He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4591, Hasbrouck Heights. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin R.C. Church, Garfield, where he was past president of its Usher Society, photographer for its St. Theresa Choir and a member its Stewardship and Feast committees. He had been director of Civil Defense, a member of the board of directors and a life member of the Boys & Girls Club and a founding member of the Old Timers, all in Lodi. He was co-founder of the Holy Name Cadets, Garfield, a member of the Moose Lodge, Lodi, and a third-degree knight of Knights of Columbus Council 1345, Dumont. He also had been a member of the Garfield/Lodi Baseball League and was a member and instructor of several local drum and bugle corps. Arrangements: Aloia Funeral Home, Garfield.
