He was an Army veteran of World War II, a recipient of the Bronze Star and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, both in Cliffside Park. He was a member of the Democratic Committee and a former member of the Planning Board, both in Cliffside Park. He also was a member and past president of the Lions Club and a member of Unico and the Men's Club, all in Cliffside Park. He was a former coach for the Little League and the Babe Ruth League in Cliffside Park and North Bergen and was assistant Scoutmaster in North Bergen. Arrangements: A.K.
