Pardee, Ruth, 83, formerly of Aberdeen Twp. and Bradenton, FL, passed away, early Wednesday morning, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.

She was born in Dover, NJ. She was an assembly line worker with Charles of the Ritz, Holmdel, for 25 years, retiring in 1986.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Ray Pardee in 1969; and her siblings. Surviving are two sons, Raymond Pardee of Spring Valley, NY and Mike Pardee of Aberdeen Twp.; and three grandchildren, Amanda, Laura and Ray Pardee.

Family and friends are invited Sunday, 2-5PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, with a 4: 30PM service. Cremation will be private.

MEYER, Bernardette (McKenna), 96, of Asbury Park, passed away, Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Richmond Hill, Queens for 40 years; and Lakehurst (Leisure Village West) for 25 years, before moving to Asbury Park in 2002. She worked as a receptionist with Drs. Connors and Iandoli, Jamaica, NY, for 20 years, retiring in 1976.

Bernardette was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Meyer in 1958; and her parents, Bernard and Margaret (Mooney) McKenna. Surviving are her children, Chester Meyer of Manhattan, NY; Judith Curcio and her spouse, Diana Finer of Bedford, MA ; and Robert Meyer and his wife, Diane, of Matawan; three grandchildren, Eugene Curcio, Katie and Kelly Meyer; and two great-grandchildren, Erik Curcio and Zachary Jennings.

Family and friends are invited Thursday, 8: 15AM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; with a 9: 15AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Keyport. Interment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National PKU News, 6869 Woodlawn Ave., NE, #116, Seattle, WA 98115-5469.

Helena T. Otterbine, 73, died Saturday November 15, 2008 at her home.

Born in Ireland, Helena lived in Islen and the Bronx, NY for 45 years before moving to Aberdeen. Helena was a dedicated mom, and communicant of St. Joseph ’s church in Keyport.

She is predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Helena (Wright) McDermott, a sister, Patricia Lovelock, and two brothers, Brennan and Desmond McDermott. She is survived by her husband Joseph Otterbine and her children, Mary Grace Couzzo of Sioux St. Maria, MN, Joseph P. Otterbine of Lacey, Thomas E. Otterbine of Richmond VA, Christopher Otterbine of Highlands NY, Victor Otterbine of Freehold, Michael Otterbine of Matawan, Raymond Otterbine of AZ, and Sean Otterbine of Keyport, her eight grandchildren and her 6 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, and Wednesday, 8: 30AM at the funeral home, with a 9: 15AM mass of Christian burial at St. Joseph ’s Church, Keyport. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph ’s Mausoleum.

Carolyn Mulkerin 75 of Mt. Bethel, Pa died at her home Nov. 15, 2008.

Born in Cannonsburg, PA she resided in Cliffwood for 35 years before moving to Mt. Bethel 1 year ago. Mrs. Mulkerin was a homemaker, President of the VFW Women’s Aux. in Cliffwood Beach and on the Cliffwood First Aid Squad.

She was predeceased by her Husband Joseph.
Surviving are her six daughters Donna Allen PA, Debra McKenzie TX, Eva Ramos GA, Connie Swingle PA, Eileen Barusso NJ and Michele Egan NJ, and a son David Allen NJ, 2 Sisters Teddy Luiz NY, and Mona Jones Fl and 13 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735.

QUILTER, John G., 78, of Hazlet, passed away, Friday, November 14, 2008, at the VA Hospital, East Orange, NJ.

Born in North Bergen, he lived in Hoboken, before residing in Hazlet for 43 years. He was a sign maker with Suburban Sign Co., Linden, for 20 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

John was predeceased by his wife, Margaret in 1985; and his parents, John and Elsie (Gross) Quilter. Surviving is his companion, Sonja Folk; a daughter, Sharon Caluchi of Old Bridge, a sister, Dorothy Breen of Laurence Harbor; a grandson, Alex Caluchi; and two nieces, Elona Folk of Cliffwood and Debra Thime of Old Bridge.

Visitation is Wednesday, 10AM to 12PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, with a noon church service at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, Aberdeen. Interment to follow at St. Joseph ’s Cemetery, Keyport.

TANGO, Gary R., affectionately known as “the crabman,” 55, of Keyport, passed away, Thursday, November 13, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.

Born in Elizabeth, he resided in Laurence Harbor most of his life, before moving to Keyport 20 years ago. He was employed with the Old Bridge Board of Education as a custodian for 23 years, before retiring in August 2008. He was a communicant of Jesus the Lord Church, Keyport; an avid fisherman and crabber; and card player. He served his country in the Navy during Vietnam.

Gary was predeceased by his parents, Jerry and Elizabeth (Kresge) Tango. He is survived by his wife, Francesca (Giaritta) Tango; a daughter, Cheyenne Tango of Keyport and two cousins, Larry Tango of Elizabeth and Mike Tango of Roselle Park.

Monday, from 5-9PM, family and friends are invited to Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, for a memorial gathering, and Tuesday, 9AM, with a 10AM Memorial Mass at Jesus the Lord Church, Keyport. Cremation was private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 27106, New York, NY 10087-7106.

PICARIELLO, Vera A. (Cesario), 88, of Holmdel, passed away, Thursday, November 13, 2008, at home.

Born in Union City, she resided in Cliffwood and Keyport before moving to Holmdel. She was employed as a cafeteria worker with Matawan High School for 10 years, before retiring in 1986. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s RC Church, Keyport; a former member of the Altar Rosary Society; and a member of the St. Clement’s Senior Citizens.

Vera was predeceased by her husband, Peter, in 1977; her parents, John and Maria (Labbate) Cesario; and three sisters, Rose Hoffman, Mary Dan’Duono and Lorrianne Trosi. Surviving are her children, Donna Alcott of Holmdel and Allen Picariello of Toms River; four grandchildren, Jessica Hurd; Peter Picariello; Christopher Alcott and Jennifer Mackie; and one great-grandchild, Melanie Picariello.

Relatives and friends are invited Friday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and Saturday, 8: 30AM, with a 9: 15AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Keyport. Interment to follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.

MARINO, Anthony W., 85, of Hazlet, passed away, Thursday, November 13, 2008l, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.

Born in Hoboken, he resided in Spotswood, before residing in Hazlet for 46 years. He was a key punch operator with Jersey Central Railroad for 47 years. He served his country as a Private 1st Class in the Army during WWII, where he lost a leg in battle and received the Purple Heart and Silver Medal. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree, Spotswood.

Anthony was predeceased by his wife, Lucretia (Lamonte) Marino; three sisters and two brothers. Surviving are his children, Anthony Michael Marino of San Marcos, CA; Kathleen Yolanda Meagher of Old Bridge; Michele Anne Squire of Helmetta; Jacqueline Concetta Smith of Sanford, FL; Maria Ann Salici of Middletown; and Joseph Anthony Marino of Hazlet; seven grandchildren, Sheila Kathleen Smith; Shannon Anne Kulwicki; Jessica Anne Squire; Alyssa Marie Squire; Nicole Marie Salici; Tristan Stephen Salici; and Christopher George Meagher; and soon to be great-grandfather to Skylar Jeanine Kulwicki; and his 1st wife, Catherine Ann Marino of Spotswood.

Family and friends are invited Sunday, 2-4 & 6-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, and Monday, 8: 30AM, with a 9: 30AM Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family RC Church, Union Beach. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

WEBER, Elaine E. (Trolian), 64, of Spotswood, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at home.

Born in Elizabeth, she resided in Old Bridge and Keyport, before moving to Spotswood seven years ago. She was employed for 15 years in accounts receivable with Hanover Insurance Company, Piscataway, retiring in 2000. She was the treasurer for the Raritan Bay Cougars pop warner football, Old Bridge, for 28 years; a past member, Ladies Auxiliary and treasurer of the Laurence Harbor Little League; volunteer for Madison Park Little League and Mid Madison Girls Softball; and Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts and Brownies.

Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Dominick and Lena (Sarno) Trolian; a son, Michael in 1973; and a brother, John Trolian. Surviving are her husband, Gary; her children, Cheryl Bonczek and Deborah Weber, both of Sayreville; Garry Weber of Old Bridge and Michelle Zeno of Hightstown; her siblings, Ralph Trolian of Sebring, FL; Dominick Trolian of New Hampshire; Douglas Trolian of Wyoming; Robert Trolian of Kentucky; Susan Bilotti of Sarasota, FL; and Patricia Hammond of Keyport; and eight grandchildren, Anthony Zeno, Jr.; Angela Zeno; Matthew Bonczek; Justin Bonczek; Christopher Weber; Haley Weber; Dominique Zeno and Michael Zeno.

Relatives and friends are invited Sunday, 12-2PM & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, and Monday, 8AM, with a 9AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence RC Church, Laurence Harbor. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

Louis, Charlotte A., 79, of Sayreville, passed away, Monday, November 10, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital.

Born in Bridgeville, PA, she resided in Margate, Middletown and 20 years in Sayreville. She was the owner of Charlotte ’s Western Wear, Sayreville, for 15 years, before retiring in 2003.

Charlotte was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Josephine (Derosky) Bonosky; a son, Andrew Louis in 1993 and a daughter, Lonna Scruby in 2007. Surviving are two sons, Gary Louis and his wife, Linda, of Keyport; Greg Louis and his wife, Susan, of Sayreville and a daughter, Tami Crupi and her husband, Armand, of Freehold; two sisters, Rosemary Dalbon and Dorothy Roussey, both of Bridgeville, PA; and six grandchildren, Lindsay, Lauren, Courtney, Daniel, Michael and Jonathan.

Family and friends are invited Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, and Friday, 9: 30AM, with a 10AM service at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
