Mrs. Elinor Bello, 83, of Bloomfield died March 8 at home.

She lived in Union before moving to Bloomfield more than 20 years ago.

Mrs. Bello was the director of medical records at Columbus Hospital in Newark many years ago.

Surviving are a son, George, and two grandchildren.

Rogelio delValle

Rogelio delValle, 78, of Bloomfield died March 3 at home.

Born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, Mr. delValle lived in Paramus before moving to Bloomfield in 1996.

Mr. delValle owned the Paterson Tire Co. in Passaic for 40 years before retiring in 1991. He also founded and owned other tire companies in New Jersey.

Surviving are his wife, Modesta; a son, Roger; a sister and many brothers.

Ella Barrett

Mrs. Ella Barrett, 92, a lifelong resident of Bloomfield, died March 4 in the Ashbrook Nursing Home, Scotch Plains.

Mrs. Barrett was a clerk at the PNC Bank in Bloomfield for 20 years before retiring 28 years ago.

Surviving are daughter, Nan Marshall; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Chester J. Cook Sr

Chester J. Cook Sr., 85, of Bloomfield died March 5 in the Hackensack University Medical Center.

Born in Pennsylvania, he lived in Bloomfield for 43 years.

Mr. Cook was a bridge operator for Conrail in Newark for 30 years retiring 23 years ago.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are sons, Chester J. Jr. and Robert T.; a brother, Charles; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Elsa M. Rennie

Mrs. Elsa M. Rennie, 70, of Rockaway Township died March 5 at home.

Born in Vicenza, Italy, she came to Newark at age 10, and lived in Bloomfield for over 30 years before moving to Rockaway Township in 2002.

Mrs. Rennie worked in product planning for Safilo Inc., Parsippany, before retiring in 2005. Previously, she worked for the Bloomfield Board of Education and for Alfa Romeo of Englewood Cliffs.

She was a member of the Italian Club at Fox Hills Community, Rockaway Township.

Surviving are sons, Stephen, Robert, Michael and David; a brother, Livo Cocco; and 10 grandchildren.

Louise Ruggiero

Mrs. Louise Ruggiero, 71, of Bloomfield died March 11 in Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge.

Born in Newark, she moved to Bloomfield 43 years ago.

Mrs. Ruggiero was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 711, Bloomfield.

Surviving are sons, Michael and Mark; a daughter, Virginia Citarella; sisters, Albina Vecchiarelli and Gloria Picardi; and five grandchildren.

Mildred Daviet

Mrs. Mildred Daviet, 92, died March 2 in St. Vincent’s Nursing Home, Cedar Grove.

Born in Newark, Mrs. Daviet lived in Bloomfield, Montclair and Westbrook before returning to Montclair five years ago. Mrs. Daviet was a salesperson for Bamberger’s department store in Newark and Montclair before retiring.

She was a member of the Westbrook, Conn., Auxiliary Coast Guard.

Surviving are sons, Ralph Jr., Charles and Thomas; and four grandchildren.

Paul Caputi

Paul Caputi, 82, of Bloomfield died March 4 in the Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville.

Born in Newark, he lived in Irvington before moving to Bloomfield 26 years ago.

Mr. Caputi was a mechanical engineer for the Amerace Corp. in Livingston and Union for 13 years before retiring in 1993. He was a designer of a switch used on the first space flight to the moon.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Audrey; a daughter, Jill Kellett; a sister, Rita Price; and two grandchildren.

Rose S. Zungoli

Mrs. Rose S. Zungoli, 80, of Bloomfield died March 5 in Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge.

Born in Belleville, she lived in Bloomfield for 45 years.

Mrs. Zungoli was a seamstress at Nicks Tailor Shop, Newark.

Mrs. Zungoli was a volunteer in the library at the Carteret School in Bloomfield for many years.

Surviving are Daniel, her husband of 55 years; a daughter, Sandra Tansey; sons, Nick, Steve and Danny; and seven grandchildren.

Evelyn ONeill

Mrs. Evelyn ONeill, 87, of Bloomfield died March 5 in Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains.

Born in Newark, she lived in Bloomfield for most of her life.

Mrs. ONeill worked for Westinghouse Inc. in Bloomfield for many years and for Christ Church in Glen Ridge and the Bloomfield Public Library.

Surviving are a son, John; a sister, Helen Bees; and four grandchildren.

Gerard J. Maricondo

Gerard J. Maricondo, 74, of Bloomfield died March 7 in Columbus Hospital, Newark.

Mr. Maricondo was a repairman for Royal Typewriter in Newark for many years before retiring in 1993.

He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving are his wife, Isabel; sons, Gerard M. Maricondo and Stephen Gizzi; a sister, Mary Sciortino; and a grandchild.

Gerald MacIntire

Gerald MacIntire, 71, of the Silver Ridge Park North section of Berkeley Township, died March 9 in the Community Medical Center, Toms River.

Born in Orange, he lived in Bloomfield before moving to Silver Ridge Park North in 1988.

Mr. MacIntire was a member of the Bloomfield Fire Department for 26 years before retiring as a fire captain in 1988.

After retiring, he worked for his nephew, Timothy E. Ryan, as an assistant at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals.

Mr. MacIntire served in the Navy from 1954 to 1958 as a pipefitter second class.

He was a member of Firemens Mutual Benevolent Association Local 19, Bloomfield, where he served as a state delegate and secretary, and was a life member of the New Jersey State Firemens Mutual Benevolent Association, the New Jersey State Firefighters Exempt Association and the New Jersey State Firemens Association.

A member of Elks Lodge 1875 in Toms River, Mr. MacIntire was named the Elk of the Year for 1999-2000 and later received the New Jersey State Elks Association Presidents Award and the Elks National Veterans Volunteer Award.

Also with the Elks, he was 2002-2003 Officer of the Year of the Grand Lodge Order of Elks, a past exalted ruler and a former chairman of the South East District Elks National Veteran Service Committee. He was also an officer of the Past Exalted Ruler Association.

Frances Seery

Frances M. Seery, 84, of Linden died March 11 in the Cranford home of her sister, Mary O’Brien.

Born in Elizabeth, Miss Seery moved to Linden in 1993. She worked for the city of Elizabeth for many years before retiring from the water department as a clerk. Miss Seery was a volunteer for the bingo committee, flea market committee and committee to wrap gifts for the poor at the Ann J. Ferguson Towers in Linden. In addition, she was a sacristan at the First Friday Mass and a member of the Friendship Club, also at the Ann J. Ferguson Towers.

Helene Morse

Helene Morse, 74, a lifelong resident of Linden, died March 12 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway.

Mrs. Morse was a member of the Sisterhood of Congregation Anshe Chesed, Linden, the Linden Chapter of the Hadassah and the Hilda Gould Chapter of Deborah. She also was a member of the Linden Board of Education.

Surviving are two sons, David and Harold, and two grandchildren.

James Cassino

James M. Cassino, 85, of Linden died March 12 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway.

Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Cassino moved to Linden 58 years ago. He was a store keeper at Simmons Manufacturing Co., Elizabeth, for 40 years before retiring 22 years ago. Mr. Cassino was a member of the Linden Knights of Columbus Council 2859 and the former bar chairman and Columbian Club president. Mr. Cassino was a member of the St. Elizabeth’s Holy Name Society, Guard of Honor and Encounter with Christ, Linden. He served on the Pulaski Day Parade Committee, the Simmons Credit Union and the Exxon Annuitants and the Political Action Committee of Linden.

Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Margaret.
