BOGAN, EVA PEARL, 62, of Wildwood, died on Saturday, March 2, 2002 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in Americus, GA, she lived here for thirty years. She was a member and served on the usher board of the Angel Visit Baptist Church in Wildwood. She was a retired packer for the Borden Company.
She is survived by seven sisters: Catherine Bogan of Vineland; Joann Binns of Paterson; Barbara and Virginia Bogan of Millville; Beulah Falls and Lorraine Banks of Houston, TX and Darlene Waters of Port Norris; four brothers: John Bogan of Wildwood; Larry Bogan of Millville; Stanley of Cape May Court House and Mitchell of Atlanta, GA.
Services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2002 at 12 Noon at the Angel Visit Baptist Church, 435 W. Garfield Avenue, Wildwood where friends may call 11 a.m. to Noon. Interment will be in Seaside cemetery, Palermo.

ZEPP, SARAH L. (NEE WRIGHT), 77, of Kissimmee, Fla., died Friday, Mar. 29th at the home of her daughter in Winslow Twsp. Mrs. Zepp was born in Camden where she lived for 40 yrs. and she has resided in Florida for the past 11 yrs. She worked at the Wilson Motel in Camden for 20 yrs. as a Housekeeper. She was predeceased by her husband Vernon last year. She is survived by her children Dorothy Handy of Winslow Twp., Linda Bundy of Mt. Marion, N.Y., Vernon Zepp, Jr. of Selah, Washington, William Zepp of Polk County, Fla., Raymond Zepp of Baltimore, Md., Thomas Zepp of Trappe, Md. and Sarah Brown of Kissimmee, Fla. She is also survived by ten grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Florence Wright of Alaska, Ethel Leibrand of Pitman, Bertha Willmot, Pitman and Lillian Connelly of National Park. Funeral services will be held on Weds. at 7:00 PM at Parsels F.H., 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. Burial will be private. Friends may call on Weds. evening from 5 PM until time of services at the funeral home.

CASCIANO, NICHOLAS, 82, of Egg Harbor City, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2002. He was born, raised and lived all of his life in Egg Harbor City. He served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army during World War II, serving in France and Germany. He was a longtime foreman at Louis Cantor and Sons in Egg Harbor City. In addition to being a faithful and beloved husband, father and grandfather, he was an avid fisherman, bowler, woodworker and sports fan. He played basketball for Egg Harbor City High School and later played and coached baseball and softball in the City. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Cecelia (Ganiel) Casciano of Egg Harbor City; his children: Jean Casciano of Galloway, Nicholas Casciano, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth of Maplewood, Joseph Casciano and his wife, Nancy of Egg Harbor Township; his grandchildren: Lisa McGeoch and her husband, David of New Gretna, Christopher Casciano of Maplewood, Mari Casciano of Egg Harbor Township, Joanna Casciano and Matthew Casciano of Maplewood; his great grandchildren, Anastasia, Rebecca, Sarah and Jenna McGeoch of New Gretna; his sisters, Nina Conahan of Port Richey, FL and Connie Wysock of Seminole, FL and many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 3, 2002 and from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2002 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (609-965-0357). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2002 at St. Nicholas Church, 525 St. Louis Avenue, Egg Harbor City. Interment will follow at Egg Harbor City cemetery.

WEBER, R. PAUL 82, of Ocean City, died Easter Sunday at Ocean Point Health Care in Somers Point. Paul was an area resident for 25 years and was born in Scranton, Pa. Paul served in the Navy for 30 years as a Navy Pilot during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Paul commanded one of the Navy squadrons during the Berlin Air Lift. Paul was an avid golfer - member of the Navy golf team. Paul will be remembered with affection by all who knew his as a devoted husband and father and a friend to all.
Survived by his wife, Trude of 58 years; four daughters, Andrea Pancoast, Sandra Burnett, Tina Bannon, Polly Caffrey and son Dr. Paul (Rocky) Weber and eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Frances Cabrini Church 2nd and Atlantic Ave., Ocean City. Interment private. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Funeral under the direction of Middleton-Stroble & Zale Funeral Home, Shore Road, Somers Point. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Alzheimer's Research c/o A.H.A.F. 15825 Shady Grove Road, Rockville, MD 20850.

MERLINO, STEPHEN A., 72, of Buena Boro, died Monday morning in the Greenbriar Health Care Center in Hammonton after being in failing health. Steve was born and raised in South Philadelphia where he resided until moving to New Jersey in 1956. He was the son of the late Anthony & Mary Gallo Merlino.
Before retiring in 1987, Mr. Merlino was employed as a Diesel Mechanic for Penske Penn Detroit Diesel in Philadelphia for many years. He had also worked for Pacifico Ford. Mr. Merlino was a member of the 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus Council #2531 of Vineland. He was also a member of the St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, Vineland and the Vineland Moose Lodge. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War after which he also served in the Penna. National Guard.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Vasapollo), two sons, Anthony Merlino, of Pontiac, MI and Bruce Merlino, of N.E. Philadelphia, three daughters, Lorraine Neely, of Millville, Deborah Merlino, of Philadelphia, and JoJo Merlino, of Buena, one sister, Loretta Scardino, of Williamstown, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
His funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Thursday in the St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, 23 W. Chestnut Ave., Vineland, with burial to follow in the Atlantic County Veterans cemetery, Estell Manor. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday evening form 7:00-9:00 P.M. and again on Thursday from 8:30-9:30 P.M. at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland. For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. S.J. Chapter, 11000 Lincoln Drive West, Marlton, N.J. 08053.

VAN DUYNE, EILEEN M. (NEE O'DONNELL), 73, of Ventnor, passed peacefully from this world on February 3, 2002. Born in Philadelphia, Eileen moved to Ventnor with her family as a child and remained a lifelong, committed member of the Community. She met the love of her life, John, at the Ventnor Skating Rink and in their 49 years of marriage created a wonderful family and legacy of love and unity.
Eileen attended Our Lady Star of the Sea School, was a founding member of the Ventnor Height's Mother's Club and past President of the Ventnor Parents and Teacher's Association. Her life always centered around the activities of her children and grandchildren, and attended every ballgame, crew race and school play. Her devotion to family, kindness, and generosity will always stay in our hearts.
Throughout her life, she worked as a hostess in local restaurants such as, Jack Guischard's Steak House, The Neptune Inn, and The Ram's Head Inn. Later, before retirement she enjoyed serving as the executive receptionist at Bally's Park Place.
Eileen was active in the family boat building business and loved the beach and lifeguard races with her husband John. She also enjoyed baking, family dinners, reading, music and her dog Whitney.
Preceding her in death is her husband John. She is survived by her children, John and his wife Ellen, Thomas and his wife Elizabeth, and daughters Susan and Catherine, and grandchildren, Emily, Julie and Gretchen, all of Ventnor. Also surviving are a brother, Patrick O'Donnell and his wife Ellen of Absecon, and beloved nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 6th at St. James Church in Ventnor at 10 am. Friends may call from 9 am. The family suggests, for those who desire, a memorial contribution to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105 or a charity of their choice. Arrangements by the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, Ventnor.

JOHNSON, PRESTON F. 55, of Atlanta, GA, went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2002. He was born on October 30, 1946 to Marion C. Johnson and the late Walter Johnson and is preceded in death also by his brother, Walter C. Johnson. Preston attended the Atlantic City public schools an worked at several area restaurants and in the construction trade prior to relocating to Atlanta in 1981.
Surviving are his wife, Edna McLin-Johnson of Atlanta; his mother, Marion C. Johnson; four daughters, Davine Johnson-Wade and her husband, Curtis, Lisa M. Johnson, Evonda D. Wyatt, all of Atlantic City and Kira Johnson of Atlanta; one son, Hil-Kellan Johnson of Atlanta; two step-sobs, Samuel D. Johnson of Pleasantville, and Clarence Jones of Egg Harbor Township; grandchildren, Darryl, David, Kelsey, James, Halee, Trey and Ajani; four ants, Rev. Inez Holmes, Celestine Jackson and Adeline Marshall al of Pleasantville and Irene Marshall of Atlantic City; one uncle, Arthur Marshal of Pleasantville and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Allen A.M.E. Church, 1717 Bishop R. Allen Avenue. Viewing at church from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial in Greenwood cemetery of Pleasantville. Director of funeral, Mikal's (609-344-1131) Funeral Parlor, Inc.

MICHAEL, RALPH L., 61, of Oceanville, Galloway Twp., passed away on Friday, May 31, 2002 at ACMC-Mainland. Mr. Michael was born in Atlantic City and was a lifelong area resident. He served his country honorably from 1958 to 1962 aboard the USS Sullivans in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Warren Distributors for 17 years. He is survived by his wife, Donna De Santis Michael of Oceanville; his brothers: Charles Michael of Egg Harbor Twp., Bob Michael and Larry Michael both of Absecon; his sister, Doris Perri of Pleasantville; also numerous nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
His viewing will be Tuesday, June 4, 2002 from 6 to 8p.m. and Wednesday, June 5, 2002 from 10 to 11a.m. from Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Road, Galloway Twp. (609-641-0001), where his Funeral Service will begin at 11a.m. Interment at Oceanville cemetery. Memorials may be made to Atlantic County Humane Society, Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer Fund, or American Heart Fund.

BRIDGES, DOLORES M. (NEE MURPHY), Reverend, of Pleasantville, unexpectedly departed this life on the morning of May 31, 2002.
Dolores was born on July 5, 1941 to the late Robert Murphy and the late Doreather Ida Mae Murphy. She attended elementary school in Egg Harbor Township and high school in Atlantic City. She was a graduate of Atlantic Community College and had attended Stockton State College. Dolores obtained a degree in Theology from Jameson School of Theology in Philadelphia and was working towards a Doctrinal degree. Dolores was ordained as a Reverend by Jameson Evangelistic Association. She and her sisters sang as a group known as The Family Tree. Dolores was a member of Graves Temple C.O.G.I.C. She had lived her entire life in the Cardiff section of Egg Harbor Township and Pleasantville.
Dolores was a bus driver for New Jersey Transit. She also worked for Shulton's in Mays Landing, Atlantic Day Care Center in Atlantic City, and the Pleasantville School District as a Substitute Teacher.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was predeceased by two sisters, Rev. Joyce Hawkins and Doris Murphy.
Dolores leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Robert D. Murphy of Egg Harbor Township; two daughters, Leslie K. Murphy of Pleasantville and Linda K. Murphy of Mays Landing; one daughter-in-law, Rosa Murphy; two sisters, Shirley Ellis and Barbara Carter, both of Egg Harbor Township; one brother-in-law Freddie Carter; a dear friend, Jean Lawning of Atlantic City; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two aunts; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2002 at Saint Paul A.M.E. Church, 1203 Harrison Avenue, Pleasantville. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at the Atlantic City cemetery, Pleasantville.

SUTTON, JR., FRANK H., 86, of Ocean City, died on Saturday, June 1, 2002 at Linwood Convalescent Center. He was born in Sea Isle City and lived there for 30 years before moving to Cherry Hill for 40 years. He recently moved to Ocean City. He was a 32nd degree Mason of the Merchantville Lodge, a member of the National Rifle Association, an avid hunter, and a surf fisherman. He worked as a tool and die maker for the EMP Corp. in Moorestown. From 1959 to 1964, he worked for RCA on the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) in Thule, Greenland; Clear, Alaska; and the United Kingdom.
Mr. Sutton is survived by his sons, Frank H. III of Pennsauken, and Jonathan of Madison, WI; his daughters, Anna Marie Sutton of Cherry Hill, and Linda Siegrist of Clermont; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. His wife, Clara "Dolly" L. Sutton, preceded him in death on November 6, 1998.
Funeral services are private.

RUDOWSKY, MARY WENZ, 80, of Bridgeton, died at home on Saturday, June 1. She was the widow of Peter (Pat) Rudowsky who died at home on April 26. Born in Canada, she moved to Millville with her family as a child and to Bridgeton in 1942. She retired in 1988 after a long career with the Social Security Administration. She also spent several years accompanying her husband on consulting assignments for Owens Illinois affiliates in England, Scotland and Japan. She was an avid sportswoman, accomplished in tennis and golf. She also volunteered at Bridgeton Hospital and Hospice Care of South Jersey. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Brooke of Easton, CT and Marilyn Sharp of Alexandria, VA; one brother William Wenz of Millville; three sisters Sophie D'Emilio and Eva Hufsey of Millville and Julie Shelby of Bluffton, SC; four grandchildren Hilary and Sarah Brooke, Peter and Christopher Sharp all of New York City. Memorial services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Barbetti Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main St., Millville. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Care of South Jersey, 2848 S. Delsea Dr., Vineland, NJ 08360.

GARDNER, FRANCES, 96, of Ventnor, passed away on June 3, 2002. She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Jones of Maryland along with nieces, nephews and two beloved godsons. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Emeth Shalom cemetery in Cardiff. Arr. by Roth-Goldsteins' Memorial Chapel, Atlantic City.

BOZARTH, JANETTE G., 89, of Northfield, passed away on June 1, 2002 at Meadowview Nursing Home, Northfield. She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky and was a Northfield resident since 1946.
She was a past president of the Northfield Garden Club and was a member of the Shore Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Needlework Guild of America. She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Linwood.
She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Andrew. She is survived by her two sons, David R. and wife, Donna Bozarth of EHT, and Andrew T. Bozarth of Northfield; her daughter, Janette G. Jensen of Morgan, Utah; twelve grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.
Services will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2002 at the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. Burial will be at the Union cemetery, Mays Landing. Relatives and friends may call Thursday evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Central United Methodist Church Building Fund, 5 Marvin Avenue, Linwood, NJ 08221.

ZENAK, MICHAEL WILLIAM, 72, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on May 28, 2002 at the Veterans Hospital, Elsmere, DE after a long illness. He was born in Pennsylvania and grew up most of his life in Somers Point.
Mike served in the United States Army as a Helicopter pilot, and later did many things in the aviation field and then a small business owner in the area.
He will be missed by his three children, Linda Brewster, Mark Zenak and Debbie Zenak and his seven grandchildren, Anthony, Bryan, Joshua, Casey, Nicole, Jessica and Matthew; his two great grandchildren, Bryan and Lauren and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins from PA and NJ alike, also his many Army buddies all across the U.S.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, June 10, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Vincent DePaul Church, Mays Landing. Burial will be held at Atlantic County Veterans cemetery, Estell Manor. Arrangements by Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, Northfield.

MALINSKI, GRACE, 82, of Egg Harbor Twp., died Sunday, June 2, 2002. Grace was born in Atlantic City. She was a housewife.
Grace is the beloved wife of the late Stanley Malinski. She is survived by her children, Stanley J. Malinski of Egg Harbor Twp. and Josephine Pfirman of Pensacola, FL. Also surviving are her sister Dora Pinkham of Cardiff; her grandchildren, Kim Rifkin, Roger Malinski, Donald Pfirman, Donna Marie Heist, Steve Pfirman and nine great grand-children.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Life Celebration and Viewing Thursday, June 6, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Wabash Ave, Linwood. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing. Family services by Jeffries & Keates Funeral Home, Northfield.
