of Coatesville, Pa.; three sons, Donald (Karen) of Mays Landing, David (Debbie) and Joseph, both of Elm; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; brother, Frank (Doris) of Atco; two sisters, Marie Nye of Weymouth and Florence Parry (Jim) of Waldorf, Md.

A viewing will be held today, June 11, 2014, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, June 12, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Landolfi Funeral Home, 237 Bellevue Avenue in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph’s Church, Third and French Streets in Hammonton. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Oak Grove cemetery in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Winslow Twp. EMS, P.O. Box 3, Cedarbrook, NJ 08018

Dolores May Chard (nee Jones), 82, of Hammonton died Monday, June 2, 2014, at Virtua Hospital in Berlin.

Born in Vineland, she lived most of her life in Cecil and Franklinville, Dolores loved visiting flea markets and reading James Patterson books, but more than anything else her passion was prayer for others.

Delores was predeceased by her daughters, Susan Levering and Sandra Cannon, her father, J. Wesley Jones Sr.; her mother, Gertrude May Jones; her brother, J. Wesley Jones Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Debra DeFelice of North Fort Myers, Fla; her sister, Barbara Ortiz of Cecil, N.J.; her grandchildren, Steve, Tonya, Kelly, Jennifer, Robert, Kristin, Brandi, Michelle, Melissa and Wendi; her 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were requested to remain private under the direction of the Marinella Funeral Home.

David Brinson, 44, of Folsom died at his home on Tuesday, June 3, 2014.

Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. David formerly worked for American Galvanizing Company in Folsom.

He is survived by his wife, Tanjonica C. Brinson; his parents, Charles Frank and Lenora Brinson; four sisters, Shelia Boone-Martin, Sharon Burnett-Vieto, Cheryl (Net) Caldrone and Kathy Stubbs.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the Carnesale Funeral Home in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.

Jessie C. Kelley (nee Robb), 78, of Hammonton died Monday, June 2, 2014, at home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Ebensburg, Pa., Jessie eventually moved to Hammonton where she lived for the past 53 years.

She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Hammonton where she was a deacon and played in the bell choir.

Jessie loved her church family and had many happy memories with them.

She enjoyed playing cards, and you could find her at the Hammonton Canoe Club on Tuesday with her friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joe D. Kelley Sr.; her parents, George and Helen Robb; her sisters, Nancy and Marylou; her brother, John. She is survived by her children, Joe D. Kelley Jr. of Long Beach, Miss., Janice Guld (Joseph) of Galloway Twp., and Julie Aviles (Rhonda) of Vineland; her brother, George Robb of Merrill’s Inlet, S.C.; and sisters, Delores Boyle of Minotola and Janet Buzzella of Blairsville, Pa.; her grandchildren, Haley, Joe III, Matthew and Lauren, Jenna, Savannah; great-grandchild Willow; and son-in-law Paul Aviles.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 6, 2014, at the Presbyterian Church of Hammonton.

Burial followed at Greenmount cemetery in Hammonton. Donations in Jessie’s memory may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Hammonton.

Lorraine N. Sarao, 77, of Hammonton died Saturday, January 3, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Camden, N.J., she graduated from Hammonton High School in 1955. After graduation, she worked at Olivo’s Market, Acme Market and Ubia Sportswear, all in Hammonton.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph “Jiz” Sarao Sr.; son-in-law, Albert Varesio; and brother, Michael Foster.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Varesio of Egg Harbor City, Joseph A. Sarao Jr. of Hammonton and JoAnn DeClement of Egg Harbor Twp. She was the dear sister of Samuel “Nipper” and Tina Foster of Florida, Robert and Sandy Foster of New Jersey, and William and Bruce Foster of Texas.

She was the loving grandmother of Renee and Anthony J. Sarao and Joshua, Gianna and Nicolas DeClement.

She is also survived by her son-in-law, William DeClement Jr., and several nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her “Dakota”.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday, January 8, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St., Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish – St. Joseph’s Church, Third and French Streets, Hammonton.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 626 N. Shore Road., Absecon, NJ 08201 or Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
