Borr, Donald F., 76, of Matawan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Monday, November 10, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he resided in Matawan for fifty years. He was a member of the Matawan Presbyterian Church. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. For fifteen years, he was a compensation manager with ITT, NY, retiring 18 years ago.

Donald was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Naomi (Thomas) Borr. Surviving are his wife, Carole (Harcher) Borr; a daughter, Cynthia Toomey of Toms River ; two sons, Richard Borr of Green Brook and Thomas Borr of Aberdeen ; a brother, Richard Borr of Downingtown, PA ; and five grandchildren, Kate, Meghan, Alexa, Carina and Sheryl.

Family and friends are invited Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, and Thursday, 9AM, with a 10AM church service at Matawan Presbyterian Church, followed by interment at Rosehill Cemetery, Matawan.

PATRICIA A. GULICS ADELL of JACKSON – died Sunday, November 09, 2008 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was 62.

Born in Jersey City, she grew up in Woodbridge and graduated Woodbridge High School. She then lived in Matawan for 30 years before moving to Jackson 2 ½ years ago. Prior to her retirement in 2006, she was a parking enforcement officer for the Borough of Matawan. She also worked as a Matawan Crossing Guard, and also had been a retail representative for Eveready Battery for 5 years.

She was predeceased by her father, John Gulics.

Surviving are her husband, Dennis; two sons, Frank and his wife Kim Travisano of Gilbertville, PA, and Andrew and his wife Nicole Adell of Hazlet; a daughter, Sherri Travisano Cagnina and her husband Sal Cagnina of Manalapan; a step son, Dennis Adell Holzapfel and his wife Jen of Toms River; her mother, Mary Crowley Gulics of Woodbridge; a brother, John Gulics of Old Bridge; 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10AM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, followed by an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clement Church, Matawan. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Wednesday from AM.

Conger, Michael John, 52, of Hazlet, passed away Friday, November 7, 2008, at home from a massive heart attack.

Born on April 26, 1956, to the late Marion and Howard Conger, and he was raised on Texas Rd., Morganville. Mike was a dedicated father to his “boy” Michael Anthony Conger, of Philadelphia, PA ; and a devoted brother, cousin and friend to “BB” Charlie Shauer, Christine and Angelina. He also leaves behind a brother, Mark Conger, and a sister, Linda Conger. He was predeceased by a sister, Gail Conger.

To the many children Mike loved and cared for, he brought happiness and smiles. He was loyal to his beloved family and cherished friends. Mike was a steadfast employee of Beacon Metal for over 30 years. To all who have been blessed by Mike’s generosity, selflessness and unconditional love, he so lavously bestowed to us all for our treasured memories and imprinted souls will live on forever. We love you Mike, rest now and we will see you in the sweet by and by.

Family and friends are invited Wednesday, 7-9PM, for a memorial gathering at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, with an 8PM service. Cremation was private.

HELEN L. JANKOWSKI of ABERDEEN – died Friday, November 7, 2008 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. She was 92.

Born in Matawan, she lived in this area her entire lifetime. She was a bar manager at Walt’s Tavern in the Oak Shades section of Aberdeen for many years before her retirement.

She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters, Walter, Emma, Joseph, Mary and Josephine Montani.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 8: 30 AM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, followed by a 9: 15 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 6-9PM and Wednesday from 8: 30 AM.

Maraziti, Jack R., 79, of Union Beach, passed away at home on Friday, November 07, 2008.

Born in Jersey City, he had resided in Union Beach in 1954. He was an assembly line worker with Western Electric, Kearny, for 30 years, retiring in 1984; and also worked as a deli cutter for Shop-Rite for 39 years, retiring in 2004. He was a former communicant with Holy Family RC Church, Union Beach; a member of the Butchers Union Local #646, Parsippany; and with the Telephone Pioneers. He served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Jack was predeceased by his wife, Catherine (Minor) Maraziti in 1996; and his father, Frank Maraziti. Surviving are his mother, Rose (DeMartino) Maraziti; his children, John Catlow of Keansburg, Jean Arnold of Farmerville, LA, Thomas Catlow of Monroe, LA, Maggie Gogel of Hazelton, PA, Joann Migliore of Asbury Park, Michael Maraziti of Union Beach, and Michelle Kish of Pennsauken; two sisters, Joann McGrath of Jersey City and Fran Coratti of Howell; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited Monday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and Tuesday, 9: 45 AM, with a 10: 30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Keyport. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.

Gorman, Lena, 85, of Tinton Falls, passed away Friday, November 7, 2008, at home.

Born in South Camden, she resided in Union and Medford before moving to Tinton Falls eight years ago. Before retiring in 1970, she was employed with Campbell Soup for ten years and RCA for six years in Camden. She was a communicant of St. Leo the Great Church, Lincroft.

Lena was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Mary DiSeveria. Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Colleen Babnew of Tinton Falls ; two grandchildren, Ryan and Jack Jr. Babnew; two brothers, Harry DiSeveria of Edgewood, and Robert DiSeveria of Ft. Meyers, FL ; and two sisters, Rita Nastasi of Haddon Heights and Helen Saylor of Medford.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, 10-11AM at St. Leo the Great Church, Lincroft, with an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at the church. Interment to follow at St. Joseph ’s Cemetery, Keyport.

Frigoletto, Laura, 95, of Honesdale, PA, formerly of Keyport and Hazlet, passed away, Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Ellen Memorial Health Care, Honesdale, PA.

She was born in New York City. She was employed as a seamstress with ILGWU, NY, for 50 years, before retiring in 1984. She was a communicant of St. Joseph ’s Church, Keyport.

Laura was predeceased by her husband, Anthony, in July 1997; her parents, Mario and Bessie (Badami) Castro; and a sister, Jean Castro. Surviving is her son, Anthony C. Frigoletto of Beach Lake, PA ; a brother, Peter Castro of New Mexico ; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 11AM at St. Joseph ’s RC Church, Keyport, followed by entombment at St. Joseph ’s Mausoleum, Keyport. Visitation will begin 9: 30AM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, prior to Mass.
Davidson, James F., 69, of Old Bridge, died Nov. 2, 2008 at the Bartley Healthcare Center, Jackson .

Born in Orange, he lived in Hazlet before moving to Old bridge 8 ½ years ago. Mr. Davidson was navy veteran during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a printer for 30 years and he was employed by Web Offset in Brooklyn and Lasky Printing of Millburn. Mr. Davidson was a communicant of Most Holy Redeemer Church, Old Bridge and a member of the Hazlet Heavy Rescue for 25 years.

Surviving are his companion, Janet Snyder of Old Bridge, a son and his companion, James W. and Debra Kozlowski of Hazlet, a sister Joan Cinnamon of CA; and a brother William of Morristown. He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn in 1997; his brother Edward in 2006; and a sister, Margaret Tappen in 2000.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 9AM at the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ, followed by a 10AM Mass at Most Holy Redeemer RC Church, Old Bridge. Entombment to follow at the Fair View Mausoleum, Middletown. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9PM.

Stella (Giglio) Cate, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 2, 2008, at the Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.

She was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Loretta (Castiglio) Giglio. Stella was predeceased by her husband Burrell (Jack) Cate in 2006, and her siblings, Patsy and Joseph Giglio and Phyllis Nemeth. She is survived by her brother and sister in law, Pasquale and Maureen Giglio of Juno, FL and Mary Giglio of Avenel, as well as five children and their spouses, Buddy and Linda Cate of Cliffwood, Joseph and Terese Cate of Howell, John and Monica Cate of Jackson, Darla Cate Stoop and Robert Stoop of Keansburg and Donna Cate and Richard Brenner of Union Beach. She was the grandmother of thirteen Paul, Sherri, Melissa & Matthew, Jennifer, Joseph & Toni, Jenny, John James, Tony, Ashley, Edward & Danielle, as well as the great grandmother of five, Michael, Alexis, JoJo, Joleigh,and Evan.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday evening 8: 00pm at the Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place, Keyport. Visitation will be Wednesday2-4 & 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

EASTMOND, Adrienne, a lifelong resident of Hazlet, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.

She was born in North Bergen. Adrienne was a communicant of St. Benedict’s Church, Holmdel, and worked as a back-up head teller with Bank of America, Matawan for the past 14 years.

Adrienne was predeceased by her father, Anthony Kurc in 2006; and a sister, Cheryl Demeter in 2007. Surviving are her husband, Brian Eastmond; two daughters, Angela and Ashley Eastmond, both at home; her mother, Joan Kurc; two brothers, Anthony Kurc of Oclawah, FL, and Michael Kurc of Spring Lake; and a sister, Theresa Kurc of Highlands; and a very dear friend, Vicki Cevasco of Morganville.

Relatives and friends are invited Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and Wednesday, 9AM, with a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict’s RC Church, Holmdel. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph ’s Mausoleum, Keyport.

Mary D. (Gerrity) Fitzpatrick Quirke, 90, of Hazlet, passed away, Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at home.

Born in Brooklyn, she resided there before moving to Hazlet in 1973. She was a communicant of Holy Family RC Church, Union Beach. Mary was employed as a secretary with Chase Manhattan Bank, NYC, and then with Mitsui Imports, NYC, retiring in 1983.

Mary was predeceased by her first husband, John Fitzpatrick in 1963; and her second husband, John F. Quirke in 1999. Surviving are her children, and their spouses; Gerard and Carol Fitzpatrick of Virginia Beach; Anne Rehm and her companion, Peter Soper of Brick; Jane and Alfred Peavy of Phonicia, NY; John and Debbie Fitzpatrick of Brooklyn; Mary and Sam Sulsky of Brooklyn; James and Margaret Fitzpatrick of Hazlet; Patricia and Tom Sooy of Palm Harbor, FL; Eileen and Ed Shown of Morganville; Veronica Fitzpatrick of Tampa, FL; Joan and Rick Berardo of Rumson; two stepchildren, William and Deborah Quirke, both of NY; 16 Grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited Friday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ; and Saturday, 8: 30AM, with a 9: 30AM Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family RC Church, Union Beach, NJ. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
