BARHAM, JULIA 79 - of Marmora, died Friday, December 19, 2003 at Ocean Point Health Care Center in Somers Point.
Born in Atlantic City, she had lived in Linwood, before moving to Marmora in 1980.
Mrs. Barham was formerly employed by Lenox China, The Linwood Convention Center and the Peanut Shoppe of Ocean City.
She is survived by two sons, Russell P. Barham, III, of Beesley's Point, Michael S. Barham of Pleasantville, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three sisters, Genevieve Solimando of Scottsdale, AZ, Mary Gibson of Somers Point, and Laura Tabasso of Ventnor.
Her funeral service and interment will be private at the convenience of her family.
The family suggests those who desire send memorial contributions to Shore Memorial Hospital Cancer Care Center, One East New York Avenue, Somers Point, NJ 08244.
Arrangements by the Godfrey Funeral Home, Ocean City/ Palermo.

HOOD, JR., PERCY LEE - of Egg Harbor Township, died on Friday, December 26, 2003, after a long illness. Percy was born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Percy V. Hood, Sr. and Eliza Gordon Hood. He had lived in this area being employed at Bradlees' as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. He was a member of St Paul AME Church of Pleasantville.
He is survived by his companion of 25 years, Ms. Ethel Lofton; a son, Percy Hood III of California; a cousin, Lillian Onita Monroe of Atlantic City; a grandson and a granddaughter; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Lawrence Hood and a daughter, Victoria Hood.
Funeral Services will be held 11AM Friday, January 2, 2004 at Heaven's Way Baptist Church, Tremont Ave., Egg Harbor Township, where friends may call from 10AM. Burial will be in the Atlantic City cemetery, Pleasantville. Arrangements entrusted to Greenidge Funeral Home, Inc.

WINSTON, RENEE G., 42 - of Cape May Court House, passed away peacefully at the Oceana Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Cape May Court House after a lengthy illness.
Ms. Winston has been a resident of the area since 1993.
She is survived by her son Jamar Young of Philadelphia, PA and her sister Robin ( and Henry) Wise of West Cape May.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the family's convenience.
Memorial contributions are suggested in Renee's memory to the Huntington Disease Society of America, 158 W. 29th Street-7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Sudak-Danaher F.H., Cape May.

BELL, II, THOMAS McDONALD, "POP", 80 - of Atlantic City, went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2003 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Suffolk, Virginia on February 15, 1923, to the late Otis and Virgie Bell.
Thomas served in the United States Army during World War II, and was honorably discharged.
He was lastly employed and retired from the City of Atlantic City Police Department Towing Division. After serving 41 years with the United States Post Office, he retired.
Thomas was a devout Catholic until becoming a member of The Second Baptist Church under the Ministership of the Reverend Collins A. Days.
Husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, and friend, Thomas always had a smile on his face and a song in his heart.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Marguerite (Peach) C. Bell; ten children, Margie S. Burgess of Atlantic City, Ruby Bell of Brigantine, Eva Corbitt of Egg Harbor Township, Thomas McD. Bell III, Mark W. Bell, Sr., Michael C. Bell, Sr. (deceased), Matthew E. Bell, Sr., all of Atlantic City, Anthony K. Bell, Sr. (Tony) of Wenonah and Adrian D. Bell of Atlantic City, and Dennis Bell, Sr. of Egg Harbor Township; 39 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. A special cousin, Carol Clark, and family of Atlantic City; son-in-laws, Melvin G. Burgess, Jr., and Donald A. Corbitt Sr. (Donnie); daughter-in-laws, Monica Bell, and Shirley Bell.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2004, at Second Baptist Church, 110 Rev. Dr. Isaac S. Cole Plaza, Atlantic City where friends may call from 9 a.m.
Burial will be in Atlantic City cemetery, Pleasantville.
Arrangements entrusted to Greenidge Funeral Home.

DIGIACOMO, PAUL M. 66 - of Little Egg Harbor, passed away on December 27th in his home.
Born in Jersey City to Antoinette nee Gaurino and Vincenzo James DiGiacomo. At the age of sixteen he began working in construction with his uncles business J. Rullo and Sons, he worked in this area as a laborer for approximately five years before his family moved to California, while in California he worked days in a car wash and nights at a restaurant, a little over a year he was drafted into the United States Army, he served two years active duty as a infantryman here in the US and in Germany. He also served two years in the active Reserves and three years as an inactive Reserve. When he left the armed services Mr. DiGiacomo had achieved the rank of sergeant. Mr. DiGiacomo lived in Newark and Belleville and worked for N.J. Transit as a bus driver for 30 years. Then moved to Little Egg Harbor in 1993 he became an instructor for N.J. Transit for five more years before retiring in 1998.
Mr. DiGiacomo is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jeannie of 22 years. He also was a devoted and loving father of five children Alanna, P.J. and Matthew still living at home. Also Dina and husband Thomas Brarman of Wantage and Maria and husband Tony Giard Sr. of Tuckerton. Paul had five grandchildren Tyler and Maryann Brarman, and Tony Jr., Joseph and Mia Giard, also survived by his mother Antoinette nee Gaurino of Arizona, and five brothers James and his wife Nadine of Arizona, Matthew William of Arizona, Anthony of California, Robert and his wife Kathy of California, Daniel and his wife Karen of California.
Visitation will be today Tuesday December 30 from 2-4 and 7-9:30 pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd., Little Egg Harbor and Wed. December 31 from 9:30-10:30 am. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 11 am. at St. Theresa's RC Church Main St., Tuckerton. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Mem Park Toms River. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society.

HAVILAND, JOHN W., 47 - of Richland, passed away on December 27, 2003. Born and raised in PA, he was educated in the Perkiomen Valley School District. He worked as a machinist for Brandywine Product of North Wales. He served in the US Army and the Army reserves. In 1984 his family relocated to the Haviland Arabians Farms in Richland, where he has worked for the past 20 years. During this time he also worked in Atlantic City as a slot machine mechanic and most recently as an independent contractor for the Callahan Clan of Landisville. During his leisure time he was an avid snow skier, scuba diver, pilot, boater, & fisher. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Preceded in death by his mother, Edith Haviland-Lutz and stepfather, Chief Edward "Bud" Lutz; he is survived by his treasured daughter, Kelleann F. Christie of Collingsdale, PA; his father, Daniel C. Haviland and his wife Cassandra of North Wales, PA; four sisters, A. Susann Aldredge, P.D. "Buttons" Haviland, Suzie Carano, and Danna Lutz, currently attending Rowan University, all of NJ; and his niece, Torrie Lockard and her husband Jim, and their two sons, Jim and Jason of Laurel Lake. He is also survived by his extended family Jan-Jan & Carl Carano, Steph and Harry Callahan and family, all of NJ; lifelong best friend Tony "Junior" Rivera of PA, and his "man's best friend", Kennedy.
John, a man of few words, those he offered always kind, encouraging, sincere and thoughtful; always helpful, there to lend a hand, cut firewood, fix anything. Even in death John quietly gave his gift, the gift of life. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gift of Life Foundation, PMB399, P.O. Box 147050, Gainesville, FL 32614-7050.

COSSABOON, BERT L., 90, - of West Cape May, died Monday in Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House.
Mr. Cossaboon was born in Ocean City and was a lifetime Cape May area resident. He owned and operated Cossaboon's TV Sales and Service in Cape May for 45 years, retiring in 1977.
Mr. Cossaboon was a member of the (Episcopal) Church of the Advent, Cape May. He was a former member of the Cape May Rotary Club; a member of the Cape May City Planning Board and the Zoning Board. He was a member of the former Cape May Rescue Squad. He was a graduate of Ocean City High School, Class of 1932.
He was known for the family parties that he sponsored for many years.
Bert was pre-deceased by his wife, Betty (Roseman) Cossaboon.
Mr. Cossaboon is survived by four daughters: Georgia (Gigi) (and her husband Donald) Embs, of Cold Spring, Sister Barbara Cossaboon, of West Cape May, Patricia (and husband Robert) Sheehan, of Cape May Court House, Elizabeth (and husband John) Gallagher, of Winslow; one son: L. Bert Cossaboon, of Haddonfield; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister in law, Effie Bowman, of North Cape May.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Advent, cor. of Washington & Franklin Sts., Cape May. Relatives and friends may call at the church Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Cold Spring cemetery, Lower Township.

NELSON, EVELYN JOHNSON - of Lanham, Maryland born July 31, 1952 passed away peacefully at her home on January 2, 2004. Survivors: a loving and devoted husband: Eddie Nelson, mothers: Pearl Devine and Eliza (Clarence), Mays Landing, father: Johnny (Sarah) Luke (FL), daughter: Sharmalla (Darrell) Coates (VA), sons: Larry Francois (Shanique Haile) and Kenny Nelson (D.C.), siblings: Sam Travis, Mary Ann Bennett, Jeanette (Drew) Emory, Levon Lewis, Gwendolyn (John) Parillia, Clarence (Jane) Mays, Juanita Spellman, Vincent Mays, Chris Mays, Dwayne Mays, Geravia (Stacey) Solomon (all of NJ), Tawana Spellman (FL), eight other siblings in Georgia), eight grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Mount Rainier Christian Church-33rd Street and Bunker Hill Road Mt. Rainer, Maryland.

GIBBS, RALPH NATHANIEL 51 - of Philadelphia, PA, departed this life on December 31, 2003 after an extended illness. Born in Brooklyn, NY he moved to New Jersey where he gave his life over to God. Ralph then moved to Philadelphia to pursue his ministry as an Evangelist. After he passed his Civil Test, he worked for the Pleasantville Postal Service. Ralph moved to "Philly" to work for the Septa Bus Company, the Convention Center and lastly Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Ralph was a good brother and loved the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memory four brothers, Elder Emanuel Edward Gibbs and wife Rotunda of Richmond, VA, Paul Gibbs and wife Joanne of Pleasantville, Harold Gibbs of Pleasantville, and Joseph Gibbs of New York; four sisters, Betty and Lydia Gibbs both of Pleasantville, Phyllis and husband Rev. John Randall of Vineland, and Santhia Gibbs of New York. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Eddie and Audrey Gibbs.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 09, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 353 So. New Road, Pleasantville. Family and friends may view from 9:00AM until the time of services. Interment, Mt. Calvary Memorial Park, EHT.

LIBRO, JR., STEPHEN A., 42 - of Sea Isle City, died suddenly on January 8, 2004. A life long resident of Sea Isle City, he was a graduate of Ocean City High School Class of 1979. Stephen, along with his lifelong friend and partner, Gary Dever, owned and operated the Town and Country Painting Company for 23 years. He also was an avid fisherman who loved the ocean and boating.
Stephen is sadly missed, loved and remembered by his loving mother, Jane (nee Stango) of Sea Isle City, his beloved son Dennis Patrick, his loving brothers, Terrence of Sea Isle City and Christopher of Egg Harbor Township, beloved son of Stephen A. Libro, Sr. and his wife Helen of Marmora and was the loving stepbrother of Stephanie and John of Marmora. His beloved nieces and nephews Keri and Nichole Libro, Terry Jr. and Delanie also survive him.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday evening January 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 44th and Landis Ave, Sea Isle City. Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Sea Isle City Ambulance Corp., P.O. Box 194, Sea Isle City NJ 08243. Arrangements are entrusted to the Dinan Funeral Home of Ocean View.

MARKIEWICZ, CELIA, 106 - of Wildwood, passed away Saturday at the Lutheran Home in Ocean View.
Born in Poland on May 13, 1897, she was a hairdresser in New York City and later moved to Wildwood.
Mrs. Markiewicz was a longtime member at St. Ann's Church where she sang in the choir.
There are no immediate survivors.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at 11 a.m., at St. Ann's Church, 2900 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be made to St. Ann's Church. Arrangements by the Ingersoll- Greenwood Funeral Home.
