Frame, Frances Dorothy

Frances Dorothy Frame, 86, of Palermo, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Born in Yonkers, NY to the late Patrick and Frances Mary (Walsh) Duffy, she moved here over 30 years ago.

Mrs. Frame is survived by her husband, John W. Frame; her daughter, Dianne Kennedy of Florida; her six step children; her sister, Barbara Jaskolowski of Texas; her four grandchildren and six step grandchildren; and her two great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, David Gray.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

Jackson, Virginia Repici Castiglione

JACKSON, VIRGINIA REPICI CASTIGLIONE, 95, of Ocean City, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010 at Crest Haven Nursing Home. Born in Belleplain to the late Domenick and Katherine (Ilacqua) Repici, she was a lifetime resident of Cape May County. She was a member of St. Augustine Church in Ocean City. She was formerly employed as a seamstress for clothing factories in Atlantic City and Woodbine. A former bowling league member and softball player, she liked gardening, shopping, dancing, and walking.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her goddaughter, Kathryn McCleary of Florida; her sisters, Jennie Marucci of Mays Landing, and Rose Filachek of Woodbine; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing.

Crawford Jr., Clarence James

Clarence James Crawford, Jr., a.k.a. Ceaz, was born in Cape May Court House, NJ and passed away on October 14, 2010 at 4:30 a.m. in Mesa, AZ. He was a member of Bethel Commandment Church. He was a pharmacy tech going to school to become a pharmacist.

Clarence Jr. left behind his mother Michelle and father Clarence; sister Mary and brother Rashawn; and a host of aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Commandment Church, George Street, Whitesboro. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Household of Ruth cemetery, Pennsylvania Avenue, Whitesboro.

Berry, Valerie M.

Valerie M. Berry, 77, of Pleasantville, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center - Mainland Division. Born in Atlantic City to the late Elias and Louise (Wyatt) Moore, she lived here for 14 years after moving from Atlantic City. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Whitesboro where she was on the Ministerial Staff. She was formerly employed by the Overseas Ministries Study Center. She was also a seamstress and beautician and enjoyed cooking.

Mrs. Berry is survived by her husband, Elder Charles W. Berry of Pleasantville; her daughter, Patricia Lynch of Atlanta, GA; her granddaughter, Brittany James of Atlanta, GA; her brother, Paul Moore of Pleasantville; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at the Christ Gospel Church, 2209 Route 9 South, Whitesboro, where viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mt. Olive cemetery, Swainton.

Lackey, Audrey L.

Audrey L. Lackey, age 82, of North Wildwood, died on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Walter B. and Ethel (Sawyer) Moody, and moved to this area in 1978.

Audrey was a very active member of The First Baptist Church of Whitesboro where she lived for many years. She formerly worked for the Defense Supply Agency in Philadelphia, the Farmers Home Administration, and in 1988, she opened her real estate agency.

She is survived by a brother, Richard E. Moody; a sister, Helen Colbert; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 12:00 noon at the First Baptist Church, Route 9 and Main Street, Whitesboro, where friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00. There is no viewing after the service. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

Vassallo, Rose

Rose Vassallo, 95, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Crest Haven Nursing Home. Born in Manhattan to the late Adolph and Maria (Bourek) Wlk, she moved here in 1977 from Philadelphia.

Mrs. Vassallo is survived by her son David of Cape May Court House; her daughter Rose Marie Del Vecchio of Margate; and her grandchildren Theresa Kerrigan, Kimberly Vanstrien, Jacqueline Lorenz, and Michael Del Vecchio. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Vassallo.

Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring. Memorial donations may be made to PKS Kids, 200 Riverside Blvd., Apt. 303, New York, NY 10069

Rooney, Mary M.

Rooney, Mary M., 85, of Wildwood passed away on Thursday, October 7th, 2010 at her home. She was born in Philadelphia to James and Genevieve McDowell-Fitzpatrick and worked for the Provident Mutual Life Insurance Co. for 40 years. She moved from Yeadon, PA to Wildwood in 1987. She was predeceased by her husband William in 1990.

Mary is survived by her sons William and Patrick Rooney, both of Wildwood; sister Winneford Navas of Broomall, PA; grandchildren Patrick, Ashley, and Dylan; great grandchild Adrjonna; along with nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brothers James and Joseph Fitzpatrick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame de la Mer Parish, St. Ann's Church, 2901 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, NJ 08260. Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross cemetery in Mays Landing.

Roseto, Bennie Dominick

Coast Guard

Bennie Dominick Roseto, 90, of Rio Grande, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at his home. Born in West Hickory, PA to the late Prospero and Vincenza (Curato) Roseto and then baptized and raised in Ridgway, PA, he moved here in 1971 from Groton, CT. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a Coast Guard Veteran of the Korean War. He was in one of the last horse cavalries for the United States. He was a member of the American Legion and the DAV. He could be found regularly at the Rio Grande Shop-Rite, socializing on the bench.

Mr. Roseto is survived by his son, Jack Needham; his brothers and sisters, Nardina "Sarge" Piccari, Patsy Roseto, Jane Corey, Louis Roseto, Rudolph "Mickey" Roseto, Dino Roseto, Gloria Hoffman, and Arcelia Heilberger; his two grandchildren, Jack Jr. and Linda; and three great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Rio Grande Bible Baptist Church, 1107 Route 47 South, Rio Grande. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Rio Grande Baptist Academy, 1107 Route 47 South, Rio Grande, NJ 08242.

Rose, Mary Catharine

Rose, Mary Catharine, 83, of Del Haven, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Wildwood to the late William and Alda (Ewing) Baldwin, she was a lifetime resident of this area. She was a member of the AVVA (Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America) Chapter 602 and of the auxiliary of the Green Creek Fire Company. She was an avid Bingo player and taught ceramics at the Vocational School. She loved to do seek and find puzzles and to sit for hours writing poetry.

Mrs. Rose is survived by her children, William G. Rose of Texas, Sue Ann Wheeler of Goshen, and Catharine Chidley of Cape May Court House; her seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred G. Rose, Jr.; and her son, James A. Rose.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Seaside cemetery, Palermo.

Hillegass, Rebecca Ann

Rebecca Ann Hillegass, age 58 years, of Villas, NJ died on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the Cape Regional Medical Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. She was born in Washington, DC to Harvey H. Brown and the late Eileen Ruth and has lived here for the past five years coming from Goshen, NJ. She was a Residential Aide with the ARC of Cape May County.

She is survived by her three children; Michael Hillegass of Vineland, Gary Hillegass of the Villas and Allison Hillegass of the Villas, her father, Harvey H. Brown, brother, Jeff and his wife Michele Brown, sister, Susan and her husband Martin Sparks and three grand children; Zachary, Mikey & Charles.

Services and interment are private.

McNear, Aaron "Jack"

Aaron "Jack" McNear, 81, of Woodbine, NJ, died after a lengthy illness at Shore Memorial Hospital on September 29, 2010.

Jack was the son of the late Claude, Sr. and Cleo McNear, and was a lifelong resident of Woodbine.

He worked on the Woodbine Police Department, and later for the Progressive Life Insurance Company.

Jack was an elder at the Woodbine Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witnesses. He helped and encouraged people for over 30 years which he greatly enjoyed.

His hobbies were shooting pool, playing cards, traveling, and telling corny jokes.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Vera T. McNear and their daughter from this union, Linda McNear; also his brother, Claude, Jr.; sisters in law, Cornelia and Lucille; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

He is predeceased by his brothers, Benny and Edward, and his sister, Vera Dawson.

Jack will be greatly missed by his loving family and devoted friends as he waits for the resurrection of a Paradise here on Earth.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witnesses, 513 Webster Avenue, Woodbine, NJ. Interment is private.

Verity, Kevin H.

Kevin H. Verity, age 44, died on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at his home. As a lifetime resident, he was born in Cape May Court House, NJ, the son of Lavenia nee Pfaff and the late Richard F. Verity.

Kevin enjoyed restoring cars including his Corvette; enjoyed holidays especially Christmas and enjoyed cooking and arranging gatherings for family and friends.

Kevin received many certificates from Rutgers University Center for Government Services completing Public Works-Operations Resource Management, and had been employed by the City of Wildwood as superintendent of public works.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah; a step daughter, Nicole T. Kelleher; his mother, Lavenia McGill and step father, Martin McGill; eight brothers and sisters: Karen Sykes, William Thron, Jr., Kim Torres, Kenneth Verity, Dana Niederberger, Bettyjo Sideravage, Donna Schmidt and Richard Verity, Jr.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may visit 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Interment is private. Memorials in his memory may be made to Animal Welfare Society Of Cape May County, Inc., 40 Route 47 South, Dias Creek, NJ 08210.
