Ruthenbeck, Alfred W.

Alfred W. Ruthenbeck, 85, of Burleigh, died on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Eastern Shore Nursing Home. He was born in Jersey City and moved here in 1951. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He liked to fish.

Mr. Ruthenbeck is survived by his children, Ed Ruthenbeck and wife Carolyn of Erma, Alice Ruthenbeck of Burleigh, and Catherine Owens and husband Bob of Largo, FL; his two grandchildren, Crystal Harris and Scott Robart; and his four great grandchildren, Raymond Morton, Katie Harris, Samantha Harris, and Nina Neuer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor on February 23, 2005.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 803 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Baptist cemetery, Cape May Court House. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church at the above address.

Jenkins, Joyce A.

Jenkins, Joyce A., 60, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Monday, November 1st, 2010. She is survived by her sons Charles of Virginia, Shane, and Shawn Jenkins of North Plainfield; and her fiancé George Whitmore.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 9th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Bogan, Robert J.
Navy

Robert J. Bogan, 86, of Cape May Court House, NJ, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 29, 2010. He was formerly employed at Philco/Ford. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II.

Mr. Bogan is the beloved husband of Elizabeth; and father of Barbara (John), Sharon, Robert (Jane), and Edward. Also survived by his loving sister Veronica (Nebel); and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to his funeral services on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 12:00 PM at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, South Jersey Region, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.

Koob, Jacqueline Anne

Jacqueline Anne (Bramble) Koob, 45, of Cape May Court House, passed away unexpectedly on October 29, 2010. Jacqui was a strong influence to the people in her life. Her true loves were her children, family and friends. She will be most remembered for her big heart and her unfailing generosity.

Jacqui is survived by her beloved children: her son John "JT" Teti (Brandi), and her cherished grandson, John William Teti; and her two daughters McKayla and Hannah Koob. She is also survived by her parents William and Joyce Bramble, her two brothers William (Megan) Bramble and Kevin (Leslie) Bramble, and her niece and nephew Haley and Greyson Bramble, numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and her dearest friends the Lauriello Family especially Sheila and Missy. Jacqui is predeceased by her brother Gregory Bramble.

Funeral Services will be held at the Radzieta Funeral Home at 9 Hand Avenue in Cape May Court House on Thursday, November 4, 2010. A viewing will be held from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. The service will begin at 11:00AM with the burial following immediately at the Fairview cemetery on Route 9 in Cape May Court House. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 41, Avalon, NJ 08202.

Wilkinson, June C.

June C. Wilkinson, 90, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Eastern Shore Nursing Home. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI and moved to Cape May County in 1974 from Summit. She was an artist and enjoyed all types of art.

Mrs. Wilkinson is survived by her children, Gail (Aaron) Brand of Boca Raton, FL, Amy W. (Dan) Kleuskens of South Dennis, and Richard Bossone of Brigantine; her five grandchildren, Robert (Susan) Altman, Laura Altman, Gail (Kyle) Kingman, Sherry Anne Phillips, and Jennifer Lambert; and her seven great grandchildren, Gabriel, Natalee, Kaylei, Keira, Brittany, Austin, and Ava. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence W. Wilkinson.

Funeral services will be private.

Delancey, Jr., Herschel D.

DELANCEY JR., HERSCHEL D., 80, of Ocean View, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 25, 2010. He will be sadly missed by numerous friends and family.

He was predeceased by his daughter Eva Delancey Melitto. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years Marie Teresa; three sons Herschel Delancey, III, David Delancey, and James Delancey, all of Ocean View; three granddaughters, Brittany, Rebecca, and Kelsey; and two great grandsons, Jacob and Joshua Meyer.

He was a lifelong resident and one of the original families of Cape May County, a true treasure of Ocean View. He was born in Seaville and was the owner of Delancey Roofing in the 50's. Following that, he was a sheet metal worker for Airwork, Inc. of Millville for 32 years. He was a member of Seaville Methodist Church. He attended Dennis Township Elementary School and Middle Township High School.

He enjoyed being out on the water - crabbing, fishing, and clamming. But most of all, he loved being a father, grandpop, and great grandfather. His stories of old Cape May County were priceless. He enjoyed cooking his famous family Sunday dinners where his entire family would gather around him.

He was an avid hunter and was a green thumb in the garden. Most days you could find him in the garden, passing on lessons to all his buddies so that they could grow better crops.

He was a kind and loving man whose smile was infectious and his sense of humor was second to none. He was an avid sports fan and could always find him in front of the TV watching his beloved Phillies, Eagles, and Nascar.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Seaville Methodist cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Belleplain Emergency Corps, 138 Washington Ave.. Belleplain, NJ 08270 or the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Road, Absecon, NJ 08201.

Helfer, Joseph W.
Army

HELFER, JR., JOSEPH W., passed away on October 22, 2010 after a prolonged illness at the age of 71. He passed away at home with his loving family and in the company of his son John and daughter Lisa. He was born on March 2, 1939 in Camden, NJ at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Mr. Helfer was a lifelong resident of New Jersey until moving to Maryland so that his family could help with his care. Mr. Helfer was a U.S. Army veteran and avid supporter of those who served in the military.

He is survived by his son John Helfer, daughters Michele Helfer, Lisa Fristrom and Tara Helfer, (sons in law Khaled Sadek and Robert Fristrom), and his grandchildren Eihab Sadek, Steven Sayavong, Savannah Helfer, Amanda Insixiengmay, Gabrielle Helfer, Jesse Helfer, Alicia Fristrom, Madison Helfer, Cassandra and Diana Fristrom. He is also survived by his three great-grandchildren, Ayla Helfer, Dante Sayavong, and Riley Helfer. Mr. Helfer is also survived by his long time friend and former wife Nettie Namaalla.

The Service will be held on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery. Since Joseph was never fond of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Leo, Mary Dolores "Dolly"

Mary Dolores "Dolly" Leo, 81, of Swainton, died suddenly on Friday, October 22, 2010 at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and had lived in the Olney Section of Philadelphia prior to moving to Cape May County in 1981.

Dolly was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Edward J. Leo, in 1977. She was a slot supervisor for Trump Marina before retirement. She enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren as they were her life. Dolly enjoyed attending her children's church, The Lighthouse Church, reading, baking and playing with the family dogs.

She is survived by her children, Dianne Leo-Webb and husband Niles Webb, Daniel J. Leo, Joseph E. Leo, and Kate Cooper; her brothers, Kenneth (Mary Anne) Krause, Kevin (Nikki) Krause, and Charles "Sonny" Krause; several nieces and nephews; her grandchildren, Andrea (Jack) McDonough; Eddie Moore; Ian, Riley (Annie), Seth, and Max Cooper; and her great grandchildren, Michael, Kayla, and Jacky.

Funeral Mass will be said on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Resurrection, 200 West Tuckahoe Road, Marmora. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 26 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House and on Wednesday, October 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be private in Beverly National cemetery.

DiPaola, Veronica A.

Veronica A. DiPaola, "Muzz", 68, of Green Creek, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center - Mainland Division. She was born in Philadelphia to the late Vincent and Anne Marie (McDermott) Riley. She was previously employed at Bayada Nurses in Linwood. She was a member of St. Raymond's Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. DiPaola is survived by her children, Loretta M. Bailey, Karen A. DiPaola, Donnamarie Fratto, Dominic J. DiPaola, Mary Jo Dagney, Joseph Dagney, Edward Dagney, Genevieve Sparano, Elizabeth Nevil, and Anne Marie Dagney; fourteen grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Road, Absecon, NJ 08201.

Lyons, Mark

Mark Lyons, 60, of Sea Isle City, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010. Born in Chicago, he was a local painter. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at Seaside cemetery, Palermo.

Alexander, Kathleen M.

Kathleen M. Alexander, (nee Frazier), 63, of Erma, passed away at home on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 after a long struggle with cancer. Katie was born in Philadelphia and resided in Erma for the past 45 years. Katie was well known as the owner of Alexander Farms on Route 47 South in Cape May Court House for many years, providing fresh locally grown vegetables, fruits, and flowers for local residents and markets. In addition to her love for flowers and rescue dogs, she enjoyed sleepovers, making crafts and baking with her grandchildren.

Our beloved Katie will be sadly missed by her long time companion Joseph Pietrowski; sons John Alexander and Joseph Frazier; sisters Letitia Rygalski, Roberta Pooler and her husband Micky, Linda Long, Shirley Turner and her husband Stanley; grandchildren Alyssa Frazier, Joseph Frazier and Noah Alexander; four nephews, seven nieces, five great nephews, ten great nieces, one great great niece and one great great nephew.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Tabernacle cemetery, Erma. Memorial donations may be made to Love of Linda Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260.

Smith, Donald B.

Donald B. Smith, age 64, of Stone Harbor, NJ, formerly of Telford, PA, died October 19, 2010 following a four year battle with cancer.

He was born in Philadelphia, June 13, 1946 to the late George and Evelyn Smith. He graduated from Upper Darby High School and Temple University and served his country in the U. S. Coast Guard.

After working for Philadelphia Electric Company, Don established Smith Fox Associates, Inc., an interior landscape company, located in Telford, serving the tri-state area. He successfully managed this company for 25 years as President and CEO, until retirement in 2000. Following retirement, he was a part time realtor at Coldwell Banker in Stone Harbor.

Don was an avid fisherman. He fished in both fresh and salt water destinations around the world. His favorite pastime was fishing for flounder, stripers, tuna and bill fish in South Jersey. Additional interests include horticulture, art, and travel. Don was also active in the American Legion, Post 331. He was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Stone Harbor.

Don is survived by his wife Charlene Fox Smith; daughters Megan E. Smith, Esq. and Abigail Torres; and his sister Gail Alexander.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay tribute to Don at a memorial service, Saturday, October 30th, 10:45 AM, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 93rd St. and 3rd Ave., Stone Harbor, NJ. Visitation will be held at 9:45 AM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to Cape Regional Medical Center Foundation, 2 Stone Harbor Blvd., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Taylor, Thomas Edward

Taylor, Thomas Edward, 75, of Clermont passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at his home. He was born in Oxford, NC to the late James and Lula Jeffries Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife Rosa, a daughter Carolyn (Michael) Polk of Kentucky, a son Thomas (Corie) Taylor, Jr., and grandson Thomas Taylor III; sister Bernice Steed of East Orange; and brother William A. Taylor of East Brunswick. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
