RAISA SCHICK, 89, of Nyack, N.Y., formerly of HOWELL, died Sunday, Aug. 1, at Nyack Hospital, Nyack. Mrs. Schick was born in Russia, came to the United States in 1950, and had lived in Howell, and Vienna, Va., before moving to Nyack. in 2000. She was a member of St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Howell. Mrs. Schick was a housekeeper/custodian at the Howell Township Board of Education for 15 years, retiring in 1978.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander, in 1971. Surviving are two sons, John Schick of Hawaii, and George Schick of Princeton; a daughter, Tatiana Ham of Vienna, Va.; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox (Old) Church, Alexander Avenue, Howell. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the (Old) Church with the Rev. Valery Lukianov officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lakewood. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Schick may be made to the Holy Trinity Monastery, Jordanville, NY 13361 and would be appreciated. C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia, is in charge of arrangements.

JOHN R. DALY OF MILLSTONE TOWNSHIP, NJ, 47 on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at home. Mr. Daly was born in West Babylon, NY and had lived in the Bay Ridge Section of Brooklyn, NY and Freehold Twp., NJ before settling in Millstone Twp., NJ in 1988.

Mr. Daly was the President & CEO of Aligned Energy Concepts, Inc., Millstone Township, NJ. Mr. Daly was a graduate of Pratt Institute, NY. He was a Senior Member & a Certified Power Quality Professional of the Association of Energy Engineers. He was also recognized as an Honored Professional in the Who’s Who of Executives & Business in 2002.

Mr. Daly was predeceased by his mother, Evelyn Daly in 1996. Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Susan Daly of Millstone Twp. Two daughters, Dana & Tara Daly of Millstone Twp. His father, Jack Daly of Brooklyn, NY.

Visiting at the C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia, NJ, on Monday, October 11, 2004, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at 11: 00 AM on Tuesday at the DeBow’s United Methodist Church, 509 Monmouth Rd, Jackson, NJ with Rev. Betty Gibbons officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Daly may be made to American Cancer Society, 801 Broad Street, Shrewsbury, NJ 07702-4201 and would be appreciated.

PATRICIA A. CESTERO, 77, of FREEHOLD, died Sunday, Dec. 5, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, surrounded by her family. She was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, Freehold Township. Mrs. Cestero retired from the Fairfax County School System, Virginia, in 1996. Born and raised in New York City, Patricia graduated with highest honors from the Notre Dame Convent School, New York City, which she attended on a full academic scholarship, the Class of 1945. She then went on to earn a B.S. degree in chemistry, as a pre-med student, also on full academic scholarship at Good Counsel College, now the College of White Plains, Pace University, New York, the Class of 1949.
She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Jayne Fischer. Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Albert J. Cestero Sr.; her daughter, Christine Cestero; her sons, Albert J. Cestero Jr. and his wife, Jackie, Richard F. Cestero and his wife, Caroline, and Michael S. Cestero and his wife, Toni, all of Freehold. Her hobbies included horseback riding, going to Broadway shows and concerts, and going on cruises with the love of her life, Albert Sr. The stars of her green Irish eyes were her grandchildren, who always brightened her day: Sharon Colin, Krista Scheimreif, Shea and Sarah Cestero, Zachary and Shannon Cestero and great-granddaughter, Lauren Chiavarini. Patricia is also survived by her dearest sister-in-law, Christina Di Donato and her husband Tony of Winston Salem, N.C.; and the many others her life had touched.

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia. Relatives and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at The Church of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Cestero may be made to the children's charity of your choice.

MARTHA PETTERSEN DOBBIN, 90, of HOWELL, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Monmouth County Care Center, Geraldine L. Thompson Division, Allenwood. Mrs. Dobbin was born in Port Richmond, Staten Island. After raising family in Totowa, she resided in Boca Raton, Fla., for 25 years and after her husband's death, she lived with daughter's family in Howell. At the time of her death, Mrs. Dobbin was a member of The Church of the Master, UM, in Howell. While in Totowa, she directed the Children and Youth Choirs and sang with Adult Choir of Totowa United Methodist Church. She served as president of Totowa United Methodist Women and of a local PTA. She also volunteered as accompanist of Totowa schools. While on Staten Island, she was soloist of the Wagner College a Cappella Choir, under the direction of Silas H. Engum. In 2000, Mrs. Dobbin was awarded a Wagner College Class of 1940 Honorarium, from College President Dr. Norman. She was a church secretary for seven pastors of Totowa United Methodist Church, retiring in 1975.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard E., in 1999; and two brothers, Harold and Oswald Pettersen. Surviving are a son, L. Jeffrey Dobbin of Dumont; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn D. and Kenneth M. Kinelski of Howell; a sister, Esther Lambert of Staten Island; a grandson, Rob Kinelski of Howell; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend the Martha Dobbin Celebration of Life Service at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at The Church of the Master, UM, 110 Salem Hill Road, Howell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Dobbin may be made to The Building Fund, The Church of the Master, UM, Howell, NJ 07731. C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia, is in charge of arrangements.

AGNES "CHRIS" NOLL, 76, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Noll was born in Weehawken and lived in Sayreville before moving to Freehold Township 18 years ago. Mrs. Noll was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Freehold. She was also a member of the CentraState Hospital Auxiliary and she worked for the Freehold Township Board of Election. She was a production planner for Revlon, Edison, for over 20 years, retiring in 1990.

Surviving are two sons, James Noll of Freehold Township, and Robert Noll of Toms River; and three grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at the C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Patricia Medley officiating. Interment is private.

ADELBERT L. LE COMPTE, 86, of HOWELL, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, Potomac Hospital, Woodbridge, Va. He was a life-exempt fireman and former chief of the Southard Fire Department, Howell. He was also a member of the Southard Grange 218, Howell; and the Howell Township Republican Club. Mr. LeCompte was a road grade operator for Howell Township Road Department for 21 years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Teresa, in 1985. Surviving are a son, Edwin J. LeCompte of Woodbridge, Va.; a daughter, Loretta LeCompte of Howell; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at noon Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hope Chapel Cemetery, Lakewood.

VIOLET M. HAVENS, of BRIELLE, died Friday, Feb. 11, at home. Mrs. Havens was born in Manasquan and had lived there before moving to Brielle in 1948. Mrs. Havens was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Curtis W. Havens; a daughter, Janet Siegfried of Point Pleasant; a sister, Rosemund P. Linke of Gig Harbor, Wash.; and a niece who was like a daughter, Carol Bennett.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at the C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia. Interment will follow in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Havens may be made to the Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 216 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Jersey Shore, PA 17740 and would be appreciated.

ANTHONY L. ACAMPORA, 74, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Wednesday, July 26, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Acampora was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had lived in Manalapan before moving to Freehold Township two years ago. Mr. Acampora was the former president of Atlas Carbide Tool & Saw Co., Linden, until his retirement in 1994. Mr. Acampora was a parishioner of The Church of St Robert Bellarmine, Freehold Township. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving
during the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife, Amelia Acampora; two sons, Louis Acampora of Freehold Township, and Andrew Acampora of Staten Island; a daughter, Dawn Ann Acampora of Freehold Township; three sisters, Josephine Maturi of Staten Island, Mary Morris
of Lincoln Park, and Elizabeth "Betty" Alward of Brooklyn; and four grandchildren, Andraea, Anthony, Andrew and Mariel Rose.

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Friday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal followed by his 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at The Church of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold.

STELLA O. ADAMS, 89, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Sunday, July 1, at Monmouth Crossing, Freehold Township. Mrs. Adams passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside. Ms. Adams was born in Ozone Park, N.Y., and had lived in Howell before moving to Freehold Township in 2003. She was a homemaker.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, in 1988; and a son, Dennis J., in 1997. Surviving are a son, Charles Adams Jr. of Barnegat; a daughter, Maureen Milek of Jamesburg; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Private funeral services were held under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.

ELLEN L. AHRENS, 78, of COLTS NECK, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Mrs. Ahrens was born in Newark and had lived there before moving to Union and Clark, settling in Colts Neck in 1967. Mrs. Ahrens was a grammar school teacher for the Colt Neck school system for 17 years retiring in 1984. Prior to that she taught in the Clark and Elizabeth school systems. Mrs. Ahrens was a graduate of Peshine Avenue School, Weequahic High School, and Newark State Teachers College (Kean University), all of Newark. She was a long time member of the Emmanuel Methodist Church, Newark. Mrs. Ahrens was a devoted member and honorary president of the Frauenverein Des Lakewood Maennerchor, Howell. She was extremely proud to be a member of this club and their endeavors to preserve the German Culture.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Paul A. Ahrens, whom she married on July 25, 1953, at the Emmanuel Methodist Church, Newark, officiated by Pastor Leopold Schneider; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul A. and Lisa Ahrens of Howell, and Stephen P. and Diana Ahrens of Piscataway; four grandchildren, Arielle, Paul R.F., Jessica and Emily Marie; and numerous cousins in Germany.

All arrangements are private by Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Memorial contributions in memory of Ellen may be made to the charity of your choice.

LOU ALBANESE, 72, of HOWELL, died Friday, Dec. 1, at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore, Md. Mr. Albanese was born and raised in Newark, and had lived in Belleville before moving to Howell in 1964. He was a salesman for Crown Beer Distributors for over 30 years, retiring in 2001. Mr. Albanese was a 1953 graduate of Central High School, Newark. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. Lou was also a past president of the Italian American Club, Brick.

He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Concetta Albanese. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Marie Albanese of Howell; two daughters and a son-in-law, Maria and Pat Gagliano of Freehold, and VikkiAnn Albanese of Owings Mills, Md.; four grandchildren, Nicole, Brooke, Nino, and Gianna; two brothers, Anthony Albanese of Brick, and Bobby Albanese of Brick; and one sister, Mary Linda Rosenwasser of New City, N.Y.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11: 00 AM. Interment will follow in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Lou may be made to the charity of your choice.

EVELYN RUTH ALLISON, 80, of JACKSON, died Friday, May 11, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick.

She is survived by two sons, William and Stewart Allison; a daughter, Kathleen Firlik; two sisters; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, is in charge of the arrangements.
