Schubert, Barbara L.

SCHUBERT, BARBARA L., 62, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011 at her home. Born in Camden to the late John and Althea (Raras) McGee, she lived most of her life in this area. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Goshen. Her grandchildren were her life.

Mrs. Schubert is survived by her husband of 42 years, Richard D. Schubert, Sr.; her son, Richard D. Schubert, Jr. and wife Vittoria; her grandchildren, Richard D. Schubert, III, and Cynthia Schubert; her aunt, Linda Pope; and her sisters, Cheryl Van Eps, Althea (Pudgy) Becker, Doreen Shelton, Diane McCaffrey, and Roberta Bauer-Grippi. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, David Giddens.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Goshen Methodist cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1801 Route 9 North, Swainton, NJ 08210.

Sartorio, Patricia Ann

Patricia Ann Sartorio, 68, of Swainton, went home to the Lord on Saturday, March 26, 2011. Born in Morristown to the late William and Mary (Mansfield) Nicholson, she moved to Swainton 13 years ago from Egg Harbor City. She was an OB nurse at Shore Memorial Hospital and worked part time at Wright At Home Agency until July 2010. She was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling with her family, spending time with her good friends from Shore Memorial, and hosting Sunday dinners for her family.

Mrs. Sartorio is survived by her children, Gail Schlue, Donna (Matthew) Rubcich, George Schlue, Jr., Cynthia (Matthew) Dykhouse; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Nicholas) Stepenowsky, George Schlue, III, Anthony (Brittany) Berenato, Matthew Rubcich, Christine Rubcich, Karl Wicks, Kyle Schlue, Patricia Rubcich, Coryn Dykhouse, Hailey Rubcich, and Joshua Dykhouse; her great granddaughter, Angelina Berenato; her sister, Joan Nicholson; and her fiancé, Edward Garvin.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 9212 Third Avenue, Stone Harbor. Viewings will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House and on Friday at the church from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1801 Route 9 North, Swainton, NJ 08210 or to the family.

Fay, Martha (Martie) Jean

Martha (Martie) Fay, nee Lowder, 58, of South Seaville, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2011 with her family by her side. Martie was born and raised in Glenside, PA, a small suburb of Philadelphia. She is predeceased by her mother and father, Florence and Lloyd (Jimmy) Lowder. She attended Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy and graduated in 1970. She immediately went into the work force at Prudential Insurance Co. in Fort Washington, PA and Newark, NJ, where she continued until a small group of friends invited her to Sea Isle City for a weekend where she met Daniel Fay and they have been married since 1971. They moved briefly to Arizona but returned home to Sea Isle City. She has worked for AAA and several other jobs but truly found a home in real estate which she continued to do until her passing. She worked at Farina and Boeshe for many years. She loved her job as office manager and loved the people she worked with. She was a member of the Sea Isle Ambulance Corps and served as secretary for several years.

Martie is survived by two older sisters, Winifred (Hassan) Qawasmy and Frances Bentley; and several nephews. She is also survived by her beloved husband of 39 years Daniel; wonderful daughter Dawn (Kevin) Stanfa; and grandson Paul Short, Jr. The immediate family enjoys camping, gardening, and other outside activities.

Services will be held at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 4:00 p.m., where viewing will begin at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private as per family request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sea Isle Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 194, Sea Isle City, NJ 08243.

Fowler, Albert S.
Fire Department

Albert S. Fowler, 74 of Cape May Court House, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011. Born in Delmont, NJ to Albert and Julia Fowler, he worked for the New Jersey Highway Authority and was a member of the Dennisville Fire Co.

He is survived by his wife Lillian; his daughter Bonnie (Bob) Vitola; grandson Joshua; sister in law Helen Hinchliffe; niece Sharon Lilla; nephew Doug Hinchliffe; as well as other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Elsie Tomlin.

Services are private as requested by the family. Donations may be made in Albert's name to the Dennisville Fire Company, 721 Petersburg Road, Dennisville, NJ 08214.

Kossyvakis, Denise Lynn

Denise Lynn Kossyvakis, 55, of Woodbine, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 at her home. Born in Pittsfield, MA to the late Oley and Agnes (Cashman) Mansen, she was raised in Pittsfield and moved to Woodbine 25 years ago. She and her family own Dionysus Restaurant in Woodbine. She was a member of St. Casimir's Church and the Woodbine Chamber of Commerce.

Mrs. Kossyvakis adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed traveling. The go to person for her family and friends, she had a big heart and was very generous.

Mrs. Kossyvakis is survived by her husband Evangelos Kossyvakis; her son Stefan Kossyvakis and wife Stacie; her daughter Jacqueline LaDouceur; her four grandchildren Yiannis Kossyvakis, Olivia Kossyvakis, Denise North, and Elizabeth Lewis; her brother and sisters Carole M. Seluke (Walter), David O. Mansen (Sandra), Judith T. Miers, Kathleen A. Salvini (Stephen), and Diane F. Arthur (Eugene); her sisters in law Joan Mansen and Dale Mansen; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Mansen and John E. Mansen.

Funeral Mass will be said on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir's Church, 304 Clay Street, Woodbine. A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Love of Linda Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260.

Mansfield, Jennifer

Jennifer Mansfield, 51, of Cape May Court House, passed away on March 24, 2011. Born in Philadelphia, she attended Saint Raymond's Grade School and graduated Lower Cape May Regional High School. Her warm heart touched many people as a bartender at Jake's. She was loved and will never be forgotten.

Surviving are her sons, Jason and Jeffrey; daughters, Laura and Kristi; and two grandchildren, Madison and Camryn; all of this community. She is also survived by her former husband, Jay; her mother, Laura Kershaw; her sister, Jacqueline (Steve) Russell; and a brother, James (Nancy) Kershaw; all of Cape May Court House.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260.

Dodson, Deborah Ann

Deborah Ann Dodson, 59, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center - Mainland Division. Born in Apollo, PA, she lived here for 20 years after living in Rio Grande. She was a member of the Cape May Lutheran Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the NJEA. She was a second grade teacher at Middle Township Elementary School #1.

Mrs. Dodson is survived by her daughter, Michelle Dodson; and her mother, Betty Ridenour of Apollo, PA. She was predeceased by her father, Kenneth Ridenour.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be announced at the service.

Dixon, Jr., Clarence E.

DIXON JR., CLARENCE E., 73, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011. He was born in Sicklerville to the late Clarence E. and Amelia (Hawk) Dixon, Sr. and moved to Cape May County over 40 years ago.

Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife, Pauline; his stepchildren, Pauline Navarro and Michelle Alston; his step grandchildren, Georgette Morrison, Haley Alston, April Heckman, and Eric Saunders; and his step great grandson, Christopher Lee Walton. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Howard Jordan; and his step grandchildren, Joshua Morrison and Suelynn Alston.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.

Hart, Helen M.

Hart, Helen M., 90 - of Rio Grande, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at her home. Born in Philadelphia to John and Concetta Fusaro, she vacationed in the area since the 1940's before moving permanently in 1972. Helen was a giving person and the life of the party wherever she went. She loved to sing and was well known as the sidekick for Johnny Taco. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph and her son Michael Hart. She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Tara) Hart and Mac (Bev) Hart.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen's name to the Cape May County Animal Shelter, 4 Moore Rd. 501B, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Kemly, Emma E.
Navy

Kemly, Emma E., 89 - A native of Stone Harbor, was an original student and member of the 1st graduating class of Stone Harbor Elementary School. She was a graduate of Middle Township High School in 1939 and Rider Business College in 1942. She was a direct descendant of The Mayflower and the American Revolution. Emma was a World War II Navy Veteran and Vice President of Citibank in New York City. She was the first woman Commander of the Stephen Ludlam American Legion Post 331, and Cape May County American Legion. She was predeceased by husband Ray Kemly whom she met while they both served in the US Navy. Daughter of Frank W. Ebelhare and Anna Holmes Ebelhare. Beloved Mother of Ronald H. Kemly (Theresa) and Raymond E. Kemly (Gail) Grandmother of Shannon Kemly Riccio (Angelo), Ronald H. Kemly II (Alyson) and Melissa Davis. Great grandmother of Daniel and Lucy Riccio and Ronald III and Abigail Kemly. In her later years, she was dedicated to the American Legion where she held the offices of Membership Chairman, Service Officer, and Treasurer, in addition to Commander, over the years. Emma was one of a kind, generous to a fault, who was loved and will be missed by her many friends and family.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 93rd Street and Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery. Rosenfeld, Marjorie F.

Marjorie F. Rosenfeld, 91, of Woodbine, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011 at the South Jersey Healthcare Hospice in Bridgeton. Born in Philadelphia to the late Walter J. and Margaret (Plews) Freeman, she has lived here for over 60 years after moving from Seaford, NY. She graduated from Girls High School in Philadelphia and earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Rosenfeld was a third and fourth grade teacher at Woodbine Elementary School from 1955 to 1985. After her retirement, she was a member of the Woodbine Board of Education. She was an active member of the Woodbine Community Center, the AARP, the Retired Educators Association of Cape May County, and the Sam Azeez Museum of Woodbine Heritage. She enjoyed writing, especially plays and poems. She finished a book that was never published.

Mrs. Rosenfeld is survived by her daughter, Katherine L. Daniels of Cedarville; her son, Stephen M. Rosenfeld and wife Judith E. of Forked River; her four grandchildren, Stephen, Matthew, Jeanette, and Benjamin; and three great grandchildren, Nicholas, Samuel, and Noah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard C. Rosenfeld on April 18, 1985.

Funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir's Church, 304 Clay Street, Woodbine. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Interment will be in Head of the River cemetery, Estell Manor. Memorial donations may be made to St. Casimir's Church, P.O. Box 533, Woodbine, NJ 08270 or to the Sam Azeez Museum of Woodbine Heritage, P.O. Box 517, Woodbine, NJ 08270.

Quirk, Sr., William F.
Army

William F. Quirk, Sr., 88, of Clementon, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Cape Regional Medical Center, Cape May Court House. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late James and Agnes (McCormick) Quirk, he moved to Rio Grande six months ago after living in Clementon. An Army Veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Brass Club of NJ Transit.

Mr. Quirk is survived by his wife, Elaine (nee Przywara) Quirk; his children, William Quirk, Jr., Pamela Musero, Brenda Carrell, Bonnie Akridge, and Sherri Messenger; his brother, James; his sister, Elizabeth; 6 grandchildren; and his great granddaughter, Kayleigh.

Funeral services will be private.

Ashton, Dorothy O.

Ashton, Dorothy, 81 - of Goshen, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011. She was born in Camden to Harold and Dorothy (formerly Hibbert) Ogden. She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Cape May where she loved singing in the choir.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, George; her daughters, Shirley Joyce (Roger) Clark, Donna Lynn (Matthew) Soennichsen, Dorothy E. (Thomas) Hargest, and Marcie E (Charles) Hughes; as well as 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Pamela S. Rehrer, son-in-law William Rehrer, and 3 grandchildren.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hepatitis C Association, 1351 Cooper Road, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076-2844 or at www.hepcassoc.org.

Monush, Sonja Winther

Sonja Winther Monush, born in Maplewood NJ, lived in Brookside, NJ for 47 years before retiring to Cape May Court House. Concert violinist and teacher, mother. Played with the NJ Symphony, and many local orchestras in NJ. Taught violin for over 50 years to many local children. Member of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. Husband Joseph Monush deceased, Son William Feyrer and wife Patricia, four grandchildren David , Michael, Ryan, Katelynn, two great grandchildren Meredith and Josephine Feyrer. A private memorial is planned.

Chiera, Deborah M.
Coast Guard

Chiera, Deborah M., 55 - of Woodbine passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Born in Morristown to Carl and Jacqueline (formerly Renz) Chiarolanzio, she moved to the area in 1991 after living in California. She served in the U.S. Coast Guard and later worked at Cape Bank in Cape May Court House.

Along with her parents she is survived by her husband Tom; her children Jessica, Allison, and Thomas, Jr.; her sisters Diana, Kathy, and Chrissy; her brothers Richard and Carl; and her grandchildren Hayley, Brooke, Tyler, Chase, Shelby, Thomas III, and Nathan.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 12 noon at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Love of Linda Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260.
