He was a veteran of World War II, recipient of the Purple Heart and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2342, Fort Lee; American Legion, Retired Officers Association and Purple Heart Association. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. John and a former district governor and past supreme governor of the American Hellenic Educational and Progressive Association fifth district.
