YETTER, JANE S., 76, of Galloway Township, and formerly of Brigantine, passed away quietly on July 6 at her residence. She was born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA and moved to NJ after her marriage to M. Russell Yetter, Jr., who predeceased her.
She worked for the City of Brigantine as the Court Clerk until her retirement in 1989 and was a former member of the Brigantine Lions Auxiliary Club.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and is survived by her son, Richard Yetter of Galloway; her daughter, Patricia Brown and her husband Hugh of Galloway; her daughter, Barbara Saccoccia and her husband Richard of Brigantine; six grandchildren, Rachel Wamsher and her husband Frank of Galloway, Caitlin Brown, Sean Brown, Alicia Saccoccia, Melissa Saccoccia and Maria Saccoccia; and one great grandchild, Isabella Wamsher; and her sister, Ruth McDowell of Southampton, PA.
Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2003 a the Lowenstein Funeral Home, 58 So. New York Road (Rte 9), Smithville, NJ 08205 where relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Atlantic County Veterans cemetery in Estell Manor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Galloway Volunteer Ambulance Squad, Station 1, 311 Carton Ave., Germania, NJ 08205.

DANZIGER, RUTH 79, of Vineland, (from 1942-1986) passed away on Sunday in Cherry Hill, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Ruth worked at the Vineland High School, as a financial secretary for 25 years. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Aileen of Blackwood, two sons and their wives, Norman and Sandy of Hains Port and Barry and Michele of Ocean View, and two granddaughters, Abby and Lisa.
Services will be held for family and friends at The Rone Funeral Service 1110 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland, NJ 08360 on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at 2:30 PM. Interment will follow at the Alliance cemetery in Norma. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Heart Association of New Jersey, Memorial Department 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902 or Alzheimer's Association - South Jersey Chapter, The Atriums at Greentree Commons, 1100 Lincoln Drive West, Suite 7, Marlton, NJ 08053-3431 for Ruth's memory.

SOIFER, ABRAM LOUIS, "ABE", 96, of Vineland, died July 18, 2003 at Genesis Eldercare Network, Millville. Born in Chester, PA.
An all around athlete, Abe graduated Chester High School where he made All State full back in football, he also attended Allentown Prep where he also played full back.
Abe attended Temple University where he played football and its team was considered one of the strongest in the Country. Also while attending Temple Abe was on the boxing team. He later became inducted in the Delaware County Football hall of fame. Abe also played for the first Pro-football team in Philadelphia, later known as the Philadelphia Eagles.
A self employed manufactures Rep. before his retirement for nearly 20 years in Chester, PA. Abe also worked at the Vineland Senior Center in the 1980's and 90's on the Green Thumb Program.
Abe followed all sports, enjoyed playing bridge, reading, loved being with his family and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
Survivors: son & daughter-in-law Mark & Toby Soifer, Vineland; son & daughter-in-law Jesse & Coni Soifer, Philadelphia, PA, grandchildren: Rebecca, David, Jessica, Rachel great grandchildren: John, Talia, Jacob, Ian, Joie, Julia, Rena, Sarah many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by wife, Irene (Goodman) Soifer in 1984, brother, Joe North, Alex North and Harry North.
Arrangements under the direction of Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland.

NARKUNSKI, RIVA, 83, of Ventnor, passed away on July 20, 2003 at Shore Memorial Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer. A Holocaust survivor, Riva was born in Vilna, Poland and came to America in 1949 where she was an area resident or over 50 years.
Above all else, Riva was devoted to her family and friends. A gracious, hospitable, loving woman she delighted in hosting family dinners and enjoyed her weekly card games with her friends she loved so dearly.
She was an active board member of Amit Women where she was awarded mother of the year.. She was also a member of Chabad House.
Predeceased by her husband, Samuel and son Isaac who was killed in the Holocaust, Riva is survived by her son, Abe and his wife, Rosette (nee Gelernter) of Boca Raton, FL; daughter, Hannah of Linwood; grandchildren, Jessica (John) of Los Angels; Monica (Brett) of Long Island, NY; Jamie and Mark of Linwood; great grandchildren, Max and Zack of Los Angeles. Riva also leaves behind her nieces, Molly Kiejdan of Linwood, and Miriam Trocki of Margate; brothers-in-law, Isaac and Joseph Narkunski of Israel and sister-in-law, Bunia Meyers of Ohio and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2003 at the Holocaust section of Rodef Sholom cemetery in Egg Harbor Township. Contributions in her memory maybe made to Amit Women c/o Jeanette Greenbaum, 9011 Ventnor Ave., Margate, NJ 08402 or Jewish Family Services, 607 N. Jerome Ave., Margate, NJ 08402, or the Chabad House, 8223 Fulton Ave., Margate, NJ 08402.
Arrangements are by the Roth-Goldsteins' Memorial Chapel of Atlantic City.

SHOOP, WILLIAM O., of Cape May passed away on July 19, 2003. He was born in Philadelphia in 1923, formerly of Stratford, he resided in Cape May since 1983. After 35 years of service with Amtrak, he retired in 1983 as Superintendent of Passenger Train Movement. He served in the US Navy Submarine Service for six years during and after World War II and received many awards and commendations for his service in the Pacific. Mr. Shoop was a member of St. John of God Church, where he served as a lector and in many other capacities. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Mary's Council #6202, Cape May and North Cape May Senior Citizens. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Miriam; daughter, Diane Pozzi of Middletown, DE; sons: Alan of Somerdale, John of Destin, FL and Joseph of Johnson City, TN; sisters, Frances Bjorseth of Bristol, PA, Florence Davidson of Oakford, PA, and eight grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, 11:30 a.m. at St. John of God Church, Townbank Rd., N. Cape May, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in New St. Mary's cemetery, Bellmawr. Contributions in his memory are requested to: Christ Child Society, PO Box 882, N. Cape May, NJ. WEBER, GRACE I., 61, of Hammonton, died Saturday, July 19, 2003, in Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton. She had been in failing health for several years.
Mrs. Weber was born in Bridgeton and was the daughter of Helen Boultinghouse Ruberts of Bridgeton and the late Earl E. Ruberts. She had lived in the Hammonton area for 30 years and prior to that had been a resident of Bridgeton.
She was a registered nurse by profession and prior to being disabled 15 years ago, she had been employed with Medford Leas, Bridgeton Hospital, Ancora State Hospital and the Guidance Center in Cumberland County.
She was a graduate of Bridgeton High School and the Wilmington General Hospital School of Nursing. She was also a graduate of Richard Stockton State College where she received her B.S. and Masters Degree in Nursing.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Bridgeton, Soroptomist Club of Hammonton, the Sunshine Foundation and the S.P.C.A. in Vineland. She enjoyed ceramics, gardening, and jigsaw puzzles.
Besides her mother, survivors include: her husband, William E. Weber, Jr.; one brother and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, July 24, at 10:30 a.m. o'clock in the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township. Burial will be in Friendship-Finley cemetery, Upper Deerfield Township. Friends will be received Thursday morning between 9:30 and 10:30 o'clock at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. John's Lutheran Church, Oak & Giles Sts., Bridgeton, NJ 08302.

AMENDT, EDWARD J., 61, of San Jose, CA, entered into rest July 8, 2003, in San Jose, CA. Beloved husband of 41 years to Isabelle Sannino Amendt. Loving father of David of Hollister, CA, Bill of Yelm, WA, Joseph of Fresno, CA, and Brian of San Jose, CA. Loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren. Edward is also survived by his mother, Mary Amendt, his sisters Rosemary and Haidee, his brother Robert, and several nieces and nephews, all of New Jersey.
Edward was born on February 18, 1942 in Patterson. After Edward graduated from Ocean City High School in 1960, he joined the Air Force and served four years in the service. The last year being served in Vietnam.
Edward enjoyed traveling in his RV, visiting railroad museums, and riding on historic steam trains. Edward recently fulfilled his long time dream of riding the Durango Silverton Steam Train in Durango, Colorado four weeks before his passing.
Edward will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

GANIEL, SR., LEONARD G., 80, of Egg Harbor City, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2003 at his home. He was born in Pottstown, PA and has resided in this area for many years. He formerly worked at Pacemaker Boat Co. in Lower Bank, and retired from Viking Yacht in New Gretna, working in Research and Development. He served his country honorably during WW II, as a member of the Army Air Corp. He is survived by his wife, Julia Merline Ganiel of Egg Harbor City; his son, Kenny Ganiel and his wife, Ellie of Weston, FL; his grandchildren, Nina Famularo, Kerry Ann Ganiel, Kevin Ganiel, and Pamela Ganiel; his brothers, Leon Ganiel, Adolph Ganiel, Joseph Ganiel, and William Ganiel; his sisters, Cecilia Casciano, Margaret Wanek, and Catherine Gatto. He is predeceased by his children, Leonard G. Ganiel, Jr. (1989) and Gail Ganiel Watson (1999). A Memorial Visitation with family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (609-965-0357). A Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003 at St. Nicholas Church, 525 St. Louis Avenue, Egg Harbor City. Interment of his ashes will follow at Holy Cross cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Church or Compassionate Care Hospice.

WARNER, JAMES H., 66, of Cape May Beach, died on July 21, 2003 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was an area resident for 18 years. Mr. Warner was a Philadelphia Police Officer for 25 years. He was then employed by the Hilton Hotel & Casino for 18 years. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Nancy (Moffet); a son, James and wife Mary Ann of Blackwood; two daughters, Mary of Atlantic City and Kathleen Crossan of N. Cape May; a sister, Margaret Shannon and five grandchildren, Katie, Jimmy, Jessica, Rebecca and Sara. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, 11 a.m. at St. Raymond's Church, Bayshore & Ocean Ave., Villas, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring. Donations in his memory are requested to: American Cancer Society, 626 N. Shore Rd., Absecon, NJ 08201. Evoy Funeral Home.

JAYNE, IDA D., 86, of Barnegat, died on Monday, July 21 at Southern Ocean County Hospital. She was a member of the Rockaway Valley Methodist Church, Boonton Township, and a member of the church choir. She was a member of the Boonton Township Ladies Auxiliary and was Miss Denville in 1934. Born in Irvington, she lived in Boonton and Toms River before moving to Barnegat 14 years ago. She is survived by her husband, Robert C.; daughter, Nan D. Vinciquarra, Barnegat; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 23 from 7-9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, Tuckerton, and after 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 24. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover Township.

AMORETTI, SR., EUGENE, 65, of Minotola, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2003 in Minotola. Funeral Service Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. from the Church of St. Michael, 504 West Ave, Minotola. Viewing Tuesday 7-9 p.m. & Wed. 8:45-9:45 a.m. at Rone Funeral Services, 1110 East Chestnut Ave, Vineland. Interment St. Mary's cemetery, E. Vineland.

LANGLOIS, JR., GILBERT C., 47, of Leesburg, died early Sunday morning in Heislerville as the result of an auto accident. Born in Elizabeth, he had lived in Delmont before moving to Leesburg in 1999. He owned and operated the Langlois Bulk Hauling and also Cumberland County Search & Rescue. Mr. Langlois was a member of the Delmont Volunteer Fire Co. for 31 years, serving as chief for 17 years and served as a fire commissioner in Delmont. He was formerly employed at South State Prison and Wheaton Glass Co. An avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan, he also enjoyed restoring old cars. He was predeceased by his father, Gilbert Sr., a brother Charles, and a sister, Cindy Barnes. He is survived by his wife Lisa; two sons, Gilbert C. (Gilbo) III of Mauricetown, Frederick A. of Leesburg; two daughters, Heather Langlois of Mauricetown and Cheyenne S. Langlois of Leesburg; his mother, Harriet Langlois of Delmont; four brothers, James Peters of Millville, David Langlois of Millville, Curtis Langlois of Port Norris and Dick Langlois of Laurel Lake; six sisters, Jeanette Lee of Delmont, Lynn Corson, Dawn Sheppard, Lora Weldon and Rosemary Lugo, all of Laurel Lake, and Maryann Hebert of Pittsgrove Township; three granddaughters, Caroline E. Langlois, summer Noel Langlois and Cassidy Craig; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Barbetti Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main St., Millville. The burial will be in Leesburg Methodist cemetery. Viewing Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to American Heart Assoc., Route 1, N. MURPHY, CAROLYN JEANETTE, 89, of Canton, died Dar-Way Nursing Home, Saturday, August 2, 2003.
Formerly of Absecon, she moved to Canton two years ago to be with her family. She was born August 31, 1913 in Newark, the daughter of William C. and Mamie Cameron Egbert.
She was preceded in death by her husband John H. Murphy in November 2000. She graduated from West Philadelphia High School in 1930 and Philadelphia Normal School in 1933. She graduated and was certified from Glassboro State Teachers College. In 1962 she retired after 23 years of teaching from H. Ashton Marsh Elementary School in Absecon. She was also a member of Absecon United Methodist Church. Carolyn is survived by a daughter Elizabeth Carolyn "Betty" (Laurence) Thoren of Canton, PA. Four grandchildren Rob Thoren of Canton, Christian (Pam) Thoren of Canton, Karen (Jim) Shedden of Troy, Gretchen (Nick) Shaffer of Virginia; 12 great grandchildren, Christian, Madison, Jimmy, Erin, Louisa, Emma, Sophie, Sadie, Sammy, Jake, John, Cameryn. A brother Rev. Charles (Emily) Egbert of Kentucky. A step daughter Patricia Murphy (Craig) Landis of Absecon. She was preceded in death by her first husband Edward Hill and a brother William Egbert.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday August 5 at 2pm from the Morse and Kleese Funeral Hone, Canton, officiating will be Rev. Nick Shaffer and Rev. Glenn Landis. Interment will be in East Canton cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday from 1pm until 2pm. time of service.

SHIVERS, MATILDA J., 90, of Erma, passed away August 3, 2003 at Crest Haven Nursing Home, Cape May Court House, surrounded by family. Matilda was born in Goshen and was a lifelong area resident. She was a housewife and mother and will lovingly be remembered for the care she gave to her many grand, great and great-great grandchildren and all the children she has cared for over the years. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Shivers, Sr., and is survived by three daughters, Pearl and Elmer Taylor of Florida; Mary Long of Cape May Court House; Joan and Ed Taylor of Erma; three sons, Arthur and Joyce Shivers of Rio Grande, Carl and Patricia Shivers and Bruce and Kathleen Shivers, of Cape May Court House; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Matilda was an avid gardener and loved creatures of nature. She loved to crochet and enjoyed watching baseball and wrestling. A private Memorial Service will be held for the immediate family at Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Erma. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are requested to Tabernacle Church, 656 Seashore Rd., Erma, NJ 08204. Evoy Funeral Home.

VAI, IRENE L. (BONONCINI), 88, of Vineland, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2003 at SJHS Elmer.
Born in Piney Hollow, a long time resident of Vineland. Formerly employed for American Sportswear Clothing Co. as a machine operator, she has been employed for the Vineland Board of Education as a Bus Driver for 20 years before her retirement. A member of the Queen of Angels Parish, Buena Borough, and the Catholic Daughters. Irene enjoyed dancing, trips to the Atlantic City Casinos, sewing, cooking and an avid Nascar fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her two grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons: Garry Vai, Glenn Vai & Dennis Vai & his fianc‚e Denise Yacovelli, all of Vineland; a daughter: Deborah Vai Lillie of Vineland; grandson Gary, Jr.; granddaughter Lauren Lillie and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bruno in 1973; brothers: Lindo & Frankie Bononcini; sister: Patricia Musto.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM from the Church of Our Lady of Victories, 202 Northwest Boulevard Landisville. Interment will be in Our Lady of Victories cemetery, Landisville. Friends may call Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church.
