PROHOWICH, HOLLY JANE (WHILDEN), 30 - of Millville, died Saturday at her residence.
Born in Millville, she was a graduate of Millville High School, class of 1991, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Joseph University of Philadelphia in 1995.
She was the office manager at the Millville Rescue Squad, and prior to that, the office manager for Rajendra M. Sharma, MD of Vineland. She attended St. John Bosco Catholic Church of Millville. Holly was a free spirit and forever concerned for the needs of others. She had deep love of her family, friends, life, nature, music and the seashore.
She is survived by her husband Brian M. Prohowich; two sisters, Marianne DeTullio of Smithville and Melissa Wolf and her husband Chris of Pittsgrove; her mother Charlene M. (Quinn) Whilden of Millville; her parents-in-law Ted and Barbara Prohowich of Millville; a brother-in-law Ted Prohowich of Millville; two uncles, Donald Podewill of Norristown, PA and Uncle Tom and Aunt Sissey Quinn; a cousin Donna Marino of West Chester, PA, and a God-child Ashley Marino also of West Chester.
She was predeceased by her father Charles "Pete" V. Whilden Jr. and her Aunt Mary Podewill.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville.
There will be a viewing Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service.
Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Millville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 576, Millville, NJ 08332.

PRIZANT, RUTH (GOLDBERG), 87 - of Vineland, passed away August 25, 2003, in Philadelphia. She resided in Vineland for over 60 years and is the widow of Felix Prizant. She and her late husband were avid travelers. She was active in many local organizations including Hadassah and Hebrew Women's Benevolent Society of which she at one time served as president.
Two daughters survive her, Susan Prizant Schmid and husband Peter of Switzerland and Sharon Prizant Kotok of Portland, Maine. Three grandchildren, Rachel Prizant Kotak and her partner, Ben Harth, Sarah Beth Kotok and Mitchell Jay Kotak. In addition, two brothers, Sheldon (Shep) Goldberg and his wife, Toni Goldberg of Philadelphia and Dr. Albert Goldberg and his wife Linda Goldberg of Larkspur, CA survive her. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Sylvia Ronis and her parents Louis & Alice Goldberg.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning in Alliance cemetery, Gershel Avenue, Norma.
Shiva will be observed at the home of Shep & Toni Goldberg, 1737 Chestnut St. Apt. 800, Philadelphia on Wednesday & Thursday evening of this week.

MASLAND, ANNE MARIE, 49 - of Brigantine (formerly of Atlantic City), died suddenly Monday, August 25, 2003 at home.
Born and raised in Atlantic City, Ms. Masland attended Our Lady Star of the Sea Grammar School and Holy Spirit High School. She also attended College for two years. For 17 years she had been employed by Bally Hotel/Casino and by the Atlantic City Housing Authority for two years.
Ms. Masland is predeceased by her parents, James and Lydia Masland Jr. and her brother, James W. Masland III. Surviving her are brother, William Masland and his wife, Susan of Ventnor; her sister, Francine Masland of Tuckahoe, Glen Graisei of Tuckahoe; extended family member, Johnathan Mohr of Northfield; her Uncle Jack Masland of Ventnor; nephews Billy and Steven Masland of Ventnor; her best friend, Lucile McClay of Brigantine; other nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Funeral Mass for Ms. Masland will be Celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2003, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 2651 Atlantic Avenue. Friends may call from 10 a.m. at the church. The Rite of Committal will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Gormley Funeral Home, 2706 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City.

HERZ, ROSELLA JEAN 44 - of Egg Harbor City, passed away suddenly on August 29, 2003. She was a graduate of Absegami High School. Rosella worked for Print Art in Egg Harbor Township for 5 years. She loved, all different types of Arts and Crafts, traveling with her husband and her beloved cats.
She is survived by her husband Daniel Herz, a daughter Elizabeth and her companion Quan; a son James; sisters, Anna Pettit, Anita Maxwell; close cousins Mary, Bobby, Jeannie and Ed. Predeceased by her mother Anna, Uncle Ed and sister Doris.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 2, 2003 at 6:00 PM at Lowenstein Funeral Home, 58 South Route 9, Smithville of Galloway Twp. (609)652-8330 where friends may call from 4:00 PM until time of service. Interment will be on Saturday, September 6, 2003 at 12:00 at Germania cemetery, Moss Mill Road and Vienna Ave. in Galloway.

TORESDAHL, ANITA "NEETS" - better known as "Neets" to many, passed away on August 30 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, NJ. Born in Chester, Pa. on October 13, 1918 Anita was a Registered Nurse in Philadelphia and later did private duty nursing. She resided for many years in Townsend's Inlet with her family before moving to Dennis Township in 1979. Anita was a long time member of St. Joseph's Church in Sea Isle City. She loved traveling and family holidays. Predeceased by her husband, James E., she is survived by two daughters, Marie Martin and her husband John, of Longport, NJ and Marilyn Chestnutt and her husband, Mike of Wilmington, NC, a son, James and his companion, Carol, of Estes Park, Co., and one granddaughter, Danielle Wechsler and her fianc‚, Jon Brooks, of Ventnor, New Jersey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at 11 o'clock from St. Joseph's RC Church, 43rd and Landis Ave., Sea Isle City, NJ where friends may call from 10 o'clock until the time of mass. Interment will follow in the Cape May County Veteran's cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ. Arrangements by the Godfrey Funeral Homes, Ocean City/Palermo.

CICCHINELLI, ROMEO J. "CHICK" 53 - of Somers Point, died suddenly while landing a prize tuna while fishing offshore. Born in Luco Dei Marsi, Italy; he was a concrete finisher with Cosenza Construction Company in Pleasantville. In addition to his love for fishing, he was an avid golfer.
A devoted and loving husband, he is survived by his wife, Paula (Madden); step daughter Michelle Juliano and her husband Joseph of Somers Point; one grandson, Kyle Juliano of Somers Point; his father Louis of Springfield, PA; two brothers, Albert of Downingtown, PA and Joseph of Westtown, PA; and four sisters, Sara Crimaldi of Springfield, PA, Rosemarie Certo-Ware of Gladwyne, Patricia Cicchinelli of Darby, PA and Vilma Cicchinelli of Broomall, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Somers Point. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the Mass at the church. Arrangements by George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, Linwood.

STEVENS, LEROY 78 - of Atlantic City, died Thursday, August 28, 2003. Mr. Stevens was born in Pungoteague, Va., and had lived in Atlantic City most of his life. He had been a valet attendant at The Lafayette Hotel.
He was baptized at an early age in Holy Trinity Baptist Church, Pungoteague.
His survivors include: His companion, Joyce Kent, Atlantic City; a brother, David Stevens (Maggie), East Orange; two sisters Margaret Brichouse of East Orange and Thelma S. Coston (Harry) of Printer, Va.
Funeral Service will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, September 4, 2003, in Greenidge Funeral Home where friends may call from 10 A.M. on Thursday. Friends may also call on Wednesday, September 3, 2003, from 5 - 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Seaside cemetery, Palermo.

MCNEW, HARRY W. 68 - of Mays Landing, passed away on August 31, 2003 at his home. Born in Camden, Harry was a lifelong resident of Mays Landing. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years where he served during Korea and Vietnam and received a 20 year Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the Navy Fleet Reserve. He was a lifetime member of the Mays Landing Rescue Squad. During his leisure time he enjoyed woodworking and ceramics.
Harry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet L. of Mays Landing; a daughter Connie L. DeCicco of Mays Landing; a son Brian K. McNew, Sr. and his wife Kelly of Atlantic City; 6 grandchildren: Biagio A. and his wife Melissa; Katie, Dominick T., Brian K. Jr., Aaron R; and Shane M.; and 2 great grandchildren: Alyse and Biagio, Jr.
Viewings will be held on Wednesday evening 7-9 p.m. and Thursday morning 10-11 a.m. at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Atlantic County Veterans cemetery, Estell Manor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dorothy Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 227, Dorothy, NJ 08317 or the Twp. of Hamilton Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 420, Mays Landing, New Jersey 08330.

FOWLER, JR., HARRY L. 66 - of Absecon, passed away on August 23, 2003. Services were held on August 27, 2003. Donations may be made in his memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of South Jersey. This is a Correction of previous address given, 1415 Rt. 70 East, Suite 502 Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.

CLARK, HELEN V., 87 - of Hammonton, died Monday, September 8, 2003 at Bishop McCarty Residence, Vineland. Born in Philadelphia, she was an area resident more than 80 years. She was a retired medical librarian from Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and an active parishioner of St. Joseph Church. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. Surviving is one sister Rita Guizio of Vineland, cousin Rita De Cicco of Hammonton and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Thursday 9:00 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St., Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. St. Joseph Church, Third and French Streets, Hammonton, NJ 08037. Interment Holy Sepulcher cemetery, Hammonton. Donations may be made to St. Joseph Church.

EWAN, GLORIA J. (Boccelli), 57 - of Minotola, died Sunday afternoon at home after an extended illness. Mrs. Ewan was born in Hammonton, raised in Landisville, and was a lifelong Buena Boro resident. She was the daughter of the late Carmen Boccelli.
Gloria started her teaching career in 1967 after graduating from Glassboro State College. She started at Sacred Heart High School before going to work for the Vineland Board of Education where she was employed for many years, retiring from the Vineland High School 11-12 Bldg. in 2002. She was a member of the N.J.E.A., N.E.A., & the Queen of Angels Parish, Buena Boro. She loved cooking & enjoyed decorating.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Jack Ewan; one daughter, Kim Ewan; one son & daughter-in-law, Brian & Debbie Ewan; one grandson, Jake Ewan, all of Buena Boro; her mother, Pauline Damico Boccelli, Hammonton; one sister, Brenda Boccelli, Mays Landing.
Her funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Church of St. Michael, 504 West Ave., Minotola, with burial to follow in the Our Lady of Victories cemetery, Landisville. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. & again on Thursday from 9-10 a.m. at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland. OXMAN, RITA, - of Cherry Hill, passed away September 7, 2003. Beloved mother of Elinor M. (Bruce) Goldman of Ventnor. Services 1 p.m. Tuesday. Berschler Shenberg and Blady F.C., Pennsauken. Interment Har Jehuda cemetery, Upper Darby, PA.

ROGERS, SR., WARREN EDWARDS, 56 - of Atlantic City, died Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at home. Born in Trenton, Mr. Rogers was educated in the Trenton Public School System and attended Stockton State College. He relocated to Atlantic City in the early 1970's. He was employed for the past 25 years at the Institute for Human Development in Atlantic City. He was an honorably discharged US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and received many service medals. Son of the late Beatrice Rogers, brother of the late Joan Rogers, Gloria Brittingham and William Rogers, surviving are his wife, Barbara A. Rogers, one son and daughter-in-law, Warren and Celeste Rogers, Jr., one daughter, Wanda D. Rogers, his father, William Rogers, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Carl Rogers, Barclay and Louise Rogers, Rory and Evette Rogers, nine sisters-in-law and seven brothers-in-law, Willene and Charles Dixon, Mary Seay, Amanda and Kevin Bilhips, Yvonne and Greg Addye, Catherine Seay, Rose Seay, Fredrick and Jackie Seay, Ernest Seay, Clifford and Vanessa Seay, David and Justine Sherman, mother-in-law, Cloe Seay, four grandchildren, Camryn Rogers, Zion, Zicara and Zachary Whyte and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1225 Calhoun St., Trenton. Burial will be in Ewing cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 9-11 at the chapel.

GARCIA, JOSE, 37 - of Hollywood, FL, formerly Atlantic City, passed away most suddenly, on September 6, 2003 as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident. He is survived by his son, Enrique Garcia of Linwood; his mother Lilia (nee Morrell) Garcia of Havana, Cuba; a brother, Oscar Morrell of Linwood; and his significant other, Jerry Grooms of Atlantic City. Mr. Garcia is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, September 10, 2003 from 6-9 p.m. at the Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc., 1650 New Road in Northfield. Funeral Service and burial information will be announced at a later date.

BREWSTER, JR.n CHARLES E., 44 - of Villas, died suddenly Sunday, September 7, 2003. Born in Philadelphia, he resided in the Manayunk section of the city before moving to this area 31 years ago.
Mr. Brewster was employed with the Action Supply Company of Tuckahoe and had worked 15 years with the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority. He had served in the National Guard. He is the son of Gloria McFaul Brewster of Villas and the late Charles E. Brewster who died in 2001.
Other survivors include his loving companion Nannette Morse, his children: Joseph C. and Tiffany Brewster both at home, his beloved brothers and sisters: Patti Tanghare of Cape May Court House, Jim Brewster of Villas and Ann Furst Mays Landing; nieces and nephews: Frank IV, JamieLynn, and Samantha, his cousins: Kristin, Drew, Katie, Mark, Eleanor and Candy.
Funeral services will be Thursday evening 8:00 p.m. at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May. Burial will be private. Friends may call Thursday evening 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

BEDELL, ELIZABETH (BETTY) - of Tuckerton, died on September 13, 2003 at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin.
She was predeceased by her husband Roland in 2002. Also predeceased by her daughters, Doreen Horton and Beatrice Wojceichowski.
She is survived by her brother, Bobby Parker of Miami, FL; grandchildren, Anthony and Stephanie Wojceichowski and family with whom she lived in Tuckerton, Tina Wojceichowski of Delanco, Terry Wojceichowski of Bass River, Tracy Wojceichowski of Tuckerton, Danielle Wojceichowski of Riverside, Missy Horton of Delran, and Lauri Horton of Delran; also 13 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday evening 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with viewing hours from 7-9 p.m. at Maxwell Funeral Home, 160 Mathistown Rd., Little Egg Harbor. Burial will be private.
