Paul Ciarlante Jr., 69, of Hammonton died suddenly at home on Sunday, January 4, 2015.

Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident.

He owned and operated Lante’s Barber Shop in Folsom and Paul’s Barber Shop in Hammonton for 35 years.

Paul was an avid accordion player and played on the Ted Mack Show in Philadelphia.

He was able to read music and gave music lessons for many years.

Back in his early years, he was a member of a band.

He was a member of the Philadelphia Mummers Brigade Satin Slippers.

Paul loved the casinos and he had a passion for the “old” Atlantic City nightlife.

He had many different aliases, including “Compy,” “Scissors” and “Paulie,” just to name a few.

He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mamie Ciarlante, and his brother, Nicholas.

Paul is survived by his wife, Myrna Santiago; his children, Paul Joseph Ciarlante III, John Nicholas Ciarlante, Ernesto Morales Jr.; Thomas Daniel Santiago; one sister, Julia Templeton-Turner; four grandchildren, Olivia Catherine Ciarlante, Thomas Daniel Santiago Jr., Ava Isabella Santiago and Josiah Ernesto Morales; his faithful companions, Mica and Milo Ciarlante, all of Hammonton; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 8, 2015, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church – St. Joseph’s Church, 226 French St., Hammonton.

Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

A viewing will be held today, January 7 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Thursday, January 8 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.

Bridget Brady (nee Duffy), 81, of Hammonton died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 3, 2015.

Born in County Mayo, Ireland, she moved to Philadelphia when she was 19 years old.

Bridget resided in Hammonton since 1970.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish in Hammonton and had worked as a packer for Deer Park Baking Co.

She was predeceased by her husband, James Brady, and siblings, Anthony, James and John Duffy and Mary Ellen O’Donnell.

Bridget is survived by her children, Ann Marie Benedetto (Anthony), Sheila Amendolia (Dominic), James Brady and Martin Brady (Angela), all of Hammonton; nine grandchildren, Katie Cicilioni (Fred), Erin Rizzotte (Kevin), AJ Benedetto, Nicholas Brady (fiancée, Megan), Dominic Amendolia, Alanna Benedetto, Brianna Brady, Jimmy and Shannon Brady; brothers, Patrick, Tom, Martin and Michael Duffy; sisters, Margaret Kelly and Kathleen Towey; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today, January 7, 2015, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish – St. Joseph’s Church, 226 French St. in Hammonton.

Burial will follow in Atlantic County Veteran cemetery, Estell Manor, N.J.

A viewing will precede mass from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater NJ Chapter, 400 Morris Ave, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 or to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Angelo J. Santelli, 86, of Toms River and formerly of Brigantine died at Ocean Medical Center on Tuesday, December 30, 2014.

He was a former slot attendant at Showboat Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.

Mr. Santelli was an avid Yankees fan.

He was predeceased by his wife, Jennie Santelli (nee Sorrentino).

He is survived by his daughter, Mari Mancini and her husband, Henry, of Cedar Run; and his three grandchildren, James, Katie and Nicholas Mancini.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated January 3, 2015, at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish – St. Joseph’s Church.

Burial followed in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ken’s Kitchen, c/o St. Mary ‘s Parish, 747 W. Bay Ave., Box 609, Barnegat, NJ 08005.

Kenneth Joseph Grasso, 63, of Williamstown died suddenly at home on Friday, February 20, 2015.

Kenny was born and raised in Hammonton and lived in Williamstown for the last 25 years.

He was a Hammonton High School Graduate Class of 1969.

Kenny was an U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and belonged to the American Legion Post No. 186 in Hammonton.

Before retiring in April 2014, he worked as a mailman for the Hammonton Post Office for 43 years where he loved interacting with people at the Post Office and along his mail route.

Kenny enjoyed freshwater bass fishing, going to the beach and playing ping pong.

He was a Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, and was a Phillies season ticket holder.

Kenny was predeceased by his mother, Grace A. Grasso (nee Longo).

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Grasso; his one son, Matthew Grasso (Kristy) of Hammonton; his one daughter, Amanda Grasso of Hammonton; his two step daughters, Jennifer Tunaitis (Mike) of Washington Township, and Robin Winner (Jorge Aviles) of Pennsauken; his father, Joseph R. Grasso of Hammonton; his three brothers, Richard J. Grasso of Hammonton, Howard J. Grasso of Las Vegas, Nev., and Joseph R. Grasso (Shirley) of Hammonton; his one sister, Mary Ellen Teti (Chuck) of Barrington; his four grandchildren, Alyssia, McKenzie, Taylor, and Avery.

He is also survived by a nephew, nieces, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held today, February 25, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish – St. Joseph Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today at 10:30 a.m.

A burial with military honors will follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery in Hammonton.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

Angelo H. Fedga, 96, of Hammonton died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Galloway Twp.

Angelo was born and raised in Hammonton.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked for the Glen Garry Brick Company in Winslow for more than 25 years until the plant closed.

When the weather was nice you could find Angelo helping his son Jimmy with James Fedga Lawncare.

Angelo is predeceased by his wife Margaret (nee DeVries); his son Angelo Jr.; his daughter, Helen; and his parents, Vincenzo and Angela Fedga.

Angelo is survived by his son Jimmy with whom he lived.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday, February 26 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt, Carmel Parish – St. Joseph Church.

Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

Arrangements made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

Lena LaGrotta (nee Darcangelo), 94, formerly of Cedar Brook, passed away February 24 at her daughter’s residence with her loving family by her side.

Born in Philadelphia, she moved from the city to her family's farm at a young age.

She worked for many years as a cafeteria lady at Edgewood Regional High School, where she is fondly remembered by many students.

Lena is predeceased by her husband, John; her grandson, Billy Flood; her brothers, Anthony, Rocco, Armand, Joseph, and Amerigo Darcangelo, and her sister, Emily O'Rourke.

Lena is survived by her daughters, Janet Mazzeo (Jack) of Hammonton and Eilieen Flood of Hammonton; brother Vito Darcangelo (Catherine) and grandchildren John and Michael Mazzeo, Deanna Mazzeo-Shimborski (Adam), Brian and Brandon Flood, two beautiful great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Sunday, March 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Monday, March 2 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., all at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third Street, Hammonton.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at Saint Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish – St. Joseph Church, Third and French Streets, Hammonton.

Entombment will be at Greenmount cemetery, 124 S. First Rd, Hammonton.
